Brian flipped through an old book, yawning softly. He was supposed to meet up with Eleanor tonight, but he felt like needed a major nap first. Maybe a good run would wake him up. Brian walked out of the cottage, taking a deep breath before he took off into a sprint. He couldn't shift into wolf form now, it was still too light out. He definitely couldn't risk getting caught. His mind began to wonder to far off places as he ran, thinking about anything and everything. Brian had only been dating Eleanor for a month or so, but this past month has been amazing. She was such a great girl. Though sometimes Brian got this weird vibe on occasion. It was like there was something there that he just needed to be cautious about. Brian shook his head, not wanting to overthink it. It was probably nothing.
Eva sighed as she folded her laundry, glancing at the clock. It was still really early and she was already ready for bed. Eva had nothing else to do with her life besides work, come home, make dinner, and go to bed. She gave up on love a long time ago. Eleanor had tried getting her to go out a couple of times with her and her boyfriend's friends, but Eva didn't want to introud. That was her sister's thing, those were her friends. Eva didn't want to barge in and risk being unwelcomed. Eva groaned, flopping back on her bed and staring up at the ceiling. She really needed to find a hobby or something. Hunting though definitely wasn't going to be it. Her father was pressing the issue on her and Eleanor really heavily lately. The last thing Eva wanted to do was go out and hunt down poor innocent werewolves. What harm were they doing? None, thats what. Eva didn't care how much of a family tradition it was, she didn't want to do it. But she knew that eventually she was going to have to.

Matt was comfortably lounging on the couch in the living room, the large television screen was focused on a fight that Matt was winning through smacking his thumbs on the controls. He was playing a video game as he didn’t have anything else to do that day, well until later that is. Eleanor had organised a barbecue, the pack were coming because they all adored Eleanor. She was by far the best girlfriend Brian has ever had and Matt couldn’t agree more, he thought she would fit right into their werewolf life whenever Brian told her.

He wasn’t actively looking for a special someone, he has had his heart broken way too many times and he was tired of getting hurt over and over again. So he decided not to look for love, if he was meant to find the love of his life then he would but he wouldn’t search for it anymore. He had already gone out that morning to pick up some alcohol for the barbecue, Brian and Eleanor had the meat planned and everyone else would bring sides or dessert. He knew it was going to be a good day, it always was when the pack got together for a relaxing day. He just hoped Eleanor wouldn’t try and set him up again, he never liked the girls she thought he would.
Eleanor used her key and walked into her sister’s place, “Eva?” She called out as she put her handbag down in the kitchen, she heard her sister’s voice come from her bedroom. So Eleanor headed that way only to find Eva laying on her bed with a pile of clothes beside her, “Eva… Get up, I’m having a barbecue and you’re coming. You aren’t going to refuse this time,” She told her sister as she took her hands and pulled Eva up so she was sitting on her bed. “We both need this time to relax,” She looked at her sister, who was younger than Eleanor but only by 18 months. Their father had been constantly talking to them about their family and how they came from a long line of werewolf hunters.

Eleanor had laughed the first time she heard that, werewolves didn’t exist in her mind. She still hadn’t seen one, only pictures that were in the old books that their father kept in his office. “He cornered me yesterday, told me about Uncle Ray’s death again, like I forgot that a werewolf killed him.” She sighed softly as it was beginning to get all too much for her, she was getting confused because she didn’t see werewolves as bad creatures but her father’s voice was getting into her head. So she wanted to spend some time with her sister and her boyfriend, she hadn’t been dating Brian for long but he was amazing. Handsome and he was a gentleman, he treated her like a princess and he got along really well with Eva. He hadn’t met her parents just yet though.

