Brian kept pushing himself harder and harder as he ran, something he did on the daily now. Ever since his daughter, Molly, started her process of going through the change sometimes Brian just needed time to get out of that damn house. Not to mention that Matt was their constantly trying to bug the shit out of Molly to try and convince her that she needed to be his mate, which was just making it ten times more harder for the poor girl. Then there was Grace who was constantly stopping by for god only knows what at all hours every day. Not that he really minded, because Grace was one of his best friends and he's helped him out so much over the years. Brian couldn't deny the feelings that he had for that woman, even though having feelings for a human was completely taboo. Brian was a werewolf. Humans and werewolves just weren't supposed to mix, that just wasn't a fhing. But Brian sometimes wished he could make it a thing. He groaned and sighed heavily as he jogged across the backyard, leaving the woods. He went up the back porch stairs, panting softly as he went inside to get a bottle of water. He saw Molly sitting at the table doing what looked like homework, Matt staring at her with the most pissed odd expression ever. Brian rolled his eyes and shook his head, nod even bothering with it this morning. He grabbed a water from the fridge, opening it and taking a long, satisfying drink.
Molly had gotten up in such a great mood this morning. Do you think it could have stayed that way? Hell no. Matt was here bright and early just to irritate her, thinking that was going to make this whole mating thing less awkward. my birthday was in less than a month and I needed to hurry up and accept the fact that Matt was going fine my mate whether I liked it or not. It was just so awkward and nasty to think about someone you've grown up with that you considered as your uncle is now someone you needed to consider sexually attractive and so on. "You're pissinc me off watching me like that," she grumbled, trying to finish the last bit of homework that she had. They had already gotten into it this morning and Molly didn't feel like getting into it again but she gladly would if he didn't stop looking at her like that. "Dad, Matt won't stop looking at me," she whined, looking over at her father who just looked st her and shrugged. He never did anything. As if on que, grace came through the front door. "Oh thank god," Molly murmured in relief. She loved it when Grace came over. Sometimes there was just way too much testosterone.

Matt knew that his staring was pissing Molly off, which is the sole reason why he continued to stare at her as she did her homework. They already had no argument that morning, and it wouldn’t be the last argument that they had that day. It seemed like all they did now was piss each other off, he had no idea why because they had once been close. He understood that he must be awkward for Molly, he was her uncle and now they were going to be mates once she turned eighteen which wasn’t far away. But it was something she’d need to deal with and stop complaining about it, no one could do anything to change it as what the council said always goes. “Why would I stop? I know how much it’s irritating you,” He spoke with smugness in his tone, he could smell the annoyance surrounding her womanly body.

Molly had blossomed into a fine young lady, it was her sixteenth birthday when her hips widened and her breasts suddenly grew. Then her scent also began to change as her body went into her first heat, her body was preparing herself for her next birthday when she finished her werewolf transformation. “You’re nearly eighteen darling, can’t keep running to your father.” He knew that Brian was growing tired of all of this, all the bickering and yelling that happened under his roof. He was honestly surprised Brian hadn’t kicked him out of his house yet, not that it would stop him from coming around to see his future mate. Sighing he leaned back in the chair he was sitting on, he glanced over to the blonde who had arrived.
Grace was in a foul mood as she parked her old shitty car in the driveway of the Haner household, she had an awful shift at the bar she worked at. She wanted to quit her job but she needed the money, she always got a lot in tips from all the sleazy men that drank there. She didn’t bother knocking on the front door, she just walked in like she always does. She put a smile on her face to mask how she was feeling, she knew Molly was going through a lot with Matt right now and it appeared like her being there took Molly’s mind off of what would happened after she had her next birthday. “Again?” She asked looking at her best friend who nodded her head, “Don’t you have something better to do Matthew? Like lick your fur clean or piss on a tree,” She commented knowing he tended to back off slightly when she was around Molly, she wasn’t sure why but it was probably because she was human.

She usually forgot that the people she saw as family were all werewolves, she knew she shouldn’t be around them constantly because it wasn’t how the two species were meant to be like. But it was different for her, werewolves saved her life. Brian saved her in the car crash that she refused to ever think about and remember. She glanced over to where Brian was standing in the kitchen, “Have a nice run?” She asked him not understanding why he always ran through the forest, she guessed it was to get some time away from what was always going on in his home.

Brian watched his daughter and his best friend sitting at his kitchen table, chewing the inside of his cheek as he thought. His baby girl was going to be eighteen soon. She was going to have her ceremony and complete her full transformation. Matt was going to be the one by her side the whole time she went through the painful process, not him. She was going to complete the mating ritual and eventually leave to go stay with Matt and have pups. It was honestly too much to bare when he thought about it, especially when he saw the way she acted towards Matt and how terrified she looked whenever the subject was brought up. All Brian ever wanted to do was protect his daughter from the dangers of the world and tell her that everything was going to be alright, but he couldn't protect her from this. He wished that his best friend wasn't his daughters birth mate, but there was nothing he could do about it. Brian should have kept it in his pants at such a young age so that someday Molly could have had the mother she needed growing up. But since Brian had to go get Molly's mother knocked up before eighteen, she got ran out of the pack by her friends and family until either her or the others couldn't run anymore. Brian never found out if she ever survived it or not.

