It seemed that no matter what lesson that she was taught, Elizabeth didn't seem to learn anything. Except maybe how to get into further trouble the next time an urge popped up. Today marked a week of no contact with Crowley and oh, she had tried (or would argue she had) her best to be patient but she still mattered, she still needed attention. She was a little brat as he often called her but then, if she got what she wanted, she probably wouldn't be. Maybe she wouldn't be. Ha.

Tugging down the little dress she wore, Liz climbed into her car. She turned the engine over and wasted no time in taking off, heading for a rumoured nest of vampires. Hell, she knew that she was no match for anything Supernatural but she knew, or at least hoped, that Crowley would show up when he realized she was in danger. He had never disappointed before and she hoped he wouldn't begin tonight.

Elizabeth pulled off of the main road onto a dirt one and travelled for a few more minutes before killing the engine. Her heart was pounding in a mixture of fear because there was always an if but more so in anticipation. Even if Crowley was angry, she didn't really have it in her to care because she would get to see him and even she could admit she was selfish.

Climbing out of the car, Liz clutched her keys in one hand, slamming her car door shut, wanting to alert any creature nearby to her presence.

A twig snapped to her left after only a few steps taken and she smirked when another sounded from the far right. An unnamed vampire stepped in front of her, cutting off her path further down the road and it was only then that she called for Crowley.

Crowley hated his duties in Hell, he never understood why he had to do it all, being the most important person there and all. Currently, he sat in his area of residence, taking sips of his Scotch every so often. The man was looking at the wall, waiting... For what, he didn't know, anything to save him from his inevitable boredom.

But this isn't the break he wanted.

When he felt Elizabeth call him, he closed his eyes shut tightly as his right eyebrow twitched in annoyance. That little girl was a nuisance, she'd always test her luck with him... She never seems to get that he's a demon, a demon that could easily snap her throat if he wanted too.

But, for some reason... He couldn't.

Without a choice, he placed his cup of Scotch down before appearing behind Liz. Seeing the situation, he growled under his breath. What was she thinking? She's no match for vampires - she can barely hurt a fly, let alone a blood sucking creature... Plus, her attire wasn't fit for fighting, though he wasn't entirely complaining.

"Stay behind me." He grumbled, as he grabbed Elizabeth's arm and yanked her behind him. The vampires advanced towards him, almost unaware of the threat Crowley poses... Simply, with a flick of his wrist, their heads twisted, making them fall to the floor. While it wouldn't kill them, he knew it would make them suffer slowly before they bled out.

Without hesitation, he grabbed her and teleported her to a nearby safe house he acquired. "What the hell were you thinking, girl?! You could of been killed!" He shouted, annoyed that she tried to take them on... And annoyed at the fact she probably did this just to get his attention.

    What an annoyance!

Had Elizabeth been afraid Crowley would truly hurt her, she would have never stepped so far out of line because she knew that he must have done something to earn his title. While she had never witnessed his all out fury, she felt almost stupidly confident that Crowley cared for her in some sort of aspect. He cared for her in ways she didn't think were really possible. Not from a demon of all things.

Her parents had been killed by a werewolf a few years ago and since, she hqad been trying to find her place in the world. Crowley, he'd offered her an acceptance that no one else had. That it was okay to be angry and frustrated, that she didn't need to pretend like their deaths had never happened.

Liz' stomach clenched as she was yanked behind Crowley and before she could really consider what had happened, she was standing in one of his safe houses.

Elizabeth stepped away from Crowley, her eyes narrowing as she crossed her arms. She had to pretend to be angry, she couldn't just jump right into his arms. Particularly with the attitude that he was giving her.

"What was I thinking?" She hissed through gritted teeth, "I was thinking about how you have completely ignored me over the past week! What the hell am I supposed to start thinking? Maybe there's something you need to tell me? Should I just get lost so you can go find a prettier whore?" Elizabeth shouted back, shaking her head.

Crowley pinched the bridge of his nose before sighing in annoyance, before pacing up and down the room in front of her. "And you thought that risking your life was a good idea? What if they killed you, Elizabeth? What if they hurt you beyond repair?"

His tone cooled slightly, but the anger still was bubbling inside of him, arising through his body at a rapid rate. "I had to deal with an issue, that's why I wasn't able to communicate with you! You think I wanted to ignore you? You're wrong... The issue I had to deal with was... A matter I felt that struck a chord inside this meatsuit of mine."

Now, he had stopped pacing, and just studied Elizabeth's features.

"You really think that? That all I see you is a whore? If I wanted a whore, I would of got myself one in Hell!" His angered flared up, as he paced again in order to calm down.

The reality was, he had to kill his second in command due to his relations with a human. The elderly demon got too close to a human, and - well, Hell doesn't approve of relations with humans. It dawned upon Crowley that this could happen to him...

"The reason I 'ignored' you for a week was in order to keep your safety!"

It's true - he tried his best to change the rules, being in his position he probably could of... But his minions didn't appreciate his choices of lifting the ban on human relationships.

"It's the only damn way that I can get your attention it seems like!" Elizabeth answered back with a huff. She looked away from him then, blinking away the tears that threatened to fall. No. She wasn't going to cry, she wasn't about to break down in front of him damnit.

"What else do you look at me as, Crowley? We hardly do anything but fuck and when we do something else, it's you buttering me up with a meal or some sort of fancy jewellery. What's so hard about doing something else? Like a movie or a hike or something that is a bit more normal. Or do you just want to be a sugar daddy for the rest of my life?"

At the explanation that fell from Crowley's lips, she tensed and slowly turned to face him. "Right. My safety," she answer, letting out a dry laugh. "From who? You?"

Elizabeth straightened up, blinking away her tears as she turned to face Crowley again.

"You should probably take me back to my car. Thsi isn't going to go anywhere, Crowley."

Crowley was so close to snapping - why was he bothering? Elizabeth just doesn't understand when the stop, and when she spoke about what they did, that was the boiling point for his fury.

"I don't know how to show affection, alright?!" He stopped pacing, and now just looked at Elizabeth turning to face her. "You really think that I look at you as something bad? Explain this, Elizabeth - when I saw the vampires approaching you, how come I felt scared? Frightened that they might of hurt you? That they could of killed you?! I, personally, wanted to kill all of them slowly and send their souls to Hell to rot and suffer... But you know what stopped me?"

The man let out a deep sigh, his gaze still focused on her eyes - not moving his eyes. "I didn't want YOU to see me as a monster! I care, Elizabeth... I'm not supposed to, it's not in our nature - but I feel something, okay?"

Shaking his head, he walked closer and gripped her hand, before they appeared in front of her car. Crowley said nothing, but he just let the hand go, clearly annoyed but with a different emotion laced into his eyes, that could be recognized as sorrow.

    Just maybe.
