Clarissa's bones ached, and her skin felt like it was on fire. She had been hung up by her wrist for days now. Dangling in the air, her toes just barely touched the cold wet floor below her. Her eyes were sore from lack of sleep, though she had fainted more than a few times, due to lack of food. She could hear the moans and screams from those around her. Her blonde hair stuck to her forehead, and the sorry excuse for a dress clung to her body.
"Wake up!" A rough sounding voice called at her. A large man, his eyes red and empty glared at her. He was a demon. He had been the one to look out for her. He had done a horrible job. "You have a few men coming to look at you today, try and look presentable." Clarissa whimpered and tried her best to hold her head up between her aching arms. Her hands had gone numb some time ago.
The knots at her shoulders where her wings met her back, were sore from being poked and prodded by countless potential buyers. They had gone still, and no longer fluttered, just like the rest of her body which no longer responded to soft touches, and only to pain.
Clarissa could barely remember how she had gotten where she was, but it was a dark and damn place. The lights above hung by their wires, and swung back and forth. It gave the building an eerie feel. It was hot, hotter than the sun she could imagine.

Thomas wasn't in need of a slave exactly. He more or less just wanted one. He was bored, he had gotten rid of all of his staff in a fit of rage some time ago. He was desperate for some companionship. He needed someone to talk too. He had heard of an underground market for slaves and such. As he walked the grounds, he understood why it was underground.
It was dirty and loud. Those being sold hung from tight ropes, their bodies stretched to their max capacity. He watched as men and women alike shopped and tested out the merchandise. He was looking for something exotic. Something that no one else had.
"Hello sir, how may I help you?" An older looking vampire had approached him. In disgust Thomas stepped back before speaking.
"I want something rare." He held his suit jacket in one arm as they walked down the hall. He could see all types of creatures. Angels, demons, fairies, elves, vampires, werewolves, a mermaid?
"Stop." Thomas called after the man. Tucked away in the corner was a slender woman, her lower half lowered into murky water, her upper half stretched like the others around her. Thomas stood by the tank of water and snapped his fingers in an attempt at waking the sleeping woman up.