After his run, Brian went home to shower and get ready. He figured he could go bother Matt for a while before he had to go to the party that Eleanor was hosting later. Brian was actually pretty excited for this, the entire pack was getting together to hangout and have fun. Just some time to relax and not have to worry about any problems in their day to day life. After Brian had finished getting ready, he headed over to Matt's. Brian walked into the house, raising an eyebrow at the blaring sounds coming from the TV. "Are you deaf or something?" He asked, sitting next to him on the couch. Matt always had the tv or steering blasting like he couldn't hear. Sometimes it was a bit ridiculous. Brian just figured the other man liked shutting out the world with his loud music and games. Brian reached over and grabbed the remote, turning the tv off with a smirk. "It's time to get ready, big boy. Don't forget to wear your lucky boxers. You never know what might be in store for you tonight," Brian said, wiggling his eyebrows. Elenor was constantly trying to set Matt up with someone, simply because he was the only one of Brian's friends who didn't have a special someone or a mate in their life. She only had it in her best interest to try and make Matt happy with a special someone, which Brian really admired. Eleanor did whatever she could to not only make Brian happy, but his friends also. She was definitely someone he could see spending his life with, that's only if she accepted what he was once he told her. Brian always had this fear that she wouldn't want anything to do with him once he told her that he was a werewolf. It wasn't a very easy thing to accept, he knew. He just hoped that when the day came, she just accepted him for who and what he was.
Eva heard her sister coming into her place, yelling out to her where she was. Eva looked up at her as she entered the room, groaning in protest as she pulled her up. The last thing she wanted to do was go to a barbecue. All Eva wanted to do all day was lay in bed in her pile of clean laundry and wallow in her self pity. She really had no idea what was wrong with her today. Maybe she did need to get out and socialzie a bit with actual people instead of the ones in her books that she read constantly. Eva was a major book worm, just being around her for five minutes you could definitely find that out. "But Eleanor, going to a barbecue requires getting up and getting ready, I'm so lazy," she whined, pointing. Eva listened to her sister as she talked about their father and his constant reminded of who killed their uncle, sighing heavily and shaking her head. Its not like they didn't know who killed him, or that they would ever forget. The death of him was the day that everything changed; the day that their father became so obsessed with hunting down those creatures and killing every last one of them until he found the one who killed his brother. Eva didn't think there was anything wrong with werewolves, they were people just like they were. So what if they change into wolves? Wolves were gorgeous and secretly one of Eva's favorite animals. "He was lecturing me the last time I saw him, too," she grumbled, shaking her head. "He thinks that we forget or something, it's pretty hard to considering that was the day our whole lives changed. He's become so obsessed, he never used to hound us so bad about being hunters," she said, snorted at her own pun.

(Oh my god! I’m so sorry! I didn’t see that you had replied  )

Matt rolled his eyes when his friend joined him on the couch, “Huh?” He chuckled although his eyes stayed glued to the screen, he was at a new part in his game and he was excited to get through it. However it seemed like Brian had a different idea as he turned the TV screen off, “Why did you do that?” He groaned as he wasn’t ready to stop playing the video game, luckily the game had been saved seconds before Brian walked into his house so he didn’t lose much of where he was in the game. “I’m not going to wear my lucky boxers,” He grumbled as he crossed his arms, he wasn’t wasting his time in looking for a mate anymore. The last woman he dated had been amazing, or so he thought. He thought she was his mate, until she cheated on him and left him. To say that it left a mark on Matt was an understatement, it still hurt him and it hurt seeing his friends with their mates when he had no one.

“And you can tell Eleanor that she can stop trying to set me up, I’ve had enough of it.” He told him friend even though he knew Eleanor was only trying to help him, “Besides it’s just a barbecue. I’m not going to get lucky at a barbecue,” He spoke as he stretched out his body, he had been sitting on the couch since the early morning and was now only moving. He really didn’t need to get ready, his clothes was fine. Dark jeans and a light grey t-shirt, which clung to his muscular tattooed arms and his broad chest. Boots covered his feet and he had some after shave applied, so he was fine. “You heading over soon? I have some burgers in the fridge,” He told his friend knowing that Brian was head over heels for Eleanor, he was surprised Brian was there with him and not with his girl.
Eleanor knew that Eva had been in a mood recently, which is why Eva needed to get out of her house and be around actual people. “You are going to get up and get ready,” She wasn’t going to take no for an answer this time, so she stepped over to her sister’s closet and opened the doors. Finding a pair of light wash denim shorts and a nice deep purple button down shirt, “Put these on now.” She ordered as she tossed the clothes over onto Eva’s lap, before she pulled out a cute pair of sandals. “He never even cared about us becoming hunters before, I highly doubt either of us would be any good.” Eva was constantly burying her nose in books and Eleanor just wasn’t interested in hunting, besides she hated anything scary and sneaking through forests sounded awful to her. She smiled when Eva seemed to give in and went into her bathroom so she could get ready, Eleanor was already wearing a nice navy dress that hit just above her knees with sandals on her feet. Her blonde hair was curled and she didn’t have much makeup on, it was just a causal barbeque with friends.

