Exhausted. That could accurately describe the feeling that was coursing through Daenerys' body. She had just gotten off a shift that felt like it had gone on for days -- rather than the actual six hours that it had been. Probably because prior to her shift, she had been in class for nearly four hours between the two classes she'd had that day.

Daenerys was focused on going somewhere in life. She had no idea where exactly she was going but she wanted to conquer her own little part of the world. She had decided to take school on to become a veterinarian, in hopes that animals could be her focus. Maybe she would make enough money that she could help her bastard of a brother out with his ongoing financial woes.

The thought was thrown out the window as Dany drove home, tapping her leg to the beat of the song playing in the background. She drove a shitty little punch buggy that was probably going to break down any day now. She was far too stubborn to go look into buying a new vehicle - not when this one was still working just fine. Not when she loved everything about it, the rusty parts along the edges of the paint, the scratches from a few unfortunate events.

Dany pulled to a stop outside of the house her brother had inherited when their parents had passed away. It was one blessing - they didn't have to worry about a roof over their heads. Killing the engine, Dany made her way up the sidewalk, intent on making it inside and going right to sleep. Food didn't really matter - it would take more effort to make than was worth it.

"Vic, I'm home," she called out as was customary. Most of the time, Dany got no answer. Vic would be out doing something that he probably shouldn't have been and she would retire to her childhood bedroom where she would make quick work of passing out.
Jon had always been looking for a break that would lead to a promotion. He knew that it took hard work and a lot of dedication so it wasn't as if he wasn't expecting something hard to come his way. The few friends that he had were all a part of the police force so they understood when he was away or when he couldn't hang out after work for any given reason. The hours were long and the time spent was rough even on the best of days. There was always a case to be worked on, a problem to be solved. Never time to rest because if you wanted to step it up and make a difference in your community, you had to put every ounce of effort in.

Growing up in the foster care system, Jon had faced his fair share of problems but it hadn't been something he couldn't handle. He had adapted as well as any little boy could and it spurred a desire to better the city he lived in. Whatever he could do, he wanted to. He wanted to help the children that were most at risk, the ones that may have gone through the same things that he had growing up.

When he had first been approached about infiltrating the supposed illegal business that Drogo was involved in, Jon had very nearly denied the idea. The rumors that went around about the man were just that - unsubstantiated rumors at best. Unbiased cruelty seemed to be the man's style but who else would do it? His supervisor seemed to think Jon was the perfect fit for the job and after agreeing to it, he began his preparation.

Meet as many people, get involved in as much as he could so that he could build up credit. It seemed like months had gone by before he finally was invited to what he was told was an important meeting. He suspected that perhaps it would be his first time meeting Drogo which had him on edge but he did his best to play it off as he pulled up to a large mansion. Climbing out of the car, Jon was led inside by his closest 'friend' Robb.

Surprisingly Viserys was home for once, normally he was out until the early hours of the morning and he would have been out again. If it wasn’t for how bad his debt had become again, it was continually getting worse and he didn’t have enough money to pay it off. He was a drug dealer for Drogo, but lately his business wasn’t doing so well. His clients weren’t calling him as often as they once had been, Vic was certain his clients were going to someone else but he just wasn’t sure who or where they were going if it wasn’t to him. His partying habits also weren’t helping him, as he often brought drinks that he couldn’t afford. Which is why he made the deal with Drogo earlier that day, a deal that would clear all of his debt but it was a deal that wouldn’t sit well with his sister.

He honestly couldn’t care less, he wasn’t close with his younger sister and never had been. He only cared and thought about himself, which is why he had given his sister over to Drogo. So the business man could do whatever he wanted with her. Date her, marry her, use her for sex, or ignore her. Viserys didn’t care, just as long as his debt was cleared. “Finally, I’ve been waiting an hour for you Daenerys.” He snapped as he stepped into the foyer of their parent’s house, the family home that they both grew up in. The house that was left for them, but Vic thought because he was the oldest sibling the house was more his than Daenerys. “You’ll need to pack up all your shit, I’ve found you somewhere else to live.” Vic spoke as he looked at his sister, a bored expression covering his face as he didn’t have time to tell her exactly what he did.
[I’m just mixing Drogo & Charlotte in this one.]

Jason was sitting on his black leather couch in his large living room, he had a meeting with a man named Jon. He was currently waiting for the man to arrive, he had started hearing things about this guy so he wanted to meet him and see if he would fit in with himself and his team. Which is also why Charlotte was still there, Jason held a family dinner at his mansion every Wednesday night for his closest friends. Plus Charlotte could always tell if they could trust someone new or not, she held Jason’s complete and highest trust. She had also been in his life the longest, their families were close friends so he had always seen Charlie as family and always protected her. He heard the front door open and close, meaning that Jon had arrived for the meeting that he had asked for.

He had heard about all the good work that Jon had been doing recently, and Jason hardly ever asked for meetings with someone new unless that person sparked his attention and interest. He wasn’t someone who simply allowed people into his life, they had to prove themselves to him and even then it didn’t guarantee that Jason would allow them into his life. Which is why his crew was still pretty small, only a good handful of men worked for him plus Charlotte. “He’s here,” Charlotte’s voice interrupted his thoughts as she stepped into the room, their days had both been full that day. Court in the morning, jobs in the afternoon and then Viserys came to see him begging once again. By that time Jason was exhausted from the day so he agreed, he couldn’t actually remember what the deal was now.

Charlotte sat down on the couch beside Jason, she was always there when he had meetings. She had been helping clean up under dinner when she heard the new man arrive, she knew that Jason had been wanting to find another man for the crew after one left because his wife had fallen pregnant. Jason may be cruel within his work but he wasn’t heartless, which not many people knew. “Go easy on him, you scared the last guy away.” Charlotte smiled as she knew how Jason could get meeting new people.

