Jason could understand where Dany was coming from, when he in a similar position he never did anything that would waste a cent of the money he did have. He knew how precious money was and never threw it away, so if she wanted to finish the semester she was studying then she’d be able to. However it did make him wonder if her brother did anything in the way of supporting her, it didn’t sound like he ever did as she still had to study and work at the same time. That was something Jason didn’t understand, he had never been put into that situation as he had worked hard until he could comfortably pay for law school.

“You can be upset with him, I gave him many chances to walk away with whatever money he earned from jobs. He refused each time, I hardly give chances like that but I do know about your parents. It was my way of trying to help him, I would speak with him but he never once cared to listen.” Jason wasn’t completely heartless, he had tried to help Visery by either letting him leave or talking to him and trying to get the man to open up. Nothing worked so Jason decided Visery could lead his life in any way that he truly wanted, “Just because he remembers your parents. Doesn’t give him a right to treat you like this, to use the money he earned on himself when you’re putting yourself through college.” He’d never understand why many families couldn’t help and support each other, they shared the same blood and that should be bonding.
Charlotte watched as Jon got to his feet and asked if he could help get ready for the night, “You could make sure the barbeque is clean.” She sent him a smile as that was one job she wasn’t going to do, “All the cleaning supplies are beside the barbeque in a wooden box,” She told him as the get together would be outside in the backyard, a space that Charlotte adored and was often found relaxing in. The barbeque wasn’t going to be formal and no business was going to be mentioned, there would be heaps of food and drinks and the crew would just get to know both Jon and Dany.

Once Jon agreed, Charlotte watched as he made his way through the French doors that took him onto the deck. She wasn’t blind, she was utterly attracted to Jon. For right now it was a physical attraction because he was quite handsome, however she knew he’d probably wouldn’t ever go for her. Not with Jason being his boss, he wasn’t stupid enough to risk his new job just because he wanted something from her. But that didn’t mean Charlotte wouldn’t be able to still look at Jon, smiling to herself she started pulling food from the fridge as she decided to make all the salads and garlic breads now.

Dany couldn't stop the bitter laugh that passed through her lips as Jason spoke, shaking her head slowly. She looked down to her hands, smoothing out her skirt as she shrugged. "Vic never was good at listening to people talk. I wish I could tell you that I was surprised but I'm honestly not at all. He doesn't really know how to express himself and I don't think he ever will. Losing our parents messed him up in more ways than either of us will be able to understand." Dany looked away, her eyes narrowing a bit as she studied the backyard through the window in the living room. She used to wonder all the time what it would have been like had she known her parents, though she had gotten better about it. Doing so had only ever served to depress her but in the moment, she couldn't really help it.

Tugging her bottom lip between her teeth, Dany drew in a deep breath and exhaled slowly as she turned back toward Jason. "Perhaps not but he is blood and fighting him wouldn't make the situation any better than it is," she spoke quietly, offering Jason a forced smile. "I can help around the house whenever I am not in school," Dany began, glancing around to keep from studying Jason for too long. She didn't want to offend him, she could only imagine what he would think if she stared for too long. It certainly wouldn't be that she thought he was attractive.

"And please, I can't stay here for nothing in return. That wouldn't be right," Dany tried to reason, hoping that Jason would let her help out around the home. She was sure that she would go crazy sitting around such a grande home with nothing to do at any time of day.
Jon glanced out the french doors, hesitating for a moment. It was strange to him that he was being so welcomed in Jason's home. Sure, he was now part of the crew but he hadn't expected to be so integrated, so quickly. He turned back to Charlotte and offered her a smile, giving a small nod. "I think I can do that," he said, wringing his hands together as he headed out to the backyard. In awe of just how beautiful it was, Jon had to take pause to look around and just take in what he was seeing. After a moment, Jon headed over to the barbecue and began to clean it.

