Camilla smiled and blushed softly. "I have been reading the legends and myths of Vieana. The king suggested it and I am very grateful for that." she said and sat down thanking the servant that placed the food in front of her. She took a bite realizing she was famished all over again. She looked at Nicholas seeing the worry in his eyes.

Nicholas asked about his father and her expression softened looking sad as she pushed a bite of food on her plate with her fork as she considered how to answer. "He was as good as to be expected but he was pleased to speak with me finally. I was truly honored to have a moment with him." she said and looked up at Nicholas reaching over and touching his hand with hers squeezing gently. "We talked about you and Vieana. He gave me advice and shared in my passion for Vieana." she said softly and let the silence wash over them. As he cleared his throat she took her hand back slowly and returned to eating as well.

"I want to the library... it was beautiful and the book the book keeper brought to me of legends is stunning. I have seen books similar but this one is special somehow. Perhaps because it holds the moments throughout time from the people." she smiled softly and took another bite. Camilla looked around the table. "I must confess I spent all day observed in it. I wanted to feel the connection to Vieana in a different way other than policies and politics for a day." she admitted. "And you Nicholas? How was your day? What did you do?" she asked wondering if they where any closer to their approval for her to go and fix her mistake.
Felix came back to his room to get ready for dinner and frowned as he approached the door. He came up and saw the display on his door. He shouted. "Guard!" he waited steaming as the guard came up and looked form the prince to the cards. "Status on Princess Charlotte." he ordered. The guard looked at his team and one went to check as they looked over the cards. Felix was so angry. He turned and slammed his fist into the nearby wall. "Place this mess into a bag. Be careful not to touch it too much. I want to keep it as evidence." Felix said and then went into his room slamming the door and dressing quickly.

There was knock and he ordered an enter out. The guard came in. "Princess Charlotte is well and unaware of what has happened." Felix nodded. "Good, tonight I want to double her guard." he said and ran a hand through his hair. "Any man that does not follow proper protocols will be punished with negligence in relation the failure to protect the crown." he said knowing that would prevent anyone from creating a gap in continuous watch. "I want coverage at the servant entrance as well." he said and then left his room watching as the guard placed the evidence in his room. "At all times I want one guard at the Princess's and my room. No one enters or exits without supervision at all times." he said. He was not going to handle this threat well.

Felix walked to Charlotte's office and knocked trying to calm himself so he did not over react with her but he was going to make sure she was alright and have her presence at dinner tonight. "I want a guard to go tot he kitchen and witness the tasters." he said before the door opened. Felix walked in and looked over Charlotte. He sighed and pulled her into his arms without saying a word. Felix was more rattled than he wanted to admit.

Nicolas gave her a gentle smile and a little nod. He knew that his father wasn't doing well, there was no hiding that fact anymore. Though he was glad to hear that at least the man wasn't doing any worse. Nicholas wanted him to get through it even though he knew it was impossible at this point. The physicians had made it clear that all they could really do was make him as comfortable as possible before he went.

"I am glad to hear that you had a good meeting with my father. Perhaps you can go see him another time." Nicholas said softly. He wanted Camilla to get to know him well while she still could. "And that sounds very like him, to suggest that book to you. And it sounds like you are enjoying it. It is very important to the country and our people so you should definitely read it until you're done." In truth, Nicholas was excited that Camilla was reading it. It was something that he really hoped she ended up loving but he didn't want to pressure her.

Deciding that it was time to move on, Nicholas started to speak about his own day. "I spent most of my day speaking to a few of the committees and with the some of the nobles as well. We have come to an agreement as to when you should fix your mistake with the people. Next week, we are going to go into the towns close by, not going father than a day trip." Nicholas glanced over at Camilla, waiting for her reaction. "Some of you want to go a bit farther than that but I wouldn't be able to come with you."
As Felix came into the room, Charlotte looked up from her work and watch him cross over to her. She was quiet, waiting for him to speak. Her head tilted slightly to the side as the man came closer but once he wrapped his arms around her, Charlotte smiled softly. She leaned into his body, laying her head against his shoulder as she wrapped her arms around him, pulling him closer. Her fingers pressed against his back before slowly moving up his body and running through his hair gently. Charlotte could tell that something wasn't quite right but she did not know if the man was just tired or if it was something else.

"Long day?" Charlotte murmured into his ear. She squeezed him lightly before dropping her forehead and burying her face against his neck. The princess was exhausted after handling her own work. Though she felt as though she had not gotten much done today. Her sleepless night was having an affect on her and Charlotte had found herself almost dozing off before Felix came in.

She let out a little sigh against him and then pulled back slightly. Her hands slid down from his hair and rested against Felix's shoulders. Charlotte looked up at him for a moment before leaning up and pressing a gentle kiss against his cheek before pressing another against his lips. Slowly, she pulled away and met her eyes with his. "You seem upset." Charlotte said softly.

Camilla smiled softly. "I would love to spend more time with him, as long as he has the energy for it." she said knowing it was unlikely for him to have the strength. Though honestly she was thinking about asking the queen to be able just to sit with the king and read to him. She wanted to be there for him just like she would be for the country and for Nicholas in all the times he would need her just to be present.