Brian looked up when he heard the front door open and close, by the way they walked he knew exactly who it was. A small smile formed on his lips just by the thought of her. Grace was a human, but a special hunan. Brian had been on a run one day to blow off some steam from the stress of being a father to a new born and he noticed a crash an the sounds of a little girl crying. So of course he had to help and safe her. Unfortunately he couldn't save her parents but he was able to save her. So Brian's parents took her in and well, it went from there. Grace was probably old enough to be his little sister and young enough to be Molly's big sister. Which was an odd thing to think about. "I did have a nice run, thanks for asking. Why the fake smile?" He asked, raising a brow as he noticed she had one of her obvious forced smiles on her face.
Molly almost crushed her pencil in her hand, ready to reach other and just stab him in the eye with it. Sometimes she just couldn't believe that this was the man that she used to play dress up with, have tea parties, build blanket forts and play prince and princess. Molly missed that desperately. She wanted to turn back time and just not have to think about what she had to do in such a short amount of time. She knew that eventually her feelings for him were going to alter, they were already beginning to. That was probably why she was so angry all the time. Plus she was having major mood swings and vomiting uncontrollably every morning from her body beginning to change more and more as she got closer to her birthday. Unfortunately since her parents had to have her so young, she had some pretty fucked up birth defects when it came to her transformation. That's why it was pretty much werewolf law that you couldn't have babies until you were eighteen and mated. Molly was going through hell every day with a new problem arising just because of it.

She heard the front door open, the familiar comforting footsteps entering her house. She let out a relieved sigh as she looked up at Grace, smiling. Molly couldn't help but snort out a laugh when Grace told Matt to go lick himself and piss on a tree, her laughter ending when Matt growled at her. That was it, code red in the Haner household. Matt pissed off the wrong hormonal Molly this morning. She shot up out of her chair, pencil in hand, and she shoved it so deep into his bicep she wasn't sure if it was going to be able to come out without cutting it. The only reason she could actually get away with that was because of werewolves epic healing powers and the fact that Matt wouldn't dare do anything back to her. "You're such a fucking dick, I hope that teaches you that eventually you're going to be my bitch, Sanders," she spat, gathering her books and storming up to her room. Molly could dream but he'd never be her bitch. That's just not how things worked.

Matt rolled his eyes at Grace’s comment, it was normal for them to bicker or be smart mouthed with each other. Grace got along with everyone in the pack, Matt saw her as a sister and they acted like siblings. He sent her a growl as he didn’t think anyone would care, but apparently Molly was in a shitty mood again. He glanced in her direction when the chair slid back against the wooden floor and made a painfully loud noise, he had been expecting her to yell at him as she normally did. But then he felt a stinging pain in his bicep, he grunted as he looked down only to see a pencil sticking out of his arms. Anger bubbled in his stomach as Molly stormed upstairs to her room, if she thought for even a second that he would ever be her bitch then she had another thing coming. He grabbed the pencil and easily pulled it out, dropping the bloody pencil onto the table he stood up from his chair. His arm was already beginning to heal as his heavy footsteps followed the teenager, a frown on his face as he opened the door to Molly’s bedroom and this time he didn’t bother knocking.

“You are horribly wrong, little girl. You will become my bitch, technically you have been since you were born. You think I wanted this? To have my best friend’s daughter as my mate?” He growled at her as his eyes narrowed as he looked at her, “I’ve had seventeen years to come to terms with this. But you know what, nothing can change this. You think Brian and I didn’t try? We begged the council to pick another mate for us both, but you know how they are.” He snapped at her, he was angry that she had stabbed him with a fucking pencil. But he wouldn’t dream of laying a hand on her, not in that way at least. Because once she was eighteen then his hands would be all over her body, touching her in ways she could only dream about.
“What do you mean?” Grace decided she would try and play dumb, it never worked when she was with Brian but it didn’t stop her from trying. Glancing over she watched as both Matt and Molly stormed upstairs, she was about to follow knowing Molly wouldn’t want to see Matt right now but Brian stopped her. They knew Molly would need to learn how to get along with Matt again, but Grace just worried about Molly. She noticed the look he was giving her, he knew she was keeping something from him and she was. But she couldn’t tell him, he would lose it completely. “I just had a long shift last night, we had a group of men in celebrating a buck’s night.” She told him honestly, although she hated the way they spoke to her during the hours they were there. They gave her lots of tips, in fact she received a few hundred dollars from them because they were all so drunk and kept tucking money into the top of her shorts.

But she wasn’t going to tell him what happened after that when she got home to her shitty little broken apartment, Brian loathed the guy Grace was dating even though they had only met once. She walked to the fridge and pulled out a bottle of water for herself, “Do you think those two will ever stop this?” She changed the subject onto Molly and Matt, “I wouldn’t complain if I had someone who loved me unconditionally and wanted to be with me.” As she spoke she didn’t realise that the sleeve of her t-shirt had moved high enough that the discoloured skin of her bicep showed, the dark purple of a forming bruise that now tainted her milky skin.

Brian pinched the bridge of his nose as he tired his hardest to ignore Matt and Molly. He heard the chair squeak and he looked up, his eyes wide as he saw Molly shove a pencil into Matt's arm. "Molly Marie, you know better!" He yelled, wincing when Matt stormed after her. The faster her birthday approached the more his role of a father got taken away and Matt's dominating instinct over her took over and he almost acted like the father. Eventually Brian knew he wasn't going to be able to do anything anymore. Brian looked over at Grace as she started talking, making a small face as she talked about her rough night at work. He didn't really like her job but it was a way for her to make money. Brian had always suggested for her to work for him in some way, since he was pack leader it came with one of the perks of having a pretty decent amount of money, if you could call it that. It was enough for generations to be set for life. "I bet you made out like a bandit in tips though. That's always a plus sid," he said, trying to stay positive on the matter.