Twenty or so minutes later, Jon returned and headed right over to the sink so that he could wash his hands. "Is there any food prep or anything that I can help with?" He asked as he turned to Charlotte. He figured that it was probably better to leave Jason and Dany to themselves and he didn't want to bother them so he figured offering any help he could to Charlotte was probably his best choice at the moment.

Jason looked at Dany as she spoke, he knew exactly what it was like to lose both parents. His parents had passed on a few years ago, so he understood what her brother had gone through but he also didn’t turn out as cold hearted as her brother did. Maybe he was that way before their parents died, Jason didn’t know and he didn’t care about Visery. He was glad the man didn’t work from him anymore, he was more trouble than he was worth. There was only a short few seconds where their eyes actually met before Dany looked away from him again, she didn’t look at him for long and he wondered if she was nervous or uncomfortable or if she couldn’t stand looking at him.

“If you wish then you can help around here,” He agreed knowing that she might get bored not having anything to do in his home, although he had a media room with a bar fridge and a popcorn maker for movies. He had a game room with a pool table and a big screen television for playing video games, he had a pool and hot tub. But maybe she wasn’t interested in any of those things, “If you have any hobbies, I will buy you things if you need something or I will send a man to the house if you left something there.” He told her as he didn’t want her helping out around his home all the time whenever she had spare time, her spare time was her’s and he wanted her to spend it however she wanted.
Charlotte moved around the large kitchen as she got all the sides ready, every now and again her eyes would find Jon outside. A few times she caught herself staring at the flexed muscles of his arms as he cleaned the barbecue, however every time she caught herself she’d shake any thoughts from her mind. There was no way in hell that Jon would be even slightly interested in her, not when he was that attractive. She looked up when his voice hit her ears, “Um… yeah, you could boil those potatoes for me.” She had already peeled and cut the potatoes, but she hadn’t boiled them yet for the potato salad she was going to make yet.

“Do you cook much?” She asked as she make the dressing for another salad, she was probably the most relaxed when she was in the kitchen. She had always enjoyed cooking and baking, she learnt everything she knew from her Mom who used to work in a bakery. Charlotte was always there in the bakery after school and on weekends, being in the kitchen made her feel closer to her mom as she lived a few hours away so they didn’t get to see each other as often as what they’d both like.

Dany knew that she should have been afraid of Jason but she really wasn't - she knew that she should have been disgusted by the things she was almost positive he had done and the things that had been done by Jason's command but she simply couldn't bring herself to be. She didn't get the feeling from Jason that he did things just because, she had the feeling that a lot of what the man did was because he had to. That Jason's hand was forced on the occasion, to do things he probably wouldn't have wanted to do if he had been given the choice. Clearing her throat, Dany looked back up when Jason began to speak.

Be attentive, Daenerys. Have I taught you nothing? Dany flinched at the sudden words that were very nearly shouted in her mind. Her eyes widened as she looked around, half expecting to find her brother glaring down his nose at her. A blush crept onto her features when she realized how silly she had to look when she caught Jason's eye again.

"I did leave some art supplies at my home but please, you don't have to send anyone for them. I'm sure that I'll be able to find plenty of things to keep me occupied around here and besides, knowing Vic," Dany paused to take a deep breath. "Knowing him, he's probably already thrown out everything that I left behind." She hadn't even thought about it until just now but she knew her brother well enough to not be the least bit surprised by the sudden realization. "It's not worth it, just... I promise it's fine."
Jon wasted no time in heading over to the stove and beginning to boil a pot of water. As he waited for the water to heat up, he crossed his arms and turned to face Charlotte. He studied her movements and with nothing else left for him to do, he didn't think he would get in that much trouble. After all, if Jason saw and got mad at him, he could just easily argue that he had been spending time with Charlotte so she wasn't lonely, right?

"I used to," Jon answered with a shrug of his shoulders. Most of his backstory wasn't a lie so it was easy enough for Jon to simply talk about his past, without it seeming fake or forced in any fashion. "One of my foster mothers was this little old Italian woman. She taught me everything I know about cooking," he said, a small smile finding its way onto his lips. "She was wonderful, everything anyone could have ever asked for in a mother. Though, you have to remember to never mess with an Italian woman who is cooking. Wooden spoons, they hurt when you get smacked with one."