Camilla smiled as he said they could start next week. She was very glad for it. She sighed in relief. "I am glad to hear we can start so soon and I understand. With the king, this is the best corse of action." she said not saying too much about the condition of the king for that statement.Camilla continued to eat thinking over all the things she wanted to do in the country to help out for her mistakes. She didn't know what they would have for her to do but she wasn't planning on acting like a princess entirely. She was there to work, fields, kitchens, pottery whatever the people needed.

Camilla bit her lip looking worried. They where not going to wan her help at first where they? Did the country know what the nobles did? She was sure some of them did. She sighed and then laughed Nicholas's eyes and hers widened. She had not been listening if he had been talking to absorbed in her thoughts. She hoped he would help her fill in what she had missed.
Felix melted into Charlotte, her touch relaxing each muscle that she touched. He held her to him and dropped his head onto hers humming in agreement as she asked if it was a long day. He wasn't often a man of few words but he was at his limit. He wanted to wish Charlotte away. He knew she was the queen his people needed because she was the woman he needed. Felix was just content that he had her in his arms safe. He knew he needed to tell her but he wanted to do it in the morning. Hopefully she would be able to get some sleep tonight.

He could see it in her face. She was tired. She hid it well as royals needed to but it was something he knew well and could see. He looked at her as she pulled back and smiled softly as she pressed a kiss to his cheek then his lips. Felix sighed as she said he was upset. "Yes but I do not want to talk about it now. All that matters is you are here with me." he said and cupped her cheek looking into her eyes before he leaned in and slowly kissed her.

It was the most sensual kiss he had given her, most likely because this was the most vulnerable he had been around her. He had to start thinking of what would happen if it was one of his nobles with a lot of power and influence. The fact of the mater was that no matter who it was, it was a crime against the crown and that was punishable by death. He could spare their life but then that lead the risk of Charlotte's life being put at risk again because of the traitors true belief that she did not belong on the thrown and it would only get worse with time. Felix pressed his forehead to hers as the kiss ended. He sighed. "Come eat dinner my princess." he smiled and took her hand leading her out of her room.

After a long moment, it became clear to Nicholas that the princess had been lost in her thoughts. He glanced at her, a little smile on his face as he watched her eyes widen a bit. "I assume you became lost in your own thoughts." The prince said, looking at her curiously. "Would you like to share at all?"

Nicholas then continued on, repeating himself so that he could get an answer from Camilla. It was important to him that she knew what her options were. "Some of the nobles think it is important that you go farther than the towns close by. Others and I disagree with this thought but I would like know what you think. The idea is that you go to towns that are not as close. Towns that are farther away than a day's ride, however, I would not be able to accompany you if this were to happen. I personally would not want you to go without me at this point but..."

The prince let out a bit of a sigh. It was not an option for him to go father than a day's ride. He needed to be close to home due to his father's condition, but Camila did not. "I would still like to know your opinion on it. The issue is currently at a standstill but your voice matters too."
Lacing her fingers up with his, Charlotte followed Felix out of the office. Her lips were tingling from the kiss that he had just given her, a bit of a smile on her face as well. It was clear as day that Felix was having a difficult time with something. However, he asked for her to leave it be and Charlotte was going to do that for him. She would ask him about it later and the princess believed that Felix would open up to her once he was ready.

She followed him downstairs to the dining room. Once they arrived, their food and drink were placed down on the table before the servants left to tend to their other tasks. If Felix or Charlotte needed them, they would be able to call for them. As everyone left the room, Charlotte took some time to focus on the dinner in front of her. The princess was both hungry and exhausted, and now she would be able to take care of one of those issues.

After she had eaten a good portion of her food, the princess looked up at Felix. Her eyes scanned over his face for a long moment before she gave him a little smile. "Would you have some time after dinner? It would be nice to go to the library or walk around the gardens."

"I'm sorry it's just all of this. There is so much to consider. I want them to be okay with me ruling beside you one day and I just don't think they are going to want my help at first." she admitted and shook her head. He restated the question for her and she nodded seeing both points of view. Honestly she didn't want to go without him but mainly for selfish reasons.

Nicholas finished speaking and she took a moment to think about it. "I understand that the effects of what I did reached much further than the towns around the castle and those people need our help just as much but until you are able to travel with me I would not want to divid the severity staff and put either of us in any danger. Perhaps at this time we can send aid and the promise of visiting at a later date when it is a better time. Perhaps on our wedding tour we can stop by hose places and bring hope and more aid to make up for the lack of my presence." she said and looked ups rom her food at Nicholas.

Camilla knew this was important but there was no point to it if she would not be there for the country later on because of an accident due to short staff either with her or the castle. "Besides with everything going on we need to appear as a united front." she said and then took a bite of her food. Camilla hoped his thoughts on the matter where the same.
Felix relaxed some as he watched Charlotte start to eat. He was glad she was eating and he hoped that she would be able to get some sleep but if she felt unable to he would request the physician to come and help with a sleep aid. He focused on his food though his thoughts where running in circles.