The shock that Daenerys felt was something that she hadn't been prepared for. Her eyebrows pulled together in confusion as she looked up to her brother, tilting her head to the side. "What ever do you mean? What could you have possibly gotten yourself into now, Vic?" While she knew better than to question her brother, knew what his temper could be like, she couldn't quite wrap her head around what he was trying to tell her. Dany had always been subservient when it came to her brother - he was all that she had left and she wanted the relationship to be as good as possible. Sure, there had been times when he raised a hand in anger or shouted at her but that was only because he had been so passionate in the moment. Right?

"Don't tell me you sold the house!" Dany exclaimed, her eyes widening as she shook her head. "This place is what our parents left us, we can't just leave it, Vic. Besides, what would be worth it to leave here? Nothing!" Huffing, she turned and began to make her way into the kitchen to make herself a cup of tea so that she could retire to her bedroom with it. Whatever stupid thing her brother had done now, she didn't care to hear what he had done and she was exhausted - ready for bed. By the time she made it upstairs and changed, Dany wasn't even sure her tea would be cool enough to drink before she would have the chance to drift off to sleep.

Turning back around, Dany jumped when she noticed her brother standing in the doorway. If it hadn't been for the look on his face, Dany wouldn't have realized he wasn't kidding around. "Vic... what did you do?"
There was a certain sort of fear that had slivered down his spine and settled in the pit of his stomach as he climbed out of the car, in front of Drogo's home. Jon didn't know everything there was to know about the man, he didn't know enough to put the man away or even attempt to bring a single charge against him. He was careful and Jon had to give props to him over it. Business was never done in Drogo's home. Deals were discussed and struck but product never entered the home. Which, Jon hoped meant that he was at least safe while they were inside the mansion that Drogo had bought for himself.

Ignoring the sinking feeling that seemed to grow worse the further inside that he walked, Jon stood a bit straighter as they paused outside of what appeared to be a living room. After a moment, Jon was beckoned inside and with one final, unsure look to his companion, Rob, he stepped inside. The first time that he laid eyes on Drogo, he hadn't been prepared for just how massive he was. Not only in size but in aura, the man appeared to take up even more room if it were possible. He was certainly the sort of man that if he walked into a room, he would be catching eyes from damn near everyone inside.

Jon stepped forward, bowing his head for a moment before he looked up to Drogo. His head tilted to the side, his eyes flickering over to Charlotte for a brief moment before the settled back on the crime lord. He wasn't sure what to say so he opted to stay silent, deciding that leaving the floor open to Jason was probably the best option.

Vic knew that was how Daenerys was going to react, so he allowed her to make herself a cup of tea before he followed her upstairs. “I didn’t sell the house, I’ll still be living here but you won’t be.” He looked at her from the bedroom door frame, “It was the only way that I could pay off my debt. I did this to save my life, save our lives.” He only did this to save himself, he knew if he didn’t start paying off his debt then Drogo would have someone kill him. That would leave Daenerys on her own and she probably wouldn’t survive, “I’ve give you over to my boss. You’ll go live with him and do whatever he wants,” Vic spoke like it wasn’t a big deal, because in his eyes it wasn’t. To him it was just what needed to be done, this wasn’t personal to him and it never will be.

He wasn’t close to his sister so he honestly didn’t feel guilty about doing this, “So pack your bags. Someone will be collecting you tomorrow afternoon, you better be ready and don’t try to get out of this. He will find you… or he’ll kill us both,” He told his sister as he watched the shock cover her face before it was changed to confusion and then anger, not that Vic cared at how she was feeling. He turned around and walked down the hallway until he reached his own bedroom, his sister needed time to get her stuff together because she would need to take everything with her. She would be staying with Drogo until he decided to send her away, or she didn’t survive.
Jason watched with his dark eyes as the boy walked into the living room, “Sit.” He spoke in his deep rough voice, he gave a slight nod to Peter who was also standing off to the side. Peter had grown up with Jason and Charlotte, he was like a brother to Jason and was trusted like one. Peter took the hint and make the three of them drinks, setting two glasses of expensive whiskey on the coffee table and a glass of water for Charlotte before leaving the room. “Why do you want to be here, Jon?” Jason asked as he took a sip of his whiskey, his eyes never leaving the boy that sat on an arm chair across from him. He had a set of questions that he asked everyone, not that he held meetings like this often.

In fact he didn’t usually ever invite people to his home, he knew the police didn’t have any actual evidence on him that they could use to lock him up. But he still didn’t want anyone knowing the address to his home, of course he didn’t keep anything illegal in his home. He wasn’t stupid, he also wasn’t going to put his family at risk like that. He waited for Jon’s answer to his question and when he received it, he was impressed by what he was told. “Before we go any further, you will need to work hard and follow orders. You will start at the bottom and work your way up, if you’re in this business for money or sex then please leave right now. Also if you touch or hurt my family, I will find you.” He glanced over to where Charlie was sitting when he spoke, he wasn’t blind to how stunning Charlotte was. Jason never approved of any man she liked, he actually scared most of them away before they could break her heart. If a man dared to hurt her, then they had a death wish.

(I hope it's okay that I skip to the next day with Dany, if not I can always change it! )

Dany still couldn't believe what her brother had done. She couldn't get over the fact that Viserys had more or less sold her to his boss just so that he could get out of his debt. They had been sitting in the living room for the better part of the day, after Dany had showered and made sure to shave and be presentable. She had sat while her brother braided her hair, going over everything that may have been expected of her once she was with his boss. The most important thing to her was that she needed to please. Of course Dany would do whatever she could, she was just afraid that he would want certain things right away. Vic had mentioned sex being a very real possibility and she knew she couldn't say no. Her brother had done a good enough job of putting a fear of Drogo into Dany and she didn't necessarily want to let her brother down either.

