Make Me Like You

Jimmy let Brian heal Aubree before he lifted her up into his arms. Zacky, Brian and Johnny carried Matt back to the house while Jimmy carried Aubree back, not worried about her bag right now. He was worried about making sure she was okay. He looked up when the rain stopped again as they walked out of the woods. It was beginning to dawn on him that Aubree might be controlling the weather. And if she was, then she was a lot more powerful than they thought she was. There was something to this girl that they didn't know about. Maybe something she didn't even know about. He carried her into her room and gently laid her down on her bed, staying in there with her until she woke up.

Aubree slept for a long time, not waking up until sometime in the middle of th night. She groaned, stretching her arms above her head and wincing at how sore she was. She furrowed her brow, sitting up in her bed and looking around her room. "Jimmy?" She murmured, scratching the back of her neck. Aubree thought for a moment, gasping when she realized what happened. Matt attacked her. Like, really really attacked her. Aubree didn't know if she felt safe here anymore. "I want to go home," she said, not wanting to cry again in fear that she might end up making it rain. She needed to get control of her powers. Whatever they were. Aubree didn't even know where her phone was to call her father, she hadn't seen it since she got here. But she knew one thing, she would use any phone she could get her hands on to make sure she got back to her father and away from this place.

"Hey, I'm right here," Jimmy said, reaching over and gently touching her hand. "You're safe here, Aubree. I know you don't feel like it, but you are. Everyone is keeping an eye on Matt. He's locked up in the basement, and there's no way he can hurt you." He stood up, sighing softly. "I know you must be feeling sore. Let me get you some water and some pain meds. Just relax." He walked downstairs to the kitchen, grabbing some painkillers and a glass of ice water for Aubree. He went back upstairs to her room, breathing a small sigh of relief when he saw she was still sitting there. He placed the pills in her hand and then handed her the glass of water. "There you go."

Aubree took the pills and the water from him, thanking him softly. She took the pills and drank the water, setting the glass on her bed side table. "All I did was try to help him. I did help him. He didn't have to go after me. I just... ugh, I don't get it," she grumbled, laying back in her bed and throwing the covers over her head. She hoped Matt stayed down in the basement forever. He didn't deserve to be let out. Aubree would never understand why she had to marry him. For what purpose she will never know. Was it because he was alpha? He was a terrible one if that was the case. He had no patient and the anger of Satan.

Jimmy shook his head. "I don't know what happened, but you had to have done something to piss him off," he said. "He's very calm unless you really piss him off. So, no offense, but I don't think you're all that innocent." He sighed as he sat back. "I've seen the way you've been acting around him. You've been acting like a kid, you know. Like a spoiled brat. I don't know much about you, but I do know that you're not a kid anymore. You're an adult. And you should start acting like one. I know your father sheltered you your whole life, but that's no reason to act the way you do. Quit acting dumber than you really are."

Aubree raised a brow, giggling a bit. "Yeah, I'm not innocent by any means. I've apologized for that countless times. I don't know anything than what I am. I've been this way my entire life. I don't know anything about my powers or how to interact with people without being a childish sarcastic bitch. How was I supposed to know he was going to go all Incredible Hulk on me and tear me a new one?" She said, shrugging. Well she can't say she that, she totally had a feeling that he was going to get fed up with her sooner or later. But honestly she didn't care. Aubree hated being someone's problem. That's all she was, was a problem for them. She could try working on herself, but how was she supposed to learn if she couldn't or didn't even know how to ask for help.

"Well, first we need to get Matt calm again, which might take a while. Once he gets like that, it takes a few days at least to get him back to normal," Jimmy said. "And in the meantime, we can try and figure out more about your powers. I know someone who could help you, and then I could hire a PI to maybe dig into your history, see what your father has hidden from you. That is, if you would be interested." He knew there was more to her than they knew. Nobody could control weather like that. So there was something bigger going on here that they didn't know about. And he kind of wanted to get to the bottom of it, whether she really wanted to or not.

