The light on her phone winked out of existence, and left her all alone in the dark, worried and quite lost. It had only just darkened, and the last time she saw was near nine in the evening. She had taken a little stroll in the park, but somewhere she misstepped and walked away from the main path, and now she was in the middle of what looked like nowhere.

Florence looked at the shiny object in her hand, shining only for the faint light of the quarter moon in the sky hiding behind clouds and trees. She huffed softly, shoving her hands into the pockets of her fur coat. Now what? She stood in her spot, shifting from one leg to the other, trying to keep warm. This was a bad idea, but Florence was surely the master of bad ideas. Have an argument with your sister, storm out of the car, into the park for a little stroll at night. Get lost.

She blew into the air, and imagined the small puff of warmth she would have seen if there were light. There was a sound from her right, and she turned her head, peering into the pitch of night. "Hello?" She called, and possibly not the wisest decision for should some creepy man sit in the dark and prey on girls she would certainly have told him of her location and her poor, lost state. Her little heels hit the pavement in small stomps, tights barely protecting her legs from the bitter bite of autumn. Not quite winter. Not quite. She was thankful, she would have frozen out here.

Suddenly, an idea came to her mind, and she patted her pockets, pulling out a small plastic candle toy. She was intending to give it to her younger sister, but seeing that she sort of needed something like it now, she decided her sister could wait. She pulled it out of its box and flicked it a few times, trying to get it to work. "Come on," she breathed, flicking the little thing. It was barely any bigger than her pinky.

The pathetic excuse of a candle soon blinked into life, and lit up… absolutely nothing. Florence waved it around, but could see no further than her glove. She closed her eyes. Now to just yell, abandon all dignity and hope that someone would be around and kind enough to help out. She opened her mouth and shouted at the shy moon, "Excuse me! Hello?"

Ivan lived alone in his log cabin, which also happened to be in the middle of a forest where no one lived anywhere near him. He knew he had royal blood but would much rather avoid t than deal with it, so living in the middle of nowhere helped a bit. He heard rustling and movement outside of his home, well not right outside, his superhuman hearing helped him pick it sounds for miles around. He then heard a distinct voice call out.

At this point Ivan decided to check it out. He didn't consider the voice a threat, but he didn't much like being bothered by people in his forest. Ivan got up from his bed, moving to the closet. He found simple pants, a shirt, and put on a deep purple robe. He stuffed his phone into his pocket and found one of his flashlights before moving out the door.

Ivan walked with his light at his feet, not wanting to spook the voice even more. He heard more yells which directed him further towards the girl. When he saw a silhouette, and an illuminated face he flashed his light up, calling out to her. "What are you doing this far out?" He asked, a deep Russian accent lacing his voice. "No one is out here but me." He commented and stayed a distance away but flashed his light towards her.

"It'll take a while to get you out of here. Do you want help out? Or need a place to stay?" He asked, raising an eyebrow at her. Ivan was surprised to have actually found someone out this far, this late at night. People rarely entered his forest unattended.

Florence was starting to lose hope, stumbling along the way she thought she had come but in this darkness she couldn't be sure. Something flew past and she gave a small squeak both of surprise and spook. It was then that she heard footsteps and turner to see a light. Someone was coming! With light!

She waited for him to come to her, for the voice identified a man, for she was quite stuck and surrounded by mud, and the closer the light came the more she saw her helpless little situation. She had walked right into the middle of some muddy puddle and now her boots were all dirty.

"I was walking in the park, and i must have strayed off," she explained, using the light as a way to get out of the muddy mess and stand on some more solid ground. "Is the way out far?" Her nose wrinkled and concern washed over her when he mentioned that it would take a while to get out. She was oh so very cold, that staying the night surely sounded quite good now. Florence studied the man, his face barely lit but somewhat memorisable. Could she trust him? Would he try anything? He seemed genuine, but so does Harry and everyone on the street knew Harry was a true hooligan.

"How long will it take to get out? Is there a path I can use?" She looked around and added, "Therr aren't any wolves around here, are there?" She was genuinely concerned. The park seemed small enough but she never looked past the first few thick trees. And she never went venturing into deep forests so she had no idea where wolves did and did not live.

Ivan looked the girl up and down. She really was lost. He sighed and ran a hand down his face. "There's no path, and it's quite a bit out. But I'll definitely lead you out. You don't have any reason to trust me so coming back to my cabin, I wouldn't blame you for not accepting." He said. Ivan walked up to Florence and looked down at her. "There's amlot of small animals. I don't know about wolves." He said and shrugged.

Ivan knew she may not trust a man who could obviously over power her. But he was a gentleman, his royal family made sure of it, and he wouldn't try to harm her in any way if she trusted him.

Ivan looked around. The forest was dark and deep. No one suspected it to be. But no one really ventured into it. Which was why Ivan lived so far out. He began to walk alongside Florence.