“So… Brian has this friend, Matt. He’s an amazing guy, you two will hit it off right away.” She smiled as she couldn’t wait for Eva to meet Matt, they had a lot in common which meant that there was a chance things could go further between them. That’s all she ever wanted for her sister, to find a great guy who would make her happy and treat her how she deserved.

    [That's totally okay, don't sweat it. c:]

Brian raised an eyebrow at Matt, sighing softly. "Nope, I am so not doing that. She'll cut off my dick in two seconds flat," he said, his eyes wide. "Plus, it's her sister she's trying to set you up with this time," Brian said with a smirk, wiggling his eyebrows. "She's super gorgeous, great personality, and very loyal. Like a puppy," he said, laughing at his own little pun. "You'll like her, she's great. I promise. No time for burgers, we gotta get back to Eleanor's before she realizes I haven't been there doing my chores," he said, grabbing Matt's arm and dragging him out the door. Since Brian had been procrastinating for a few hours while Eleanor ran some errands, he could definitely use the help. He changed into wolf form, waiting for Matt to do the same before running to Eleanor's as fast as he possibly could. He knew that he had to go to Eva's first to try and drag her out of the house, that took a good while, so hopefully that would spare him some time. Brian had been there earlier today before she left, giving him a list of things to do to help her get ready. Instead of doing them, what did he do? He went for a run. Typical. But he'd get them done, with Matt's help of course.

When Brian finally got to Eleanor's, his car still there from earlier, he changed back, dusting off his shirt and heading inside. "Let's get crackin'," he said to Matt, walking inside. Brian looked over the list on the counter, forgetting how much he really needed to get done. He gave Matt a few things to do before Brian hurried up and started doing what he gave himself to do, hoping like hell he'd get it done in time before Eleanor got back.
Eva groaned, giving into her sisters demands and going into her bathroom to put on the clothes she had picked out for her, along with freshening up a bit. When Eleanor mentioned something about some guy named Matt, Eva stuck out head out of her bathroom, raising a brow at her sister. "Matt? Hit it off? Eleanor, you're not trying to set me up, are you?" Eva whined, making a face. She hated it when her sister tried to set her up with someone. They never liked her even though Eva liked them a good portion of the time. They were always so damn good looking and way out of her league. If they were one of Brian's friends, lord have mercy on her soul. They were probably going to look like something heaven sent. "Do you know how awkward I'm going to be? They never end up liking me," she said, stepping out of the bathroom after she put some mascara on and put her hair in a messy bun. She wasn't trying to impress, not with her track record. Eva put on some perfume and her favorite accessories, sliding her aviators on top of her head. She was beginning to get really nervous. She was lonely and she really wanted someone. She craved to be with someone. But she wouldn't say she was desperate. Sometimes she was content with being alone. But then she saw how Brian treated Eleanor and she just wanted something like that. Eva thought it would be really cool to have a boyfriend that was friends with Eleanor's boyfriend, they'd be able to spend more time together. Hang out in groups, go on double dates. Okay, not she was thinking like some teenager obsessing over some guy she's never met.

Eleanor’s sister was even worse. If she didn’t like him then it would make everything super awkward and uncomfortable, Matt hated this idea but he wasn’t game enough to actually tell Eleanor that. Changing to his wolf form he ran behind Brian, his dark rich midnight black fur moved as he ran towards Eleanor’s house. He didn’t run as fast as Brian, he wouldn’t have to deal with a disappointed girlfriend if they didn’t finish all the jobs that needed to get done. Once at her house he changed back and walked inside, he listened to the jobs that Brian gave him before he went off to get them all done before the blonde returned home. He used his increased strength to move all the heavy furniture on the back deck, he brought out all the drinks and put them in ice, he then cleaned the barbecue so it was ready to be used. He had just finished sweeping the leaves off the deck when he heard a car pull into the garage, Eleanor was back and she was probably with her sister.

