Leena got to school in the morning and sighed. She was so tired. The sound of waves had kept her up all night which was odd because you couldn't hear waves from her apartment with her mom in the middle of the city. It had been getting louder for weeks now and it was currently the worst it had ever been. She yawned as she walked down the halls with her arms full of books. She closed her eyes as she did so and then suddenly she felt herself falling into someone. She gasped and graced out grabbing onto the person dropping her books on his toes. Leena looked up and winced. Of course she would bump into Ethan the one guy in the entire school who couldn't stand her at all. "Oh sorry Ethan." she said as she straightened back up. Ethan had never been outwardly unkind to her but he was never kind either it was as if he rather have blended into the wall around her than to stand out and be seen by her. Leena didn't understand his problem. "Umm I'll just..." she stooped and started picking up her books peeking up at him. She looked into his eyes and blushed before looking back down. He was watching her why?
Mitch sat in the lunchroom before school started watching Clara out of the corner of his eye. He always kept an eye on her though he would never let her know it. He wasn't going to be that person hat lied to her. They never spoke so he could never lie. He had been assigned to her a long time ago and grew up around her once he got his powers under control. Mitch knew her importance more than anyone else and when she came of age he would tell her about it. He knew her mother wouldn't. Mortals didn't like to see their halfbloods go away and most likely never return. It was the way it worked. Mitch stood as the bell rang and mosses his way over to his locker. He wasn't going to get caught watching. It had been so long and he had gotten away with indifference most the time.

Clara sat in the lunchroom tinkering with a few bits she had taken from the metal works shed, her food was on the table in front of her half eaten her eyes were scanning the room looking at the massive body of students that filled the room. Voices all around her, even though she hadn't been paying attention to what she was doing with her hands she had unconsciously made a small figurine.
Clara had always been good with her hands, unlike her mother, she assumed she got it from her father, a man that she had never met but when her mother talked about him she got a dreamy far away look in her eyes and her voice became a different tone. Happier.
Placing the metal figurine on the table in front of her she finished her lunch quietly. As she looked around the table she locked eyes with a male. A male that was staring at her.
What was he staring at? she wondered but instead of confronting the male she finished her food grabbed her rubbish and walked over to the bin forgetting all about her figurine.
Ethan slowly bent down to help the female with her books. Picking them up he handed them to her watching her as he did, "Are you alright?" he asked but from the look of her he knew she was tired. She was a daughter of Poseidon so naturally he assumed the reason she was a walking zombie had something to do with that. Ethan had been sent from Camp Half-Blood to watch out for Leena. Normally a Satyr would go but instead he had offered to go himself. The council had been hesitant but he had assured them he would protect her and when the time was right bring her to Camp. Him being a son of Artemis made him an excellent warrior and protector, from a young age he had been gifted with a natural talent for archery and a hunters instinct as his father always used to tell him. He could and he would protect Leena from any monsters that she came across. It was his duty.

Mitch grabbed the little figure before he left the lunchroom and as he got to his locker shoved it inside with half the other things she made and had just left about. She had no idea the significance to the things she made. Mitch headed towards class and smiled as he caught some boy trying to hit on Clara. She wasn't that type and by now you would think these boys would get it that she wasn't their next project to make home comping queen. Mitch took his things into the class that along with most of his classes he shared with Clara. His mother had set it up. She was just glad to get to have him home for so long. Because of the powers his father had he had never been unaware of who his father had been from the start. He had known because of how dangerous his powers could be if not well maintained. Mitch sat in his chair and looked up when Clara walked in. Mitch tried to hide his reaction as one of his friends walked in behind her. "Kreg." he called and waved. Kreg was a mortal that he thought was interesting and useful in the least.
Leena blushed as Ethan helped her pick up her books. He never had been one to talk to her before let alone help her. She frowned wondering what the difference was today. "Uhh yeah thanks." she said and took her books from him holding them to her chest. "Nice to see you again Ethan. " she said and smiled softy then rushed off towards home room. Ethan was in nearly every one of her classes. She grinned as she slid into her chair and pulled her book open. She sighed as she thought about Ethan. She had never looked at him before because he had always been so indifferent but today it seemed he was in a good mood and she had gotten a good look at him and his amazing honey colored eyes. They looked more like wolf eyes then they did human. She wondered how she had never noticed before. Leena opened her compact fixing her hair and looking into her sea green eyes. Leena smiled and then snapped the compact shut. She flipped through a few pages in her book aimlessly as she waited for class to start. When class started Leena took to doodling in the corner of her notebook as usual. Leena frowned as the waves started to roar in her ears. She groaned and leaned her head in her hand. She ran her hand through her long dark hair and pushed it back.
Just as the pain was getting unbearable the glass window shattered and Leena looked up at the window and scrambled out of her chair. The students around her looked at her like she was crazy but there in the window she saw a lizard like monster. She looked around and shook her head. "I need to go to the nurse!" she said and ran out. She could hear the whispers from behind her wondering what happened to the window and why she went running from the room like a mad woman. Leena was not going to the nurse with that thing behind her. She ran down the hall watching as the door burst behind her splinters of wood flinging everywhere. Leena screamed and fell to the ground covering her head. Leena rolled over and started to scramble back as the creature started to charge towards her. The pipes around her groaned before they burst filling the hall with water as the monster grabbed her arm and ripped into her flesh. Leena screamed and the water froze in mid air.

