• Hayden sipped her drink then looked at him,"My dad is the president of the university, he expects perfect everything and I've been going along with it for as long as I've been told what to do," she murmured softly, "Never close a door thats never been unopened," she said repeating the words he always said to her. "If I had my way I'd have majored in something else liberal arts or whatever, I could have gotten in on a gymnastics scholarship but he wouldn't have that so I accepted the law scholarship and do gymnastics on weekends when I have time,"
Chanyeol nodded a little, "That would be me," he said to her sighed, "I can come over, should I bring food?" he asked her lightly as he looked at her wanting her to be completely comfortable with the situation. There was nothing worse than the feeling of being forced into something.

  • "Please," She nodded. "Some wine too if you can. Though I'm not sure getting drunk around you is the best idea," She murmured, shaking her head. "Everything will work out somehow," She said, more to herself than him. "You're insane, you know that right?"
He nodded slowly as he listened to her. "Well, I'm not one to say, but you are an adult. I understand being conditioned to do things in a certain way. But sometimes doing what you want is better even if it gets you less than desirable results. Take it from someone who knows," He said, his tone turning slightly serious. "But you're young, you have plenty of time."

  • Hayden knew what he was saying was true, there was just so much else at play. "Yeah, I know it's just... hard to dissappoint someone who really does think they're doing the best thing for you," if she had her way she'd probably be in New York at a fine arts college living her life happily, but her father thought the idea of it was irresponsible and shut the idea down immediately. Any thought of her doing that was swept under a rug, where most of her feelings were.
Chanyeol shrugged," Isn't that what drew you to me in the first place?" he asked with a laugh then smiled. "I mean we did meet by me doing something stupid,"
    December 17th, 2016 at 09:58am
  • "Yeah," She smiled a little, shaking her head. She was nervous, but she liked him. And she would rather be with him if it were at all possible. "That's true." She murmured as she looked at him. "You better not fail me," She grinned, teasing him as she stood and grabbed her backpack. "I deserve an A straightaway from the stress you're putting me through."
"Not for nothing, but you seem really unhappy. I'm sorry for saying so, but thats why I say it. If this path is going to end up saddening you, its not worth it. You deserve to be happy. Everyone does," He smiled a little. "I have a class coming up, are you headed back to campus?"
    December 17th, 2016 at 10:05am
  • Hayden nodded,"Yeah, I have another class too just wanted to get some food I'm starved," she murmured lightly as she held up the bag with a muffin. "and I am...unhappy but right now it's liveable, but I don't know if it will be once I graduate,"
"Well if you don't hand in bad work then I won't fail you," he countered as he looked at her then smiled, "I will grade you just as I do everyone else, that will not change,"
    December 17th, 2016 at 10:07am
  • She ran her hand through her ponytail, sighing a bit. "I wouldn't expect anything less. Even if we weren't seeing each other, I want to do well on my own." She murmured, smiling weakly. "I have to go get ready for your class. But I'll see you tonight," She murmured. "Bring chinese or curry, please."
He nodded. "It would be better to make the decision before it gets to be unbearable. I'd hate to know someone who could have prevented being unhappy, and ended up having a near crisis. You deserve better than that. Have you tried talking to your father again recently?"
    December 17th, 2016 at 10:14am
  • He nodded a little, "Chinese or Curry - got it," he said to her as he thought about what place he could get food from, he waited for her to leave before he gathered some things for this class. He made his way to the front of the class and smiled a little as he greeted everyone, explaining how the course would work. Chanyeol loved his job, it was something he'd wanted to do for a long time. The thought of teaching kids made his skin crawl, but teaching adults seemed like the next best thing, higher education was something he took exceedingly serious - if he could help students get a grasp on their future then he he had done his job.
Hayden knew he was right, talking to her dad would definitely be a good idea but she remembered the last time she brought up a change in major, "If memory serves me right, he told me it would be irresponsible to pursue any other degree than the one I'm doing now; and that I've been preparing for this my whole life; I'd be unprepared for anything else," she said to him, "It's sad to think about, sorry, I just.. for now this is where I am, maybe after I graduate I can get a bachelors in something else. It won't take me long since I just need to take course specific classes,"

