Four had resolved that even if Abigail didn't manage to succeed in training, that he would pull strings wherever he needed to. Even if it meant signing up to be a leader of Dauntless to get his sister to survive in their faction. If she was nothing more than a cook in the kitchen, at least it would be better than living on the streets as a factionless member. Four had no desire to see his sister in rags and he had no desire to wonder if she was even still alive or not. Four knew first hand what the world had in store for the factionless and the only person he wanted to see in that position would never be. His father was a leader of Abnegation, there was no hope of seeing such a thing. Unless the man's transgressions came to light and Four wasn't about to be the one to do that.

"I think the list will sort out a lot of the fake initiates," Four muttered under his breath, still eyeing the initiates as they tried to relax. He let out a sigh, his eyes lingering on the blonde and brunette before he turned around to face Eric. He didn't want to fully give himself away - so long as Eric thought that being David's brother was the only reason Four was interested in Grace, that was good to him. At least until training was complete and Grace was an official member. "Make them mess up when they really need to because they're too focused on their score." As far as Four was concerned, if you focused on your work and tried your hardest, you were far more likely to succeed compared to if you should focus only on what your ranking was.
Abby hadn't known her brother for nearly two years, the two of them had both changed so much in those two years that she had started to wonder if there was even any sort of hope that she would get to know Four again. Or if he would be just another Dauntless member to her because he was so standoffish. He had more or less refused to acknowledge her existence so far. But she still knew him well enough to notice the way Four's attention lingered on Grace a little too long and how he helped her more than he helped anyone else. "When we graduate and he asks you out, don't be surprised when I tell you that I told you so," Abby teased with a wink, turning her back to where Four and Eric were so that she didn't keep looking over at them.

When Grace mentioned how hot Four was, Abby couldn't help the way her nose scrunched. She hated the idea of describing her brother as hot but she also didn't really want to get into the whole thing with Grace because there was no way for her to properly explain Four and her's relationship. So she settled with shaking her head and scoffing. "No way, Eric is," she spoke, forcing a tiny grin to her lips. Clearing her throat, Abby glanced toward the men finally. "Alright. Maybe we should stop talking about them entirely. Focus on us for now and maybe focus on them after?"

Eric knew the scoring system could bring out the worst in people, knowing if you were below the passing mark and also knowing who you had to do better than to be safe. It became more of a game to some initiates, and it easily brought our jealously in other initiates. Although Eric didn’t completely agree with the scoring system being public knowledge, there wasn’t anything that he could do to change anything. But if the initiates just worked their hardest, the ones who should be in Dauntless will be. “Alright, break is over. I will number you all, form that group over by the mats.” Eric announced loudly to capture the attention of the initiates, they had a long enough break and it was now time for them to work for their spot in the faction.

Walking over to the group, he rattled off numbers as he looked at each kid. Once he was finished they split off into the groups and moved over to the mats, “Again you will take turns to fight each other. Once you have lost, sit on the bench. We’ll see who wins in each team,” He explained to the group as it will be interesting who has win in each of the groups, he didn’t pick anyone to be in a certain group. All the groups had a mixture of initiates in it, some were better at fighting and some were better at climbing the wall or shooting a gun.
Grace rolled her eyes, there was no way Four would ever ask her out but if Abby wanted to think he would then Grace wouldn’t stop her. “Yes, let’s focus on getting a place in Dauntless and not who’s the hotter trainer.” She smiled at her friend before Eric’s voice sounded through the room, she watched as he number each of them and once he had finished she moved away from Abigail as her group formed. When Eric had finished talking, Grace again stepped forward so she could go first against someone. Might as well get it over and done with, another girl in her group stepped up. She was a similar size as what Grace was, so they were pretty evenly matched as they started to fight against each other.

This time Grace decided to let the other girl lead, she dodged and blocked as many hits as she could. She’d only attack when there was an opening, which is how Grace managed to tackle the girl to the mat and place her knee on the girl’s throat. Which caused the girl to tap out, leaving Grace the winner of that match. She stood up as she caught her breath and stood back, so she could watch the rest of the group fight.