Brian had conveniently glanced over as her sleeve rises up, making him catch a glimpse of the newly forming bruise. He reached over and grabbed her arm, pulling her closer to investigate. He pushed her sleeve up further, letting out a low animalistic growl as he saw the bruise. "Are there anymore?" He asked as he began pulling her shirt up in any place he can, not caring if he saw her bra or not. He's seen her in it plenty of times before. Brian was practically seething when he found a couple more bruises on her body, surprised that there weren't any on her face. "Those better be pleasure bruises Grace, or so help me, I will tear him to fucking pieces." Brian had never been of fan of her scum of a boyfriend since she had brought him over the first time she started dating him and he had asked if Brian had a dog since it smelled like wet dog in his house. The way that boy carried himself and talked just didn't set well with him at all.
Molly rolled her eyes when Matt came storming into her room. She figured that he would. She groaned and plopped down onto her bed, her head beginning to hurt. She hoped that it wasn't going to be one of those headaches that practically made her cry again. That was another birth defect. "Matthew, I get it, okay. I'm just having massive mood swings. Just shut the fuck up already," she whined, curling up into a ball and holding her head as the pain got worse. "I get you don't want to be my mate as much as I don't want to be yours. I'm trying so hard to make this work, but you've had seventeen years to deal with it. I've had two, almost three. You don't understand how awkward it is for me. I grew up with you from the time I was born. You changed my diapers. I'm having all of these mixed up weird feelings about you that I can't deal with all at once and it's so fucking i don't know," she said as she whimperd, sniffling as she held her head tighter.

A small bit of warm, sticky liquid began to run down the side of her head. Molly furrowed her brow as she reached up to wipe it away, her eyes widened when she saw blood. She shot up, stumbling to her conjoined bathroom to see what was happening. Her ears were steady draining blood mixed with something else she couldn't tell. She cried out as she felt another sharp pain in her head, falling to the floor and curling up into a ball. This had happened once before but it wasn't nearly as bad. A little bit of blood and that was it. This was a million times worse. The pack doctor gave her some medicine for the pain and sent her home. But Molly was terrified this time and Matt wasn't making anything better.

For once Matt actually listened to Molly when she told him to shut up, normally he doesn’t but it was obvious she was having another headache. Recently he started learning more about these birth defects because Molly’s were only becoming worse, he wasn’t such a horrible person that he didn’t care. It hurt him to see Molly in pain, so when she rushed into the bathroom he followed. He saw the bright red blood start to stain her olive skin, moving closer to her and kicking the door shut so they could have some privacy. He turned the taps in the shower so the cold water would run, he then removed Molly’s shirt and her pants. He left her bra and panties on as he easily lifted her body into his arms and set her in the shower, the cold water would hopefully help her headache and help the blood drain from her ears which is what he learnt needed to happen. “I know it hurts, Molly. But your stronger than this,” He softened his voice as to not make her headache any worse, he watched the water hit her and wash the blood away.

He kept his hand on her knee as she sat on the shower floor, he also read that contact could help make Molly feel better just because she wasn’t going through the pain on her own. But he stayed silent for once in his life, every now and again he would check her ears to make sure no blood had clotted as the blood needed to be drained. He was sure how long they stayed like that, but every whimper and cry that came from Molly was like a knife stabbing Matt in the gut and twisting. He had never seen the effects of having a pup under age before, but now he knew why not many werewolves had pups at a young age. Sure werewolves had sex but they had to be careful, now he truly knew why as he had seen what Molly went through because of what her parents did.
“Brian…” Grace gasped when he found more bruises on her body from her boyfriend, this is what she didn’t want to happen. Or that’s what she told herself, because it would have been easy for her to tell Brian everything and let him deal with her boyfriend. But she was also ashamed because she allowed it all to continue happening, seeing his reaction was all she needed. She didn’t have to put up with the abuse or the stealing, Brian had always promised to protect her no matter what. So as she looked into his dark eyes, she felt her bottom lip tremble as tears welled up in her eyes. “He takes all my money, I started hiding the tips I make but he found it last night… He only ever pleasures himself, I hate him.” Grace sobbed as the tears rolled down her cheeks, he had hit her a few times before and stupidly Grace blamed herself for making him angry. All she wanted was to be loved, she thought Neil did love her but she was wrong.

When they had sex, it was just that. Sex, he wasn’t making love to her and caring about what she was feeling. Neil was shit at sex, he only ever got himself off before stopping. Nothing he did felt good to Grace, the only times she feels pleasure or has an orgasm is when she does it to herself. That was something only Molly knew about, she couldn’t talk to Brian about her sex life. She launched herself into his arms, her face burying into his firm chest as her arms wrapped around his waist where she held onto him as she cried. “You were right about him, I should have listened to you… I have nothing now,” She whispered to him as she leaned into his warm body.

Brian was absolutely furious. The more she talked, the angrier he got. Brian was ready for a hunt that wasn't going to end well, one that was going to make the world minus a human. "Don't you worry, buttercup. I'm going to take care of it. You're going to stay here with me for as long as you like. I know things are a bit weird and hectic but you know Molly and I both would love for you to stay here," he said as he held her tight, comforting her. He was inhaling her scent deep, picking out different scents from different people. She hadn't showered since last night he could tell and that allowed him to easily pick up on her boyfriend's scent. That was all Brian needed to track him down. The more he thought about doing it the more excited his wolf got. "You're never going to have to deal with that lowlife piece of shit scumbag again. He's going to have to deal with me now. He messes with my family, he gets the wolf."

