Waking up was not pleasant in the least for Zoey Davis. A groan escaped her pink lips as she soon felt the bruises from the day before hand. Her boyfriend had gotten angry at her for something and had taken the liberty of taking it out of her. Sighing, she stood up, getting out of bed to inspect the damage this time. He took great care to mainly avoid her face, but sometimes he forgot, or simply didn't care, and strike her on her cheek. Yesterday had been one of those rare instances and because of it, she now had a bruise on her right cheek. Sighing, Zoey knew today would be a day with foundation. She shrugged before frowning at the bruises coming up on on her stomach and collar bone. She got her make up before starting to layer it on her face and finish up her face makeup before spreading it onto her collar bone where a blue bruise was starting to surface, the color of the bruise especially pigmented today. She managed to hide it and smiled gently in the mirror at herself, telling herself he would fix it soon and everything would be better. She got dressed in a cute
dress along with fishnet tights and a pair of her black flats. Smiling at her reflection, she heard her phone buzz and grinned before texting her best friend, Emily,
Hey Em! What's the plan for today? She shook her head at herself before humming as she grabbed her backpack and an apple and headed towards school.
Zoey wondered if Derrick was in a better mood today, she hoped so. She knew better than to text him right now because she was sure he was driving towards school. Normally, he met her there and they would walk towards the breakfast area or something. She stretched gently biting down on her lip gently before biting into her apple. Once she was done with the apple, she tossed the apple core into the grass knowing it would disentegrate from the fact that it was biodegradable. She hadn't done much to her hair today so it wasn't curled, wasn't straighteneed, it was just in it's natural state. She was content to keep her hair like this because she didn't feel like getting all dressed up for school. When she was in the hallway, Zoey made her way towards her locker before opening it to get her books out and into her backpack. She sighed seeing her English book and rolled her eyes. The only subject that Zoey liked was art. She didn't appreciate her english class, and hated science and math and History bored her which she didn't quite like much in a subject. She normally fell asleep in class, which didn't bother her either. She didn't care much about school, and her parents didn't care much about her so it was a win win situation.