Aubree was surprised that it took so long for him to calm down. Maybe if he didn't have such anger issues then they wouldn't have a problem. Aubree shook her head, trying not to think about that. She bit down on her bottom lip as she looked over at Jimmy, sighing softly. She nodded in agreement, running her fingers through her hair. "We can do that. I don't know anything about anything," she said, rubbing her face. "I would really like to work on myself, too. So help would greatly be appreciated, thank you." Aubree couldn't thank him enough for everything he was willing to do. She didn't know why it was so much easier to be nice to him than it was to Matt. Jimmy just hadn't a much more calmer and friendlier air around him

Jimmy nodded his head and stood up. "No problem," he said. "And just to tell you, again, you're safe here. We would have gotten to Matt sooner before he hurt you, but I misplaced the tranquilizer darts and I had to find them." He reached over and gently patted her shoulder. "Make yourself at home. You know where the kitchen is. And I would probably shower if I were you. You've got mud in your hair." He smiled at her before leaving the room, shutting the door behind him. He grabbed a blanket and went downstairs for his Matt-watching shift so that Brian could get some rest. He knew his brown-eyed friend was exhausted from all the healing he'd done that day, and he needed to recuperate.

[next day]
Aubree woke up with a groan, still kind of still but feeling loads better than what she had last night. The skin that Brian had healed was still pretty tender but her muscles weren't as sore. She rolled out of bed, changing into some random comfy clothes and putting her hair in a messy bun before she ventured out of her room and went down to the kitchen. When she entered, she wanted to back right out when she saw Val standing there having a very heated conversation about Matt with Zacky. "How could you let that little skank do that to him!" She seethed, looking like she was about to turn into a wolf herself. Zacky was trying to calm her down, so before anyone could notice, Aubree turned around and tip tied right back out of that kitchen before she could really get herself killed. Since Aubree was the trouble maker that she was, and she technically hadn't started getting any "help" yet, she was going to go looking for Matt. She went down a series of halls before she finally found a metal door leading to the basement, hearing faint howl coming from the door. She opened it when a grunt, slipping past the door and making her way down there. She found Matt in some weird cage, raising a brow and crossing her arms over her chest. She was surprised that no one was down here watching him. Maybe it was supposed to be Zacky. "Are you having fun down here? You should totally change back so you can come play with me," she said with a smirk, wiggling her eyebrows as she leaned up against the wall furthest from him.

Matt watched Aubree, snarling and jumping at the cage, rattling he bars. He shoved his snout between the bars and barked at her, wanting to take another bite out of her arm. He was still in a state of rage, and all he could see was red. He was mad at everyone right now, not just Aubree. But he was starting to grow weaker since the guys weren't feeding him. That's how they got him to calm back down usually. They didn't feed him so he would get weak, and then once he was weak enough, he would finally transform back into his human form, where he would be in his own mind again, and be able to be set free. He growled as he walked back and forth, his head low and his tail low, ready to attack anything that came near the cage. He bent down and scratched at the floor before he snarled at her again, daring her to mess with him.

"You sure are a pretty wolf," Aubree said, tilting her head to the side to the side. "Too had my blood is all over your snout." She sighed, shaking her head. "I'm sorry for pissing you off to the point of no return. Didn't think it would go that far," she said, frowning. "Can you even understand me? I don't even know." She through her hands up in the air, shaking her head. "Your mate thing is upstairs having a major fit about this. I think she wants to really kill me. I know you would love that and as much as sometimes I think I would do, I don't really want to die," she said, rubbing her face. Aubree just kind of stared at him, thinking to herself that she caused this. She made him get so mad that he trapped himself in his wolf form and couldn't change back for several days. What a piece of shit she was for that. Which makes her wonder, did they only change when they were pissed the hell off?

When Jimmy spotted Zacky in the kitchen with Val, he knew that Matt was alone. And if he was alone for too long, he'd find some way out of his cage. He went down to the basement, stopping when he saw Aubree down the stairs. He walked down them and grabbed her hand. "Hey, what are you doing in here?" he asked. "You shouldn't be down here. Not alone, at least. You really don't know what he's capable of right now." He glanced over at Matt, who was clearly still agitated. He figured that Aubree must have slipped past Val and Zacky to get down here, so she was probably avoiding the blonde. "Come on." He pulled her back upstairs, stopping by the kitchen and listening. He backed up when Val stormed out, heading to the front door, throwing it open and slamming it shut behind her. "Jesus, someone's on the rag," he muttered, rolling his eyes.

