I've finally set up the story page for my story.

And I also have my NaNo log up.

I'm planning on just writing as much raw material and eventually creating the entire world around it. I do plan on getting this idea published someday. I really love the concept of the main character and his role in the story.

I'll try and update chapters as I go, but most of my word count might be in Microsoft Word, mostly because the sheer lack of planning and winging it that this story is. And as I've mentioned, the final edited drafts all most likely not end up being posted so I can save them to be published someday!

    Oh, P.S.! I was ultear !

CLUB OF LAZY PEOPLE COMING RIGHT UP. lmfao Yeah, I'm exactly the same, I just tend to wing it rather than planning everything out. I think this year I might do a rough plan for chapters so I know exactly what's happening, because if I don't then I'm going to end up in serious trouble again and probably not get very far as per usual. I'm debating bringing a second story in for the word count, but I have that fear that I'll not bother with it.

I BELIEVE IN YOU TOO, WE CAN DO THIS~

    Also, added your log. tehe

    Got you both added! tehe

Your story looks so good, oh man. Can't wait for it! I've added that and your log to the first page (and changed your username) Cute

My story will probably end up being a lot of winging it as well, I wouldn't worry. tehe You can join me and Fae in the people-who-don't-plan-enough group. lmfao

YOU CAN BE PRESIDENT, BUT I CALL VP lmfao I always think I have it under control, until it's November and I'm just winging my way through the entire thing to the point of a meltdown, no big deal. Maybe I should try sketching out a rough outline too, if not just to keep me on track. I have more details this year than I did last year (because lol I came up with the plot pretty much overnight oops), but I still don't have the details, you know? I swear, if I have another year where I scrap 50k words, I'm gonna retire in writing. lmfao

YES, JOIN US. ~~ We'll support each other through this Winging-It process.

Also, Vic is right, your story does look so good. Gimmeee. Weird

COOL LET'S DO THIS, HA. lmfao Yeah, I'm also the same. I think I'm ready and then I nose-dive halfway through the first week. I have very little in the way of details for my story, which is what's worrying me. I know the vague idea but I don't actually know how I'm ending it and what I'm putting in the middle to flesh it out. Honestly, I was just watching way too many documentaries about Poland when I came up with it so I'm going to have to do some serious research as well. I'll retire alongside you because this is my sixth year and I don't think I've ever managed to pass 10k so if I don't do it this year, I'm never gonna do it. Facepalm

I think I'm gonna spend today totally fleshing out the plot and the characters so that I'm ready for Tuesday. I didn't even realise that it started on Tuesday until I sat down this morning and remembered I get paid on Monday. Gonna stock up on caffeine and loads of snacks so I can be prepared. Weird

Oh man, thanks guys! I've done so minimal planning, it might be a disaster of inconsistencies and details forgotten, but truthfully, just knowing I'm not the only one who has no idea where this might take me is, reassuring. XD Good luck to both of you in this, though! I'll have to keep checking in to see how you guys are going with it Mr. Green

Only 4 days left in October and I still have zero idea how my story is going to play out! My only days off/time to really plan is Friday and Halloween!!! I really want to do something outside of my comfort zone but I worry it'll back fire on me!!!

It's almost like... I have the bones, the skeleton of the thing, but I have no idea how to add all that other stuff to "flesh" it out, to turn it into something that can actually be a book. I've actually scrapped about 150k now, from all my previous NaNo's because I mess it up so bad and yet I continue to dig my grave. And like I said earlier, I also am so guilty of doing all these word tricks and dragging out descriptions and whatnot to fill out the word count so I end up with a lot of things that I would never write normally. lmfao If I don't keep at least 20k of the crap I write this year, I'm never doing NaNo again because omg. Facepalm We'll be the club of the Retired NaNo Procrastinators.

Oh god, you reminded me that it's on Tuesday too. The worst part about this is that I have so much studying to do on top of this that the app I use, Cold Turkey, is just going to be on for like 10 hours a day. 5 hours for studying, 5 hours for writing because I get distracted by every little thing!! ! Don WHY DO WE DO THIS TO OURSELVES?
    @ zeref
That is literally how I've done every NaNo since I started doing it. I didn't actually start winning until I did the reverse NaNo method, but I always just end up with inconsistencies and gaping plot holes and I have to make a reference guide for myself to remember terms and characters. Facepalm So no, you are definitely not alone. Good luck to you too! tehe
    @ grotesque bones.
I wish you the best of luck!! I know how nerve-racking it can be to go out of your comfort zone and also have nothing planned all the same so good luck and I hope you make some progress in planning when you can~

I've seen some stuff about that method, but I'll probably (hopefully) just end up doing like 2/3k words a day the entire month. If my story has any major inconsistencies, I'll try and fix them, but I probably do need to keep a whole document of names, territories, terminologies, etc.. But thanks!
As a general post to all nano writers, I'm always available for some brainstorming for any stories involving war or fantasy! Those are my two main genres, so feel free to talk to me about your story involving those things. Mr. Green

Has anyone ever thought of doing reverse NaNo? I just remembered that I start classes the 14th of next month and I might do it backwards. I feel like that might be able to help me out a lot.

I've done virtually nothing for planning, so I'm pretty much stuck when it comes to tomorrow. I've decided to write between two stories now though, so maybe that'll help me hit the target. tehe Besides, we all have December to work out inconsistencies and everything. Who needs planning? XD

    @ jesper fahey
I'm the same, it's like... I write short and if I write longer then I end up totally fucking everything up. It freaked me out so much that I'm now going for 2 stories. lmfao I always end up scrapping the stories altogether so my plan this year is to not scrap the story and just go for it. If I can't find some good in whatever I'm writing, then I'll stop. Facepalm

IT'S TOMORROW NOW AND I'M STILL NO FURTHER FORWARD. Crazy I'm doing it during a busy period at work and I honestly think maybe I messed up by thinking I'd have time this year. The things I do. Facepalm

    @ Gronk
    Log updated. tehe
So I've made a decision to split my word count between two stories, mainly because I'm paranoid and I think I could probably write twice as much if I focus on two. Also, I watched Enemy at the Gates and now I fancy Jude Law I wanted to write a story about a wartime sniper. My second story is Don't Blink, Deadeye.
