Make Me Like You

Aubree frowned, not feeling right with him making her breakfast on her first day here. But hey, if he was willing to do it, she wouldn't protest. She didn't exactly want to burn his house down on the first day. She sat back down at the counter, after getting herself some apple juice, watching him. "Scrambled, please," she said, taking a sip of her juice. It was taking everything in her to not make a snarky remark or call him some sort of stupid name. Things were going so smoothly right now so she didn't want to ruin it. Well, maybe a little fun wouldn't hurt. She didn't have to talk. Aubree put her face in her hands, a small smirk on her face as she blew in the direction of Matt. His shorts started sliding down, along with his boxers. Aubree's eyes widened, hoping she'd be able to get them all the way down before he'd notice. The more they went down, the further she leaned up on the counter, practically on top of it. That is, until someone came into the kitchen and scared the fuck out of her. "Shit," she squealed, breaking her concentration and falling out of her chair, onto the floor. Her face turned blood red as she looked at Jimmy, an innocent smile on her face. It wasn't her fault that Matt had a really nice ass and she wanted to see it.

  • Matt could feel his shorts sliding down, so he tried to pull the string on them a bit tighter, but they kept sliding down. He huffed, his brows furrowing when Aubree squealed. He turned and looked down at her on the floor, totally confused. What the hell just happened? He looked over at Jimmy and then back at Aubree. "What the fuck?" he muttered, frowning when the fire alarm started going off. He turned back to the stove, cursing under his breath when he saw that the eggs were burning. He quickly moved the pan off the burner and turned it off, waving the smoke out of his face. "Well, eggs are fucked. Maybe we should just make some frozen waffles in the toaster."

Aubree giggled, getting up off the floor. He didn't even have a clue. She may have totally just fucked over their breakfast, but it was worth it. "Waffles are yummy," she said with a nod, sitting back up at the counter. Jimmy gave her a look and Aubree stuck her tongue out at him, hoping he'd get the message not to fuck with her unless he wanted his pants on the floor, or something even worse. Aubree has only really learned how to control wind and plants on other people this far, but she wanted to learn how to control he powers to defend herself. She needed to find someone to help her. She just had no idea who.

  • Matt watched as Jimmy let out a noise of dissatisfaction before leaving the kitchen. Matt opened the freezer door and pulled out the box of Eggo's, pulling two waffles out and putting them in the toaster. He pushed the button down and turned to her, looking her over. "Any reason you fell out of your chair?" he asked, having a feeling that she hadn't just fallen by accident. She was smart, he would give her that. And he felt like no matter when and no matter what the situation, she would always be up to something. Which was kind of exciting, but worrisome at the same time. That meant he'd always have to be on her at all times, making sure she didn't get in trouble or do something stupid. But he guessed that was his job now. Although, he wasn't too sure how Val would feel about that.

Aubree gave him an innocent little look, shaking her head. Her eyes traveled down his body before they quickly traveled back up, biting down on her lower lip. She could definitely keep these guys on their toes. They'd never know what she was up to. Well, maybe. At least the guys that watched her day in and day out back home never knew what she did half the time. But she was sure these guys were a hell of a lot smarter than that, they'd probably figure it out in no time. "Jimmy scared me and I slipped?" She said, it coming out more as a question than anything. She couldn't really come up with a better reason. Aubree took another sip of her apple juice, swaying her legs back and forth.

  • Matt raised an eyebrow at her. "That's not true," he said. "But I guess I'll accept it. For now." He turned when the toaster popped up, taking the two waffles and putting them on a plate. He put a little square of butter on top before pouring some syrup on them and grabbing a knife and a fork. He slid the plate across to her before he put some in for himself. He would definitely need more than two waffles, that's for sure. Maybe four. He would limit himself to four because he didn't feel like working out today and he knew he'd end up eating a big dinner tonight. Once his waffles were cooked and on the plate, he joined her at the island, sighing softly. "I guess we should get to know each other better."