Abigail stood back as the first few fights began in her group. She was still completely unnerved by the idea of having to hurt someone else. She knew all too well what it would feel like to be hit or kicked. It wasn't often that she was hurt with her father's hands - his belt was a much more popular weapon but that still didn't change the fact that Abigail had suffered under his hands and feet before. Clearing her throat when the current fight ended, Abigail took a deep breathe and headed forward. She slipped off her shoes, stepping onto the mat as a boy followed suit. He was just a bit bigger than Abigail but nothing that would have been a real issue for anyone.

Looking down to her feet, Abigail took a final deep breathe before she looked up, balling her fists as she raised her arms. She focused on the initiate in front of her, dodging his kicks and punches fairly easily. She had enough experience dodging that it really was nothing to it for her. The boy seemed to be growing frustrated and it took Abby a moment but she realized that he was getting sloppier. When the boy swung too far and unbalanced himself, Abby lunged forward, tackling him to the ground. She pinned him to the ground, a fist raised in his fast before Eric called the fight. Backing off of the other initiate, she offered her hand to help him up before moving off of the mat so the rest of the fights could finish.
Four watched each and every fight, making mental notes of things to pick out and better explain to each initiate. They all had things that they needed to improve on, that was to be expected when they were just beginning, but damn if he wasn't pleasantly surprised when Grace won her fight. He could honestly say that he didn't expect to see that coming. When Grace turned, Four's lips quirked upward as he gave a nod in her direction. Turning his attention back toward the group in front of him, he let out a sigh of relief when she stepped off of the mat. She was done for the day, at least. When all of the initiates had finished with their fights, Four dismissed them before heading over to Eric with a triumphant smirk.

"Are we doing a school yard pick this year?" Four asked, tilting his head to the side as he watched the initiates slowly filter out of the room. Admittedly, his eyes lingered on Grace for a moment too long before he turned away entirely. "A beer says that I'll beat you. And bragging right for the rest of forever basically." Four couldn't help but grin, letting out a laugh as he shook hsi head. "Only a matter of time, darling. Until my team beats yours."

Eric watched each group in complete silence, he worked better that way as he could actually think and take in all the mistakes that the initiates were making. Of course he hadn’t expected any of them to be perfect and to learn everything within a few hours, this time he stayed where he stood and simply just watched. Abigail had fought hard, she had taken a step back and was observing her opponent. She only acted when he was distracted, she was smart and that could be deadly for any opponent she had to face.

She won and helped the guy up from the mat, another trait that Eric admired in her. He still couldn’t see any of Four in her, which was a very good thing. Once the groups had finished, he glanced over to his friend and scoffed loudly. “Are you forgetting last year? I kicked your ass and stole your teams flag, that’s exactly what will happen this year.” He grinned before nodding his head, “School yard pick is the easiest.” He shrugged his shoulders lightly as he tried not to watch Abigail as she left the training room, he had to stop paying her so much attention before other people notice. “Get ready to owe me a beer, mate.” He chuckled softly as he’d need to find the perfect spot to place his teams flag this year.
Grace stood there watching everyone in her group take a turn, once all the groups had finished as walked over to Abigail. “Quick, let’s go before those two change their minds and have us climb the wall again.” She smiled to her friend as they headed for the door, “I really hope we have some time to rest tomorrow. I don’t think I have enough energy to eat, let alone train again.” Her body was sore with every movement that she made, her muscles still needed time to get used to what she was doing. Just walking was becoming a struggle for her, not that she let it show as she didn’t want to show any weakness to the other initiates.

“They probably find this funny,” She wondered if Four pushed them this hard because he enjoyed watching them struggle, he probably didn’t but Grace didn’t know. “What should we do now?” Grace asked Abigail, she wasn’t overly hungry and she wouldn’t be able to continue walking for much longer before she started to hobble about. And that wouldn’t look good for her.

(I think I'm going to skip ahead to the war games. If that's not okay, let me know and I can definitely change it!)