Jason made a mental note, he’d get someone from his crew to go out tomorrow. Either go to Dany’s home and collect her art supplies, or go to a craft store and buy whatever they found and thought she might enjoy. He hoped for Dany’s sake that her brother has left her belongings, if he has thrown her stuff out after being gone for less than a day that would only make Jason dislike the man more. That would be like going into his garage and throwing away all his tools that he used when he played with car engines, or ripping out all the flowers in his yard because he actually did enjoy gardening.

Only his crew knew that working in his garden or working on a car was an easy way for him to relax and distress, “Do you paint or draw?” He asked Dany, he had no creativity at all. He could barely draw a stick figure without it looking like a young child drew it, he’s never been one to find art interesting or enjoyable. But he was glad that Dany did, so far she was completely different to what he had been expecting. In a good way, of course.
Charlotte smiled as Jon told her that he did cook and that he learnt from a foster mother, “My Grandma used to keep her wooden spoon in the front pocket of her apron. She said it was the easiest place to grab it, I always used to steal a taste of whatever she was cooking.” She smiled at the memory as she turned so she could look at Jon, “Maybe you could help me out in the kitchen when Jason holds a dinner.” She suggested as she was usually the only one in the kitchen, unless Jason hires a chef to prepare the meal. Which Charlotte usually tells him not to, she didn’t mind cooking for the crew.

She normally bakes the crew sweet treats in her spare time anyway, and being in the kitchen surrounded by good food comforts her. “No one else can cook, Lou tried to help me once but he ended up nearly burning the kitchen down.” She laughed softly as she knew Jon would grow to love Lou, like everyone did. He was the father figure of the group, the first man that Jason invited into his crew as Lou had worked for Jason’s father when he was younger.

Dany had made friends with a lot of her classmates, enough that she had interesting conversations and the same could be said about her coworkers. But she still wasn't used to how in depth Jason was trying to push the conversation. Viserys had told her to be seen and not heard. That Jason wanted nothing to do with her, that she was nothing more that a hot little piece of ass to warm his bed. It was nice though, the way that Jason seemed to want to get to know her. In the back of her mind, she thought she was being naive about him but she ignored the feeling in the pit of her stomach. Maybe Jason wasn't that horrible, maybe he really wasn't all of the bad things that he was involved in sometimes.

"I draw," Dany explained quietly, leaning back against the couch as she slowly grew more comfortable. "Mostly things out of sort of.. fairytales so you honestly probably wouldn't be interested in them," Dany added with a shrug of her shoulders. She bit down on her lap as she crossed her ankles, setting her hands on her knees. "I'll probably spend most of my time with that if it's alright with you. Obviously if you ever need me to help with things or whatever, I'll be available." Dany felt foolish to be acting like she called the shots but she also felt like it was right to let Jason know that she didn't... mind.
Jon looked up as Charlotte began to explain about her grandmother, unable to hide the grin that broke out on his lips. He let out a quiet chuckle, turning back to the pot on the stove. When he noticed that the water had begun to boil, Jon placed the potatoes into the water. He cleared his throat, glancing over to Charlotte again with a gentle smile. He was at ease in the kitchen, he always had been. Charlotte's presence in the kitchen just made it better, Jon noticed despite how wrong it was. It was nice to be cooking with someone else who seemed to enjoy the act just as much as he did.

"I don't see why not. Does Jason ever hold the parties inside or normally out?" Jon asked after a moment, frowning as he looked around the kitchen. It was probably the biggest kitchen he had seen all on his own and then the fact that it was an open concept between the kitchen and dining room certainly added to how grande the room felt. "I mean, it's got to get awfully boring if you're inside while the party is outside all the time..." he trailed off, shaking his head as he looked up to Charlotte.