Sighing heavily so Brian would hear him, he leaned against the wooden railing and silently prayed that nothing would ruin the day. He wanted to spend time with his friends, but if things weren’t going well between himself and Eva then he would make up an excuse and leave. He heard voices before he saw the sisters, he sent Eleanor a small smile before his eyes moved behind her and suddenly everything stopped. His heart quickened in his chest and his mouth felt dry, Eva was more than gorgeous. She was the single definition of perfection, what Brian said about her did her no justice. “Fuck…” He whispered under his breath as he couldn’t take his eyes off her, but he forced himself to look away as he didn’t want to scare her away if he continued staring.
“No, I’m not.” Eleanor smiled at her sister as she lied, she was trying to set her sister up with Matt but only because she had a really good feeling about them. If anything she hoped a friendship would form as they both needed to get out more, she knew exactly how Eva felt when she was set up with guys which is why Eleanor hasn’t done it in a few months. And in those few months, Eva hasn’t gone out nor has she met anyone. “You’ll be fine, Eva. Stop worrying about this, everyone is going to adore you.” Eleanor knew that Brian’s friends would, they were all so open and warm. They’d welcome Eva in instantly, although that wouldn’t stop her from over thinking all of this like she always does. “Let’s go,” She grabbed Eva’s arm once she was ready and pulled her outside to her car, allowing Eva to lock up her home before Eleanor drove back to her home which wasn’t far from her sister’s.

Her smile widened when she saw Brian’s car still parked in the driveway, she really didn’t know how she was so lucky to have found Brian but she didn’t dare complain. Parking in her garage she walked into her house and noticed that everything had been set up, which meant that Brian followed the list that she had written for him. “It looks great,” She smiled wrapping her arms around her boyfriend’s neck before she planted a kiss on his lips, “I knew you’d listen.” She smiled at her incredibly handsome boyfriend before turning to her sister, “Eva this is Matt. Matt this is my sister Eva,” She introduced them as she leaned into Brian’s warm body.

Brian thankfully got everything done when he was supposed to, with Matt's help of course. Everything went way smoother than he has expected. Somehow he thought he wasn't going to get anything done before Eleanor got back to the house. Brian looked out the back door, grinning when he saw that Matt had gotten everything done that he'd asked him to do. Brian put the finishing touches on a few things, chuckling when he heard a very audible sigh come from Matt outside. He was definitely going to have to pay his best friend back for helping him. Especially since Brian didn't even ask, he just grabbed Matt and dragged him off. He looked up when he heard the garage opening and the side door open, Eleanor coming inside. He smiled big at her, wrapping his arms around her. "Thank you, baby," he murmured, kissing her lips softly. "I had help, of course," he said, chuckling as he motioned to Matt. Brian would always listen to Eleanor. She was absolutely everything to him. Even though they've only been together for a few short months, he was almost positive that she was his mate. But he didn't want to get ahead of himself, he new that things could definitely take a turn for the worst at any given second.

As Eleanor introduced the two, Brian nudged his girlfriend softly, getting excited at their reactions towards one another. Brian could definitely tell that Matt was so into Eva. His face was flushed, he stared at her for way longer than necessary and now he didn't know where to look. Brian couldn't even remember the last time Matt had gotten this worked up over a girl. It was hilarious, honestly. Brian really wanted this for his friend, and for his girlfriend's sister. All Eleanor ever worried about was how Eva stayed at home by herself all the time and had no one, so all she ever wanted to do was go over there and hang out with her, or bring her over here. Which totally cut into their alone time a lot but it didn't bother him. It was one of the many traits that BRian loved about her.
Eva sighed heavily as she followed Eleanor inside her home, looking around the house. She always loved how spotless her sister could keep her place. She followed her into the kitchen, smiling smiling back at Brian and saying a small hello. He was gorgeous, no doubt. Her sister was a very lucky woman. Eva heard the sliding back door open and someone step inside, a deep husky voice say hello to Eleanor. Eva couldn't see anything just yet, not until she turned around. Her breath got caught in her throat as she saw the man before her, her sister introducing him as Matt. She managed to give him a small, slightly awkward and shy wave, biting down hard on her bottom lip. Jesus, he was fucking gorgeous. All she wanted to do at that moment was run and hide. What in the hell was Eleanor even thinking? No man like him would even want someone like Eva. Mat was tall, tan and muscular. He had the brightest hazel eyes she'd ever seen. She could tell that he had dimples by the demarkations on his cheeks. Eva felt like she didn't even deserve a chance with this man. She began picking at her nails, a nervous habit that she'd had since she could remember. Once she realized she was doing it, she immediately stopped and put her hands behind her back. If Eleanor noticed, she'd yell at Eva like she were a little kid. Even though she was only younger by 18 months, Eleanor still treated her like a baby.

