I went to the library to check out the first one, but all the copies were checked out so now I can't read it. I really need to get my own copies. Who is your favorite Harry Potter character? OH god the drill! That was a good episode, what with Ty Lee fighting Katara. x) Oh god, it took me about eight years to find the seventh book and buy it because every store i went to was sold out. >w< Um it's hard to say but I really love Sirius, but at the same time I love Snape. I also nearly screamed when Sokka and Tsuki kissed! I just feel really bad for him because his luck with the ladies never seems to work out and I just want to give him a big hug. Woah, eight years???? I'm so sorry! On the upside though, if you need to finish your HP collection, it should be pretty easy now. I wish I lived in London so I could see Harry Potter and the Cursed Child. Aaaaa, Snape is one of my favorites, too! For me though, it's definitely a toss-up between Luna and Hagrid. Both of them are really underrated and it makes me sad.

Sorry for not responding sooner! Ikr? Ugh that's just so sad! >w< On a side note how do you feel about Aang/Katara? Like as a romantic Pairing? And i love Tsuki/Sokka they're just so damn adorable! <3 I especially like how Tsuki can keep Sokka in line but some part of me wishes Sokka and Toph would happen. My mom ended up ordering online for me so it's fine. Aha same here. I'd go and see it during it's opening week. Aha i know! Luna and Hagrid are my among my favorites. I kinda wish J.K. Roweling would write a series about Hagrid and maruader cause you gotta think they were all in school together at the same time (unless movies mixed up the timeline a bit).

Ikr? I didn't like Jet all that much but hes defintely proven hes over the whole fire nation taking everything from him. I honestly thought he would join Team Avatar after redeeming himself somehow. Aang's and Aapa's reunion is so sweet and adorable. <3

It's okay! I finally made it to book three and hoo, I was so angry at the ending of book two. I hate Azula so so much. Tbh, I don't really like Aang/Katara as a romantic ship? At first, I was okay with it, but when Katara became his entire being and even prevented him from going into his avatar state when he was with the guru, I got pretty pissed. I understand why he did it, but come on? Not only that, but the fact that he thought only of her. What about Sokka and Toph? The latter two aren't completely controlled by love for someone they're crushing on, they do what they do to A) save the world and B) do everything they can to save their loved ones, not just one person. What do you think of it?

I really hope Tsuki isn't dead! The last time I saw her she was fighting Azula and that's it??? I'm going to be heartbroken if she dies though. Tsuki and Sokka are a HUGE ship of mine. I love them so much. I love how at first he judged her for being a woman warrior and then she proved that she could kick ass and even taught him a few things.

However, with shipping, the one mini episode made me ship Toph and Katara. I think they'd be really cute together and I'm considering writing a modern day college au where they meet and everything.

I think Jet would have joined team Avatar fully if not for him being killed, tbh.

Aha i know how that is. I was angry, too, because you know that would backfire in his face in the end. How're you enjoying book three so far? I found it kind of endearing at first, too, but honestly I only saw them more as mother/son or big sis/lil bro kinda thing, not that they dont get along great or anything. Exactly, he didn't think of Toph being trapped, let alone that that letter could be a trap for her because from how her parents acted in front of her and the others, you could tell they wouldn't give Toph up so easily. And if Aang could sense Katara was in trouble, he could've sensed Toph was. too.

Aha, no, she isn't, but I'm not gonna ruin it for you if you haven't reached the middle of the season/book yet. xD I did, too because that showed how much Sokka grew up.

I would so totally read that! Toph and Katara do make a pretty cute couple and it's even cuter when they're arguing (them arguing is actually hilarious tbh) Btw, speaking of femme pairings in Avatar, what do you think of Ty Lee and Azula? A few years ago, I found stumbled upon some Azula/Ty Lee fanfics and i found that I love that pairing so much!

Exactly! Because had they been able to free him from the Lake Lao Gai Hypnosis thing, he would've truly been changed and would've officially apologized to Katara and joined them. Honestly, at one point, i was hoping he would join them along with Smeller Bee and Li(?) so that Smeller Bee would've gotten paired up with Jet.

I'm so sorry I didn't respond yesterday. >< A couple shounen ai/close to it that I really like are Shounen Onmyouji, Tactics, and Yami no Matsuei. Others that need shounen ai b/c goddammit it'd be so cute, are the Natsume Yuujinchou series. Then there's full on yaoi like Junjou Romantica and Viewfinder (which I believe was finally made into an anime a few years back)

Yeah, I see Aang and Katara as more older sister/little brother, tbh. Exactly, though! It's like, yeah, Toph was able to get out of her situation herself, but she was still kidnapped and hadn't completely learned how to metal bend yet, so it's like??? Good job, Aang. Toph is part of the Avatar family now, but sometimes it feels like she isn't treated as such. She's also basically the youngest- the baby- of the group. I just want her to be safe and protected at all costs.

I'm on episode three of book three. It's okay so far. My only problem with it is that it seems to be moving a little too fast. I understand that it probably has to be that way, but I'm not a fan of it. The past books were slow-going in a way and weren't totally fast-paced. In terms of actual content though, Azula says she's just looking out for Zuko, but I don't believe it for a second. She has a lot up her sleeves; like, I fully believe she thinks Zuko is going to fail and be killed or imprisoned. Damn, does she have issues, though! On the flip side of that, I hate how Zuko is treating Iroh. He's locked up and it was Zuko's decisions that caused him to be in that position and then Zuko basically pins the blame on him???? It isn't fair and I feel so bad for Iroh. He thought of Zuko as a son, he loved and accepted Zuko unconditionally. Ugh.