Jason had been waiting for Dany’s body language to change, to signal that she was slowly growing a little more comfortable being there and being near him. When he noticed the change, he grinned to himself. It was the slightest and if he hadn’t been watching for it, he could have easily missed it. “No, I’m interested. I’d love to see anything that you draw, if you’d like to show me.” He put the offer out there for her, if she wanted to show him some of her art then he’d be more than happy to take a look.

But if it was more private to her, then that was fine as well. It was like when he was making a plan for his business or he was working on a deal, he never told anyone about it until he was certain about it. Charlotte didn’t even know most of the things he was currently working on, that was just how he liked to work. Jason gave a nod of his head, if she wanted to spend most of her time drawing then he was fine with that. “That’s fine with me, when I do need you I’ll be sure to give you at least two days’ notice if not more.” He told her as most of the functions he wanted her at, were planned in advance so he’d be able to tell her a few days or even weeks beforehand.
Charlotte finished what she was doing and set all the food aside, “Most of the time Jason hires a chef. But the times when I’m cooking, I try to have all the food ready so I can be outside and enjoying the party.” She had told Jason that she would cook, she thought it would be nicer for Dany in a way and it would seem more relaxed. But it wasn’t often that she was in the kitchen, Jason preferred to hire staff to cater for his team. Turning around so she was facing Jon, she leaned against the kitchen counter as they just had to wait for the potatoes to cook now.

“Do you have any hobbies, other than being in a kitchen?” She asked him as she wanted to know more about him, if he was going to be in the team then he wouldn’t be able to hide anything from them. They were a family and were very close, she trusted Jason’s decision to invite Jon to join the team and it was usually Jason who asked all of the questions. But he was a little busy now with Dany, so Charlotte decided to be the one who made sure Jon wasn’t going to betray them and stab them in the back.

Dany's eyes shot up to meet Jason's, brows pulling together as he expressed an interest in the art that she made. She remembered the last time that she had tried to show Viserys her paintings. It had been a few years, at least, but she knew well enough to never try it again. Viserys had destroyed her painting and chastised her for bothering him when he had far better things to do as he put it. Sighing at the memory, Dany glanced down to her lap, biting down on the inside of her lip. "I mean, I guess if you really want to see them. But you don't have to either. I know how boring it can get if you don't relate or whatever."

Dany couldn't help but frown as she looked up to Jason, tilting her head to the side. Viserys had made it seem like her time here would be absolutely dreadful and the worst months of her life and yet, Jason had been nothing but kind to her. "You don't..." Dany paused, her brows pulling together as she looked back down to her lap. She smoothed out her skirt, shifting a bit before continuing. "Don't have to give me so much notice if it's easier for you. I mean, I am here for you, right?" Dany was positive that she probably sounded incredibly awkward but she didn't know how else to word it.
Jon always got a bit uneasy when he was asked what he liked to do in his spare time because what if he accidentally slipped up or something? He had no way of knowing what would happen should he - would Jason off him? He found that to be the most likely option and he somehow doubted that it would be quickly. He would likely end up begging for it all to end with no end in sight for him.

"Reading," Jon answered after a moment, crossing his arms as he shrugged. "About historical societies and the like. I don't know what it is about them but I've always been drawn to them. Something about what people did hundreds and even thousands of years ago and how different my life would be if I had grown up in such an era..." Jon trailed off, smiling sheepishly. He turned away from Charlotte, testing a few of the potatoes with a fork. Deciding that they were finished, he began to drain them. "You said you wanted to do mashed potatoes with these, right?"

Jason didn’t like how Dany seemed to always doubt herself, he had asked to see her art because he actually wanted to see it. Not because he was trying to be nice, if he didn’t want to see what she did in her spare time then he wouldn’t have asked. “You need to stop doubting yourself, and I will give you plenty of warning. Just because this is happening, doesn’t mean you have to stop living your life.” He explained to her as he didn’t want her to feel like she had to change or stop everything in her life, because this was happening to her against her will. Jason stood up from his chair and held his large hand out for Dany to take, he had enough of chatting for now. “Let me show you the back yard, it’s time I started cooking dinner.” He told her as he was beginning to get hungry, so he waited for her to place her much smaller hand into his.