Aubree licked over her lips at the sight of the waffles, getting situated in her chair. She took a hearty bite into her waffles, a small smile onto her face. She looked over at him, nodding in agreement. They definitely needed to get to know one another better. "Okay, I'll start. My mother died when I was extremely young. I haven't experienced anything beyond my house or wherever my father had my staying at the time. I went through caretakers and bodyguards like underwear, so it's hard for me to really get an emotional connection with anyone. My dad is all I have and sometimes I'm afraid I'll loose him someday. I was in love once, but I got ducked over royally when all he was really there for was to try and kill my father," she said, sneaking in pieces of waffles in between. "Oh, my favorite food is chicken nuggets, favorite animal is a wolf, favorite color is black, and...." she trailed off, trying to think. "I think that's it. "

  • Matt raised an eyebrow as he listened to her. The way she spoke so casually about all of that was weird to him, but he figured if you got fucked over in life so many times, you became immune to it eventually. He nodded, taking a bite of his waffles. "My dad was killed in battle. Well, not exactly battle, but he was attacked by a bunch of wolves, and he was killed," he said, looking down. He didn't like to think about that day. "My mom swore she'd never find another mate, but my sister and I urged her to find someone else. We wanted her to be happy. And she did find someone. They actually just got married a few months ago." He glanced over at her. "You've met Val, of course. I haven't proposed yet, but I really want to soon."

Aubree grinned, happy for his mother, but very sad for his father. "I'm so sorry about your father. As you know, I know what it's like to lose a parent. But that's so nice that she found someone else," she said, taking the last bite of her waffle. She didn't want to acknowledge the last thing that he said, because it made her feel like more shit than she already did. Matt wanted to get married to that blonde possessive bitch that scratched her face and right. Now Aubree was standing in the way of that. Who knows how long it was going to be before he could marry Val and start a family with her. Aubree sighed and got up, giving him a small smile. "Thanks for breakfast," she said, putting her dishes in the sink before leaving the kitchen.

  • Matt raised an eyebrow as he watched her leave the kitchen. He wondered briefly if he'd said something to upset her, but he didn't think he had. He shook his head and finished his waffles before he got up and cleaned the dishes. He walked down to the basement, passing their little holding room and slipping into the mini theater they'd made. He shut the door and sat down on the large couch, grabbing the remote and turning the screen on. He chose Netflix and began to search for something to watch. He just needed to find a show with characters that he could care about, so he could care less about his own life for a bit. He needed a distraction from all this shit. It had only been one day, and things were already turning into chaos.

Aubree roamed throuhout the house, trying to figure out what lead to where and who's room was who's. But that part wasn't very hard to figure out since each door had elegant gold cursive on the doors of the name it belonged to. Aubree looked up and down the hallway to see if anyone was coming before she knocked softly on Matt's bedroom door, smirking when he didn't answer. She slowly made her way in there, closing the door behind her as she looked around. It was stunning. Not what she was expecting at all from him. There was cream colored plush carpet under her feet, tan colored walls. Light blue bed set adorning the four poster bed that looked like it was made out of some weird white logs. Aubree walked over the the French doors over to the left side of the room, opening them and smiling as a breeze blew in and made the white sheer curtains blow in the wind. This guy had super nice taste for some wolf. He was also a lot cleaner that she had expected. She had no idea why. She left the door open and went over to his dresser, beginning to sniff all of his colognes. She began tossing all of the ones she didn't like off the balcony window, deciding that he definitely didn't need them. If he was going to be her husband, than he should smell the way she wanted him to.

  • Matt ended up dozing off halfway through the movie he had picked, just kind of mentally exhausted right now. It didn't take much for him to get overworked about things, so this was definitely making him tired. He woke up when the door opened, groaning and looking over to see Johnny standing there. He yawned as he sat up, tossing the remote to the shorter man. "Here, it's yours," he said. He walked out of the room and shut the door behind himself, heading up to his room so he could lay in bed and just relax. But when he came in, he was surprised to find Aubree inside. His eyes widened when he saw her throwing things off his balcony. "Hey!" he hissed, walking over and grabbing her arm roughly. "What the fuck are you doing?"

Aubree's eyes widened when Matt grabbed her arm, cursing herself for getting caught. "Your cologne selection sucks, but I'm actually rather fond of this one," she said, holding up an old bottle that was covered in dust. Obviously he hadn't touched it in god only knows how long. "You should wear it more often. If we're going to be married, after all, you should please your wife," she said with a small wink, spritzing him with some of the cologne before yanking her arm out of his grip. Jesus he was strong. If she didn't have bruises from that she'd be shocked. Aubree set the cologne back on the dresser, plopping down on his bed. "Oh man, this feels like a dream," she said, streatching out. "You actually have a really nice room, I'm surprised," she said, looking up at the ceiling. When Aubree got bored she ended up causing trouble for herself. She just didn't know what else to do in her spare time, knit a scarf?

  • Matt sneezed when she sprayed the cologne at him. He backed away and covered his nose as he sneezed again. "Because I'm allergic to that one!" he hissed, coughing and sneezing. He'd had a severe allergic reaction the last time he used it, and he'd never thrown it away because he'd been meaning to give it to someone and just hadn't found the time to. He watched her plop down on his bed as he continued to sneeze, really just wanting to slap the shit out of her right now. He thought things were going well, but apparently he'd been wrong. Again. He gasped as he felt his airway start to constrict, trying to take deep breaths. "B-Brian," he choked out. He needed Brian to come heal him. He fell onto the floor, sneezing and coughing.

