Wash the Devil From My Hands

Jeffrey watched her, his facial expression one that could only be described as incredulous, his brows pulling together on his forehead. When she pushed the food away from herself, his eyes narrowed in on her, the back of his throat turning dry. He watched as she tried to hide herself away from him, sinking into the bed that he had so diligently picked out for the young girl.

Jeffery wasn’t sure how to even describe the emotion that was taking him over by surprise. Was he hurt? Angry? Pissed? Sad? His tongue flicked out to run across his lower lip, clearing his throat before he decided to speak again. “I’ll leave you alone for now, but you need to eat the damn food, Kaylee. I’ll be back up here in an hour or so and if the food isn’t gone we are going to have some problems. Understood?”

Kaylee was more than relieved when Jeffrey left the room, standing just long enough to set the plate of food on the nightstand before she pushed her shoes off. There was no sense in trying to run, there was nowhere for her to go. Pulling back the covers on the bed, Kaylee climbed under them and settled into the mattress.

She wasn't taking Jeffrey's comment seriously, intent on falling asleep in the bed. It took the better part of the hour of tossing and turning befor eher mind finally slowed long enough that she could slip under.

Keeping to his word, Jeffery pulled himself from the sofa and made his way back upstairs. He pushed open her bedroom door, only to find her sleeping in the bed. His eyes scoured the room, finding the sandwich that he had made for her on the floor. His eyes narrowed and he began to get a little upset.

“Kaylee,” he spoke loudly, just loud enough to stir her from her sleep. “Kaylee! I told you that I needed you to eat that food. You’re going to have to stay in here until you finish it, I can’t have you wasting groceries like this.”

Kaylee bolted upright in bed, her eyes widening as she looked over to Jeffrey. Her heart skipped a beat and she scrambled to the far edge of the bed, trying to get as far away from him as she could. "No," she answered with a slight shake of her head.

"I'm not hungry!" Kaylee exclaimed, her eyes narrowing a bit as she shook her head. "And I sure as hell don't trust you. You just kidnapped me!" Deep down, Kaylee knew it was stupid to be arguing with him but the idea of listening to him made her skin crawl. "It's not like you're going to let me go if I eat so thanks, but I'm good."

“If you want to play this the hard way, we can Kaylee.” Jeffery spoke, his tone bold an serious. He knew that he just had to let her hit her breaking point—and then the real fun, the real reason why she was here with him would be able to ensue. He knew that there would be a point to where she would finally decide to give up and give in.

“I know that you are pretty damn emotional right now, but you just need to calm down.” He mentioned. “You’re really going to have to calm down in order for this to work.”

The laugh that fell from Kaylee's lips was bitter and she wanted nothing more than to reach out and slap Jeffrey. He was speaking like she was expected to just shut up and listen to what he was asking of her. Normally, she was submissive to pretty much anyone and did what was asked of her but it wasn't as if she had even remotely be told about this happening.

"I don't want any of this to work, you idiot!" Kaylee hissed through gritted teeth, balling her hands into fists at her sides. "You're delusional. That's what you are!"

Jeffrey’s eyes widened at her outburst, his fists clenching together. His fingernails dug into the palms of his hands as he took a step back. “You wanna do this the hard way? Fine.”

Jeffrey opened the door and went to leave the room, his eyes narrowing as he turned back to look at her. “You can stay in here until you decide to be a good girl, understood? When you decide that you want to hear what I have to offer you, you call for me. But until then, you’re staying in here.”

Jeffrey exited the room and locked it from the outside, ensuring that Kaylee wouldn’t be able to leave the room.

Kaylee was on her feet the moment the door shut, only to freeze when the lock clicked shut. Her shoulders sagged as she realised there was nowhere else for her to go. She sighed, shuffling back over to the bed so that she could sit back down. Quiet, she tucked her feet under her and studied the wall.

The better part of an hour passed before she realized she was, in fact hungry. Kaylee reluctantly lifted the plate of food from the floor and began to munch on it.

Time continued to pass until Kaylee realized she had to go to the bathroom. She began to pace back and forth in the room, trying to distract herself until it became damn near unbearable. Huffing under her breath, Kaylee moved to the door and tested it. It didn't budge, not that she was remotely surprised. She hesitated for a moment before knocking on the door. "Let me out. I have to go to the bathroom," she called, hoping that he could hear her.

Jeffrey kept himself busy for the better part of the hour, his mind racing with everything he wanted to explore with the girl. But considering the outburst she had earlier, was all of this even going to work for them anyways? Jeffrey was hoping that his efforts weren’t ruined and that in due time everything would work itself out.

Jeffrey was lost deep in thought as he sat on the sofa, only breaking his concentration when he heard her voice calling out. He pulled himself up and made his way up the stairs to her room, unlocking it and opening the door. He pointed down the hall, his deep voice explaining to her, “Down the hall on the right.”

Kaylee hadn't expected for Jeffrey to actually come let her out of the room, he didn't seem to care about her desires before so why would he suddenly start now? She quickly ducked her head, rushing to the bathroom. She shut the door behind her, hand instinctively moving to lock the door, only to frown when she noticed that there was no lock on it. Muttering under her breath, Kaylee went to the bathroom and washed her hands before leaving the bathroom.