Clearing her throat when the doorbell rang, Dany stood and brushed her hands down her torso to flatten out the folds in her dress. It was a tight, lace cocktail dress that Viserys picked out. He had been confident it would impress Drogo and so he'd demanded she wear it. There had been little room for argument so she slipped the dress over her shoulders before joining him in the living room.

Her bags were already beside the door so she began to follow her brother toward the front door. Dany's eyes were trained on the floor as she came to a halt a few steps behind Viserys, her heart pounding. Would Drogo be picking her up? Someone else?
"Brotherhood," Jon answered simply, her eyes trained on Jason's. He wasn't so sure that challenging the man was the best of ideas but he also suspected that if he did anything else, it would make him appear weak and that was one of the last things that he could have ever wanted. He had never met Drogo before, sure, but he doubted that the man wanted someone weak working for him. He considered his words for a moment longer before he continued on, taking a sip of the offered whiskey. "I don't want to work for someone who does not understand what being loyal to the man beside you is. That when things get dirty, you need to be able to rely on the man to your left and the one to your right." He shrugged his shoulders as if it was the most obvious answer in the world because to him, it was. He hated to admit it but it was - even though he was undercover, brotherhood was one of the most important things in his life.

His eyes flicked over to Charlotte at the mention of Drogo's family and he offered a hint of a smile and dipped his chin down before turning back to the man in charge. "I have no intention of hurting your family. If I did, I would not be here," he answered softly. He readjusted in his seat, tilting his head to the side as he eyed Drogo. "I expect to work hard and put in the footwork. A man that doesn't expect that from his men is no leader. I have heard nothing but good things about you so..." he trailed off with a slight shrug of his shoulders. "I would not expect anything less from you."

    (No, that’s completely fine!)

Jason was impressed with Jon’s answer to his questions, especially about how he wanted a brotherhood because not many men believed in having other’s backs no matter what. Younger boys just wanted the sex and money that could come from working with Drogo, none of them knew what the brotherhood stood for and Jason would never allow someone like that into his family.

“Of course I can’t simply let you in, without seeing what you can do. You will receive a package tomorrow morning with instructions, come here once you have finished.” Drogo spoke as he sipped his whiskey and glanced over to Charlotte, he could always tell when she liked someone and didn’t like someone. She liked Jon just like he did, for now at least. It was easy to talk, now he had to prove what he had said and then Jason would decide if he was right for the family.

“I hope to see you tomorrow,” Standing up from the couch he didn’t offer Jon his hand to shake, that would come tomorrow if he finished the task that would be set for him. Which would be to collect a case of guns, before selling them. Drogo would have two of his men to go with Jon, they weren’t allowed to help him in anyway. They were just there so they could watch and report back to Jason on how Jon went, if Jon was smart he would get a contact from the guys at the shipping dock and he would get the best price he could and he shouldn’t be scared to walk away from a deal if the price wasn’t high enough.

Once Jon was shown out and everyone else left, he turned in for the night as the next day was going to be a busy one. Luckily he didn’t have any cases he needed to work on or go into court for, because the next morning the girl was arriving and he hoped she didn’t annoy him like her brother always did.
Charlotte left after the meeting and drove down the street to her house, Jason had brought it for her last birthday because she was still living in a shitty apartment with a landlord that constantly flirted with her. She tried to make Jason take the house for himself but he wouldn’t listen to her, thankfully he hadn’t brought her a mansion because she didn’t need one when it was just herself living there. Once she was home she climbed into bed and slept through the night, in the morning she showered before getting dressed in black trousers and a navy blouse with black heels. Her blonde locks were curled and pulled up into a messy ponytail, she made herself breakfast before she heard a car horn sound from outside her house. Grabbing her handbag she locked up her house and got into the car that Oliver was driving, they talked as he drove to the house where they were collecting Daenerys.

She felt horrible that Vic offered his own sister to Drogo, it made her feel sick but so did everything that Vic did. Once parked in the driveway, Oliver rang the doorbell and they waited. It was Vic that answered the door, “Take her bags to the car. It’s unlocked, Vic.” Charlotte spoke knowing that he wouldn’t dare refuse her order because it would always get back to Jason, so she and Oliver stepped into the house leaving Viserys to pack his sister’s bags into the trunk of the car. “You must be Daenerys, it’s a pleasure to meet you. I’m Charlotte and this is Oliver, I can’t tell you how sorry I am that this is happening to you.” She told the gorgeous brunette honestly, none of their clients has ever sold a family member to them before so no one knew what to do. But Drogo thought that if Vic was willingly handing over his sister, her life with her brother must be hell which is the only reason he agreed to it. “We can go whenever you’re ready,” Charlotte smiled hoping to make this situation easier on Dany.

Jon stayed up for the better part of the night because he had been too anxious - what if something went wrong and he wasn't able to follow through? He had no idea what was going to be asked of him and he was all too worried it would involve killing. He had begun to realize that perhaps Drogo wasn't as horrible as the police force had led him to believe. He wasn't as heartless, it was more of a if you crossed Drogo, he was not afraid to exact revenge. Eventually, Jon had managed to fall into an uneasy rest, only to wake up a few minutes before his alarm was supposed to go off in the first place. He grumbled and began his morning routine of showering and dressing - with the same watch wrapped around his wrist that had a wire inside of the watch face. He had been assured time and time again that no one would ever possibly pick up on and it and so far, he had been okay.

