It was 5PM on a Friday. Everybody was getting off work, picking kids up from after school care, teenagers running rampant talking like adults. Bucky had already been here for two hours after his shift ended helping, stocking, and generally making it easier for the night shift to close. His boss kept poking her head out of her office, telling him to leave but he just ignored her. Not that she minded; Bukcy was the manager and a hard worker and the reason why her days went smoothly all week.
He had his back turned away from the customers as he worked on drinks for a group of girls. He hated teenagers. Well, hate was a strong word. They acted grown up like they had all the answers and listening to their pointless conversations (because they were loud and not shy apparently) annoyed Bukcy to no end. "Here you girls go," he announced, a grin on his face as he handed them their drinks. "Stay out of trouble."
Bucky sighed and wiped his hands on his apron. A coworker asked if he was finally thinking of leaving. Bukcy was seriously contemplating it but there was still so much to done, so much he could help with.