Abigail couldn't even begin to describe just how nervous she was about the whole ordeal that she was about to go through. As far as she was concerned, that was exactly what the war games were. She doubted that she would do that horribly but at the same time, with the chance of failing, Abigail was ready to curl into a ball and disappear. She didn't want to fail out of Dauntless and there was no way in hell that she was going to let that happen, if she had anything to say about it. Plus, she finally had a friend in Grace and she didn't want to lose that relationship either. And maybe, just maybe, once she was permanently in Dauntless, she mayy get some sort of relationship back with her brother.

Holding the gun firmly to her chest like it depended on it, in a lot of ways it did, Abigail listened intently to the instructions as Eric gave them. She didn't want to be the one to run for the flag because she didn't want to be the one to fail her team but when Eric asked, Abigail simply took a deep breathe and stepped forward. She was smaller and she knew that she would be able to sneak around in the dark a lot better than some of her teammates simply because she was used to tiptoeing around her father.

When the game began, Abigail reached down, turning off the light that hung around her neck. She straightened, willing herself to relax and focus rather than be tense and too afraid to take an opportunity that presented itself.
Four had no intention of losing this year. Last year had just been a fluke to him, there was no way that Eric could beat him two years in a row. There just wasn't. He was a little more tense than usual, his shoulders pulled together as his knuckles whitened around the gun in his hands. He stood, talking just loud enough that his team would be able to hear him but anyone that had been sent to spy wouldn't be able to - if anyone had. Unless they could see well enough to read his lips.

Pointing out the members he'd selected to defend their flag, Four turned and selected a few others to stay in strategic points throughout their side of the city - the most likely places Eric's team would try to get through. Clearing his throat, Four's eyes drifted to meet Grace's. "If you're up for the challenge, follow me." And with that, Four turned, beginning to lead the way into enemy territory. He was hopeful that Grace would follow him and the few others he had assigned to make an assault on the other team. Grace had continued to prove herself, he hoped she would only continue to tonight.

Eric had noticed the look of uncertainty that crossed Abigail’s features when she realised that she wasn’t on the team with her blonde friend, it almost made him tell her that she could go be on Four’s team just so she’d have her friend. But he stopped himself because she needed to know that her friend may not always be around, Abigail would have to do things on her own and being in the war games was one of those things. He grinned to himself slightly when she stepped forward, volunteering herself to be the one who would capture the other team’s flag.

Eric had been hoping she would as she was small, meaning she’d be able to move around the abandoned fair grounds faster and easier. As his team started to spread out, he looked over to her. “You don’t have to be nervous, someone is going to lose so you don’t have to feel bad if it’s us. It might surprise you but I haven’t always been on the winning team,” He grinned as he looked at the brunette, he hoped his words reassured her that it would be okay if they didn’t win. “Just enjoy yourself,” It was easier said than done, Eric knew that but he wanted Abigail to loosen up a little more. So he decided that he would stick by her and protect her from the other team, just until she was closer to the flag.
Grace listened to Four’s plan as the group huddled together, her hands gripped onto her gun tightly. It felt strange not to have Abby standing beside her, but she had a feeling that Eric was going to pick Abigail to be on his team so Grace wasn’t too upset over it. Her heart was already beating slightly faster in her chest and the game had only just started, her eyes locked with Four’s as he decided to have her go with him to take out as many of the enemy that they could. She nodded her head before she followed behind him, she prayed that she would do a good job and wouldn’t fail the team or make a fool out of herself.

She moved quietly across the city and hid herself behind an old crate, she stayed silent as she focused on the sounds around her. Her finger moved to the trigger of the gun when she heard the faintest of footsteps, finding Four’s eyes she motioned to where the noise was coming from. She held her breath as the group waited for a few seconds, before they started their assault on the other team. Grace shot darts into everyone she saw, barely missing a few darts that were aimed at her. She ran for a new hiding place which is when she saw someone aiming for Four, he hadn’t seen the guy yet so Grace shot him before he could shoot Four.

"Yeah but Four's a self cen-" Abigail started to go on a rant about her brother without even realizing it. All of her thoughts and emotions were bubbled up inside of her over the past few days, since she had been placed into Dauntless. Since she had first laid her eyes on the brother she was almost positive that she had lost years ago. But when she realized what she was about to say about one of her instructions (she wasn't aware Four had told Eric anything), Abigail fell deadly silent. Her eyes slowly widened as colour began to drain from her features. "I...uh, sorry. Never mind," she rushed the words out, forcing an uneasy smile in Eric's direction before turning to head in the general direction they needed to head in.