It seemed like just on time as he finished getting ready, there was a knock at the door. He wasted no time in answering the door, not wanting to keep whoever was on the other side waiting. Joining them, he slid into the passenger seat of the suv, opening the package that was handed to him. His eyes scanned the instructions before he settled into the seat as they drove down to the pier.

Jon ended up leaving with the weapons still secured in various suitcases because the offer had been far too low for his likely - just because he was a new guy didn't mean that they were going to be able to take advantage of him. He would be damned and he wasn't about to make himself seem so gullible and useless to Drogo. There would be no chance in making leeway in the man's organization if he pulled such a stunt.

He was quiet as they drove back to Drogo's home, nerves settling in the pit of his stomach. What would Drogo say? There had been no indication of what he should do so he just went with his gut and hoped for the very best.
Dany stood back as she watched her brother load her bags into the car that had arrived to pick her up. She only could offer the woman a nervous smile, too afraid to speak because she felt like anything she could say would be the wrong sort of thing. Even after Charlotte apologized, Dany was left to feel like it was some sort of sick ploy to figure out that she was lying all along about how she would do whatever Drogo asked of her. She had never met the man, had never even heard of him until Viserys filled her in this morning.

Turning to Viserys, Dany stepped up to him and wrapped her arms tightly around him. Her brother offered a weak, cold hug at best before urging her toward the car. She stumbled slightly but didn't bother to say anything, only hanging her head as she turned and headed toward the car that Charlotte and Oliver were waiting beside. She was quiet for the longest time, until the home she had grown up in disappeared from view before she finally found the courage to speak.

"I will do whatever is required of me," Dany's voice was barely above a whisper, shaking even as she spoke. "I will do my best to please Viserys' boss."

Jason was in his office attending to some work that he needed to get done, before Jon or the girl arrived at his home. Neither shouldn’t be that far away now, but he wanted to get all his work done while he still had peace and quiet. His office at his home was out of bounds for everyone but Charlotte, she was the only person who was allowed in his office because it was his own personal space and he’d keep it like that. He had just sent off his last email for the day when he heard a car pull up in his driveway, he shut off his computer before he left his office and shut the door behind him. Walking through his mansion he glanced out a window, Clint and Nick were back from the task that he had given Jon for the day. He had to admit that he hadn’t been expecting Jon to be finished with the task already, but he was pleasantly surprised.

Walking downstairs he stood in the foyer with his muscular arms crossed over his chest, he watched as the front doors opened and the three men entered his house. Clint held a duffle bag in his hand which Jason assumed was packed with cash from the guns sale, “Stay here.” He told Jon as he guided Clint and Nick off into another room so they could speak in private, once they were Jason opened the bag to see a good amount of money while Nick told him how well Jon had done. Even he was impressed and that hardly ever happened to the man, he nodded his head lightly as he told his men to get back to work. He carried the bag of money in his hand as he walked back over to Jon, “Welcome to the family.” He tossed the bag over to him, Jason had more than enough money to last him a life time and Jon had worked hard for the money so it was only fair for him to keep it all.
Charlotte climbed back into the car but looked back at Dany when she spoke, “Call him Jason. The thing about him is that he works all the time, he doesn’t have time for a relationship but that is beginning to affect the way his colleagues see him. It would help him if he had a girlfriend, you shall pretend to be his girlfriend. At least until his colleagues leave him alone,” She explained knowing how bad it sounded, but Jason just didn’t have the time to go out and meet someone. Besides he didn’t trust many people, they either wanted to bring him down or take his money. But if Jason didn’t grow to trust Dany, then he would make her leave and he would then go after her brother once again. “Just be yourself,” Charlotte assured Dany the best that she could, she didn’t like this idea but it was Vic’s fault this was all happening.

The rest of the car ride was mostly silent, Oliver drove the car into the large garage that was connected to Jason’s house. Climbing out Charlotte turned to look at Dany while Oliver carried her bags inside, “Jason will give you any car in this garage. Pick one whenever you like,” She explained before she lead Dany inside, “This way.” She looked over her shoulder to make sure Dany was still there.

When Jon was left alone in the foyer of the home, he couldn't help but to feel a bit anxious. He ws sure that he had gotten the entire thing on the bug in his watch and yet... what if Jason thought he didn't do well enough and he ended up out? There wouldn't be a second chance coming any time soon and he couldn't very well just plead his case. He knew such a thing would make him appear weak and like he would grovel at anyones' feet and that wasn't the sort of image he wanted to put out. Not when this case was so damn important. If they could bring down Drogo, crime would begin to lessen and that was all the police force wanted. The murder rate would go down almost certainly and so would the cases of overdoses and the disappearances. Perhaps Drogo wasn't behind every bad thing that happened in the city but Jon knew he had to be behind a large chunk of it... right?

Jason appeared and Jon immediately straightened up, squaring his shoulders as his eyes connected with the other man's gaze. He cleared his throat, readying himself to ask about what the decision was but instead, he was left to catch the bag of money. His eyes widened as he looked up to Jason, letting out a gleeful laugh as he nodded. He stepped forward and held out his hand before he could think about just how awkward it perhaps would be if the handshake was denied. "I couldn't have hoped to work for anyone other than you," Jon said. He was relieved when Jason shook his hand before he stepped back. "I hope I can live up to your expectations."
Listening to what was expected of her, Dany could only bring herself to nod. Her mind had jumped to the worst possible conclusions - perhaps this man was only going to sell her off to the highest bidder and she would be left to the wolves. She exhaled slowly, clasping her hands in her lap as they continued to drive. Dany shivered as they pulled up to the home, unable to draw her eyes away from just how massive the house was. She had never had the luxury of stepping inside of a house so large before - the home that their parents had left to Dany and Viserys wasn't small by any means but it was comfortable and had upgrades were they were needed. But this house? It seemed to be the most over the top one she had ever even seen. Her stomach twisted as she climbed out once they pulled into the garage, only for her jaw to drop when Charlotte mentioned choosing a car. She looked down the line before shaking her head and opting to just follow Charlotte inside. if Jason wanted her to have a vehicle, she would take whatever he wanted her to. It didn't matter to her - she would only have the vehicle for as long as she was here.