  • She had chosen a seat in the middle rows, but off to the side. She didn't need to stand out in either of these classes, she needed to blend in. She watched as he spoke, smiling a bit to herself. He looked great up there, it was clear he enjoyed teaching. He was one of those professors you were glad you took and wished you could take again. She took her notes as the class went on, mostly paying attention to the class but letting her mind wander occasionally, but not enough that she lost place on her work. She ended up being the last person with the sign in sheet and carried it up to the front of the class when class ended. She wasn't sure if he needed to speak to her so she hung around after the class, looking at her cellphone.
"Maybe," He shrugged as he looked at her. "I hope it's what you end up wanting though, it would be sad to think of someone taking another class set afterwards." He pulled out his phone and checked the time, and looked into his notifications list. "I have a class in about 15 minutes, so this is where I must leave you. It was nice talking to you....Hayden! Right, I knew I would remember it. Well Hayden, I will see you next class?"

  • Chanyeol sighed as he rested his head on his desk before lifting it, he had two more classes that day then he could go home. He really didn't mind teaching, he loved it, but the whole day had just been stressful. Most first days on the job you didn't have to think much about anything, but he'd thought about everything which had put him in a spot that made him feel awkward. Between the president wanting to talk to him, and finding out the girl he was interested in was his student - he didn't know much more he could take. "Did you enjoy the lecture?" he asked her curiously as he began to dig through some papers.
"Of course, I never miss a class if I can help it," she said to him nodding a little, "It was nice talking with you," it wasn't often she spoke with someone, she was always so busy she never really made time for it. Whenever people tried to get close to her she assumed the worst, after her freshman issue she never really made it a habit of trying to make friends besides people she saw on a normal basis.

  • Nathalia nodded as she walked into his office, making sure she wasn't really seen going inside. "I did, I think you'll be a good professor," She smiled, watching as he put his head on the desk. He looked how she felt, completely exhausted, and mentally drained. It was a lot to take in, plus the situation they were in together as well. "Tired?" She asked quietly, pushing the door shut silently and sighing. The sneaking around was going to take a toll on her. She was grateful the windows were frosted, so while it wasn't immediately clear whether someone was inside or not, the lights were a dead giveaway.
He smiled at her, bowing and beginning to turn away. "Feel free to message me with any questions, that's what I'm here for." He said, before turnnig and heading to the building he was working in. He was hoping to be a help to the students who needed it, the last thing he wanted was for students to struggle when he was able to help.
Henry made the reservations for tonight and sent them to Hayden: Sweetpea: Dinner is at the Bellasio Grande downtown at 7:30. See you there, Love you.

  • "Yeah it's just today is all, it'll get easier with time. I got two more classes to get ready for then I can head home and shower before I come over," he said to her with a small smile, "What kind of wine do you want me to bring?" he asked as he pulled out a note pad and a pen. He wanted to make sure he brought everything she asked for, his mother always told him he was a scatter brain so he'd taken to putting everything on paper.
Daddy: Alright, I'll be there a bit early. I'm heading to my last class so I'll see you then xoxox she hit the green send button then sighed as she walked towards the last class of the day she was ready for it to be over, this week assignments were easy. Or at least she thought so, she had a powerpoint and two essays - the syllabus she'd gotten online only informed her that she'd need to study for an assessment a the end of the week which was easy enough. If she was diligent enough she could finish everything by tomorrow night.

  • "You know I'm not great with names, whatever it was we had before. The white one," She said, sitting down across from him. "This feels very formal, it's a bit strange." She murmured, leaning back in her chair. "This whole situations just madness," She mumbled. "You'd better be worth it," She grinned at him. "Well, I'll leave you to it then. I don't want to be a distraction to you anymore than I probably am." She said, picking up her bag and standing. "I'll see you later."