Abigail cleared her throat as she straightened up, her eyes scanning the area as they crept along in the shadows. She was careful to walk heel to toe, bent at the knees. If she had learned any one thing growing up, it was about how to tread quietly enough to go undetected for the most part.

Moving through the streets proved to be a lot easier than Abigail had been expecting with Eric at her side. She had to shoot a few people but thought nothing of it, she hadn't felt any darts yet so she didn't think they were nearly as painful as they would prove to be.
If Four had been completely honest, he would say that he hadn't expected for Grace to do nearly as well as she was doing in the war games. The ones that did well during the initial training didn't always do well during scenarios and this was their first real scenario to go through. But Grace only continued to prove him wrong, time and time again. She could fend for herself, just like her brother could. Four's heart swelled with a pride that he hadn't really been expecting at the thought of Grace being so confident. Shaking his head at the thought, Four focused his attention on driving them forward. But the people they were coming across started to thin out and that had a sliver of fear running down his spine.

Suddenly, Four whirled around to face Grace, only to freeze when he noticed that she had shot someone who he hadn't even noticed. He gave her the slightest hint of a smile as he motioned with his chin back in the direction that they had come from. His voice was barely a whisper - barely loud enough for Grace to hear him. "I think they may have wrapped around us," he muttered, keeping his eyes trained on the downed initiates. "You keep going for the flag, I'm going to scount out what's going on near our flag. Got it?"

Eric chuckled softly as he glanced over at Abigail, “I know Four’s a self-centered dick.” He grinned as they continued to move along with the shadows covering them, he shot whoever he needed to on his way and he was glad that Abigail seemed to keep up with him easily enough. It wasn’t until they reached open ground that he stopped and looked at her, “Go for the flag. Stay quiet and use the shadows as much as you can, I’ll shoot whoever is near you.” He whispered his plan to her, the other teams flag was tied to a light lamp that was tilted to one side.

So for Abigail to safely get the flag, she’d need to use the building behind the light lamp. Eric stayed in the shadows and watched everyone, shooting people with his darts to make sure that Abigail wasn’t targeted. He hadn’t seen Four since the two teams split off to hide their flags, he was curious as to where his friend was.
Grace nodded slightly at Four’s order, holding her gun close to her chest she finally saw where the flag was. On the roof of an old falling down building, inhaling deeply Grace made a run for it but used the back door to get inside. She slowed down so she could carefully step on the wooden floor that wasn’t rotting away, she shot a few other people who were inside the building before she made it up onto the roof. She scanned the roof top as she knew someone would be there to keep the flag safe, she groaned when a body came from nowhere and tackled her to the ground.

The air in her lungs were knocked out when she landed, so she was gasping for air while also trying to fight off the male initiate. Using her arms she protected her head from any punches that he threw at her, she brought her knee up hard into his groin and then crawled over to where she had dropped her gun. Her heart was racing in her chest as she was so close to having her team win the game, she managed to grab her gun and shoot the guy’s shoulder before he could shoot her. She raced over to the flag and grabbed it, before anyone else found her there.

(I am so, so sorry!! Moving was way more hectic than I thought it was and then we didn't get internet set up until a week later, a few days ago and just. Jesus Facepalm Life has settled down though ! )

Four slinked off, using the shadows as concealment. Just as he had thought, the initiates weren't quite as aware of their surroundings as they should have been. It was something that he took note of - while you could heavily rely on your sight to figure out what was going on around you, it was also important to make sure that you used your other senses. With a shake of his head, Four turned away and closed the distance between himself and his team's flag. There was no way in hell that he was going to start losing to Eric this time around. Nope. No way. When he heard the sound of the door to the building that held their flag shut, Four went into over drive. He knew that whoever was making their way up the stairs would reach the top before Four had the chance to.