"So..." Dany trailed off once they entered the home. She held her hands in front of her, unable to keep herself from looking around as they walked. Her eyes were wide, her lips parted in awe as they continued on down the hallway.

Jason shook Jon’s hand, “I’m sure that you will.” This wouldn’t be the last test that he put Jon through, but that would happen later. A test right now would be how Jon spent the money, if he blew it all within the week then Jason wouldn’t be pleased. Although he wasn’t expecting anyone to not spend a cent, of course Jon could spend the money on whatever he wanted but Jason wanted to see if Jon was smart enough to save some money and put it aside. That’s exactly what all his crew did when they past the first test, it said a lot to Jason if someone could save as much money as they could while still living a good life. For some reason he didn’t feel like he could trust a man who spent all the money within a short period of time, to Jason it meant they weren’t smart enough to look into what their future would be.

“We’re a family here and we protect each other, but if something is going down and Charlotte is there. You protect her, no matter who else is around. You keep her safe, got it?” Drogo looked at Jon as he told all his crew that, honestly he could lose his crew but as long as Charlie was safe then he didn’t care. “I will be holding a family dinner here tonight, I will introduce you to everyone.” He stated as he wanted the crew to meet Jon and Daenerys, who he had spoken to his men about but only Charlotte and Oliver have met yet. He was curious to meet her himself, see what she was like and what kind of personality that she had. But he hoped she wasn’t anything like her brother, he wasn’t sure how long he could deal with her if she was like the weasel that was her brother.
“It’s a lot to take in, I know. And if you get lost, don’t worry about it. I used to get lost all the time here,” Charlotte smiled as she showed Dany the first floor of the house, including the large open plan kitchen and dining which usually had a chef working there through the day. The numerous lounge rooms and the games room where the guys always hang out together, all the bathrooms and the massive backyard that had an in ground lap pool and a hot tub. “Jason never had much growing up, so when he had enough money for a house. He wanted everything he didn’t have,” Charlotte explained to Dany about why Jason wanted such an over the top house, he also wanted this place because of how secure the surrounding fences were and the large gate that could only be opened by a remote or from the inside of the mansion.

“Would you like to see upstairs first or meet Jason?” Charlie asked feeling like Dany should decide on what she wanted to do next, Jason would be around somewhere or they could go upstairs and Dany could explore and see her new bedroom. Which Jason had allowed Charlotte to get ready, she didn’t decorate much as she wasn’t sure what Dany’s style was. But she brought really nice bed sheets and linen, towels for her new ensuite bathroom and she stocked up on all the items Dany would need.

Confusion etched across Jon's features as soon as Jason ordered him to keep Charlotte safe above everything else. He knew that the woman was important to Jason but he certainly hadn't expected to hear that. Of course he would do just as he was asked, probably would have without even being told to simply because she was harmless in the grande scheme of things. "Of course," he answered after a moment, giving a nod of his head to affirm his words. There was no question to be asked as far as he was concerned. He cleared his throat as he looked down to the bag hanging at his side for a moment before looking back up to Jason.

"I hope that I am not overstepping any boundaries here," Jon hesitated for a moment, his brows pulling together as his tongue darted out to wet his lips. "Does Charlotte have any training in regards to self defense? Does she know how to shoot a gun?" The questions may have seemed dumb to him, like they didn't need to be asked but if a situation got a little rocky, he knew that the answer could be the difference between life and death. For quite a few people, not just him. Ultimately, he thought if he let harm come to Charlotte, he would be done for regardless of what happened to him in the long run. Jon cleared his throat as he took a small step back. "If she doesn't... is it an option?"
Dany let out a laugh of disbelief as they slowed to a stop, her eyes widen as she slowly spun around in a circle. She knew that she probably looked silly being just so amazed by everything that she saw but she just couldn't help it. It was hard for Dany to believe that people even lived in home this lavish. She drove her shitty little punch buggy that she wouldn't bother trading for a brand new one. The house was homey enough, even if the overall aura was cold and there really was no life inside. She worked and she went to school, the few hours in the evening that she was home without anything to do, she usually spent studying. It wasn't as if Viserys was ever home so it didn't affect much of anything.

Clearing her throat, Dany shrugged at the options given to her. On one hand, she wanted to continue to explore the house that was now her home but she thought that it was probably not best to keep Jason waiting. She didn't know how patient he was and she didn't necessarily want to find out just yet. "It would probably be best to not keep Jason waiting," she answered quietly. She wasn't here to enjoy herself so there was no point in pretending to be by picking what she wanted to do. What she should do was entirely different and she opted to go with that instead. Dany offered a shy smile as she reached up to tuck a strand of hair behind her ear. "Is there anything that I should know about him?"

Jason wasn’t offended by Jon’s questions about Charlotte, he needed to know in case anything did go down. “She’s been through the best self-defence classes in the city, she does know how to shoot and she does have a gun. But I’d rather her never need to use it,” He explained to Jon, even though Charlotte knew how to defend herself. It may not be enough if the police were involved or if another gang wanted to take him down, but he had wanted her to know everything she could to keep herself safe at all times. “She’s only ever fired in a controlled gun range,” Jason offered as it had been his idea for her to learn how to use a gun, she had tried to refuse because she didn’t feel comfortable with the idea but they eventually came to an agreement.

