you know those people that wait until 11:59 halloween night to decide they're doing nano? :)

had i been home, that would be me, but courtesy of me being in another state for the next day or two, everything's an hour back and i'm watching the clock and also preparing to throw myself off a cliff because you know why. it's nano time and as of 11:25 pm i've decided to do it.

i'm gonna do a fanfic — big surprise — and am using nano as an excuse to make a butt load of progress on it because i really like it and would hate to let it fall away from me. (it's duplicity, by the by. )

my nano profile is here! it looks really empty because i made it last year and forgot about it and only got back in this year because my phone remembered its password.

i'm sensing a little panic in this thread. ...most of it is mine. :-)

I got a few words down (186) which is a good start. My goal for today is to aim for 2500 words. 4000 if I'm feeling good about it. buuut it's nearly 2 am and I gotta be up at 8 for the gym. I can't wait to work on my story more though.

I've decided to enter this year with a whole 30 minutes before it actually starts in my time zone. I've been doing this for four years straight and yet I'm still such a mess with it. I'm sure everything will go fine.

I actually picked the worst year to give this another go again. All my weekends are fully booked. I'll be leaving for New York in the last week of November, which means I'm going to miss out on an ENTIRE week of writing. God help me.

So I was gonna start at midnight, but after work and waiting for my sister, I just about passed out after I got home, lol. I started this morning and actually have been pretty productive. I'm doing the reverse nanowrimo, so hopefully I'll finish this time.

Literally the only time I had to write today was at midnight this morning. Since then I've been running around with my head chopped off. Not how I wanted to begin NaNo.

Well, I've managed to write 2k words, I'd say that was a good start!

I was extremely freaked out about writing the first chapter/the beginning, but once I figured out how to start, the words just came to me, and I got 2117 words down! I'm so proud of myself, because this is the most I've written for one story in a while. This was definitely a good first day!

And my cats left me alone up until now. Now they're flocking to me.

everyone writing 2k words and I've only written about 200. what a great day i'm having.

Don't worry! It's only the first day

I totally forgot about this until a few days ago. Since I didn't finish my novel last year, I'm probably going to work on that this year, as well as other story that's been brewing in my mind for a while. We'll see if I can get further than I did last year and the year before and the year before.