Felix didn't know what he was going to do if something happened to her. What more could they do to cause such a disturbance. What did they think they would accomplish with this? Did they think him of so little that he would change his mind with a little pressure, and from a faceless foe none the less. Maybe they thought that of Charlotte but they where wrong about her in every way.

When Charlotte spoke he looked up meeting her smile with one of his own. "I would like that a lot." he said grinning. "If we go to the library I can read to you or we can take Jace for a walk. Either sound pleasant to me." he said and grinned at her.

Nicholas visibly relaxed as Camilla spoke. He had not wanted her to go to the outside towns without him. Normally he would consider them rather safe, as they supported the crown and tended to be friendly. Though, at the moment, Nicholas knew that they were not in love with his princess. They would be soon but that was going to take some healing. "I am glad. I want to be there with you when you go for your first time. And, I agree, it is best if we appear as a united front."

The prince then continued on. "We can send aid and a promise to come soon. And we will make sure that we do soon them, either at the wedding tour or before." Nicholas gave her a small smile before returning to his meal. The prince felt much better now that was out of the way. It was just one less thing to worry about now.

Once he was finished with his dinner, Nicholas turned all of his attention back to Camilla. He took a moment, glancing over her soft features before a warm smile moved over his lips. Camilla was just so gorgeous. And the prince felt lucky to have her by his side. Truly, there was no one better than she. "I hope you know how beautiful you are."
"I think Jace is tired from running around my study all day." Charlotte told him with a warm laugh. The princess had brought Jace with her while she was working. Though the puppy ended up running around the room and causing a bit of mischief. It was rather funny to watch and Charlotte had been grateful for it. She was sure she would have fallen asleep if it were not for her.

"The library sounds perfect." The princess loved the idea of Felix reading to her. The sound of his voice was so soothing and that was what she really needed right now. And as much as she didn't want to acknowledge it, Charlotte was exhausted. All she really wanted to do was sit with Nicholas.

As the princess finished her dinner, Charlotte stood up. She headed over to behind Felix. Charlotte leaned down, lightly wrapping her arms around his neck before she leaned over and pressed a light kiss against his cheek. Her cheeks still turned a little red as she showed Felix such affection. After all, it wasn't something she saw at home very often but doing so made Charlotte's heart sing. She found herself just wanting to be close to Felix as often as possible. "Are you ready?"

"Although we are really a united front we don't have to try so hard." Camilla teased and smiled at him. After she had finished her food she looked up as Nicholas called her beautiful. She blushed smiling and reached over taking his hand. "Thank you my handsome prince." she stood and came around placing a gentle kiss on his cheek. She smiled loving that he saw so much good in her.

"Would you like to go for a walk Nickolas?" Camilla asked him not wanting to leave him just yet. Besides a walk would be good before she went to read some more for the rest of the night. "Tomorrow we should see if we can plan something outside of the palace before we go on our tour of recovery. I think the people would like to see us together." she said smiling at him.

Camilla was so lucky to be falling in love with hem man she was going to marry. She was one of the lucky ones in deed. Camilla wanted to be closer to Nicholas. She really couldn't wait for their marriage. She knew one one hand their early marriage would be because of sad reasons but she wanted Nicholas sooner rather than later. If she had it all her way she would have both, Nicholas and for Nicholas's father to get better and live a long life.
Felix chuckled. "Little Jace. He is a good dog." he said and smiled. Felix wanted to help her relax tonight. Tomorrow he would tell her what happened before dinner but tonight she needed a good nights sleep. As she came around to him he smiled leaning back as she kissed his cheek. He loved how she treated him. She was showing him how much she loved him and it was more than he could have expected in a marriage.

"Yeah I am ready to go." he said and stood. Felix stood and turned pulling her into his arms. He kissed her head and then rested his forehead on hers. He closed his eyes and hummed just enjoying this moment. He pulled back and took her hand. They headed out and down the hall to the library. Felix walked win with her all the books neatly placed on the shelves.

Felix looked around then at Charlotte. "Pick a book." he said and then moved over to the couch and sat down watching her. He stretched out as he watched her waiting for her to pick a book. It was a good thin he could be very patient because Charlotte was so beautiful and he could see how good they would be together. "Have you decided on any more wedding decisions?" he asked making small talk as she looked for a book.

"That is a fantastic idea." Nicholas said as he stood up from his chair. He moved to Camilla's side before offering his arm for her to taken. Once she did, he lead her out of the castle and to the gardens. It was getting later in the evening so it was best that they not go far. Though, once they were out of the hallways, his arm slowly moved around her waist, pulling her closer into his side. There were certain rules that they needed to follow in the castle, but when people weren't looking, Nicholas felt much more lax about it.

As they were moving through the gardens, his arm held onto her a bit closer before he leaned down and started to whisper into Camilla's ear. A bit of a smirk moving along his face as he did so. The man knew it was not something that he had to do but he did like watching Camilla get a bit flustered up, or even better, the way she looked at Nicholas when she needed him to kiss her. He loved seeing that desire on her face.