She froze when she noticed Jeffrey still standing outside of the door to what he had dubbed her room. Kaylee's stomach twisted into a nervous knot as she took a small step backward, not that there was anywhere for her to go. "What do you want?" She all but barked out, crossing her arms over her torso.

Jeffrey’s heart pounded in his chest as he received the attitude from the girl. He knew that she wasn’t ready to receive the information he needed to give to her. You, I want you. I want to take care of you. I want you to be my baby. I want to show you your room with all the animals you told me you liked, I want to keep you safe. I want to show you that you don’t have to have such a damn attitude all the time. I want to punish you for that attitude and your words in such a delicious way….

“Uh,” Jeffery cleared his throat. “We can talk about what it is I want when you have settled in. You aren’t ready for it yet.”

Kaylee had braced herself for something worse than what Jeffrey said but she was more than relieved. If he just kept thinking she wasn't ready, maybe this would get easier and she would get the chance to leave sooner.

SHe turned away from him, stalking toward the bedroom despite how close Jeffrey was standing to the door. "Good," she paused, her back to him. "Then I guess you know where I'll be when you decide I'm ready," Kaylee grumbled, moving to shut the door behind her.

Jeffrey followed her, hot on her heels, into she shut the door almost directly in his face. He ignored the flash of agitation that reverberated through his chest. He reached out and pushed the door open with ease. When he stepped in the room he saw her sitting on her bed. His head tilted as he watched her for just a few moments.

“You know it’s not about when I deem that you are ready,” He stated as he leaned against the door frame. “It’s about when you think you’re ready… And you better get used to bein’ here, cuz sweetheart, you’re not going anywhere else.”

Kaylee had been so ready to lay back down and hopefully fall asleep but before she even had the chance to slip under the covers, Jeffrey had appeared. She froze, her eyes narrowing as she looked up to him.

"Ready? That's a load of crap and you know it is! I never asked for you to kidnap me, I never asked to be brought here!" Kaylee shouted, shaking her head. "You're crazy if you think that I'm going to... I don't know. Think that you're Tyler, or like you the way that I liked him. You're a creep of an old man who probably can't find a woman his own age because he's so damn creepy!" She exclaimed, throwing her hands out to her sides.

Jeffrey’s eyes widened and he stalked toward her with a few broad strides. His hands were balled up at his sides has his eyes narrowed on the mouthy girl laying in the bed. “Rule number one, you don’t speak to me like that in this house.”

Jeffrey tilted his head, “If you liked Tyler then you damn sure like me too, little girl, because I was Tyler all along, don’t you get that?” He reached out, his fingertips brushing along her forehead for a moment. “You’ll learn, and you’ll learn soon and quickly. Understood? You aren’t going anywhere. You’re mine now.”

Kaylee yelped, jerking away from Jeffrey's touch. She scrambled backward, her eyes narrowing as she glared up to him. "I'm not some slave or something," she hissed, shaking her head as she continued to back away from him. Kaylee's shoulders tensed as her back hit the wall the bed was against.

"You're not Tyler and I don't like you!" Kaylee shouted, her frustration beginning to blossom as she glared up at him. "And don't call me that. You know my name so use it, old man."

“Oh, you wont be a slave.” He chuckled lowly, “And I can promise you, that you will probably like everything we will be doing. Its about you as well, Kaylee. The sooner you understand that the sooner you can start to enjoy our time with one another.” Jeffrey took a few steps back, his eyes still narrowing in on her; he had truly had enough of her smart mouth.

“Until you decide to change that smart, sassy attitude of yours you will continue to stay in this room. When you decide to cooperate, I’ll let you explore. I know for a fact that I have plenty of things that you will enjoy.” He mumbled as he walked out of the room once more.

Kaylee huffed, looking around and scooping up her pillow to throw it at the closed door. She had wanted something that would make more an impact but there had been nothing in reach for her. "Crazy," she muttered under her breath. Kaylee huffed and laid down, ignoring the lack of a pillow now.

She rolled over, putting her back to the door so that she could attempt to get some more sleep. There was nothing else left for her to do and she was nowhere ready to bow down and listen to Jeffrey.

Jeffrey was new his whole situation. He hadn’t even taken things this far before, but, there was something about Kaylee that made him go that extra mile to acquire her presence. He wanted to correct her actions, he wanted to show her the way he wanted them to live—but he wasn’t quite sure how to go about it. He wanted to punish her for her smart mouth, but at the same time, he wanted to make her his baby girl—he wanted to care for her and provide for her.

A few hours had passed; Jeffrey decided to try and let her calm down and cool off, maybe try and get some rest. He knew her emotions were at an all time high. Before long, he was knocking on her bedroom door and pushing it open. “Kaylee?”

Kaylee had slipped into an uneasy slumber but was bolted awake the moment that she heard a knock at the door. Her eyes flew open and her breath caught, her heart pounding wildly in her chest. She drew her shoulders together, her knuckles turning white where she gripped the blanket to her body.

"What?" She forced the word out, trying to keep her emotions as restrained as possible. Kaylee was feeling defeated, knowing that there was no real place for her to go and that Jeffrey wasn't about to let her go any time soon. "I just... I want to sleep," she whispered, pressing herself deeper into the mattress.