Her skin was incredibly soft and fair compared to his naturally tanned complexion, he helped her to her feet before his hand found the small of her back so he could guide her through his house. Briefly stopping in the kitchen so he could gather all the steak, burger patties and sausages that he needed to cook. “What do you normally eat?” He asked hoping that she wasn’t vegan or vegetarian, he hadn’t even thought about that until now.
Charlotte smiled softly as she listened to Jon, he liked to read about the past history which was a rare feature to come across these days. All the guys that she met where into looking good and going to the gym and following all the latest treads, Charlotte didn’t want to be with someone like that. Who would spend more time in front of the mirror than she did, or who spent all their spare time working out. “That’s interesting and not something that I hear every day from a guy, I wish I had enough time to read and actually enjoy it.” But with how crazy work could be, she just didn’t have the time to sit down and read.

“And yes, mashed potatoes please.” She told him as she grabbed all the meat from the fridge and handed it all over to Jason when he walked passed, she sent a smile to Dany who seemed rather calm. Which she hadn’t been expecting at all, but at least she wasn’t screaming or putting up a fight. She watched as Jason took her out onto the back deck, she didn’t trust the brunette yet. Sure she seemed nice, but this could end horribly if Dany decided to go running to the cops.

Dany's brows pulled together a bit as Jason spoke, her eyes moving up to meet his. Her mouth opened, a simple question slipping to the tip of her tongue. Why? She couldn't figure out why she thought Jason was acting as if he cared so much about her. It was a welcome change, she couldn't deny that, but she was unnerved. Jason was a man she had just met an hour ago yet he was showing her more interest and more care than her own brother had for as long as she could remember. She was thankful when Jason put an end to the conversation, not wanting to upset him by questioning him or anything of the sort. Clearing her throat, Dany smoothed down her dress before taking Jason's hand, moving to her feet. She followed him out to the backyard, her eyes widening as she looked up.

"Honestly? I'm on your average college student diet," Dany admitted with a shrug of her shoulders, her cheeks tinging a light pink. "Ramen and frozen meals if they're on sale," she explained, keeping a few steps away from the grill so that she wouldn't be in Jason's way. "Fish is my favourite though," Dany said, grinning up at Jason. She cleared her throat, reaching up to rub her arm as she watched Jason begin cooking the various meats. "One time, we went out to this nice restaurant for Vic's birthday and they had the most delicious surf and turf. With these potatoes that were wrapped in a wonton wrapper and topped with everything that comes on loaded potatoes. If I get the chance, I can try making them for you."
Jon grinned a bit as he tilted his head to the side, turning to finish off the mashed potatoes. He seasoned them before sticking a scoop into the bowl so that they would be able to easily plate them once they were all outside. Clearing his throat, he glanced up to watch as Charlotte handed the plate of meats over to Jason. His attention was more focused on the girl that accompanied Jason though. A slight frown formed on his lips as he tilted his head to the side. Jason wanted to ask who the girl was but he thought better of it, at least while Jason was still in the room.

Once they were alone once again, Jon turned toward Charlotte. He cleared his throat, drawing in a deep breathe before he decided to ask the question that stuck to the tip of his tongue. "Who's the girl with him? I know I haven't met everyone in the crew yet but I guess I didn't realize that Jason had a girlfriend," Jon commented, offering up a tiny smile, hoping to brush off how suspicious the question could be perceived as. "Or at least, one that he's interested in."

Jason grinned to himself as he started to cook dinner for everyone, he used to live off ramen when he struggled for money. He never could take money or a hand out from anyone, not even Charlotte or her parents who always tried to help him. Either by loaning him money so he could pay his bills or invite him over for dinner every night of the week, “Then we’ll have fish next time as well.” He told her as he didn’t want this whole ordeal to be negative on her, he wasn’t sure how long Dany would be around but for the time she was there he didn’t want her to be miserable. He would go out of his way to make sure that she was comfortable and felt welcomed in his home, he didn’t care about the reason she was there.