"I was thinking that we sneak away one of these days." He whispered into her ear. "Just to go do something fun, and not have to worry about our responsibilities or the rules or anything like that. Maybe we can go have a nice picnic in the woods or something like that. What do you think? I know you want to go into the town so everyone can see us but I just want to spend some time with you."
It took Charlotte a few moments until she pulled out a book from one of the shelves. She glanced over it for a moment before heading back to Felix and sitting down next to him. The woman handed him the book with a little smile on her face. "I have never read it before but I heard that it was rather good. Have you?" Charlotte asked as he took it from her. It was an ancient story from a country that no longer existed. Though, it was still popular enough to end up in libraries around the continent.

"And I made some progress yesterday. Sent out a few letters for those who could play music at the wedding and at the ball afterwards. Though I can't say that I was able to get much done today. Maybe tomorrow, though we still have plenty of time before the day." Charlotte smiled up at him. "And I still need to go home to take care of the dress. Anyways, have you made any wedding decisions?" Charlotte teased him lightly.

The princess slowly moved into Felix's side, laying her head against his chest as she did so. She allowed her shoes to slid off of her feet before bringing her legs up onto the couch with them. In a matter of moments, Charlotte was completely curled up into Felix's side. While she was still getting used to being close and showing her adoration towards him, the princess knew what she liked to do when it came to simply being close.

Camilla grinned and nodded as he whispered getting away just the two of them. "I would love that." she said looking up at him with that twinkle in her eyes. "I want to be in town with you because I want to get to know your people and I want them to know me because I want to love them because I love you." Camilla said as she looked at him. "But I really need time with just you and me away from the castle too." she said grinning.

Camilla couldn't deny her pull to Nicholas was a strong one. He was handsome and that didn't hurt but mostly it was his passion and his kindness that drew her in. He was strong and would make an amazing king. She was so happy and truly looked forward to becoming his wife. She didn't know if her sister would understand. She had received her letter and still wasn't sure how she was going to respond. She loved her sister but she had begged her not to hurt Nicholas's people and country.

They walked through the garden and it was most soothing. She looked at the flowers and grinned. "you're mom and I are still making progress on the wedding." she looked at him grinning. "Your mom is amazing, not just as the Queen but also as a woman. She is strong headed." Camilla laughed. "I never thought you could be so strong headed and be queen to a king. My sister is strong headed but she was to be Queen and her husband would have supported her not the other way around." she looked at Nicholas and frowned. "Even with everything... I still miss her." Camilla admitted.
Felix smiled as she handed him he book he looked it over and nodded. "I have read it a long time ago though. It is a wonderful story." he said and was pleased as she started to tell him how the plans where going. He smiled and nodded sadly as she said she didn't get far today. He understood and hoped even with his news tomorrow that she would be able to get more done.

"I am counting the days." Felix smiled wishing their wedding was closer. "I really do look forward to visiting your country." he said. He was thinking they might go sooner rather than later with the threats to her. "I really wish I could help with your dress plans." he winked at her. She asked how he was doing with the plans and he turned a shade of red and chuckled rubbing the back of his neck. "Not today unfortunately but I have some things in the works." He didn't think she would approve of what he had focused on solely today.

Felix smiled as she curled up into him and he propped the book open in his lap. He opened it and started to read his voice calm and soothing as he told the tale of love and adventure across a foreign land that seemed mythical just by nature. As a boy he had dreamed of exploring and concurring that land. He had played with the other children tales of conquest. He was probably that spoiled kid that got to always play the role he wanted to but they understood he was playing the role he would one day actually be in.

(Has Camilla received the letter that Charlotte wrote apologizing to her or is it still on its way in this scene?)

"We can find a way to do both." Nicholas told her before letting out a small hum in thought. Camilla was right that it would be a good idea for them to go into town. At this point, the more the people saw her the better that it would be. But he was also craving some time for just the two of them. "Maybe we can go into town in the morning and in the afternoon, we can have plans for just the two of us?" A smile came over his face at the thought of it. He seemed like a good compromise.

Nicholas gave her a small nod as she started to speak about her sister, Charlotte. He knew that he needed to be careful what he said on this subject. The prince didn't exactly trust her sister, or particularly liked her much. Not that he knew her but he was aware of what she had done to his people. However, Charlotte was still Camilla's family and he didn't want to create a wedge there either. "I think it is okay that you miss her." His voice was gentle. "She is your sister after all."

He wrapped his arm around her a bit tighter, wanting Camilla to feel loved and supported in that moment. Nicholas knew that she was struggling with what to do about her sister. But that was a decision that Camilla would have to make. If she did want to have a relationship with her, Nicholas would support her. And, if she didn't, Nicholas would support her. Either way, Nicholas would be weary of what Charlotte would do."Do you want her back in your life?"
"I think we should go soon." Charlotte murmured to him. "You should come and meet everyone. And I think it would be a nice break from everything. Just think about it." She hoped that they would go back home soon, very soon. Charlotte wanted to see everyone there, wanted to be somewhere familiar for a while. There was hope in her that Camilla would come as well, but she was unsure that would happen. Plus she wanted to be somewhere that she felt safe, somewhere that she knew the people and the nobles loved her.