Eva cleared her throat, licking out her lips and looking around at everyone in the room. She gave Matt the pretties smile she had, extending her hand out to him. "It's very nice to meet you, Matt," she said, wanting to give this the best shot she possibly could, even though she knew she was probably going to screw it up at some point. Maybe he wasn't even interested in her, who knows? She couldn't even read the expression on his face. All she knew was that he couldn't stop staring and that alone was making her so much more nervous than she probably needed to be at this point.

Matt didn’t know what to say, what could he say? He felt like if he opened his mouth he’d only make an idiot out of himself and Eva wouldn’t want anything to do with him, he wouldn’t blame her either. She was drop dead gorgeous, she deserved to be with someone normal. Not a werewolf like himself, he didn’t have much of a chance with her anyway so he shouldn’t get too ahead of himself. She was so far out of his league. But she then offered him her hand to shake which he did, being careful not to be too strong with her. But her small warm hand felt so nice in his, her skin was incredibly soft and her scent was naturally sweet but slightly musky underneath. “It’s a pleasure, El is always talking about you. It’s nice to finally put a face to the name,” He smiled as he gave in and looked at her, the dimples formed in his cheeks as he tried to take in every little feature without appearing creepy.

Pulling his hand back, he knew he needed to get to know her and talk to her more. Eleanor and Brian couldn’t have started speaking but he wouldn’t have heard them, all his attention was on Eva now. “Are you reading any good books at the moment? I’m rereading The Count of Monte Cristo again,” He told her honestly as he did like reading whenever he got the chance to, which was normally when he wasn’t playing video games or eating or going on runs in his wolf form. He wondered what else she was interested in and if they had anything else in common, he did know that Eleanor had probably mentioned more about her younger sister but right now Matt couldn’t remember anything. Most likely because he hadn’t been listening at the time, which he cursed himself for now.
Eva hadn’t frozen yet, she was actually talking to Matt and they looked so cute together. “Do you think we should leave them alone?” Eleanor whispered to Brian as things were going well, she didn’t want to linger about and watch. Maybe this could finally be a successful, Eva deserved to just be happy and she knew Matt would make her happy. Feeling Brian nod his head as he agreed with her, she felt him guide her out through the sliding door and onto the back deck. “Thank you for getting everything ready, it really did help me today.” She praised him as she leaned up on her toes and pressed another kiss to his lips, Brian was by far the best kisser she has ever known. Not that she’s kissed or dating that many guys, less than a handful and not one had ever treated her like Brian does. She had begun to believe that she wasn’t going to find the guy for her, or she would have to settle. But that all changed the day she met Brian at a coffee shop, she had been rushing and didn’t see him until she ran into and spilt coffee on him.

“Maybe now if everything goes well, Eva will be spending more time Matt and we can have more time together just on our own.” Eleanor smiled as she knew Brian found it hard at times having Eva around so much, but he seemed to understand where she was coming from. Eva was on her own so much that Eleanor always invited her over, or they went over and visited her. She just hated the thought of her sister being alone, “You’ve been amazing. And you might just get rewarded for it,” She giggled softly as her blue eyes found Brian’s dark one, she has never been so happy before. Nor has she ever loved someone so much, her heart would beat like crazy and her stomach would be filled with butterflies every time Brian was there. She just had to think about him and she’d become distracted, she knew he was the man for her.

Brian nodded at her suggestion, taking her out onto the back porch. Everyone should be arriving at any minute now, so they might as well let the two inside have a few moments to themselves before everyone got here. As well as he and Eleanor, Brian wanted just a little bit of alone time with her. Brian grinned and wrapped his arms around her as he leaned back against the railing of the porch, sighing contently. "I sure hope so. Not that I don't enjoy hanging out with your sister, but I really enjoy hanging out with you more. I just want more alone time, you know?" he said, biting down on his bottom lip. He smirked when she said that he might get rewarded for getting everything that she asked done today, raising a brow. "Rewarded, huh? I look forward to that," he said softly. Brian couldn't wait for later tonight after the get together. He couldn't wait to get her alone and spend some much needed quality time with her. It felt like forever since they really did anything intimate. They had such a special connection when ever they did anything of the sort that convinced Brian even more that she was his mate. But the more he thought about it, the more scared he got about someday telling her what he was. What if she got terrified of him being a werewolf and ran off? What if she couldn't stand the thought of him turning into a beast and couldn't love him anymore? But finding your mate was a mutual thing, it wasn't just for the wolf. It was almost a soul mate sort of thing. They felt it to, but unless were also a werewolf, they didn't know what they were feeling. They just thought they were madly in love and in more ways than one.