Jason chuckled softly to himself as his eyes found the beautiful brunette, “You could try making them. Or I could take you back to that restaurant, do you remember the name or where it is?” He asked because if she had a nice time at that restaurant then he would take her back there for dinner, he enjoyed going out for meals and finding new placed to eat. And it was always better when he had good company, and so far there wasn’t anything about Dany that he didn’t like.
Charlotte glanced over at Jon and frowned lightly at the question he asked, she found it strange because Jon was still brand new. He had only just met Jason an hour ago, and Jason always kept his personal life private from his businesses. “It’s complicated, besides I didn’t think you’d be so interested in your boss’ love life.” She looked at the male standing in the kitchen with her, maybe she had been in this business for too long but she could feel her guard going up. Maybe Jason did jump into hiring Jon too quickly, Charlotte just didn’t think someone so new to the team should be asking questions like that about their boss.

But to keep her from looking into it anymore, she grabbed two bowls of salad and carried them out onto the back deck. Placing them at either end of the large wooden dining table, she could hear the guys outside laughing loudly as they waited for the dinner to begin. She wouldn’t say anything to Jason just yet, but she was going to keep a close eye on Jon from now on in case he was there for the wrong reason. Stepping back into the kitchen she went to grab the last two bowls, but couldn’t when Jon took them into his hands and carried them to the table instead. Was she overreacting? Charlotte wasn’t sure, but she also didn’t want to make the night awkward for anyone.

Dany's eyes widened as she began to shake her head, almost frantic in nature. She opened her mouth before quickly shutting it, when she realized that she wasn't too sure what she should say. "Please. That's really not necessary," Dany finally spoke, her eyes still slightly wider than normal. She didn't want to come off as ungrateful but she certainly didn't want Jason to think that he had to cater to her needs. Vic's warning bounced around in her mind and she took a moment, swallowing around the lump in her throat before she spoke again. "I just, I promise. A cheeseburger is more than enough for me." She offered what she hoped was a warm smile before her gaze dropped back to her feet. Sh suddenly felt rather nervous, afraid that she had crossed a line that she shouldn't have.

Reaching up, she rubbed her arm in an attempt to help calm herself down. She cleared her throat, shrugging as she toed at the ground. Dany's heart was pounding so hard that she was almost positive that Jason had to be able to hear it. Surely, that would just be another way she got on his nerves. "No, no. It's okay, I think I can make them and I mean, it'll be cheaper that way and then at least they're customizable, right?" She was trying to make it seem like the better idea for reasons other than just not wanting to be an inconvenience so she hoped that it worked.
Jon could practically see Charlotte's walls going back up and it raised a red flag for him. If he stepped too far out of line, he was sure that Jason would figure out what he was actually doing here and that was one of the last things he wanted. He was sure that if Jason figured it out, there would be no saving him. He wouldn't be able to contact his support in enough time for them to come in as back up before Jason either killed him or had him killed by someone else. Pushing away the uneasiness, Jon decided it was best to leave the situation alone. Not even trying to recover, Jon followed Charlotte out to the back yard.

Clearing his throat once Jon had set the bowl of mashed potatoes down, wondering if he should introduce himself to Jason's crew. He decided that it was best to wait it out and see because he thought that Jason may want to introduce him to everyone instead. Lingering by the table, Jon decided to head over to the grill where Jason and Dany were. He smiled slightly, cocking his head to the side. "Hey, Jason. Anything that I can help you with at all?"

Jason wasn’t blind, he knew what Dany was trying to do and it wasn’t going to work. He would agree with her for now, but he would still find this restaurant and take her to it. After all she seemed like she deserved to have something nice given to her, just because she had an asshole for an older brother. She had been thrown into this and hadn’t made a fuss which Jason had been expecting, she was taking all of this on the chin and hadn’t once complained.