"Sounds like both of us need to work a little harder on the wedding." The princess teased him lightly. Though she couldn't blame Felix if he wasn't able to get much done today. She wasn't sure if he felt exactly the same way she did, but yesterday had been frightening. And it threw Charlotte off more than she cared to admit. She had been on edge, and tired, throughout the day, scared that something else was going to happen.

As Felix started to read the tale, Charlotte relaxed her head against his chest. She listened as his soothing voice told her the magical tale. A little smile coming along her face after some time, truly enjoying the story that she had picked out. But it wasn't long before the exhaustion that Charlotte had been trying to fight that day took over. Her eyes became heavy, her muscles started to relax and her breathing slowed down. Before long, Charlotte was fast asleep.

(I am thinking she got it and read it but has been struggling with it.)

Camilla wanted to do both and nodded. "If you have time for that I would love to do that." she said grinning at him. She was so very glad she had him. He was her other half she had been missing all her life and it was odd to her now how she had lived without him so long.

As Nicholas started to talk about her sister she sighed and nodded softly as he said it was okay to miss her. She pulled out the letter she had been carrying around like a weight and handed it to Nicholas snuggling into him as he opened it. He asked her if she wanted Charlotte back in her life and she frowned looking at the letter. "I don't know yet. I think part of me does and yet another part of me is truly worried that she will try to hurt our people or you again. I feel like even though betraying her was she right thing to do it was still a betrayal. I love her always, she is my blood but I am scared." she looked at Nicholas and placed her hands over his. "I love you and this country more, and even more than I could explain to her or had ever expected to love someone."

Camilla breathed him in as he read over her sisters apology letter and looked up at him wondering if he thought her foolish for her hope in her sister. Do you think we could form a new bond from where we are now?" she asked him.
Felix nodded. He didn't want them to run away but on the other hand they might need to let the heat of what happened cool off. He kissed her head. "I will think about it and try to convince my father." he said softly. It was more than just a wanting that they would need to present to his father to go out there. The wedding was a good excuse.

Felix chuckled as she said they needed to work a little harder on the wedding and he nodded. Perhaps she was right they needed to make them a priority as well. Felix would feel better if he could assure Charlotte's safety and perhaps a trip to Aldannia would be just what would help them refocus when they returned.

Once Charlotte was asleep he picked her up and carried her to her chambers entering and laying her on the bed. He instructed the guard to stay with her. Then instructed the chambermaid to let her sleep and if she tired to help her undress before getting her back to sleep through any means necessary. Charlotte needed the rest and he would sleep better knowing she was sleeping too.

Nicholas smiled down at Camilla softly as he gently ran a hand through her hair. "I will make time for it." He told her softly. There was a chance that he would make a few upset with him changing his schedule so quickly. But Nicholas knew how important it was to spend time with his fiancee. Besides, it was all he really wanted to do recently but Nicholas felt that they were always so busy. Besides, no one would complain if they spent most of their day in town.

As Camilla offered the letter, Nicholas took it and started to read over the letter. A light sigh coming from him as he did so. In truth, Nicholas had some complicated emotions when it came to Camilla's sister, Charlotte. Nicholas understood why she had done what she had done. If he was in a similar position...well he probably would have done it if it got him back home. Though still, Nicholas was still furious by the fact that it had been done to him and his people.

After a moment, the prince handed the letter back. "I am unsure as to how to respond to any of this, Camilla." Nicholas told her truthfully. "I can understand her actions but it upsets me that it was done against my country. And I do not know Charlotte well enough to give you advice on what to do. You have to ask yourself if you think your sister is the type to hurt you even if you betrayed her. Do you think she will do it again even though she seems regretful in this letter? You need to decide if you want to continue that relationship with her and perhaps think about how you would feel if she were to do something like this again. Are you willing to take that risk? But also, how would you feel if you rejected her completely? Would you regret not reaching out?...I wish I could give you more advice, I wish I could help you make your decision but I think it is best that it comes from you."
Charlotte was able to sleep well for most of the night. Though when she did wake, it was a bit early in the morning and the young princess felt a little disoriented. It took her a few moments to realize that she was tucked in her bed, only wearing her chemise. The last thing that Charlotte remembered was listening to Felix read to her in the library. So she could only assume that she had fallen asleep and Felix carried her to her room. A little smile came over Charlotte's face at the thought. It was rather heartwarming. And she was rather thankful that Felix didn't wake her, otherwise, the princess knew she would have been in for another rough night.

So, Charlotte took some time in the morning to relax. The sun was rising now and she knew that there would be more guards out around the castle. She felt like she could take a deep breath and stay calm for the rest of the day. It was more likely for something to happen at night than during the day anyway, right?

Once some time had passed, Charlotte bathed and dressed before making her way down to the dining hall for breakfast. Her thoughts now moving onto what they had discussed last night. They were already set to go to her home country before the wedding date but she truly hoped that they would go sooner rather than later. It would be nice to go back, to see everyone, to catch up on what she missed. But Charlotte also knew she would feel completely safe there, while she didn't feel the same way here at the moment.

As Charlotte headed into the dining room, she hoped Felix would be there soon if he was not there already.

Camilla was glad he would make time for them, they needed it and it seemed no one else was going to make it happen other than them. She waited as he read the letter and watched the emotions though minute flood over his face. She could tell he had a complicated feeling on her sister and her relations with her. Camilla nodded as she listened.