“You can stick around here if you like,” Jason spoke to Jon before he heard footsteps and Charlotte’s voice coming closer to where he stood, Daenerys must be here already. He hoped that she hadn’t put up a fight or given Charlotte a hard time, he had asked Charlie to go with Oliver as he thought another female may make Daenerys a little more comfortable with this whole ordeal. Turning around when the women entered the foyer, his eyes first landed on the blonde before moving onto a gorgeous brunette. Jason had absolutely no clue what Dany even looked like, but he hadn’t been expecting this. “Hello Daenerys, welcome to my home. I hope your trip here was a pleasant one,” He spoke to the brunette in his velvety smooth voice, “I’m Jason.” He introduced himself to her.
Charlotte smiled as how in awe Daenerys was as she took in her new home, she had done the exact same thing the first time she walked through Jason’s mansion. “Don’t believe everything that you hear about him, he does work extremely hard for everything that he has so there will be times when he’s too busy to be here or he’s locked away in his office. Just occupy yourself. He can be cold and distant, especially with people he doesn’t know well enough but he isn’t always like that. He really just wants you to be yourself here,” Charlotte explained as she could hear Jason’s voice from the foyer, so she guided Dany in that direction and once there she noticed Jon had arrived already. He was holding a duffle bag, which she instantly knew what that meant. Jon was the newest member of the crew.

“Jon, can you help me please?” She asked wanting to give Jason and Dany some space, once Jon nodded she turned around and walked back towards the kitchen. “Congratulations on earning a spot with us, can I get you anything to drink?” She asked glancing over her shoulder as she stepped over to the fridge, she grabbed a bottle of water out for herself and took a long drink from it. She knew Jason would most likely be busy with Dany now, so Charlotte took it upon herself to keep an eye on Jon. “Tell me about yourself,” She wanted to get to know him, know his life story up until now. Just because Jason had welcomed him into the family, it was still easy to get rid of anyone on the crew. Not that it has ever come to that, Jason didn’t just invite anyone to be a part of what he has created.

Jon saw no need to say no to Jason's offer, particularly if he was just going to be returning shortly for dinner celebrations where he would be meeting the rest of the crew. He nodded, offering a bit of a smile, only to turn as the women entered the room. He gave Charlotte a small nod, bowing his head for a moment before his attention drifted to Daenarys. His eyes narrowed a bit as he tried to decide whether he recognized the girl or not but he settled with that he didn't. All too happy to follow after Charlotte because he felt like he perhaps shouldn't be intruding on Jason and Daenarys, he cleared his throat once they entered the kitchen.

He shook his head at the question, unsure of whether it would be overstepping to ask for something a bit stronger to drink. The morning had proven successful but it had been stressful in its own right. Had he not done so well, Jon had no clue what would have been in store for him and he didn't particularly care to find out either.

Sliding onto one of the stools at the breakfast bar, Jon rested his elbows on the edge of the countertop as he looked over to Charlotte. "There's not much to say. I grew up in the foster care system for most of my life..." he trailed off with a shrug of his shoulders. "I guess I've always been looking for a family and I should count myself lucky for meeting Jason, he's just given me more than I could ever repay."
Dany looked down to her feet, reaching to tug the skirt of her dress as far down her legs as she could. It seemed that both her brother and herself had different ideas of what Jason had wanted her for and now she just felt ridiculously overdressed, like she was out of place. She didn't belong in a home this lavish and part of her hoped that she wouldn't be here long for she didn't want to grow too attached to any of it when it wouldn't be hers forever.

"Please. Call me Dany," she spoke quietly, her eyes flicking up to meet Jason's for a moment. A chill ran down her spine causing her to wrap her arms around her torso in hopes to warm herself up. She wasn't cold so she had no clue where the sensation had come from. "Charlotte and Oliver were both wonderful on the way over," she commented, unsure of whether he wanted to know but he certainly seemed to want to. Dany looked away when an awkward silence settled between them, her stomach flipping.

"I will... I will do whatever you require of me but please, understand that I may need to be taught some things," Dany paused long enough to motion to the room around them. "I'm not used to things like this."

Jason didn’t pay any attention to what the brunette was wearing, she could honestly wear whatever she was comfortable in for the most part. The only time he would expect her to dress and look nice was when his business colleagues were around, other than that he wasn’t going to ever tell her what she could and couldn’t do.

He didn’t own her, he would never do something like that. “Dany,” He repeated her name which seemed to roll off of his tongue fairly well, his dark eyes moved over her body when he noticed she had wrapped her arms around herself. It wasn’t a cold day, maybe he was making her uncomfortable. It wouldn’t be the first time that’s happened with other people, and it wouldn’t be the last.

He frowned slightly when she told him she’d need to be taught some times, he wasn’t sure what she meant. She wouldn’t need to cook or clean or do the laundry, he had people who worked for him that did all those tasks because he was too busy to do them himself. But he didn’t say anything about it, instead he stepped into the lounge room.

“Please sit, or you could get changed and then we could talk.” He suggested as she did look uncomfortable, either by him being there or what she was wearing or it could have been a mixture of the two. Which is why he wanted to sit down with her so they could talk, get to know each other so she wouldn’t feel so out of place in his home.
Charlotte hadn’t been expecting to hear that, she couldn’t imagine what it must be like growing up in foster care. She was an only child but she grew up with loving parents who did everything for her, she couldn’t imagine what it would be like to not have that.

