Once Camilla was dragged back inside for her studying, Nicolas went back to his daily duties. Now that most of his meetings for the day, it meant that it was now time for paperwork, and keeping up with the nation's financials. While it was one of his most boring duties, Nicolas knew how important it was, so he took it seriously. Though she couldn't know for sure since she was so far away from the battle, Charlotte could barely see what was happening. Besides Felix's skills, Charlotte was also memorized by his movements. Plus she couldn't deny how attractive that he looked in his armor.
However, watching them showed Charlotte how skilled Embernia is, and how strong they still were after the war. If she was really going to fight for her country again, Charlotte was going to have to ensure that their moves were strategic. This just reenforced the need to spy on the Crosslakes and their allies. It also stirred up feelings of resentment and despair over the turnout of the war. While the decision to watch then train may help her in the long run, it didn't exactly help her emotionally.
