Nick managed to get up and looked at Kaycee, "Kaycee i'm sorry." He said as he rubbed the back of his neck. He moved over to her. "Are you okay?" He asked. Nick felt bad that this happened.

Gabby sighed as she finished practice then went to her house to take a shower. She was planing to go over and hang out with Emily today. She got dressed before she went to Emily's house. She walked in, seeing that her parents weren't home. "People!" She called, smiling when Clay walked out of the bathroom in his towel. "Well hello there." She teased him. "Where's Emily?" She asked.

Kaycee felt her heart pang after she heard Ryan's words. She stared after him, her eyes watering, though she tried to blink the tears away. She gulped down the lump in her throat and swiped at her eyes. "I'm fine," she told Nick, her voice strained as she cleared her throat and looked away. "I'm just... I'm going home. You can tell Ryan to throw away whatever I've left at your home. I don't want anything that he's ever touched."

Clay's body was a little achy after practice and he'd had a long shower. When he got done and came out of the bathroom, a towel around his waist, though he arched a brow upon spotting Gabby. "Oh? You're looking for Emily?" he asked with an arched brow, "It's quite an awkward time to be coming to look for her. Are you sure your appearance wasn't planned?" he teased before he shrugged slightly. "Em should be in her room."

Nick frowned as she walked away then leaned against his locker. He didn't know what to say to her to make this better. He went to her house after school and knocked on the door. He was hoping that she would talk to him at least.

Gabby smiled, "We both know that i always look this good so don't make a big deal out of it." She said as she walked towards him. She smiled as she kissed his cheek, smacking his ass playfully before she went into Emily's room. "Whatcha doing Em?" She asked as she walked over to her friend.

Kaycee had cried herself to sleep when she'd gotten home, but she told herself when she woke due to the knocking at her door that she'd never cry that much again. She fixed her makeup, not wanting whoever was at the door to see how red and puffy her face had been. When she finished, she moved to open the door, though she was surprised to find Nick there.

Emily looked up from her phone when Gabby came into her room, though she offered a smile in response and shrugged slightly. "I'm just texting Jake," she answered before she stood from her bed and stretched out a bit. "I wanted to tell him that we worked everything out," she explained, though she arched an eyebrow, "Is something up?"

Nick smiled at her, "Hey. Can we talk?" He asked her as he put his hands in his pockets. He bit his bottom lip lightly, wanting to apologize for the trouble he caused. "I'm sorry that i caused all of this." He said as he rubbed the back of his neck.

Gabby shrugged, "Nothing, just bored." She said as she went through Emily's closet. She pulled a shirt off and smiled, "I like this one." She said, smiling. "So are you going to go out with Jake alone any time soon?" She asked her.

Kaycee blinked but nodded as she moved aside. "Yeah, um, come in," she murmured quietly in response, though she sighed to his later words. "It's not something to apologize for, Nick. We had sex together. Ryan cheated every chance he got, so... Really, it doesn't matter anymore."

Emily watched her friend idly, though she eventually shook her head slightly in response. "Um, I don't think so. We haven't talked about anything like that, especially since... Well, Clay's so protective, I think Jake may be a little intimidated," she joked with a small, amused smile.

Nick sighed, "Yea, but i should have never agreed to doing that with you." He said. "I'm his brother and it was wrong." He said as he sat down in the chair. He really felt like he had betrayed Ryan in some way. Even though deep down he knew Kaycee deserved better.

Gabby thought for a moment and looked at Emily, "I could always distract Clay one night and you could go out with Jake then?" She suggested. She knew Clay wouldn't say no to hanging out with her. "Plus your parents are going away this weekend anyway. Perfect timing. I will invite Clay to my place and you can have the house all to yourself." She said.

Kaycee stared at him, but frowned slightly. "Then, shouldn't you be apologizing to him?" she asked before she sighed and looked away from him. "Not that he'd accept the apology. I can't count how many times I've apologized already."

Emily blinked at the offer and shifted slightly. "Do you think that would really be okay?" she asked, though she wondered if her brother would catch on. If he did, he'd probably be upset, with her, Jake, and Gabby. "Are you sure it would work?"

Nick stared at her, "You are easy to talk to. He won't even look at me." He said, shaking his head. "You are better off without Ryan anyway Kaycee. You are took good for him. " He said as he stood up. "Don't be upset over this." He said as he ran his fingers through her hair.

Gabby smiled, "Oh Em it will work." She said. "I will go talk to Clay now. You just keep flirting with Jake." She said, laughing softly. Gabby walked out and went into Clay's room. "Hey there sexy." She teased him as she walked over and climbed onto his bed, laying down. she watched as he moved around the room. "Miss me?" She asked as she ran her fingers through her hair.

Kaycee watched him quietly, though she couldn't help but to lean into his touch, her eyes closing over as she sighed. "I'm not going to cry over him anymore," she murmured quietly in response. "He's always hurting me. I stopped crying over him cheating months ago. And I don't have to get hurt by him or let him make me cry anymore, so... I'll be fine. I won't be upset."

Clay arched a brow as he glanced over at her, having already gotten dressed while Gabby was busy with Emily. "Hey," he greeted as he put away a couple sets of clothes since his mother had cleaned his clothes before she left but hadn't put them away, so he had to. "Of course I've missed you. I didn't expect you to be done hanging out with Emily so soon, though."