“I’m sorry,” She didn’t know what else to say to Jon as she leaned against the breakfast table, “You don’t have to repay him. Just work hard and don’t screw us over, that’s all Jason wants from you.” Charlotte told him after sipping her water, “Also don’t tell anyone about what we do. Not even friends or girlfriends or wives, at least not until Jason says you can.” She hadn’t seen a ring on Jon’s finger but that didn’t mean he was single, only a few wives knew about the business their husband’s worked in.

And Jason only allowed that because the secret was beginning to tear the marriage a part, and the men have been in the crew for a long time. Jason knew the wives well and trusted them, but other than that no partners were meant to know. Which can be hard, Charlotte understood that but it was a rule and it had to be followed if Jon wanted to stay there and be in their family.

Daenarys straightened up a bit more when Jason said her name, her eyes flicking to his. Her breath caught in her throat as her eyes locked with his, anticipating whatever was coming her way. She was still fully expecting Jason to burst out laughing and tell her that this was all a sick joke. That he wasn't going to be kind to her because he had no real need to be. Her brother likely owed Jason more money than he would ever see, Viserys had gotten himself into the mess and done the only thing he could think of to get out of it. It was now up to her to play her part.

Taking a deep breath, Dany nodded and stepped forward so that she could make her way further into the sitting room. She hesitated for just a moment longer before she sunk down onto one of the chairs, her eyes focused back in her lap. She swallowed the lump that formed in her throat as she crossed her ankles, fidgeting with her fingers in her lap.

"I've never..." Dany tested her voice, her stomach twisting into a knot as she forced herself to look back up. "I'm sorry. I don't mean to... to overstep or upset you in any way," Dany continued, tugging her bottom lip between her teeth. "I just... guess I'm not used to very much other than school and work so all of this is new to me." Dany's shoulders sagged as relief flooded her because at least she had better explained herself or so she thought.
Jon's heart skipped a beat as Charlotte spoke. He knew that in the long run, that was why he was here. He was supposed to get as much information on Jason and now, seemingly an innocent girl who really hadn't had much to do with anything when it cam right down to it. But he knew how the law worked and he knew when the time came for him to make the proper choice, that Charlotte would be taken down right along with Jason. Even if she paid a lot less for the crimes that Jason committed, she would still pay. She would be out her job, out of her living, and out one of her best friends.

At the mention of girlfriends and wives, Jon couldn't help but let out a bitter sounding laugh. The last girl that he had dated, Rose, had been a little spitfire but things had turned sour quick and Jon had removed himself from the relationship before it could get any worse than it already had managed to get. "I'm as single as they come."

Jon cleared his throat as he straightened, raising an eyebrow as he drummed his fingers on the edge of the counter. "I take it Jason pretty much scares off any guy that may come looking?" He asked, unable to stop the laugh that sounded from his lips. Hesitating, Jon's gaze dropped back down to the counter between them. "I can't say that I'd blame anyone for running the other way."

Jason waited until Dany sat down before he did as well, he gave her as much space as she needed because all of this was strange. He had never needed to pretend to have a girlfriend, but his colleagues were beginning to notice the lack in relationships and once that started it wouldn’t stop until Jason showed that he was dating. He knew most people wouldn’t care, but it was just for his appearance and he didn’t want his lawyer colleagues asking too many questions in case his other business came to light. “What are you studying?” He asked as he looked over at the brunette, she hadn’t tried to run out of his house just yet and she was very calm.

He wasn’t sure how she could be so calm, her brother had pretty much sold her so his debts would be covered and forgotten. Anyone who did that to family wasn’t someone Jason wanted around and he would never like Viserys, not that he did like the man right now but this was pushing things way too far. Jason was disgusted that anyone could do this to their own sibling, but that could be because all his life he had protected his family.

He waited for Dany to speak again, he was curious as to what she studied and where she worked. He wanted to tell her that she wouldn’t need to work anymore, but he didn’t because it was awkward enough between them. He didn’t want to make things worse, besides he wasn’t sure how long he’d need her around. So he wouldn’t want for her to quit her job and then in a few months’ time, she’s allowed to leave and live her own life again. Not that she was stuck there, of course she could leave and do whatever she wanted but Jason wasn’t sure how long he’d need her to be there for him.
Charlotte noticed the bitter tone in Jon’s laugh, apparently one of his relationships hadn’t been the best. Although she didn’t ask because it wasn’t any of her business, she nodded her head slightly at Jon’s question about her love life, or the lack of a love life. “He does, he hasn’t approved of any guy that is interested in me or that I’m interested in.” It was annoying because Charlotte wanted to have a boyfriend, later in life she wanted to get married and have a family of her own. But right now she’d settle for a boyfriend. Someone who loved her for who she was, who wasn’t threatened by Jason and someone who could just be there for her.

“He isn’t that scary,” She looked at Jon, “He hasn’t scared you off yet. You’ve lasted longer than others,” She told him as it was true, most who had tried to join the crew hadn’t lasted long because they freaked out after actually seeing Jason. She could see why guys were scared away from dating her, but when she hasn’t dated or been intimate with a guy for months on end. It takes a toll and Charlotte does become frustrated, to the point where she’s thought about having a secret relationship with a guy. But she knew she’d never do that, she couldn’t keep a secret from Jason.

Shock covered Dany's features as she looked up to Jason, her brows pulling together as she tilted her head to the side. She was trying to figure out why he was asking what she was going to school for. There was no way that Jason would care, it wasn't as if she would be able to offer any sort of help in his business. She had no real clue what he did, sure, but she doubted that being a veterinarian would be anything close to helpful for him. Opening and closing her mouth, Dany shrugged awkwardly and tugged at the bottom of her dress again.