Brian gave Grace a small kiss on the forehead once she had calmed down, telling her to watch over the place and make sure Matt and Molly hadn't killed one another. He stormed out of the door, instantly turning into his wolf as he ran into the woods. He ran at full speed, letting out small huffs of air as his paws thumped against the Forrest floor. It wasn't long before the scent brought him behind Grace's apartment complex. Brian could see Neil outside on the little playground smoking a cigarette, why on the playground was odd. Maybe he was trying to make a drug deal. Brian got down low, waiting for the right moment before he took off towards Neil, Brian lunging right for his throat.
Molly gasped when she felt cold water begin to run down her body, opening her eyes to an blurry Matt. Usually an intense spell like this ended in her gaining something werewolf related. She panted softly as she leaned her head Against the shower wallX reaching down with a shaking hand and taking Matt's hand in hers. She swallowed the lump forming in her throat, swallowing hard to make it go away. "Make it stop, I just want it to stop," she whine, sobbing. She almost pulled Matt in there will her, but abruptly the pain stop, making Molly's eyes open wide as she looked at Maff. She was terrified that she couldn't hear anymore. But she wondered was kind of super cool werewolf thing her body had been working on this time. Last time she had a headache and vomiting, she ended up getting her amazing sense of smell. Definitely something great to get while throwing up.

Molly slowly got out of the shower, shivering from how cold she was. "Th-thank you," she said with chattering teeth. She reached for a towel, wrapping it around herself. "I don't know what would have happened if you hsdnf been here? Gosh. I don't even want to think about that." That had to had been one of the scariest experiences for her yet and she had so much more to go before her birthday. She wasn't sure that she was going to handle it. All of the other teenage wolfs just woke up one day eith them. But no, Molly had to be tortured.

Matt could only watch Molly suffer in pain, normally when she was in pain he would sing a song to her. But he couldn’t with these turns she was having as his voice would only make her headache worse, which he never wanted to do. So instead he held onto her small hand and waited, waited until she turned the shower off and stood up. He stayed close to her in case she lost her balance or the pain came back, but she still better now as she wrapped herself up in a fluffy towel. “You would have been fine, Molly. You’re a Haner, you’re strong and bloody stubborn as all hell. But… it’s getting worse each time, isn’t it?” He asked softly as he looked at her, it was a sensitive topic for her and he knew that. She never really showed anyone how much pain she went through, she would hide in her room and deal with the turns on her own. He didn’t think the pack even understood what she was going through, apart from him because he researched it all and Brian because he was her father.

He picked up the clothes off the floor and noticed a few blood stains on her shirt, so he tossed that into her washing basket and stepped back into her room. He looked through her closet and found the comfiest clothes that he could, along with a clean bra and panties that he just grabbed from the pile in her drawers. “Here… can I get you anything else? A hot drink, a cold drink, something to eat?” He offered her not really knowing what else would make her feel better, “I can rub your back.” Was that stepping over a line? He wasn’t sure, but a back rub always calmed her down when she was younger. If she was upset or sick, a back rub would always make her feel better.
“Brian… you don’t have to…” Grace couldn’t even stop him, she didn’t want to stop Brian from what she knew he was going to do. It wasn’t the first time a wolf has attacked a human and it won’t be the last time, but humans were just as bad as they hurt werewolves as well. Of course it always ended worse for the human in both situation. So Grace stood there and watched as Brian stormed out of her house, she didn’t know what to do now. She wasn’t glad that Neil was going to get a lesson, but she also wasn’t upset with Brian wanting to protect her. So she did the only thing that she could, she walked upstairs to the spare bedroom which had a connecting bathroom and took a shower. She scrubbed her body clean and washed her blonde locks, she felt so much better once she stepped out and dried herself off. She pulled her clothes back on but decided to sneak into Brian’s room and borrow one of his t-shirts, it just made her feel better and right now that’s what she needed.

After that she made herself a hot cup of tea and she sat out on the front porch, waiting for Brian to return so she could make sure he was okay. Which she knew he would be, he was a pack leader. He was the strongest in the pack, he was the bravest as well. But that wouldn’t stop Grace from feeling the need to check on him and make sure he was unharmed, Brian was known for having a temper when someone messed with his family and his pack. It was partly why no other pack tried anything, they knew if they did there would be a war between packs and that they’d most likely lose.

Brian ripped Neil to pieces, mauling him and making sure that the attack looked like a bear or some other wild animal and no one would suspect a wolf or werewolf did it. The good thing about werewolves was that their wolf's DNA didn't match their human's. They could get away with almost anything and no one would suspect a thing. Well, unless you told someone. Brian was panting heavily by the time he finished teaching Neil a lesson, though he was almost positive he was practically dead. By the time someone would find him he would be anyways. Brian wished that he could give this kid a piece of his mind but he knew that he could transform. Besides, he hand way to much blood on his face and his paws. Brian hated transforming back bloody. His wolf didn't mind the blood, it was in his nature. But Brian couldn't look at himself in the mirror like that.

He slowly made his way back to the house, trudging up the porch stairs and plopping down near Grace. No one was going to mess with her now. He was going to take care of her. She didn't need anyone but him. Brian didn't know how many times he had to convince her that until she finally realized it. She always just brushed it off like some awkward joke. Honesty Brian didn't even know what exactly he meant by that. He always knew deep down he had some sort of feelings for Grace. Matt and the guys even said so but he just didn't want to admit it to himself. He was always just so over protective of her. He let out a heavy sigh, licking his paws and trying to clean himself off before he even decided to turn back.
Molly nodded in answer to his question. The closer she got to her birthday the worse it kept getting. She didn't know what to do. She didn't want to complain and she didn't want to tell anyone how bad it was. She just needed to suck it up and get through it. She figured it would all be over eventually but it was beginning to just become plain terrifying. "I don't know what to do. I don't want to complain about it because I don't think there's anything anyone can do. It's just so scary," she said softly, quickly wiping away another tear that threatened to fall. She slowly sat down onto her bed, closing her eyes and trying to get a grip on how dizzy she was. She couldn't even stand for that long.