Nick stared at her for a moment and then leaned in and kissed her softly. He couldn't help but want to kiss her. Nick pulled away, looking into her eyes. He kissed her again and placed his hands on her cheeks. He smiled as he stepped towards her some more.

Gabby smiled, "Well she's dirty talking with Jake and as much as i love sexual acts i don't want to be around when your sister does them." She teased him. She watched as his eyes narrowed, "Baby i'm kidding." She said as she sat up. She held her hands out, "Come here." She said.

Kaycee was mildly surprised by the feeling of his lips against hers. Part of her knew that she should pull away, but a bigger part of her wanted to enjoy it, so she did. When he kissed her the second time, she returned the kiss happily despite everything that had happened today.

Clay couldn't help it; he was close to going to Emily's room and taking her phone, possibly even breaking it. He stopped himself only when Gabby clarified she was kidding and he moved over to her when she asked him to. "Why would you kid about something like that?" he asked, "You'll make me want to kick his ass."

Nick ran moved his hands to her hips as he kissed her. He pulled away looking at her, "I can't help but want to be with you all the time." He said as he kissed her again. Nick kissed her again and then pulled her into a hug.

Gabby sighed, "Clay she's not a little kid. You think she is never going to date or something?" She asked. She placed her hands on his sides, "Besides, Jake is a really nice guy and you need to give him a chance." She said as she kissed his cheek.

Kaycee shifted, burying her face against him as she wrapped her arms around his neck to return his hug. "Even though you were just basically saying you were a bad brother to Ryan?" she asked quietly.

"She's my littler sister, Gabby," Clay reminded her with a small frown. "I don't care if Jake's a nice guy or not. I know what guys want and I don't want my sister getting hurt by him when he decides to go to somebody else."

Nick nodded, "Yea i know i'm an ass." He said, smirking. "He will have to get over it i guess." He said as he rubbed her back. He liked that she was willing to listen to him.

Gabby bit her bottom lip lightly, "Are you assuming that all guys want one thing from a woman and none of them should be trusted?" She asked. "Should i be trusting you? Or are you going to run to the next person soon?" She asked. "Because after all you couldn't possibly love me your a man who only wants sex." She said, letting him hear how dumb what he said sounded.

Kaycee laughed quietly and closed her eyes as she enjoyed the moment. "Nick... Why did you never have a girlfriend the entire time Ryan and I were together?" she asked quietly, admittedly curious. She couldn't recall him ever having a girlfriend, honestly, but she hadn't known him personally until the year before.

"That's different and you know it, Gabby," Clay said with a sigh as he looked over at her and ran his hand through his hair. "I've known you my whole life, pretty much. Jake's known Em for, what, a month? Maybe two? He'd hurt her a lot quicker than I would ever even dream of hitting you and you know that better than anybody."

Nick looked at her, "Well i liked you." He said. "Plus i knew eventually it had to end between you too and i was just going to try to be your friend until then." He said. Nick sighed as he ran his fingers through her hair and kissed her again.

Gabby sighed as she stood up, "Yes, but how is Em going to know if she wants to keep Jake around if you scare him off. What if he is the best guy for her, but she never knows because you made him leave. Besides, Emily just wants to go on dates. She isn't looking for sex right now anyway." She said, shrugging. Gabby took his hands, looking up at him. "Why don't you just give the guy a chance. You might like him." She said as she kissed his fingers. "Everyone said you were awful, but i didn't push you away." She whispered as she hugged him.

Kaycee was surprised by his words, so much so that she pulled away from his kiss to eye him carefully. Nick was the most honest person she knew, but she couldn't imagine him liking somebody who cheated on his brother with him. "You like me? Even though you know what I've done and what I'm like?" she asked quietly.

Clay watched her, staring at her for a long moment before he sighed. "He gets one chance, Gabby," he said firmly as he returned her hug gently and rubbed her back with a small frown. "If he ruins that one chance, if he hurts Em or makes her cry in any way, he's getting his ass handed to him the moment I know about it."

Nick nodded, "I don't like you Kaycee. I love you. I don't care about all the stuff that happened with Ryan." He said as he watched her reaction. "I don't expect you to want to be with me though. I imagine you will want to be alone for awhile though." He said.

Gabby smiled and hugged him tightly, "Oh thank you baby." She said as she kissed him. She pulled away from him, "I'm sure it will all be fine." She said as she hugged him again. "You are the best." She said as she ran her hands under his shirt. She smiled at the feeling of his muscles. "I'm glad i have you." She whispered.

Kaycee's eyes widened in surprise and she could feel her heart swell with his words and her cheeks burn. "I do... Think it would be better to be alone for a while," she admitted, "Not because of you, of course! But... Because Ryan called me a cheating whore in front of so many at school, I don't want them to agree with him. Can we... Maybe wait a while for things to calm down and then try to, um, be together?"

"You sound like me agreeing to give Jake a chance benefits you somehow," Clay chimed casually as he eyed her with an arched brow. He was curious as to why she wanted him to be okay with Jake so badly. Jake was Emily's problem, not Gabby's. He smiled, though, and pressed his lips to hers, his hands resting on her waist as he drew her close. "I'm glad I have you as well, though. Didn't think I was that lucky."