“Alright then, you can make them if you would like.” He pretended to give in and put her mind at ease, because it was because she had just arrived and wanted to make a good first impression on him. Or she was scared because of the stories she had heard about him, Jason could tell she was holding back from being herself and being comfortable there. Which he could understand. His dark eyes moved over onto the new guy when he offered his help, he glanced over to Charlotte and saw the look on her face. She wasn’t sure about something, it was either Jon or Dany or it could have been both. “Call the guys up here for me, dinners ready.” He spoke as he turned the food a few more times before serving the hot food, “Sit down and eat. What drink would you like?” He asked Dany as she seemed a little out of place, he wanted to get her settled at the table before the crew all rushed over.
Charlotte poured herself a glass of red wine and also got herself a bottle of water, she sat down at the table and filled her plate with food. “You might want to hurry, once the boys get here you’ll struggle to get any food. Trust me,” She smiled at Dany as the crew never really had manners when it came to food, not even when Charlotte was around. She learnt quickly that she had to get in first, and get enough food on her plate to fill her stomach as there wouldn’t be another chance. “Here take as much as you can,” Charlotte helped Dany by putting all the sides and salads onto her plate, she didn’t know any better and the entire situation would be pretty overwhelming to a new comer. She smiled when Jason brought over their drinks, something he never did for anyone besides Charlotte and it made her smile as Jason may have just met his match.

“You better not be spreading lies about us again, Lottie.” Hayden smirked as he took the seat that was empty besides Dany, his British accent still strong after years living in the States. “Don’t listen to her, sweetheart.” He smiled at Dany which made the dimples in his cheeks show, “I’m Hayden and it’s a pleasure you meet you.” He offered his hand for Dany to shake, when she did he brought the back of her hand to his lips. Which only caused Jason to roll his eyes at his second in command, “Feel free to slap him. I have many times before and so has nearly every other woman he’s flirted with,” Charlotte told Dany as that was just how Hayden was, although he’d never actually try anything with anyone who Jason was interested in. As he wouldn’t betray anyone in that way.

Dany couldn't decide what she was feeling at the moment. She knew that it was only a matter of moments before she would be fully introduced to Jason's crew. She was here to play the part of his girlfriend and she hoped that she did well. Up until now, Dany had never dated a boy before, let alone something like kiss one. Would Jason want to kiss her in front of people? She was sure that it would eventually come to that because there was no way that they wouldn't question it if she never once kissed Jason in front of them. Biting down on the inside of her lip, she followed Jason over to the table. Dany sat up a bit straighter, doing her best to plate what she thought she would eat. She didn't want to take too much and seem ungrateful if she didn't finish all of her food.

In the middle of thanking Jason for the lemonade, Hayden approached and Dany was quick to turn to him. She couldn't help but blush when Hayden kissed her hand. It was about as intimate as she had ever gotten with a guy and besides, Hayden was attractive. She glanced toward Charlotte, shrugging as she pulled her hand away from him. "It's just harmless, I think. No intention," she replied quietly. Dany was trying to give Hayden the benefit of the doubt. While she didn't know very much about the dynamic of their organization, she didn't want Hayden in trouble. She doubted Hayden actually meant anything by his flirting especially since Jason was sitting right beside her.
Jon was the first to sit down after calling the guys over. He hesitated, waiting for the girls to finish plating their food before he even started reaching for anything. Over the past few hours, it had become abundantly clear to Jon just how important the two girls were to Jason. He had thought to ask about Jason's relationship part because he thought it might give him some sort of information that he could relay to his boss. But he had also thought it would show that he was interested and wanted to be involved in all aspects of the life here. Charlotte's reaction to his question had been all he needed to know he should back off. Whatever information that came his way, he would simply have to wait for. No prying, not any time soon.

Clearing his throat, Jon sat up a bit straighter once everyone started eating. He thought it was funny how everyone had gotten quiet, focused on the food in front of them. He looked from side to side before looking up to Jason. "Delicious food, man. Is there anything you can't do?" Jon joked, trying to keep the mood as light as he could.