When Matt got her some clothes and asked her if she needed anything else, she grabbed his hand with her shaky one and pulled him over to her. "I need help getting dressed," she murmured. She let go of his hand, trying to reach around and unclasp her wet bra, but she didn't have the strength to do it. She sighed, shaking her head. She tried one more time, getting it off with a grunt as she stood, letting it slide off her arms. She knew she was treading on some seriously dangerous water here. Being naked no matter the circumstances in front of Matt might bring his wolf out. She just needed to trust him to keep control of himself and not want to bend her over and fuck her like a wild animal. "I can't bend over for my underwear. You're going to have to do that for me," she said as she finally looked up at him, holding tightly onto his arm so that she didn't fall.

“I don’t know what I can do to help you, I’ve talked to everyone that I can and no one can give me any answers.” Matt admitted to her for the first time, hell he hadn’t told anyone in the pack about how far he had gone to try and work out how to help Molly through her painful transformation. He just didn’t feel the need to tell anyone, he couldn’t stand watching Molly suffer through any pain so to know she was suffering in silence hurt him. “You don’t have to complain, next time you go through this call for me and I’ll be here.” He told her as he could be really sweet and caring, especially when it came to Molly. But usually they were too busy bickering about something, that he couldn’t show her this side of him. The side that only she was allowed to see and know, he wasn’t always the tough guy that he was whenever the pack was around.

Having Molly tell him that she needed help getting dressed, was the last thing that he had been expecting but he wasn’t going to leave her now. So he watched as her bra fell onto the floor and he tried his hardest to keep his eyes away from her bare flesh, this wasn’t how he wanted to first see her naked. He had seen her in tank tops and bikinis before, he already knew her breasts were amazing and her legs were sexy but he didn’t want to see her like this now. But his eyes did slip a few times to her breasts and a low growl sounded in his throat as he helped her put on a dry bra, it took him a few seconds to do the clasp before he bent down and pushed her underwear down. He closed his eyes and held his breath, he wasn’t sure if he’d be able to control his wolf if he didn’t and she was still too young for them to mate. Once her underwear was on, he helped her step into a pair of sweat pants before he stood up. He finally exhaled heavily and leaned closer to Molly, he pressed a kiss to her bare shoulder. “I won’t be able to do that all the time,” His hot breath hitting her tanned skin.
Grace watched as Brian’s wolf walked over to her before laying down beside her, she loved seeing his wolf as he was gorgeous. Black fur with grey patches on his paws, his eyes were so dark that they could look black in certain lights. “Thank you,” She whispered to him as her fingers ran through his soft fur, she’d twirl strands around her fingers as they sat together. “Are you still offering me a job? I’ll pay rent to live here and I’ll work really hard,” She looked at him as he turned to her, she watched his wolf head nod as he obviously agreed. Shifting closer to Brian, she rested her body against his overgrown wolf form. She placed her head on his shoulder blade and just enjoyed their time together, “Maybe I’m not meant to be with someone. I’ve never met a nice guy, and you’ve warned me about all the guys I’ve dated.” Her voice was soft as it did upset her, all the guys she ever dated turned out to be jerks.

She just wanted a nice guy who loved her and treated her right, that’s all she has ever wanted. “If I was a werewolf then I could have a mate,” Her lips formed into a slight pout, if she was a wolf then Brian would look at her differently. They could start something, if he even saw her in that way which he wouldn’t. Grace was just a weak little human, she was nothing compared to him or other female werewolves. All the ones she has seen have been gorgeous, she had no idea why Brian was still single. Especially now that Molly was nearly eighteen, he didn’t need to worry about bring a woman home as his daughter was almost an adult herself.

Brian huffed as he listened to her, continuing to clean himself up. This was one of the moments where he was glad that he was in wolf form and didn't have to say much. There really wasn't much to say anyhow. Until she said something about wishing she were a werewolf. That sparked his interest. Brian wanted nothing more than for her to be his mate the more he thought about it. It may be completely taboo but it could be done. What was he thinking though? Is that how he felt about Grace? Did he have those sorts of feelings towards her? He doubted she had those sorts of feelings towards him. Thinking about all of this just made him all kinds of confused.

Brian nudged her over with his snout once he was all cleaned, making his way back inside and up to his room, transforming back. He put on some clothes before making his way back downstairs to the kitchen. He had no idea what Matt and Molly were doing and honestly he didn't really care. He had so much on his mind now with Grace. "You can have the spare room next to mine that's across from Molly's," he said as she entered the room. "Pretty sure that's the one you usually stay in anyhow. I hope there's nothing important at your apartment that you need because you won't be going back there. I'll buy you knew clothes and everything you need. You and Molly can go out shopping later," he said, grabbing a beer from the fridge.
Molly could feel his words tug at her heart strings a little. He actually researched all of that for her? He cared that much? She couldn't believe it. Molly felt as though she didn't need help, even if the pain of whatever she was going through was unbearable at times. She would get through it. So far it hadn't killed her. The only thing that terrified her was for her final transformation into her wolf. That's what she was afraid was going to kill her. She wasn't sure if she was going to be able to handle the excruciating pain of all the bones shifting for the first time. It just didn't sound nice.

