You Are What I Was Looking For [closed]

Lennox walked up to the Parker's house. Christmas was coming and she needed some extra cash so her parents worked it out with Mrs. Parker for her to babysit. Lennox knocked on the door, smiling as Mr. Parker opened the door. She had never actually met him before. She had heard he was handsome, but damn was that an understatement. Who ever said beauty on the inside was a liar when they created this man. "Hello, I'm Lennox the babysitter." She said, offering her hand to him. She smiled as she shook her hand. It was short because Mrs. Parker cam out and started to give her a list of things that Piper needed. Lennox was surprised at how intense this lady was. She smiled as she took the list. Lennox smiled as Piper came down the stairs. She was so cute and took after her dad in looks. Mrs. Parker looked at Piper, "Piper this is Lennox. She is going to be your new babysitter." She said. Lennox smiled as the little girl held out her hand, "Hi Lennox." She said in a cute voice. Lennox smiled as she knelt down to the little girl, "Nice to meet you Piper." She said as she shook her hand. She watched as Piper pulled away and went upstairs. Lennox stood up, watching as Mrs. Parker grabbed her things and went out the door.

Kyle was mildly surprised to hear that they now had a babysitter. His wife hadn't really informed him of this or even kept him in the loop of information in general. For the most part, the woman seemed to be making the decisions on her own and it irritated him, only because she didn't bother telling him. She could make as many decisions as she wanted, but he wasn't the biggest fan of being blindsided. Still, when Lennox introduced herself after he opened the door, he offered a polite smile and shook her hand. "It's nice to meet you. I'm Kyle, but it's likely best to just call me Mr. Parker," he told her. He, after all, knew that his wife could sometimes get jealous. Or, at least, she used to. Lately, it seemed she was always at work or busy doing something. It was another source of frustration because he liked spending time with his wife. It was what he was used to, because, when they had first gotten married, they were practically inseparable and happy. Now, they were lucky to spend even five minutes together unless it was nighttime and time to sleep. "How about I give you a tour of the house, so that you can become familiar with the general layout? We wouldn't want you to get lost," he said with a smile.

Lennox nodded, "I would like that." She said, following him through the house. Once they finished the tour she looked at him, "Your house is beautiful Mr. Parker." She said, smiling at him. She couldn't help but smile at him. He was so hot. Lennox looked around, "I will go watch Piper now. Um..if you need anything let me know." She said. She walked off, finding Piper in her room. A few hours later Lennox sat in the kitchen, helping Piper paint a picture. She smiled as Piper focused on what she was doing, "Do you like painting?" Piper asked Lennox. Lennox nodded, "Yes i do." She said, watching the girl. Once Piper finished Lennox cleaned everything up, watching as Piper ran off with her dry picture, "Daddy! Daddy!" She said as she went into his office. "Look what I painted with Lennox." She said excitedly as she looked up at her father. Lately her mother hadn't been giving her as much attention as she use to and she went to her dad for everything. Lennox finally caught up to Piper, seeing Kyle, "Sorry she just kind of got away from me." She said, smiling at the little girl. She knew he was busy working.

Kyle wasn't surprised at all to see Piper rushing towards him. A fond smile formed on his features and he gently picked his daughter up and set her on her lap. "Oh? You did a painting with Lennox?" he asked. "I did!" Piper confirmed cheerfully, a broad smile on the small girl's features. Kyle absolutely loved seeing his daughter happy and he smiled as he looked at the painting. "That looks beautiful, Piper," he said before he kissed his daughter's forehead. "How about we go find a frame to put it in and hang it up here in my office?" he suggested. Piper's eyes went wide at the mention of it. "Really?" she asked with amazement and Kyle nodded. "Of course. We couldn't let something as wonderful as this just lie around, right? Let's put it somewhere nice," he said before he stood up, holding Piper as he looked to Lennox and smiled. "You don't have to apologize," he assured her with a small shrug. "I'm glad you two are getting along so well, though. She doesn't get to spend much time with others." And his wife didn't really want anything to do with Piper anymore. It was another thing that baffled him. Since when had his wife become so cold without him realizing it? "She seems to like you, too," he added, to which Piper grinned and cheered, "I do! I do!"

Lennox smiled as she watched Kyle with Piper. He was amazing from what she saw. "Well she is very social for a kid that doesn't spend time with a lot of people." She told him. She watched as Piper said she liked her. She watched as Piper wiggled out of Kyle's arms, "Do we have a frame daddy?" She asked, tugging on his pants. Lennox was glad she got such a well behaved child to watch. After they framed Piper's picture Lennox made her something to eat. It began to get dark and yet Mrs. Parker wasn't back yet. Lennox was suppose to leave hours ago. She couldn't believe the woman didn't want to come home to such a great family. Lennox looked over as a sleepy Piper came over to her, "Lennox can you read me a story before bed?" She asked her. Lennox nodded, "Of course." She said, smiling as she picked the girl up. She took her up to her room, laying her down. She read the book Piper wanted and watched as she started to fall asleep. Lennox walked out, bumping into Kyle, "I'm sorry." She said, quietly.