Jumping onto the top of a dumpster, Four pushed himself to his feet and scaled the wall of the building he stood beside. He settled onto his stomach, his eyes trained on his team's flag. His breathe caught and he steadied himself, exhaling as he pulled the trigger.
Abigail was so close. She could practically taste the victory she was about to secure for her team, for Eric. She pushed open the door to the roof, her gun held tightly. There were two guarding the flag and Abigail said a silent prayer - hoping that the two would forgive her. While she hadn't been shot, Eric's demonstration earlier was enough for her to realize that being shot had to be incredibly painful. Shoving the door open, Abigail didn't bother to try and stop it as it slammd against the wall behind it. Rushing toward the flag, Abby reached out, only to yelp and stumble, falling to her knees. She looked down, a frown forming on her lips as she caught sight of the dart sticking out of her lower stomach.

She heard a bunch of shouting from the other side of the game's perimeter and her heart sank as she saw her team's flag being waved. She knew that it must mean that Four's team had just captured their flag and she hadn't been successful. She had failed. Just like she had known she would, deep down. Yanking the dart of her body, Abigail took a few deep breathes before she stood to follow after the members of Four's team that she had shot down.

Eric rolled his eyes when he heard the cheering, his team had lost and although he wasn’t upset about it. His ego did take a hit, walking towards the cheering he caught sight of Abigail exiting a building and he guessed that she had made a run for the other team’s flag but hadn’t made it in time. He moved over to her and draped his arm over her shoulders, “There’s always next year. We’ll kick their ass then,” He could see how disappointed she was in herself, he didn’t want that because she hadn’t failed their team. She was still standing, she had still found the flag and by the looks of it she had gone through a few guys twice her size.

“You did better than me on my first game, I thought I was the best one on the team so I tried to do everything myself. I lasted five minutes before I was shot, I had tripped over and knocked metal pipes over.” He grinned at how stupid he had been when he was younger, but he just wanted to impress everyone and prove to the leaders that he was good enough to be there. “Let’s go home and have some fun at the party,” He smiled at Abigail in hopes he might cheer her up, he also wanted to make sure she did enjoy the party as she deserved to.
Grace had waved the flag in the air, before the cheers erupted from her team. She made her way down now that the game had finished, she was being congratulated by her team even though it was a group effort. She just smiled when they did, she looked around for Abigail but what she saw made her smile. Eric had his arm around her as they walked, Grace didn’t want to ruin the moment they were having so she followed everyone back as they walked back to the compound. She was on a high from helping her team win, it felt really nice to do something good and to have the team win.

Once back at the compound, Grace pulled her jacket off and left it in the dorm before making her way to the party. Her eyes wandered as she took it all in, she felt a little out of place as she had never been to a party like this. People were talking and laughing, there were even people drinking alcohol which she has never done before. She couldn’t find Abigail so Grace stepped off to the side, she wasn’t sure what she should do. She should go around and talk to people she didn’t know, but this party was making her uncomfortable as it was completely outside her comfort zone.

Abigail's jaw had been set as she exited the building. She wanted nothing more than to disappear at the moment so she thought it was best to continue forward. Her fingers tightened around the weapon in her hands, her eyes focused forward. She wasn't paying attention to her surroundings so when Eric's arm wrapped around her shoulders, she flinched, her eyes widening as she turned toward the source. For a split moment, all that you could see was the fear that had filled the pit of her stomach. It took her a moment longer before she began to relax, when she realized that it was Eric. And more importantly, Eric wasn't going to hurt her. She hoped. She had tried, all of the ways she had tried slipped right to the tip of her tongue and quickly, she opened her mouth to speak.

Confusion etched across her features as Eric spoke. That reaction had been the complete opposite of what she had been expecting. But she felt silly because she had gotten to know Eric, she knew that wasn't like him. Or at least she hoped he wasn't. Abigail hadn't meant to laugh, she didn't even know where it came from, but with Eric's admission about his first year, she started shaking with small giggles. They grew until she erupted in full laughter, a smile growing on her face. "How did you even manage that one?! Hadn't your mentor taught you to be careful?" Abby winced as she realized how that had to have sounded. "I'm sorry... I didn't mean that. Like that." Abby sighed, realizing how silly she had to sound as her shoulders sagged.
Four didn't think twice about who he had prevented from grabbing his team's flag because moment's later, cheers erupted from his team. A grin broke out on his face as he started heading back in the direction of the clearing where they were all to meet back up at. Four was silent as they made their way back down to the Dauntless compound. He hadn't really broken out in a sweat but he still headed down to his room so that he could freshen up before heading to the party. It wasn't that he really wanted to but it was practically guaranteed that he would get the chance to rub it in Eric's face that he had lost and that was something he wanted to do.