Nicholas went over a lot of different angles and she bit her lip and sighed nodding. She knew he was right in the end she had to make up her own choice. "Thank you Nicholas it helps me anyways to have you say all that aloud." she said and bit her lip. "I think I do want a relationship with her still but not one where she has any say in my life or knowledge of Vieana." she admitted to Nicholas hoping he wouldn't be upset with her choice. she wanted to believe in the heartfelt letter her sister had sent and try to rebuild their relationship again but didn't know if they would be able to.

Camilla would think about it some more and write back to her sister on that new judgment. She folded up the letter and returned it to her skirts. She looked back at Nicholas. It was getting late and the night air was starting to chill her as they walked through the gardens. "We should head in." she admitted after a while not wanting to but she also knew that they would have all of tomorrow together.
When Felix woke in the morning he dressed and started on his work he could get done before breakfast. Once it was breakfast time he headed down into he dinning hall noting his parents absence. He sat as a plate was presented to him and was looking out the window as the door opened. "Charlotte." he said softly and stood greeting her. Once she was seated he sat to and waited while her meal was place in front of her. "How did you sleep?" he asked her.

Felix could see she looked more rested but he wanted to be sure she was feeling better today. He was thinking they might work on some more wedding arrangements and discuss their itinerary for their trip to Aldannia. He knew it would calm her to have order in place and a plan in action. He wanted to be sure she had everything she needed.

Nicholas let out a small sigh as he listened to Camilla's words. He looked at her gently before speaking again. "She will have very little say in your life now that you are here. Though it is best to remember that your sister is Queen of your home country. If you want to draw a line with her, I would do so carefully. Especially after you two have been apart for so long, and so much has happened to both of you since then. It is hard to say where her mind will be even though you know her well."

In truth, Nicholas was very concerned about how things might go between the both of them. The best situation was that the two were on good terms. Though the worst was much more concerning to the prince than Camilla not seeing her sister anymore. One misstep between the two of them now could cause Camilla to be exiled, or even worse, a war.

Not that Nicholas truly believed that would happen between them, but he had to be aware of the worse that could happen. Especially as he doubted that was on Camilla's mind. Though as she asked to head in, he gave her a small nod and offered his arm to her. "Let us go back into the warmth then."
A gentle smile crossed over Charlotte's features as Felix sat down next to her. "I slept very well. Though I am sure that you had an inkling that was the case as it was you who brought me to bed. At least, I assume it was you." Reaching over, Charlotte gently took his hand into her own and lightly squeezed it. "Did you sleep well last night?" She asked as she looked over Felix for a moment. Charlotte knew he was worried about her room being destroyed as well. It was frightening to think someone might attack her.

Once the food was set down in front of the both of them, her hand slid from his. She started to eat the breakfast, rather pleased with what was being served that morning. It was some of her favorites from the kitchen. And, after how she ate yesterday, Charlotte was rather hungry.

"What are you up to today?" Charlotte asked him after a few moments, glancing over at Felix as she did so. She knew she still had to work on the wedding preparations today, especially as she barely got anything done the day before. Though, tomorrow, she would need to focus on some of the letters that her own nobles had sent her way.

Camilla listened to Nicholas and nodded. She took his hand and stepped into him kissing his cheek. "Thank you. I will be careful." She said and smiled softly. They started to head back to the castle and she let her mind wonder to tomorrow when they would get to spend the entire day together.

Camilla smiled as she looked over at him. "I am really excited about spending tomorrow with you." she said and slipped her hand into his again her thumb running over his skin. They got back into the castle and she dragged out the time letting him walk her to her room. She knew they would be spending tomorrow together and for once she was excited to get his undivided attention but also see his people. They had not had enough interaction and it was due time.

"Your mother and I are making headway on the plans for the wedding." she said and smiled up at him as they drifted through the halls. Camilla wondered if Nicholas knew how excited she was to marry him. She knew there was still some trust issues to work through but she still was in love with him.
Felix smiled. "I slept just fine." he said and grinned as he squeezed her hand back. He brought it to her lips and kissed it softly. Once they started to eat he let her hand go and started to eat. He was glad to see her appetite was back.

Felix smiled as she asked what he was doing today. "Well I plan to work on some wedding plans but I am going to go and talk with my father to see about moving up our time to go to Aldannia." He smiled at her. "I will see if I can get a date out of him so you can prepare your nobles as well." he said grinning. He hoped to meet with them when he got there some time and get to know them earning their trust.

Felix sat back. "How about you? What do you have planned today?" he asked her smiling as he watched her. There was something about the way she moved that made her captivating. He needed to fight to make sure she was safe, to get her somewhere he didn't have to worry about her for a while.

"I am glad to hear that," Nicholas told her gently. He squeezed her hand lightly. It was true that Nicholas was excited to marry Camilla. Despite the issues that the two of them had run into, he loved her. They had things they needed to work on but Nicholas knew that this was the woman that he wanted by his side forever. Though, in honesty, he couldn't say that it was overly excited about the ceremony. Everything was getting pushed up because of his father's illness and it made Nicholas anxious. He wished that wasn't the case and they could have had just a joyous wedding instead of preparing for the worst.