Kyle had quickly reached out to steady Lennox when they bumped into each other, though he offered a smile and shook his head to her apology. "You don't have to apologize all the time," he told her before he peeked into the room. "Piper's already out? I'm impressed. It usually takes a few stories to get her to fall asleep," he said, though his voice had softened so as to avoid waking Piper. Upon realizing his hands were still on Lennox's shoulders from when he had tried to keep her steady, he dropped his hands and turned his attention back to Lennox. "Since she's asleep, you don't have to stick around if you have somewhere more important to be. I don't expect you to drop your life just to tend to her when my wife decides that it's necessary for her own convenience."

Lennox smiled, "Yea she was pretty tired from all the stuff today." She said as they walked away from the little girl's room. "Are you sure you don't want me to stick around?" She asked. Part of her hoped he would say yes, but she knew how bad that would look to his wife when she came home. Just as he was about to speak Kyle's wife came through the door, drunk. Lennox looked at him, "Well i guess i better go." She said, smiling as she grabbed her things. She went to leave and Mrs. Parker pretty much threw the money at her. Lennox narrowed her eyes at the woman. How could she be so rude. She looked at Kyle, "Have a nice night." She said before leaving.

Lennox showed up the next day to watch Piper, the snow was just starting to fall. She walked in, smiling when she seen Piper come running at her, "Hey." She said, instantly feeling the child's arms around her legs. She knew that Mrs. Parker was probably already gone. She smiled as Kyle came into view, "How are you today Mr. Parker?" She asked. She smiled as Piper started pulling on her arm, "Let's go play!" She said, excitedly. Lennox nodded, "Alright let's go." She said, going with the girl.

Kyle and his wife had argued the night before, after Lennox had left, and he felt rather stressed by the time Lennox had gotten to the house the next day. "I'm fine," he told Lennox when she had asked, though he tried not to sound as bitter and stressed as he felt. Still, when he saw Lennox and Piper interacting so well, some of his stress ebbed away and he was rather happy to see the sight. It took his mind off things, at least. Turning to the kitchen while the pair played, Kyle went ahead to start making lunch, figuring that it was the least he could to for Lennox and for his daughter.

Lennox smiled as she played with Piper. It seemed like an endless thing. "Alright why dont we get something to eat?" She suggested. She walked into the kitchen behind Piper surprised to see Kyle made lunch. "Oh wow thanks." She said to him. She sat down with them eating, then watched as Piper finished and was off again. Later in the evening the snow got worse and Kyle's wife called and said she wasnt coming home becausw the roads were bad. Lennox walked downstairs after putting Piper down for a nap. She looked out the window, "its getting bad out there." She told him. She looked at him, catching his eyes wandering her body.

Kyle glanced out the window when he heard Lennox mention the storm, though he sighed quietly and nodded. "Who knew it would start storming today of all days?" he asked. Part of him was relieved, though. He wouldn't have to argue with his wife tonight, at least. Turning his attention to Lennox, he watched her for a moment. "Do you need to call your parents so they don't worry? If they absolutely want you home tonight, I could try to drive you there," he told her.

Lennox looked at him, "I will call them." She said. She grabbed her phone and shook her head when he offered to take her home. "No you don't have to do that." She said. She called her parents and talked to her mom. She came back to the living room and looked at Kyle. "Would you mind if i spend the night here Mr. Parker?" She asked him. She figured she could just sleep on the couch. Plus she would get to Kyle all night. It would be nice to spend time with Piper.

Kyle waited patiently while Lennox spoke with her parents, though he looked to her when she came back to the living room. With a smile, he shook his head. "I don't mind at all. You're welcomed to stay," he assured her before he stood up. "If you want, I could show you to the guest room?" He figured that would be more comfortable for her. And, since Lennox was doing so much for his daughter, it was the least he could do for her. Idly, he noticed that he felt responsible for ensuring that things were a little easier for Lennox while she had been here, though he didn't think too far into the matter.