Molly felt goose bumps rise on her skin as Matt removed her panties, biting down on her bottom lip. That turned her on more than it needed to. She was completely feeling like she was knocking on death's door and he managed to turn her on. Once he finally got her dressed she realized she was panting softly, reaching up and clutching onto his biceps tightly for support. "I can't stand how you have this effect on me. I feel like shit yet I want you. I hate how you know I want you. I can't even hide it," she said, sighing heavily.

A delicious scent caught his nose and he couldn’t help but inhale deeply as he looked down at the gorgeous brunette before him, her body was being turned on hopefully by him. “You can’t hide anything from me, darling. And I haven’t even done anything,” A smug smile formed on his features as his eyes focused on her and only her, he couldn’t help it though. He loved knowing that he could turn her on that easily, but it worked both ways. “You do know that you have the same effect over me, right? I couldn’t look at you then, I didn’t breath because I knew exactly what would happen if I had.” He told her as his fingers brushed back some of her damp hair back behind her shoulder, there have been so many times when Matt has gotten an erection by seeing Molly or just thinking about her.

Once she seemed like she could move, he guided her over to her bed and helped her sit down. He sat down behind her and grabbed her hair brush, he gently moved the brush through her dark locks before he tried his best to braid her hair. Although it came out lopsided, so Molly would have to fix it if she wanted to. “Did you want to lay down?” He asked as he wasn’t sure if this attack had worn her out or not, he had no idea what Brian was doing but he could hear two voices downstairs so he was still with Grace. Matt wondered if Brian had grown a pair of balls yet and made a move on the blonde, it was obvious that the Alpha pining over the young woman.
Grace followed Brian after a few minutes, she walked into the kitchen and sat down on a bar stool. “Thank you,” She looked at him as it took a lot of stress off of her, but then he told her that he would buy her whatever she needed. “Brian no, I have some money saved away. I can buy things myself,” She didn’t want him spending any money on her, although she didn’t have much money saved she could still buy herself whatever she needed. She would need to go to the thrift shop though for her clothes, because that’s all she could afford which meant she wouldn’t be taking Molly with her. She didn’t want Molly to know where she had to shop because she didn’t have much money to her name, then she saw the look on Brian’s handsome face and Grace knew he wasn’t going to listen to her.

“Fine…” She murmured as she gave in to him, he wouldn’t take no for an answer no matter how long she tried to refuse his offer. “But I don’t need a lot of things,” She told him as her blue eyes found his dark ones, she felt her heart flutter in her chest as she looked at him. Her stomach was tied in knots every time he was near her, she knew it was forbidden for a human and werewolf to have a relationship. But Brian has always treated her like a princess, he has treated her like she was important and she just wants that from a man. Even though it’s forbidden, her feelings for Brian felt right at least to her.

Brian was about to protest and tell her that she needed to let him help her, but she eventually gave in without him even having to do any work. "Thank you. Just let me help you until you get back on your feet. Think of this as an advancement or something," he said with a wave of his hand. "Since you are going to be working for me after all. Which I have to say, I am looking forward to." A smirk slowly formed on his thin lips as he brought his beer up to them, taking a sip. Brian was going to pay her good money for whatever she decided that she wanted to do for him, he'd let her pick. He had a lot of things she could do really, so she had tons of options and room for advancement in whatever she wanted to do. Which was funny to think about really. But either way, Brian was going to take care of her and make sure she didn't have to worry about money. He didn't want to see her struggle. She could stay here as long as she wanted, even live here if she wanted, he wouldn't care.

Brian looked over at the clock, sighing when he saw that it was only one in the afternoon. He was already drinking and it was only one. That's when you know you have a problem. "are you hungry or anything? I'm sure Molly is probably taking her afternoon nap right about now so you'll have to wait a little later to go shopping," he said as he pulled things out of the fridge to make a sandwich with. Which he honestly wasn't sure if he actually wanted or not with the thoughts of Neil in his stomach. That just kind of made him want to puke.
Molly bit down hard on her bottom lip. She knew she had to make him feel that way, it was pretty obvious with the way he acted around her any other time when she actually cared to notice. Molly couldn't tell if she felt awkward and uncomfortable or what. Maybe it was just how she wanted to feel but she didn't. It was such an odd feeling and she just couldn't shake it. "I can hide it better than you think I can," she said, her voice shaky. She shook her head and ran her fingers through her hair, making a face when she realized it was still wet. That was so annoying. She bent down slowly, picking up the towel and running it through her hair a few times before tossing it to the side.

She nodded in response to Matt's question, grabbing ahold of his arm and slowly sitting down onto the bed. She stared off into space for the longest time, shaking her head before fully laying down on the bed. "Lay with me?" She asked quietly, clearing her throat a bit. He heat still kind of hurt but it wasn't anywhere near as bad. The only time the pain fully went away was when he was touching her or holding her. As much as she didn't really want that, she needed it.

Matt nodded his head slowly before he laid down on Molly’s bed beside her, his muscular arms instantly wrapping around her body so he could hold her closer to him. It was then that he figured it would be a good time for them to talk about all of this, “I do understand how weird and awkward this feels. I felt the same way when the council made the decision, but like you said before. I’ve had seventeen years to come to terms with this, you haven’t and I get that.” It had been Brian’s decision not to tell Molly who her mate was until she was older, and he allowed Brian to make that choice as he knew his daughter better than anyone.