Dany cleared her throat and drew in a deep breath, hesitating a moment longer before she raised her gaze to meet Jason's. "I hope to become a veterinarian one day. But," she paused, her eyes dropping back to the floor. She didn't want Jason to see her upset, that would only put herself in a bad light and she didn't want to push Jason's buttons. "I'm almost done the semester that I'm on and I can wait until this is... this is all over to finish. I likely won't have the time to dedicate that I would need and that's completely okay."

She knew that she was rambling now but she had started and now it seemed like she couldn't stop herself. "So long as you're okay with me finishing this semester, I can't tell you how much I would appreciate that. But... but whatever better suits you is fine. If it's not okay, it'll be fine."
Jon sipped at his drink, listening to Charlotte speak. He offered her a small smile, nodding as he let out a yawn. "Jason isn't in this business to hurt people or intimidate them or whatever," he rambled on, giving a shrug of his shoulders. He honestly believed that, now that he had gotten to know the man a bit better. "If you cross him, of course he isn't going to take too kindly to that. But I think that's a fair statement - most people wouldn't be all that happy if you crossed them. If just so happens that Jason is in a business where crossing someone doesn't just mean never talking to them again."

Looking up to Charlotte, Jon smiled easily as he leaned forward against the bar. "It's a shame, if you ask me. I wish that Jason would let loose a bit. I mean, if someone gained his trust, I don't see what the big deal would be. Wouldn't it be better that Jason know it was going on than it happening behind his back?" Jon's face scrunched as he shook his head. "But I guess it's not my place to question it, is it?"

Jason wasn’t shocked that Dany wanted to help sick animals, she seemed to be a very caring person naturally. He had been expecting her to yell and scream at him, tell him how disgusting and cruel he was for allowing her brother to do this. But she wasn’t, she was mostly calm in his presence and she wasn’t reacting badly to what her brother has done which did confuse him slightly. “Of course you can finish the semester, and I don’t see why you won’t be able to continue studying. I will mostly need you to accompany me to any parties which will take place at night, although these parties aren’t often.” He explained to her so if she wanted to continue studying next semester, he wouldn’t stop her as he didn’t think it was fair to make her put her life on hold.

Simply because her brother was a coward, “I must admit that you’re being very calm about this. I wasn’t expecting this from you, honestly.” Jason looked at Dany, it was obvious she was nervous as her fingers would fiddle with the hem of her dress every now and again. “Are you close to your brother?” He asked as he couldn’t understand how anyone could do something like this to family, but maybe other people didn’t see and treat family as well as he always did.
Charlotte shook her head, “I’d never keep anything from Jason. That’s why I’m still single, it has always taken Jason a longer time for him to trust someone. It’ll take time for him to trust you,” She spoke as she looked at Jon, Jon would gain Jason’s trust eventually but it will still happen. “Personally, I think Jason has seen me hurt enough times so he doesn’t want it to happen again. Or he just thinks that the guys who do show any interest in me, aren’t good enough for me.” Charlotte shrugged her shoulders light, she wasn’t entirely certain on why Jason scared away any guy that she did like but those are the reasons that made sense to her.

“He’ll trust someone at some point in time, or I’ll convince him if I need to.” She knew that if she truly fell in love with a man, Jason would come to terms with that and he would support them. But until that day came, he would continue protecting her until a man came along that wouldn’t break her heart.

The relief that Dany felt when Jason said she didn't need to stop studying washed over her features. Her shoulders relaxed, a small smirk forming on her lips. That had been her biggest concern, Dany had decided. She could handle having to take off after this semester but the fact that she had already paid for the one she was currently in? If she dropped out, she would still have to pay back her loans and it was already difficult enough to work her way through college on a few hours of sleep a night. "If I can finish the one I'm in right now, I can't begin to tell you how much I'd appreciate it. I just don't want the money to go to waste," she tried to explain, wincing at how pathetic she was sure she sounded.

Curling her shoulders in on herself, Dany picked at the bottom of her dress. "I'll have to stop after this one, it's fine," Dany answered with a shake of her head. She wasn't about to tell him that it was because she knew she wouldn't be able to work through another semester when she had to play the part of Jason's girlfriend. The few weeks remaining would be hard enough as it was.

Dany's head snapped up, confusion etching itself across her features as she eyed Jason. Why was he asking about her relationship with Viserys? She wanted to ask but she didn't want to question him, didn't want to give the wrong impression. She hesitated, her eyes scanning the room as she tried to find the right words to say. She didn't want to paint her brother in a bad light but if she was to be honest? "Um, well," Dany paused to take a deep breath. "We're both busy. I usually go to school and work and when I'm home, I study as much as I can. When I am home, Vic is usually out so we don't really get a lot of time together." That was the full truth - other than Dany trying to make time for her brother but largely being ignored.

Offering a sad smile, Dany could only shrug. "It doesn't matter. He remembers our parents, he's been through a lot more than I have. I can't really be upset with him over anything."
Jon gave a light smile, nodding his head. His eyes dropped to the table in front of him. He couldn't deny that Charlotte was a beautiful woman, there was no way that he could. But Jason was clearly protective of the blonde and knowing that one day he would have to betray them, Jon swore he would never give in to any urges. He would never kiss her, he would never flirt with her because that would cause more pain that it was worth. Betrayed by a significant other? And besides, there was no real guarantee that Charlotte would even be interested in his advances.

Clearing his throat, Jon pushed to his feet after setting his glass down. "Is there, er, anything I can do to help prepare for the get together later on?" He asked, raising an eyebrow. If he was going to be hanging around for the next few hours before anything started, Jon figured that he minus well put himself to use.