Their time was cut short when Johnny came through the back gate, cooler in tow. "Sup guys," he said, beer in hand already. Brian rolled his eyes and sighed heavily, shaking his head. Not long after that Zacky followed suit, an even bigger cooler behind him. "Let's get this party started!" He sang, doing a little dance before setting his cooler somewhere. "This is going to be a very interesting night," he said with a small chuckle, kissing the top of Eleanor's head. Brian really loved his friends, but sometimes they could be a bit of a handful. Especially when they all got drunk together, sometimes they couldn't control their wolves. But they had to desperately try their hardest to do that tonight, especially since they had two people that didn't know their secret to worry about.
Eva bit down on her bottom lip, not even noticing that Eleanor and Brian left to go outside. She was way to into Matt at the moment. When he mentioned the book he was reading, a shit eating grin spread across her face and she stepped closer to him, super excited. "Oh my gosh, I love that book," she said excitedly, bouncing up and down. "Right now I'm rereading rereading Romeo and Juliet, it's honestly one of my absolute favorite tragic love stories," she said with a small sigh. "I'm a total bookworm. That's all I ever do is read. I'm not sure if Eleanor ever mentioned it, but I don't ever do anything. I never go out. Like, ever. Unless she drags me somewhere, but other than that I just work and go home," she said with a small, embarrassed giggle. It wasn't like that was something she wanted to do, that was just how it was. But it wasn't like she wasn't content with it either. It was better than getting her feelings hurt and her heartbroken if she fell inlove again. Eva bit down hard on her bottom lip, doing her best not to shrink back from the thought. Things were going so great so far, she couldn't put her walls back up and make herself seem like more of a freak than she already was.

Before she knew it, some loud mouth, tall and lanky man with crazy hair and glasses came barging through the front door with some lady. "Top of the mornin' to yah, lads," he shouted, skipping inside while the girl dragged in his cooler. Eva furrowed her brow, squealing when the tall man picked her up and spun her around. "You must be Eva! Well, you look just like yer sister, I'd say. Cutie," he said with the most fake Irish accent ever. When he finally set Eva down, she held onto the counter for support and shook her head to clear it. "Jesus," she groaned, squeezing her eyes shut. This man was absolutely bonkers. "I am so sorry about him. I'm Adelaide, Jimmy's Fiancee," the girl said, rubbing Eva's shoulder before quickly going after Jimmy who was now running outside to say hello to everyone else. When Eva's head finally stopped spinning, she looked out the sliding glass door to see that there were more people here. "Oh," she murmured, rubbing the back of her neck.

Matt chuckled softly at how excited Eva was when he mentioned what book he was reading, her heart beat increased in her chest and gave a healthy thud. “I do enjoy Romeo and Juliet, although I found all the movies that have been made of it to all be shit. The book had so much more detail, but I guess not everything can fit into a two hour film.” Matt commented as he loved the plot of Romeo and Juliet, it reminded him of how a wolf felt when he knew who his mate was. A werewolf would do absolutely everything for their mate, there have even been times when a wolf would kill themselves if their mate passed away. Matt had only heard the stories, he’s never actually known a wolf who did that but it made sense to him. Although he’s never experienced having a mate, he has seen the affects it has over wolves and that’s all he has ever wanted for his life. To marry his mate and start a family of his own.