Aubree raised a brow, sitting up on his bed and watching him search for Brian. She sighed, shaking her head. She channeled the wind, making a forceful blow go through Matt's lungs and open his airways. She made some plants grow up to the balcony, grabbing them before crushing them in her hand and going over to Matt, shoving them in his mouth. "There you go, my apologies," she said, hoping the fact that she healed him would make up the fact that she just tried to kill him. She thought maybe it was his fathers cologne or something with how old the bottle looked. It was just weird. Aubree went back into his room, grabbing the bottle and throwing it over the balcony. "Welp, another one down," she said, shaking her head. That meant there was only one left, but that was okay because secretly that one was really her favorite.

  • Matt panted as he pulled himself up, glaring at her. "Out!" he yelled, grabbing her arm and dragging her downstairs. He opened the front door and shoved her out. "Get the fuck away from here and don't fucking come back!" He slammed the door in her face and went upstairs to her room, grabbing her duffel bag and tossing it over the balcony down onto the ground. He was about ready to murder someone. He paced back and forth, growling lowly. His eyes turned a bright shade of yellow as he transformed, his anger taking over. He jumped off the balcony and tackled Aubree to the ground, snarling and barking as he bit her arm, digging his teeth in.

Aubree gasped when Matt grabbed her arm and yanked her down the stairs, grunting as he shoved her outside. She frowned, kind of confused. "I try to fix my mistake and help you and this is the thanks I get?" She shouted, kicking the door. She grabbed her duffle bag when he threw it down, tossing it over her shoulder and deciding to just go on her merry way. She didn't want to be there anyway, she was perfectly capable of taking care of herself. The next thing she knew, she was on the ground and being snarled at. She looked into the glowing eyes of what she knew was Matt's wolf, now knowing just how pissed off she made him. She opened her mouth to speak, but screamed out in pain instead as he bit into her arm. She pushed and kicked at him, but that only made his grip tighter. Aubree started getting angry, her own eyes beginning to glow. She made roots come up out of the ground around them, wind coming from all directions as a storm started to brew. "Let go!" She screamed, the roots wrapping around him and yanking him off of her, taking s pretty good size chunk out of her arm with him. "Jesus Christ, what is wrong with you? All I did was try to fix my mistake and try and help you! I'm sorry! I can't and I won't apologize for the way I am. If you just walked a day in my shoes you'd understand why I've build so many walls and do and say what I do," she said as she began to cry, the rain beginning to fall rapidly from the sky. She didn't know why she ever thought she could fit in here. It was only her first full day here and she fucked up royally enough to get kicked out and a huge chunk out of her arm. Aubree shook her head, grabbing her duffle bag and heading towards the woods. He didn't want to be there anymore.

  • Matt growled, and snarled, snapping at the air as he watched her walk away. When he vines finally let go of him, he ran into the woods after her, not done with her. Right now, he wasn't in his own mind. All he could think about was killing something, and she just so happened to be the target. If he was in his right mind, he would never have hurt her like that. He followed her scent until he spotted her, growling lowly as he hunkered down. He leaped towards her and came bounding behind her, knocking her over onto the ground and slashing her across the stomach, tearing her shirt open. He bit down on her shoulder and shook her body, grunting when he felt something stick into his hip. He let go of Aubree and backed away, swaying a bit. He whimpered as he fell to the ground, passing out.

Jimmy rushed over, followed by the rest of the guys. He dropped the tranquilizer gun and knelt down beside Aubree. "You're gonna be okay," he said, quickly calling Brian over so he could heal the girl. Sadly, this wasn't the first time they'd had to tranquilize Matt for being vicious.

Aubree thought she was fine and that Matt was going to calm down at some point so she could go back. They were eventually going to be under attack st some point and the last thing she wanted was to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. Audrey slowed down when she heard something strange, the rain finally stopping so she could hear better. She gasped as she was knocked to the ground, crying out in pain as she felt a sharp paint shoot through her stomach, making it hard to breathe. Everything was happening so fast she never got the chance to realize the IT was Matt. When he bit her shoulder, she screamed. She screamed so loud that it burned. Tears began rolling down her face and the rain began to pour down harder, the winds picking up. At some point the mauling stopped and someone was telling her that it was going to be okay, but from using so much of her power, the pain, and having so much blood loss, she ended up passing out.
