Sophia often fought the urge to step out of her comfort zone. She often recalled the first time skipping high school or the first time she hid at the local park with upperclassmen boys, choking on weed smoke. Her first kiss was at a party, drunk after three beers. All of that ended quickly, but that was years ago anyways. Her father made sure that she was polite, well-educated with a modest style of fashion. When she transferred to a private school her last two years of high school, she looked like every other girl being groomed to be a perfect example of high society. Sophia hated it. Sophia was the only girl her parents had; she has two older brothers both entrepreneurs. They offered Sophia advice whenever they could, understanding what is is like growing up in politics. But they no longer live at home and are starting families of their own. Besides they are boys and boys will be boys while girls will be ladies.
After her last class of the day, Sophia went back to her apartment and changed into her work out gear, saying goodbye to her cat as she ran out the door. With her headphones in she started to run her normal route. Some days she only ran a few miles. Other days she was sure she could run forever. Running until she was able to do whatever she wanted and not be a 22 year old still under the watchful eye from her parents and on occasion media. Sophia hardly noticed the change in scenery. She was just running. It was one of those days. She looked down and took a deep breath and before she could exhale, she was on the ground, mouth open in surprised pain. As she took the hand in front of her, Sophia wiped her hands on her shorts and looked up at the man. She took a step back. "Snatch me?" She said, looking confused as she looked around. "Oh. I, uh, I'm going for a run." Sophia took another step back and squinted her eyes up at the man. She was scared. She had no idea where she was, but she knew that this wasn't a place for her. She wasn't going to let him see that though. "What are you doing around here?"

They were the Blood Brothers. The only family Ethan has known since they started the band in middle school. He was the singer, the good looking one as he would say. This was his life, his dream, and his one true love. And they were finally getting a deal. All the blood and sweat was finally paying off. He couldn't be happier than that one time in Mexico during spring break where he woke up with three girls in his bed. Tonight they were playing at a local gig, doing a favor for their friend who is also the owner. It's good networking Nick would say, their drummer. Before they stepped on stage, Ethan and his band mates did their good luck shots, prayed to the rock gods, and with a cigarette in hand, Ethan walked out and flashed a stupid grin as their first song started.
Sooner than he would've liked, they were playing the last song. Ethan was dripping in sweat as he sang his heart out, hanging onto the guitarist, Charlie, as they finished the last verse. Ethan bowed and winked at a couple girls that were close to the stage. They were begging for it, for him. Ethan loved that feeling. As they walked off stage, Ethan pushed his way to the bar and grabbed a couple beers before going backstage to change. Before he had a chance their manager (Charlie's sister) grabbed him and said to look decent because some kids wanted to meet him and the band. "Wear some fucking deodorant too," she told him as he walked away flipping her off. He changed his shirt quickly, leaving the long sleeved shirt unbuttoned. He didn't care about looking decent. He was a goddamn rock god, or was going to be. Nick came and got him, as the other band members were already at the groups table, standing around and shaking hands. "I hate meeting fans. They're always so touchy," Ethan said, lighting a cigarette as they walked out and to the table. Nick just rolled his eyes. "What about the chicks, man." Ethan laughed. "Well, that's different."
As they got closer to the table, Ethan's eyes widened a bit as he noticed the blonde sitting in the middle. He licked his lips as he took a drag. All he could wonder was how old she was and what her pretty hair and makeup looked like ruined after a night of partying.