“If I could give you more time, then I would. If I could take this pain away, then I would. If I could change this, then I would if that’s what you wanted.” His voice became a whisper as his fingertips moved along the side of her body, “I’m not always a dick. Even if you might think I am,” He chuckled softly as he held her close to him.
Grace was also looking forward to working for Brian, and she would have told him that if he hadn’t smirked at her. “I bet you are, just so you can boss me around and say you have a good reason to.” She looked at him as she tried to hide the grin that had formed on her face, but at least he would be a great boss to have. Which was something she’s never had before, so it’ll be a really nice change for her. She nodded her head at his offer, “Yeah a sandwich would be good.” She watched him as he made them both a sandwich, “You do realise that it’s only 1 in the afternoon.” She glanced at the bottle of beer that he was drinking, “Is it because of how Molly is acting with the whole Matt thing?” She asked knowing the situation did cause Brian stress, and Grace never liked seeing him stressed over anything.

“You know they’ll be fine in time, right. Molly just needs time to get all of this through her head,” That was Grace’s opinion at least, she didn’t truly understand what Molly was going through. No matter how many times Molly talked to her about it all, but at least Molly did talk to her about how she was feeling. Because she wasn’t sure how much Molly talked to her father about what she was going through, or how she was feeling about having Matt be her mate.

Brian grinned and made them both a sandwich, knowing exactly what she wanted on hers. Perks of knowing someone almost their entire life. Brian put the sandwich on a plate, getting something to drink and setting it in front of her. He went over to the pantry and grabbed a variety of chips, splaying them out onto the counter for her to choose from. They always had a ton of different chips thanks to the guys having different tastes in things. Not that Brian minded much, it gave him options of what he wanted from time to time. Plus Molly enjoyed all of them.

Brian sat down next to Grace with his own sandwich, grunting when she asked about why he was drinking so early. It was just the day. He wasn't all that thrilled with what he had to do earlier either, but he wasn't going to tell her that. "I know she will. I mean I hope she will. The fact that she stabbed him with a pencil is just a bit much," he said with a sigh, shaking his head. "It's not just the whole mating thing I'm worried about, it's her mood swings and her side effects to the change. They're not getting any better. I know she just got done having a massive ear bleeding headache, which means she'll be down for some Tylenol and juice any minute. It's just scary," he said with a shake of his head as he bit into his sandwich.
Molly sighed softly, frowning a little. "I don't want it to change. It's just weird. I've never had the same feelings towards you like I do towards the rest of the guys. It's always been... different. I'm just fighting what I really feel because I just don't want to admit it to myself. I don't want you to have the satisfaction of knowing how I feel," she said with a smirk, pulling away from him and sitting up. She was feeling a lot better now, her head cleared up and the dizziness gone. "No matter how many sweet moments we have, Matthew, I'm always going to fight with you. You're going to be my bitch." Molly winked at him before getting up off the bed, going downstairs to the kitchen.

She looked between her dad and Grace, raising a brow at the odd looks on their faces. Did she still have blood on the side of her face? Probably, she didn't really care though. She wasn't in the mood to clean it up. She went to the fridge, getting some apple juice out and pouring herself a glass. "It's more silent than a morgue in here," she murmured, taking a sip of her juice.

Matt snorted as he watched Molly leave her room, her comment amused him about him being her bitch. Although he didn’t say anything else as he rolled off her bed and followed her downstairs, he couldn’t help but grin when he saw Brian sitting beside Grace. But then he could smell something metallic in the air, he didn’t say anything in front of Molly and Grace because he knew that smell. Blood. “It’s obvious they were talking about you, and you interrupted them.” Matt teased as he grinned over to Molly as she stood in the kitchen, stepping over to the kitchen counter he grabbed himself a bag of salt and vinegar chips. Opening the bag he shoved a few chips into his mouth as he could do with something to eat.

“Besides don’t you have to finish your homework?” He smirked at Molly as he leaned against the wall and ate his packet of chips, the sour taste lingered on his tongue which he really enjoyed. He loved teasing Molly about school, he had hated his time in school which was a very long time ago. At least Molly seemed to put in a decent amount of effort which he never did.
Grace took her sandwich and drink before she grabbed a bag of sea salt chips, “She’s hormonal and emotional. She’s about to go through a lot of changes, both to become a wolf and a woman. Don’t you remember all of my hormonal moods?” She smiled as she looked at him, when she was a teenager she used to give Brian hell but he never seemed to mind. He never said or did anything when she became a bitch, of course she never meant a word that she said to him. “I know, but there isn’t anything that you can do to help her through her transformation.” She wasn’t sure if her words would help him feel any better, but no one could help Molly or take her pain away.

Grace rested her hand on Brian’s forearm in hopes it would give him some comfort, that was until Molly walked downstairs and Grace pulled her hand away. She continued to eat her lunch as she looked over at her best friend, “We were talking about you. But only because you’re so amazing,” She smiled at Molly, she hoped Molly couldn’t detect how she felt about Brian. If her feelings did continue to grow for him, she didn’t want Molly to feel awkward if anything ever did happened between them.

Brian sighed and nodded as Grace tried to comfort him. "I definitely remember your hormonal mood swings. Jesus, those were awful," he said with a small laugh. He thought it was never going to end when Grace had been going through puberty. That was like going through a horror film and it made him absolutely dread the moment that Molly would have to go through it. He would rather have every bone in his body broken than have to go through that. Girls were just absolutely fucking scary at that age.
"I know there isn't anything I can do, it's just hard not to wish that there was," he said, looking over at her with a small smile when she placed her hand on his arm. He loved her touch. He always felt so at ease and comforted whenever he felt her hand on him or whenever they hugged. He wondered if she ever felt the same way.