Though he turned his head and looked over at Camilla with a large smile on his face. Even with that looming over him, he was ready to jump at the chance at their marriage. He wanted her. He wanted Camilla in every way. "I am sure that with the both of you working on it, it will be perfect." Reaching over, Nicholas leaned down and pressed a light kiss against her head as his hand pressed gently against her face.

Soon enough, the two of them were standing outside of Camilla's door. The prince looked at it for a moment before turning to his future Queen. "You need to get some rest for tomorrow. Sleep well, my darling." Leaning down, he pressed a light kiss against her lips. Though, he took a moment to lightly nip her bottom lip before pulling away completely.
"I think that sounds like a great way to spend your time," Charlotte said with a large smile as he mentioned working on their wedding plans. It would still be some time before their wedding occurred, but she was still more than excited for it to happen. Though there was still plenty of things for them to do. But when Felix mentioned moving up the time to go to Aldannia, Charlotte really perked up. As important as their wedding was, Charlotte was much more sensitive to their trip to Aldannia. She needed the nobles and people to accept him but there was only a short time to do it. Plus, of course, she missed her home deeply. "Yes, please do. The earlier we have a date, the better."

It took Charlotte a moment but she then moved back to focusing on her breakfast. She would be giddy if the King gave them an answer today about letting them visit her homeland. "I am focusing on some items for Aldannia today. Some letters from my father and the nobles have come through that need to be handled. Nothing too serious, but nonetheless, it needs answering."

Once Charlotte had finished up with her breakfast, she set her silverware down before moving her hands into her lap. She had wanted to wait until they were close to being done with their meal before asking him as to what happened yesterday. Especially since it was clear to her that Felix had been extremely upset by it. "Do you want to tell me what happened yesterday?" Charlotte asked him gently as she looked him over. Felix would have to be honest with her about it at some point, it was just a matter of when.

Camilla woke the next morning still thinking of that kiss. She wanted nothing more in this moment than to be with Nicholas all day. She got up and let the chambermaids help her dress for the day. She took great care in choosing her outfit for they where also going t be spending time with their people today and she was looking forward to it. Not only would she be doing it with Nicholas but she would get to make those connections to the people that were in her opinion long overdue. She didn't want to be a leader that only lead because of her birth but a leader that lead out of the love of the people.

Camilla came down to the dining room for breakfast and saw Nicholas on his way to the dining room as well and she hurried her pace arriving next to him and slipping her hand into his. "Good morning love." she glowed in his presence as she walked beside him. She grinned as she looked up at him. "How was your night?" she asked him her eyes lingering on his lips a moment before her eyes met his again.
Felix frowned. He sighed as set his hands down in his own lap as he considered how to tell her what happened. "I would have told you Charlotte but your mental well being and your ability to get some sleep was a priority to me. As you know we have amped up security and I am requesting to go to Aldannia earlier as much for your safety as the work that needs to be done there and my desire to see your home." Felix reached over and took her hand in his. "I want you to know I am making every effort to catch who is doing all of this and it is my top priority to keep you safe." he said and then knew there was nothing else to say but the truth.

"Yesterday a threat was placed upon your door in a form known to our country. It is clear to me now that the threat is internal." he said and gently squeezed her hand. He did not want to tell her all the terrible details but when he saw that she was not going to relent he did. He told her exactly what he found and all that he had worked on yesterday. "If you request it I will have you brought into my quarters in a separate bed of course but tradition be damned your safety is most important." He said his face showing his worry and determination. He much rather have her in his room as well but at the same time knew for her dignity it was not a wise choice. Felix tried to always make logical choices and often succeeded but when things mattered to him he because emotional and over protective in his way.

A grin came over Nicholas' face as he felt a hand slid into his. He glanced to the side to see that Camilla was now walking next to him. He felt an urge to lean down and kiss her but he knew better than to do so in a public hallway. Until they were married, Nicholas would need to be careful when he decided to steal a kiss here and there from his love. "Good morning to you as well. You look very stunning today." Nicholas glanced over her slowly. It was clear that she was trying to impress his people, and Nicholas was pleased to see it.

A low hum left the prince as she asked how his night was. The man glanced to the side for a moment before looking down, a smirk coming over his lips. "Lonely," Nicholas whispered to her. It was true that he wished she was in his bed. Nicholas hoped she wouldn't think of him going too fast by saying so. "But I am gleeful to be in your presence once again, my darling." Once they were in the dining room, Nicholas headed over to the chairs and pulled Camilla's seat out before sitting in his own.
Charlotte's head and heart dropped as Felix spoke. She had been fearing something like this might happen but she had desperately hoped that it wouldn't be the case. Praying that what happened with her room was just a thief, someone looking for something specific. Or even just a way to scare her without actually doing anything. But a second threat had appeared and there was no doubt that things were as serious as she had feared. To know that the threat was also internal... She was quick to push Felix into telling her everything and soon enough, he was. Charlotte could feel the threat of tears coming up. To be targeted like this was horrifying.