Agreed, though! Toph and Katara's arguments are so adorable and they're able to work together in the end. I can see it being a fully functional and healthy relationship, tbh. And honestly, I don't ship anyone with Azula. She's the kind of character that deserves to be alone (also, I'm not a huge fan of Ty Lee either). But, if it were Azula/Ty Lee in an AU where Azula wasn't such a complete manipulative ass, I'd probably ship it. They would look cute together, but I can see the dynamics, in canon, being super abusive. It's so easy for Azula to manipulate/walk all over Ty Lee.

Honestly, I shipped Smeller Bee and Li (unless they were siblings, which I don't think they were???) and then I shipped Jet with Katara. I think if Jet really would have changed for the better and officially joined the Avatar, he and Katara would have been a beautiful couple. I almost feel like they killed him off just so her attention would officially turn to Aang, which is silly imo.

Exactly! And to thing Aang went through all that trouble so he could get Toph to teach him earth bending but he suddenly dropped all thoughts of her and the others just to focus on saving Katara in that one moment. It kinda makes me want to rewrite the Avatar series where Aang isn't so immature (I can understand his immaturity and actions to an extent but it pissed me off to no end that they made him brush off Sokka and Toph so easily).

I agree. It does rush in and it does move kind of fast, but I think that the writer's were on a deadline to wrap up the whole story so they could work on The Legend of Korra or other projects they might wanted to work on, which is why some of the sub-story plots briefly mentioned and explored in the first and second seasons get ignored or brushed aside in this season. Like Whether Jet actually died (It's actually left to the fans' speculations whehter he did or not) and the whole thing about Zuko's mom wasn't completely clear and it was sort of dropped or barely touched again in the final season. So in some ways, it's understandable that it seemed rushed but on the other hand, it isn't understandable because the creators themselves said they had so much planned for a fourth book/season but they couldn't add it all in due to time constraints or something.

Yeah, Toph and Katara would definitely make a cute couple and the two of them arguing would be so therapeutic, especially since if they got into a water/earth bending fight they wouldn't hurt each other because they would miss hitting each other on purpose and they are both considered to be master benders of their respective elements. One part of me also wanted Zuko and Katara to get together too because the two of them had some good chemistry, and Mai and Zuko doesn't make much sense to me. xD

When does Azula not have anything planned? She's always a conniving little bitch and she always have to be in control. Some part of me makes me think Ozai abused her mind so much that she became twisted and broken as he is.

I hated Zuko for treating Iroh like that too but at the same time, I feel for Zuko because you gotta think for the longest time his dad tortured him emotionally about loving him again if he found the avatar. Right now, this season is about Zuko figuring himself out and coming to the hill that is the high-point of his destiny and making his decision to end the war or prolong it.

Nope, they weren't siblings. They may have thought of each other as such but I do agree, they would've made an amazing pairing as well.Yeah, I think Jet and Katara would've been an amazing coupe as well because they looked cute together and I think some part of Katara really loved him.

You should! I mean, as you said, it's understandable why he acts the way he does. He's, what, eleven/twelve? Plus, he was frozen for 100 years, so it definitely makes sense that he's immature. Not only that, but I think Katara is his first love. She's the first person he's ever seen in a romantic sense, and I understand how that could cloud one's judgement, but to just forget about your other loved ones? Idk, it really bothered me.

I was looking at the Wikia page about Jet and it said he did die? I'd like to think that he might still be alive, it gives me comfort, especially if he goes off to lead a better life than before. The fact that Zuko's mom isn't even touched on pisses me off, though. That's such a major plot point and I'm sure Zuko would want to know as well. Like, he loved his mother; she played a really significant part of his life and the fact that it's never even talked about again just, gr, makes me angry.

I would've been okay with Zuko and Katara, provided the two of them worked out their shit and really got to know one another. And yeah, what the hell was up with that sudden relationship between Zuko and Mai? Like, one second they hadn't spoken at all in canon and the next they're kissing on a picnic blanket??? That confused the hell out of me. There's a part of me that thinks it's sweet, especially seeing both of the angry babies smiling, but at the same time ??? where ??? did ??? it ??? come ??? from?????

Abuse definitely would play a part in why Azula is the way she is. Unless she's simply inherently evil, but it also depends on what individual people think makes someone evil. That's a can of worms I don't really want to open rn, lolol. Maybe it's also the fact that her mother favored Zuko over her? It was pretty clear in one of the flashback scenes. In all honesty, though, I can't wait to see Azula get her ass handed to her- if that even happens.

Yeah, I definitely feel for Zuko, but Iroh doesn't deserve the treatment he's getting either. The man is so full of love and compassion. I like him even more because, in his past, he was an absolute ruthless monster. Iroh is proof people can change if they're put into certain circumstances. Zuko lets the wrong people manipulate him and, because of it, makes the wrong decisions. Right now, it seems he's prolonging it. But seeing him happy toward the end of book two when Iroh opened the shop and Zuko let Appa go... fff, idk. It was so nice seeing him like that? I can't wait to see him stand up for himself and really make the right decisions as the series comes to a close. Depending on how the creator's go about it, I'll be so proud of the development of his character.

I definitely think Katara could've came to love Jet. You could see the chemistry between the two of them when they met and then you could see her pain when she saw him lying on the floor dying. If you do decide to write the series, I look forward to seeing what you do on that aspect (wink wink).

I have not watched the full series, but yes, I've seen some of it. It was pretty good. I don't actually remember why I stopped watching it, tbh. :c

Maybe 3 years ago? 2-3 at least. I've not watched as much anime the last couple years, so I know it hasn't been recently.

I'm going to check out so many books from the library. I've been majorly slacking on my novel reading, so hopefully that'll break the small block I've got!