Lennox nodded, "That would be great." She said, as she followed him to the room. She looked at him, "Thank you." She said as she set her purse down. Piper ran into the room, pushing her way pass Kyle's legs. "Are you staying!?" She asked excitedly. Piper smiled big when Lennox said she was. "Yay!" Piper exclaimed as she climbed on the bed. Lennox was amazed at how much Piper actually liked her. She had honestly never been big on kids, but Piper had changed her opinion. Lennox watched as Kyle left the two of them. She spent the day with Piper, then that night she put Piper to bed. Lennox sighed as she walked out of the room, leaving the door open a little. Lennox walked downstairs, getting a water. She walked into the living room, seeing Kyle on the couch watching tv. He was shirtless and it was hard for her to not look. She looked at the tv when he looked behind the couch at her. "Sorry i was just seeing what was on." She said, smiling at him. God he was gorgeous.

The day had been a bit calmer than usual, likely due to his wife's absence. Kyle almost felt guilty for thinking that, but it didn't bother him too much. He enjoyed spending his time with Lennox and Piper and it was easy to notice how beautiful Lennox was, both inside and out. Again, he felt guilty thinking things like this, but... Well, that didn't matter. Leaning back on his couch after a shower, he relaxed easily, though he glanced up when he noticed Lennox and offered a smile. "It's fine," he assured, "Do you want to sit and watch it with me?"

Lennox looked at him, then nodded, "Sure." She said. She sat down next to him and made sure to leave enough distance between them so it wasn't weird. She watched the tv show with him, trying to focus on the show. She couldn't help but want to be near Kyle. She was such a horrible human being for even thinking that of a married man. Her employer of all things. Lennox looked at him after the show ended, "I guess i'm gonna head to bed." She said as she stood up. "Goodnight Mr. Parker." She said, grabbing her bottle of water. She walked to the guest room, then got ready for bed. She laid down, closing her eyes.

The next morning Lennox walked downstairs, seeing that everyone was asleep. She decide to make breakfast, smiling as Piper came downstairs. Lennox smiled as she made pancakes, letting Piper help with it. Piper giggled as she helped Lennox make the breakfast. Her mom didn't do things like that with her. Piper looked behind her as Kyle appeared, "Daddy look i helped!" She said, smiling.

Kyle was surprised to smell food being cooked that morning. Usually, it was him cooking breakfast, so it caught him off guard. When he came downstairs, he smiled upon seeing that it was Lennox and Piper cooking. "Is that so?" he asked, "I'm sure it will taste perfect, then." He smiled as he made his way closer to the pair. "It was really fun!" Piper cheered with a broad grin and Kyle wanted nothing more than for that grin to remain on his little girl's face. "I'm glad you had so much fun helping Lennox cook," he said before he looked to Lennox, "Thank you for letting her help."

Lennox smiled at him, "No problem. She is really good at it." She said, looking at Piper who was smiling as she ate the pancake in front of her. She was just the cutest little girl. Piper looked at her dad, "Can she stay forever?" She asked, smiling at him. Lennox handed Kyle a plate then got herself some and sat down with the two eating her breakfast. Piper sighed when her dad said that Lennox couldn't live with them. "Fine." She huffed. Lennox watched as Piper climbed down after eating and ran to the living room to watch cartoons. Lennox looked at him, "She is the cutest." She said, smiling.

Kyle knew his answer had likely upset Piper, but it was the truth. For one, Lennox had her own life to live. Secondly, Kyle wasn't sure it was a good idea to have an attractive lady around him at all times when he was married. He couldn't really say this, though, and instead watched Piper leave after she finished eating. Turning his attention to Lennox, he smiled and nodded. "I feel fairly lucky to have her in my life," he said honestly. Lately, it felt like Piper was all he really had. "She's one special little girl, that's for sure."

Lennox nodded, "She's perfect and really smart too." She said as she got up from the table. She began to clean up her mess then put the dishes away. She looked at him, "Did you need anything else?" She asked him. She looked over when she heard the door open, seeing Mrs. Parker walked in. Lennox stood there, taking the money that the woman shoved in her hands. She looked at Mr. Parker, "I guess i will see you guys later. Have a nice day." She said as she pulled her jacket on. She grabbed her purse, "Bye Piper." She said, smiling as the little girl hugged her.

Marie looked at Kyle, "You had our babysitter spend the night with you?" She asked, frowning. "So what you fucking the help now?" She asked, glaring at him. "Real nice Kyle." She said, shaking her head. "Maybe i should pay her more if she is tending to my husband as well." She muttered. Marie looked at him, "We are going to her parents Christmas eve party tomorrow night. Try to keep your hands off the high school girl would you." She said before storming off.

The next night Lennox looked at herself in the mirror. She loved her parents Christmas eve party. She just loved dressing up and having people over. Lennox walked out of her room, moving her way through the crowd downstairs. Lennox made her way to the kitchen getting herself a glass of champagne once her mom left the room. She drank it down then set the glass in the sink. She walked out of the kitchen, running into Kyle. "Oh sorry Mr. Parker." She said, smiling at him. He looked so great. "Did you need anything?" She asked him sweetly.