"I should have never told the nobles the truth," Charlotte whispered under her breath. With these threats happening so quickly after, she was sure that it was the catalyst. "And you should have told me when this happened. You can't be keeping things like this from me," Her head lifted up, looking to Felix with a deep frown and fear in her eyes. He may have wanted her to sleep last night but how could she do so the others? Charlotte's face grew red at his suggestion of her staying in his room and she looked away from Felix. "You know I can't do that."

Camilla blushed and smiled at him. "Thank you." she said loving the way he looked at her, how his eyes lingered where his lips wished to press and there was so much intimacy in his look. She was so grateful to see it again. She didn't think she would be able to breath if his affections for her ceased. He told her his night was lonely and she smiled as she inferred his meaning. "Mine was as well." she said softly her tone quiet and intimate. If she could not touch and be touched by him in the way she wished yet at least her words could do the caressing for her.

Camilla smiled as he lead her into the dinning room and pulled out her chair. She sat and watched him move to his seat. "I woke with great excitement for our day today." she said. She hoped that he understood every meaning of her words. Camilla wanted him to know that her passion for him was unbridled and simply was waiting on formalities. She crossed her legs under the table and looked away only when the servants entered the room. She did not want to give them any reason to talk. She was sure they had quite enough to say already about the wild princes from Aldannia.
Felix frowned as she grew visibly more and more upset. He hated this. He hated that he was so powerless against it. If he was king this would not be happening. Felix soothingly stroked her hand hoping she knew that he was here for her and would do anything for her. He had to speak to his father. He wanted to leave for Aldannia within the week. She couldn't keep doing this. And until he could promise her safety it wasn't right to keep her here.

Felix shook his head. "Charlotte." he reached over and caressed her cheek. "We did the right thing. This is an individual or a group of radicals. This does not stand for all of them. Charlotte please do not discount all of my people for a few that are misplaced and will be brought to justice." he pleaded with her. "And I will do everything to take care of you and keep you safe but I will always be honest with you when you ask me." he said. He could not promise not to keep things from her but that he would be honest with her if she asked. He sighed as she turned down his offer. "I know you can't and I honor you but we have to do something to keep you safe. I can not have you on the brink of fragmentation. It is not good for you or the people for your country or mine." he squeezed her hand gently. He was greatly concerned and it showed on his face. He was at a loss of what to do other than put her on a boat to her homeland and follow behind her shortly.

Felix let out a low hum as Camilla mentioned her excitement. He was rather sure he understood the meaning of her words, and the prince took a moment to look over her body slowly. His eyes then shifted back up to meet hers as a smirk came over his lips. Felix couldn't help but give her a little wink as well. Though when the servants entered the room, his eyes shifted off towards one of the windows, not wanting to accidentally give them something to talk about. He knew that basically everyone in the castle gossiped but this was better kept under wraps.

Once they set down the food and left the room, Felix turned his attention back to Camilla. He decided to shift gears during their breakfast. Besides, it was a good chance that one of his family members would walk in and join them before they left for the day. Not that they would gossip but he didn't need them walking in on the middle of their flirting. "Then are you ready for today?" Felix asked her before continuing on. "Is there anything that you need? Or any questions that you want to ask before we leave?"

He was very excited to finally be able to show off his fiancee. Though there were also some nerves sitting in him. Not that Camilla wasn't lovely and perfect in every way, but he wanted - no needed- his people to think so as well. Just the thought that anything could go wrong, that anything could even make his people think that she was unfit was worrisome. Especially with his father's situation, Felix needed them to accept her and fast.
"You won't be saying that if they managed to make their threat come true." Charlotte responded, tears starting to come to her eyes. "I am not discounting all of your people but we should have been worried about the consequences that could have come from the few. Especially as it seems they are able to move through the palace so easily and these aren't small threats they are making." Reaching up, Charlotte laid her hand against the one that was pressed against her cheek. Though as her fingers lightly wrapped around his hand from the back, she pulled it off of her face. "I shouldn't have to ask, Felix. Especially not when it comes to something like this." Charlotte didn't appreciate being kept in the dark about this. While she was sure there were secrets they both would keep, this one felt wrong. "Unless you wish me to ask you every day if someone has threatened my life."

As their hands laid on the table, she wrapped her fingers with his tightly. Though as he squeezed her hand, Charlotte let out a little hiccup. She raised a hand and started to wipe away her tears. "I do not know the solution. But I can't stay in your quarters with you." She repeated, though her voice softer this time. A little sigh left her and Charlotte leaned forward and laid her head against his shoulder. "It would cause more problems and headaches than the peace of mind we would receive. But, there are guards posted outside my room and..." Charlotte drifted off from what she was saying. More guards was better but it didn't make her feel completely secure. After all, they had managed to get past them twice and what if someone was willing to climb the castle or something equally insane? Or what if whoever was behind this was able to bribe the guards? They had a duty and guards were difficult to win over but it wasn't impossible and it wasn't like she was their Queen. Right now, Charlotte was just some foreign princess that had tried to betray them but stopped herself.

Charlotte started to pull away. "I need to write to my father. He needs to know what is occurring in case I do fragment or worse."