Brian looked up when Matt told Molly that she had homework, sighing heavily. He hoped she had more pencils than the one she used to stab Matt with that was now covered in blood. She was so close to being done with school he just needed to go hang in there for a while longer.
Molly watched her father and Grace closely, biting down on her bottom lip. She knew how much they liked each other and she wished they would just get together and be done with it ready. If the whole werewolf thing was holding them back than that was the most stupid thing ever. They deserved to be happy and Molly wanted to see them both happy. Her dad needdd a woman in his life and Grace was that perfect woman for him.

Molly groaned when Matt mentioned something about homework, rolling her eyes. "No, I finished it," she said, finishing off her juice. That was a total lie, she had a few questions left but it wasn't a big deal. She didn't have another pencil besides the one she had stabbed Matt with earlier and she didn't feel like venturing out to get one. "Hey daddy, you have a little something on your cheek," she said, scrubbing at her own cheek as she stared at his. He had blood on his cheek and it made her wonder what he'd been up to this morning.

Grace’s hand was still warm from the touch she shared with Brian, and it wasn’t from his warm body temperature. It happened every time they touched or hugged, a lingering warmth would stay for a few minutes before slowly fading away. But the calmness she felt when Brian was around always stayed with her, a sense of security and love always engulfed her when he was close by. She knew her puberty had been hell for the Haner family, but she couldn’t stop how she felt or how crazy her hormones were during that time.

Smiling she finished off her lunch and placed the dishes into the sink, she glanced over to see Brian use a tissue to wipe his cheek quickly. She didn’t say anything about it as she had a feeling she knew exactly what it was, Neil’s blood. She didn’t want to know so she didn’t ask, instead she turned to face Molly and linked their arms together. “In that case, we’re having girl time so don’t bother trying to interrupt us.” She mostly looked at Matt as she spoke, he was usually the one who did try and steal Molly’s attention away from whatever she was doing. Grace grabbed a few more bags of chips and drinks before walking upstairs with Molly, sitting on her bed Grace looked at her best friend.

“I’m going to be staying here for a while, and working with your dad too.” Grace spoke as Molly knew everything about Neil, but Grace had made her promise that she would never tell her dad anything. “And your dad knows now, he saw the bruises.” She laid down on the bed, “Looks like I’m single again. How am I supposed to find a nice guy?” Grace signed heavily.
Matt watched as the girls headed upstairs to Molly’s bedroom, he looked over to Brian and raised a brow at his friend. “Dude… when are you doing to make your move on Grace? It obvious you both like each other, and I’m guessing by how you smell that you took care of that slimy boyfriend.” He looked at the Alpha of the pack, “She’s not going to be single for much longer.” He commented knowing it wasn’t his place to say anything, but he did want Brian and Grace to be happy. It was obvious to everyone in the pack that Brian and Grace belonged together, they were both blind to each other’s feelings.

“I take it that you paid a visit to her now ex-boyfriend?” Matt leaned against the kitchen counter and crossed his arms, he wondered if he brought the topic up then it would kick Brian’s ass into acting. He would be so much happier if he just talked to Grace about his feelings for her and made the move he’s been wanting to, “It’s been a while man.” Matt looked at his closest friend.

Brian watched as the girls went upstairs, sighing softly. He furrowed his brow as he began trying to make sure all of the blood was off of his face, beginning to feel sick to his stomach. He couldn't believe he hadn't gotten it all and it was even worse to think that Molly had seen it on his face. Brian absolutely hated it when Molly saw blood or anything of the sort on his face more than he hated seeing it on himself. She didn't need to see anything like that.

Brian shot Matt a look, wondering what in the hell he was talking about. Actually, no, he knew what he was talking about, he still just didn't want to admit it to himself. He really needed to get over that. "I don't know what you're talking about," he said with a heavy sigh, getting up and tossing the rest of his lunch away and putting the dish in the sink. He was suddently not in the mood for it.

"And yes, I did go teach that bastard a lesson for laying his hands on her. By the time anyone even thinks to look for him, he'll be dead," he said with a small shrug, crossing his arms over his chest as he looked at his friend. Neil deserved everything that he had coming to him and honestly he wished he could have somehow done worse. He should have been locked up and tortured, punished the pack way. But they didn't usually take humans hostage.
Molly followed Grace upstairs, sticking her tongue out at Matt since he couldn't bother them. Though Grace's word wouldn't stop him if he got bored enough and wanted to come find her, that's for sure. That pesky fucker would stop at nothing and listen to no one just to pluck her nerve.

She walked into her room, hopping onto her bed and looking over at Grace. She smiled big when she said that she was going to be staying with them and working with her dad, so glad that she finally gave in. "That's so great, I'm so happy!" she said, tackling the other girl in a hug. "So that means you finally got rid of asshole?" she asked, scrunching her face when Grace asked if she was ever going to find a guy and be happy. Molly sighed, laying down next to her on the bed. "You're going to find the right guy. He's going to be like prince charming and sweep you right up off of your feet before you know it," she said with a small smile. "I think he's closer than what you think, too. He's just too afraid to admit it. Well I mean, I've gotten it out of him but yunno, it's me, I'm just that fabulous," she said with a giggle and a hair flip, getting up off of her bed.

"So are you supposed to go get your stuff at any point in time? Or is dad giving us the card to go shopping and do some major bank damage? We need to get stuff for your room," Molly said with wide eyes, placing her hands on her cheeks. They just had to get Grace stuff to customize her room. Right now it looked like ever other standard guest room in the house. THey needed paint and everything else for it.