Stepping into the party, Four looked around slowly. He spotted the back of Eric's head and started to head toward his friend, only to slow to halt when he noticed Grace in the corner. A frown formed on his lips as he headed toward her. Four shoved his hands into his pockets as he stood in front of Grace, racing an eyebrow as he looked around slowly. "This is your party, why aren't you enjoying it?"

Eric had felt Abigail’s body flinch when he appeared beside her and had draped his arm across her shoulders, he had seen the fear in her pretty eyes which she normally could hide. He wanted to apologize for scaring for, but at the same time he also didn’t want to let slip that he knew who she was and what her father had done to her after her brother had been placed into Dauntless. So for now he would pretend like he didn’t notice, which wasn’t like him at all because he often said what was on his mind or voice his opinion. But he did feel better once Abigail begun to laugh at what he had told her, “You need to learn that you don’t always have to apologize for what you say, Dauntless don’t ever really apologize to anyone or about anything.” He wasn’t telling her what to do, but he did want her to know that she didn’t have to say sorry for what she says.

“And he had taught me to be careful, but I thought I knew everything and had such a big ego that I thought I could win the game for my team.” Eric explained as they continued walking, “We’ll have other opportunities to show off your skills,” He grinned as he looked at the brunette, his arm still resting gently across her shoulders as he didn’t really feel like removing his arm. They walked for a few more minutes before the compound came into view, which is when he finally dropped his arm but he still stayed close to her. “Go get ready, I want to see you at the party and you better enjoy yourself.” He told her as he sent her a wink, before he turned to head in the direction of his room which was on the other side of the compound from the dorms. Making it to his room he quickly changed clothes and freshened himself up, before he attended the party.
Grace’s heart begun to race when her eyes found Four was heading in her direction, there wasn’t anyone else around her so he had to be coming over for her. He looked incredible, he looked so good that her stomach twisted into knots although that usually happened when Four was near her. “It’s not my party,” All she had done was grab the other teams flag, and that was only because the chance was open and she was there. The rest of her team did the actual hard work in keeping her from getting shot, so she could get to the flag. “Abby’s not here yet, and I don’t know if anyone else likes me enough to let me hang out with them.” Grace told him completely honestly, she hadn’t made any other friends apart from Abigail and she hadn’t arrived yet.

Sure she spoke to a few others in the group, but it wasn’t enough for Grace to feel comfortable in going up to them and starting a conversation. So for now she would stay back and wait for Abby, “I’m fine really. You can go back to your friends,” She told him as she didn’t want him thinking he had to be there with her, he really didn’t. He was her instructor, that’s all he was and probably all he’d ever be to her. Grace needed to realise that before she made a fool out of herself.

Twitch I THOUGHT I REPLIED TO THIS CAUSE I KNEW I REPLIED TO THE OTHER ONE?? fuck. i'm sorry

It was hard for Abigail to understand why Eric was telling her not to apologize. She had brought up to be seen and not heard, not to offend, and certainly not to place herself in a position where it was even possible. She had poked fun at Eric and now he was telling her it was fine? Her brows pulled together as she tried to sort out what was going on but she couldn't bring herself to speak, she didn't want to question him any more than she already had. When they reached the compound, she was all too eager to detach from Eric and to run off to her room. She didn't want to go down to the party, she had made a complete fool of herself during the war games. She didn't want to show her face when she was sure that the rest of her team members had to blame her for not winning, she had only been a few feet from the flag after all.