“You should get out more, you have no idea what you’ve been missing. I mean if your sister didn’t drag you here, then I never would have met you and I’m so glad that I did.” He sent her a warm smile which showed off the dimples in his cheeks, he laughed loudly when Jimmy introduced himself to the blonde. “You’ll get used to him,” He assured Eva before he noticed where she was looking, turning around he saw that Johnny and Zacky had arrived. “The short ass is Johnny and the one with glasses is Zacky, they’ll love you so you have nothing to worry about. That’s Meagan, she’s Zacky wife and the brunette one is Lacey who is Johnny’s wife.” He pointed out his friend’s mates who had also arrived, he always felt like the odd man out when the pack came together. He was the only single one left now that Brian had found Eleanor and somehow managed to convince her to date him, he knew they would be next to get married because all you needed to see was how Brian looked at Eleanor to know that she was his mate. “We can stay in here for a little longer if you’re nervous,” He offered as he knew it was a lot to take in when the pack was together.
Eleanor understood Brian completely, she knew that he saw Eva as family but there was a limit to how often he wanted to see her and have her around. Eleanor knew that but he never once complained, which made her love and adore him so much more than she always does. “I know babe,” She leaned into his chest and relaxed into his arms, hopefully now Eva would have a friend in Matt and Eleanor wouldn’t need to worry so much about her little sister. A wide smile formed on her face when everyone arrived, she laughed when another pair of arms wrapped around her waist before she was being lifted up into the air. “I just met Eva, she’s adorable and I love her.” Jimmy announced as he set Eleanor down and rushed off to greet Johnny and Zacky, Eleanor found it sweet that Brian’s arms found her again and held her protectively. “You should probably warm up the barbeque, I’m getting hungry.” She told him as he always cooked on the barbeque, she had put all the food in a cooler beside the barbeque because her fridge was full of salads and desserts.

“Did you need any help?” She asked as she looked up at her boyfriend, she usually wasn’t allowed to help him because she apparently burns what she cooks on the barbeque. Eleanor thought he was just overreacting, last time she helped him she did get distracted by talking to the girls but nothing burnt because Brian noticed just in time. Once he answered her with his usual no, she decided to bring out all the salads and the dips so everyone could nibble while Brian cooked. She dashed into her house and pretended not to be there so she wouldn’t interrupt Eva and Matt, who were still talking. So she loaded up her arms and carried as much as she could outside to the table, setting the bowls of salad down she quickly went back into her kitchen and grabbed the crackers and dip. She opened the dip tubs before she grabbed herself and Brian a beer from her cooler, although she had to hand the two bottles over to him because she always struggled with taking the caps off.

Brian began cooking the meats, immediately shaking his head no when Eleanor asked if she could help. Brian had let her cook on the grill one time and that was probably the worst mistake he had ever made. She burned everything to a crisp. Brian, being part wolf and all, liked his meat a little rare. Not on the outside, but when you cut into it, he wanted it to look like it was still mooing. That was just so tasty. Brian put some seasoning on the meat before he closed the lid, grabbing himself a beer and popping the top. He rested his forearms on the railing of the deck, leaning over it and looking at everyone. They were just lounging around while Jimmy set up some music, swaying to whatever he had playing inside his head at the moment. Brian turned his attention to Eleanor, a small smile appearing on his face. He loved it when she wanted to host gatherings with the guys. It was like she understood that they were his family. Well, Brian did have a blood family, but these guys were his brothers. They all grew up together, they were Pack. There was nothing that they wouldn't do for one another. No mater what it was, they always defended and stoof up for one another. Brian just loved them all to death.

He stood up and took a swig of his beer before setting it down and checking on the meat, flipping it over and sighing at the content sizzling noise that it made. It was so nice. Brian loved grilling, but ask him to cook anything else and he wouldn't do it. Not only did he hate it, but he was also terrible at it. He was a meat eater for sure, not so keen on vegetables, but Eleanor kept forcing him to try to incorporate more of them into his diet to be just a little bit healthier. Which he totally got it, he really needed to eat more than just meat and potatoes. That sounded like such a guy thing, but he was more or less in it for the meat. But if he wanted his human to live to keep his wolf alive, he needed to treat his body way better than what he was doing currently. A bit later, the meat was done and Brian took it off the grill and sat it on a platter. "Meat's done," he called out, walking over and setting it on the table after turning the grill off. He took a peak inside the back door, raising a brow at the two inside who were steady talking. "I think we finally made a match," he murmured against Eleanor's ear before placing a small kiss against it.
Eva giggled lightly and nodded, agreeing. "The movies definitely don't do the books justice, but honestly no movie ever does any books justice," she said with a small sigh. She blushed deeply at Matt's words, biting down on her bottom lip. She really wanted to get out more, she did. She didn't know what she was so afraid of. She wanted go out on runs more in the woods like she used to do, she wanted to do more gardening. Maybe she just felt that if she left her house then her father would really crack the whip on this whole hunter thing. She just didn't want it happening. On top of that, it didn't help that her ex left her in a horrible mental state either. So she had that to deal with too. She sighed heavily, her heart melting at the sight of his dimples. As much as she wanted to stay here and talk so they could get to know them better, she could hear Brian calling that the food was ready and she was starving. Plus, she really didn't want to seem really rude by staying in here either. She wasn't that kind of person. Well, she never used to be. Lately she'd gladly lock herself up in her sisters house and shun away from all the new people she knew nothing about. But it was something about these people that made her want to know them more.