  • Hayden had finally gotten ready it had taken her longer than she'd had liked so now she had to rush across town. She made sure to text her father that she was on her way, grabbing her purse and keys as she went out the door. When she arrived at the restaurant she went inside telling them her last name and who she was here with, she was seated immediately. Her father had already arrived, "Sorry I'm nearly late, I was finishing up some homework," she said with a small smile as she was poured some wine.
Chanyeol was doing his best to text Nathalie but his phone kept losing signal as he was driving, he cursed tossing it in the seat as he pushed a hand through his hair. He turned on his blinker then turned into the restaurant, he hoped she'd get at least one of his messages. He knew she shouldn't gotten a knew phone when he moved, but he hadn't had the time.
    December 18th, 2016 at 12:30am
  • Nathalie sat in her living room working on her assignments and boiling water on the stove. She didn't want to eat anything before he got there, but she was getting hungry. She looked at her phone and sighed, picking it up to call him. It went straight to voicemail and she wasn't sure whether something had gone wrong or not. She got a call from Jackson, asking what she was up to but she told him she wasn't sure. She made a cup of coffee and sighed, going back to her schoolwork.
    December 18th, 2016 at 12:44am
  • When Chanyeol got to the restaurant he checked his phone one more time force sending all the text messages he'd tried sending to her before, but he didn't have time to make sure they went through so he turned his phone on silent then shoved it in his pocket before going inside. He was escorted to the table and he smiled a little shaking Henry's hand. He took a seat next to the younger girl at the table and he swore she looked familiar but he couldn't place her. "I'm sorry I was late, this was all very last minute," he said to him as he was served some wine.
"Uhm," Hayden instantly paled a little as she looked at her father, he knew exactly what he was doing, "Daddy, this... this is my professor," she spoke cautiously to him with a serious expression unsure as to why her was here. She hoped this wasn't the man he'd been speaking about over the phone.
    December 18th, 2016 at 01:02am
  • After a bit, Nathalie got hungry and she stood up, going my into the kitchen to make some food. She was confused, she knew he had planned on coming over but she was surprised to not hear from him. She called Jackson up, asking if he wanted to come by since she was hungry and now kind of upset. He agreed and said he would be there in twenty minutes. She ran a hand through her hair twisting it to pull it out of the way. She was kind of sad, but she assumed he was just late.
Henry nodded with a large smile. "What a coincidence. I'm sure she'll do exceptionally well in your class, Chanyeol. This is my wife, Helga. And my daughter, Hayden. Chanyeol is the man I wanted you to meet," He explaIned to her.

Helga smiled. "Pleasure," She said simply, holding her hand out to shake his hand. "I hope you didn't run into traffic."
    December 18th, 2016 at 01:16am
  • Hayden looked at her father slightly shocked then smiled a little, "I, uh, It's nice to meet you we didn't meet in class as it was quite a large one," she smiled a little as she looked at him.

Chanyeol nodded, "Yes, its my second largest class this semester actually so I'm not surprised I didn't notice you," he said with a small smile after her shook Henry's wifes hand. He wanted his daughter to meet him? But why? He didn't understand and he could sense the unease the girl had as she sat stiffly next to him, he knew about his reputation for doing whatever needed to be done to assure his daughters future. Henry Carter was a legend among the staff, he worked hard to get where he was.
    December 18th, 2016 at 01:37am
  • "Well, I'm sure you're wondering why I had this dinner, it is my hope that the two of you would become closer. I like to do everything possible to encourage people I want to see succeed. And I think the two of you having met would prove to be very beneficial in the future." Henry explained to them, looking between them. Chanyeol was everything he wanted for his Hayden. He was young and successful and Just now embarking on his career. He could see them becoming a power couple and he wouldn't stop until it happened.
    December 18th, 2016 at 01:52am
  • Chanyeol looked at Henry then at Hayden, he couldn't be serious? This couldn't possibly be happening he had lied to himself earlier - the day could get worse. He wet his lips a little taking a sip of his wine, "I.. sir no disrespect but I do not think that that would be a good idea, she should focus on her career before finding someone to become close with, it would be the sensible thing to do," he said to him.
Hayden nodded,"He's right, I'm still so young, I'm not even twenty two yet. I have years before I should even think about... being close to someone," she said in agreement with chanyeol. She really wasn't looking for a relationship, she wasn't looking for marriage and she wasn't even sure what she wanted to do with her life.
    December 18th, 2016 at 01:58am
  • "I don't want to hear any objections. All I ask is you meet up now and again, and become friends for now. You're both young, soon to be successful, and single. I expect it will be a beneficial friendship. Don't close doors before you've had the chance to open it." He said, smiling between the two of them. "Now I hear this restaurant is delicious, lets eat."

"I hear the lobster bisque is delicious," Helga smiled between them. "Should I call over the waiter?"