Deciding that she had to if for no other reason than to be there with Grace, Abigail took a quick shower and changed before heading down to the party. She started to step through the doors, already looking around for her friend when she spotted the young woman standing with Four. She took a small step forward before giving a shake of her head. Grace liked Four, even if Abigail didn't like it, she wasn't going to try and stop it. The only thing that she could hope for was that Four didn't hurt Grace, she had no real clue what made her brother up anymore. She didn't know if he would end up hurting Grace or not, she could only hope that he wouldn't.

Abigail turned, letting her feet guide the way. She wasn't the tiniest bit surprised when she found herself standing in front of the wall that she had climbed on her second day. She looked up, stepping back to watch the top of it for a moment. A few moments passed before she shrugged, stepping forward to begin climbing the wall. She had no clue how far she would get but it was the only hope she thought she had of getting her frustrations out without bothering the rest of her faction.
Four scoffed, shaking his head as he fixed Grace with a hard look. It was a bit of a glare but he hoped that she didn't take it too personally, he had only been teasing her. "But you're the one that brought us to victory. So in part, it is your party. You have every right to be here, to enjoy yourself, and-" Four paused as he made eye contact with his little sister. They maintained it for only a second or so before Four returned his attention to Grace as Abigail retreated back where she came. He cleared his throat, glancing in the direction of the bar.

"Come on. Let's get the mvp a drink?" Four teased, raising an eyebrow as he set a hand on Grace's lower back. He began to guide her toward the bar for a drink. "Whatever you want is on me tonight. I think you earned that. Star pupil and all," Four joked, winking as they reached the bar. He leaned against the bar, ordering his drink once the bar tender stepped over to them. He turned toward Grace, smiling a bit. "Go on. Get whatever you want tonight."

Eric had showered in his room before he changed clothes and headed down to the party, hoping that Abigail would also show up. If anyone gave her a hard time about the team losing, then they would have to deal with him and he would kick anyone out of Dauntless without a second thought. Walking over to the bar he ordered himself a beer, then moved over to a group of his mates who were busy chatting. He joined in but his eyes constantly scanned the room for Abigail, for about ten minutes he didn’t see her and thought she might have skipped the party because she blamed herself for the team losing. But then his light eyes landed on her, she was staring up at the climbing wall and he could tell by her body that she was considering climbing it.

Leaving his friends behind he walked over to where Abigail was still standing, however she had moved closer to the wall now. “Climbing the wall without any supervision? You do know that could get us into trouble, right?” He looked at her as he didn’t want to stop her from climbing, but if she did and fell off then the leaders would come down on everyone hard. “You don’t have to prove anything, Abigail. Blaming yourself isn’t what you should be doing either, you had a full team behind you tonight. And yet you were the only one near the flag, the team should have had your back so technically the whole team is to blame.” That is how he saw it, no one was helping Abigail get to the flag to win the game so if the team wanted someone to blame then it should be themselves.
Four was partly right, she was allowed to be there and to enjoy herself. Not only had she won the game for her team but she has done nothing but work hard to stay in Dauntless, she did deserve to enjoy the party. “Fine, but stop calling me mvp. People will hear,” Grace looked up at him as that was the last thing she wanted, was for another initiate to overhear and become jealous of how well she was doing or by the attention that Four tended to give her. But then she felt his hand on her lower back and suddenly butterflies erupted in her stomach, her heart beat increased in speed as she let him guide her over to the bar. Where she had no idea what to order, she’s never been allowed to drink alcohol so she had no idea what she would even like. But she didn’t want to seem that naive in front of Four, she wanted to impress him.

So she just ordered whatever Four did, she watched the bartender pour the amber liquid into two glasses before sliding them across the bar. Grace took a glass into her hand and lifted it to her lips, she took a drink of the beer and tried her hardest not to pull a face at how it tasted. She certainly wouldn’t be drinking beer again, she cleared her throat as she looked at Four. “That’s nice,” She commented even though it was a complete lie, next time she’ll order a water or something that she knew she’d like. “So does this happen often?” She asked after she had glanced around the room, everyone there seemed to be having a good time. She spotted Abigail and Eric standing at the wall talking, she wanted to go see her friend but she didn’t want to interrupt her having some time alone with the guy she liked.