Eva smiled at Matt before she walked passed him, nodding towards the door. She slid it open, walking through and leaving it open for him. She could instantly smell all the good food around her, her mouth watering. Man she was hungry. She wanted to make herself a huge plate and stuff it al in her mouth at once. Eva looked over the food, biting down on her bottom lip. She had no idea what she wanted, though. She was terrible at making decisions. She settled with a burger, some pasta salad, chips, and a bottle of water before sitting at the picnic table. Eva's eyes widened when something wet touched her nose, looking down and seeing a little white dog sniffing her food. "Pinkly!" she said excitedly, picking the small dog up and cradling her in her arms. She couldn't remember the last time she had seen Brian's dog. He must've brought her here for the day to Eleanor's since he was spending the night or something. Eva just loved dogs, so she always got super obsessive and build a connection over every single one she met, no matter who's it was.

“That’s very true,” Matt agreed about how shit movies were when the plot came from a book, he always read the books before going to see the movie and he was usually always left disappointed in some ways but he still normally enjoyed watching the movie. Hearing Brian call out he followed Eva through the sliding door and out onto the back porch, the smell of perfectly cooked meat instantly hit his nose and caused his stomach to grumble from how hungry he was. He grabbed himself a beer before sitting down on a chair that was beside the one Eva had taken, he filled his plate with a big piece of steak and a burger and a few sausages but he still took a big spoonful of each salad that Eleanor made. Glancing over he noticed Pinkly had made herself comfortable in Eva’s arms, “Looks like someone loves you. She doesn’t let many people pick her up, none of Brian’s ex’s could get close to her until Eleanor came around.” He grinned as Pinkly was a very fussy little dog, sometimes when she was in a mood he wasn’t even allowed to pet her.

“We’ve all heard a lot about you Eva, why has it taken so long for you to come meet us?” Johnny asked bluntly but it was obvious he was just curious, Eleanor only ever had good things to say about her younger sister and none of them really understood why it’s taken months before they all met her. Of course, Matt understood more just from speaking to her and Eleanor had once mentioned briefly that Eva’s ex-boyfriend had done some damage to Eva’s confidence and self-esteem. If Matt ever saw her ex, he would take things into his own hands and teach the bastard a good lesson. “Johnny,” Lacey hissed to her husband and sent him a look so he would shut his mouth, “I’m sorry about him. His mouth works before his mind does,” Lacey apologized with a warm smile on her face, “She’s just had other things to do then spend time with you.” Matt chuckled softly hoping Eva wouldn’t begin to feel uncomfortable around them, cutting into his piece of steak and dipping the piece into some tomato ketchup before eating it.
“We? Are you forgetting that I did all the work on this one?” Eleanor smiled as she had dragged her sister there, all Brian did was well… not much. Matt was already coming over, so maybe Brian kept Matt there. Sitting down Eleanor got herself some salad and made herself a burger with a side of chips, taking a bite she enjoyed how delicious it was. “The meat is perfect, babe.” She told her boyfriend who always managed to cook well when it came to the grill, otherwise did was usually Eleanor that cooked because she didn’t mind cooking. She liked following recipes and taking her time to cook something really nice, there had only been a small handful of times that Brian did cook in an actual kitchen and that was when he cooked a romantic dinner for her. But she knew how much he hated it. She smiled brightly when Eva lifted Pinkly into her arms, “I might not be her favourite anymore.” She winked at her sister, both because Pinkly clearly adored Eva but also because she was doing so well with Matt and bringing around her friends.

Eleanor would need to pull Eva aside and ask her about Matt, she wanted to know exactly what Eva thought of Matt. She tried not to think too far ahead of herself, but there could hopefully be some double dates in the future. She could already picture Eva and Matt being together and being adorable, now she just had to wait and allow them to do this on their own. She couldn’t do anything more than what she already has.