Aubree poured a bit when Jimmy pulled her back upstairs. It wasn't like she was really getting anywhere with Matt anyways. She raised s brow as she watched Val storm out, sighing heavily. She wasn't sure if she should be happy with the mess she's made or not. Usually she was pretty happy whenever she caused a bunch of trouble at home, but right now it just felt completely different. "So what's on the agenda for today?" She asked Jimmy, making her way into the kitchen to finally get herself some breakfast. She got herself a glass of apple juice and a bowl of cereal, sitting at the counter and beginning to eat happily. She was starving. She didn't realize just how hungry she was until she started eating.

"I called my friend up, and she's gonna come teach you all she knows about your kind," Jimmy said, smiling brightly at her. "Her name is Francine and she's an elder witch. So, I know you like messing around, and that's fine. But when she's here, you need to show her your utmost respect. She's been around for a long time, and she's been through a lot. She took me in when my parents kicked me out. She gave me a roof to live under and food to keep me healthy while I tried to get back on my own feet. She's really sweet. You just have to have patience, okay? And I'm also trying to find someone I can send to go investigate your dad. But nobody wants to touch Samuel Julius. He's a powerful man. Hopefully I can find someone. You deserve to know the truth."

Aubree nodded, totally understanding. She wasn't going to mess with someone or something she knew absolutely nothing about. She kind of learned her lesson with Matt on that. Plus, Jimmy was helping her so much right now, she didn't want to piss him off too. He was the only one giving her a chance right now. "An elder witch? My dad had one come visit me before for something when I was little. Man, was that scary. All I remember was her saying a bunch of weird shit to me, then feeling a bunch of pain and then that was it," she said with a shake of her head. Her father had a bunch of odd people come visit her through her life. She never understood what they wanted. A lot of the men tried to put the moves on her, which resulted in them being suffocated by a plant. All Aubree knew how to do up until she came her as control plants, since that was all she was really around. Potted plants.

Jimmy's brows furrowed. "That's odd," he said. "Do you remember maybe some of what she said? If you do, you should ask Francine. I'm sure she'll know what you're talking about, and she can tell you what that witch was doing to you." He opened the fridge and took out a jar of pickles, popping the lid and reaching in for one. He took it out and bit the tip off, looking over when Johnny walked into the kitchen. He smirked as he started to suck the juice out of the pickle, keeping his eyes on the shorter man the whole time. Johnny just blushed and quickly left the kitchen, making Jimmy laugh to himself. He took another bite of the pickle, glancing over at Aubree. He smiled sheepishly. "Sorry. Everyone knows he likes me, but he won't say anything to me, so I tease the hell out of him."

Aubree furrowed her brow, sighing softly. She probably wouldn't know in a million years what the hell that witch had been saying to her. She could try her hardest but there was no garentee that she could come up with anything. Aubree blinked as she watched Jimmy suck on that pickle in the most sexual way as he watched someone, turning in her seat and seeing Johnny in the doorway. Oh, okay. Well she never would have guess that they batted for the other team. "Aw, that's cute. That's how Matt's going to be with me one day," she said, kind of jokingly as she wiggled her brows. She couldn't say that she wasn't going to have him begging for her at one point in the future, but she wasn't going to be serious about it either.

Jimmy snorted. "Good luck with that," he said. "Matt has never been that way. Not even with Val. You know, he's pretty reserved. I don't know if it's because of what happened to his dad or if there's some other reason, but that's just the way he is. Also, why he loses his patience easily." He shrugged his shoulders as he finished off his pickle and put the jar back in the fridge. He turned to look at her. "I'm sure you'll find some way to open him up, though. Maybe. I dunno. I figure if he won't open up for us, then he's probably not going to open up for anyone." He looked over when the doorbell rang, grinning. "That must be Francine, come on."

Aubree shrugged. She was just joking. She didn't really care if he opened up to her or not. She followed Jimmy to the door, sighing softly and crossing her arms over her chest. She was kind of nervous but she figured that was to be expected. This women was supposed to figured out what she was and help her out with a bunch of crap she forgot because she wasn't exactly listening. When Jimmy opened the door, a really gorgeous women stepped through and smiled at them. That totally wasn't what she was expecting. She was expecting an old hag in black cloaks that looked like something from Snow White, now some gorgeous Blonde Bombshell.