Clara had been heading to class when she had rudely been cut off by Jarred Whittaker. He was persistent and determined to make her into the school's homecoming Queen however that was the last thing on Clara's mind. She just wanted to finish school and get the hell out of there.
Strange things had started to stir in her dreams. Creatures that she had never seen before and a voice, a voice that sounded so familiar yet so unknown to her. Her dreams had been filled with half men, half horse creatures, serpentine creatures: the upper body of a woman and the bottom of a huge snake. Bird like creatures with old haggard heads of women and wings like leather. They had clouded her dreams for the last few months and they were becoming more and more frequent, even if she has a small doze they haunt her. Clara doesn't know what to think of it, she doesn't remember reading or watching anything in the last few months that included creatures like them yet they haunted her dreams.
Once she had managed to shake of Jarred she walked into her class, noticing the blonde from lunch she quickly passed his table and sat toward the front digging around in her bag for her book.
"Good evening class, " turning Clara watched her teacher walk in, she was a sub, "Mister Kingley is away today. I will be taking your class," there was something about her that struck fear into Clara, her voice was hoarse and her eyes flashed red. Her features were harsh. "Please turn your reading material to page twenty and continue reading. Miss Jones, can you please follow me." hesitantly Clara got to her feet and followed the woman out of the room.
"What is it you wanted to..." A scream ripped from her throat before she could finish what she was saying when she noticed that the woman's face had become half reptilian, one side was human and the other scales and a bright red eye.
"Why you are a pretty young thing, I assume from your mother. Your father undoubtably one of the ugliest looking Gods on all Olympus."
The woman was like one from her dreams, how did she know her father. She didn't stay around to ask, instead she fled, running as fast as her legs would allow her.
"You can run dear but in the end. I will kill you."
Ethan was out the door as soon as Leena had, he too had seen the lizard like creature and knew it could only mean something bad. He ran as fast as his legs would go, his instincts kicking in. Grabbing his pen from his pocket and pressing the top it shifted into a bow and pulling the strap on his bag caused it to shift into a quiver filled with silver arrows. As he ran he heard wood splintering and the scratching of the the creatures claws on the floor as it ran. He prayed to Zeus, to every god and goddess he could, that everything would be alright that he would get to Leena before the creature ripped her to shreds. As he sped down the hallways his shoes skidding across the floor at every sharp turn he made. He knew he was close when he heard the water pipes gurgling. Nocking an arrow he pulled the string back and in one quick movement he left go. A ear piercing scream broke from the creature as it exploded into dust.
The male ran over to Leena, she was on the ground a wall of water frozen in mid air, he skidded down next to her and saw the wound, it was deep and harsh, blood oozed from it. Pulling from his pocket he produced a small silver flask of nectar.
"Here," he pressed the metal container to her lips and allowed her to drink, he knew not to over do it. It was a harsh wound but only the smallest amount would heal it. Anymore and her insides would start to melt.

Mitch recognized the eyes of the woman that walked into the room and he stood after she had called Clara out into the hall. Really they think sending a gorgon was going to do the job. He shook his head and then walked out of the classroom. He took the hold of the sword he had discussed as a ruler and as he raised it into the light the sword shown gold. Mitch started up running as he saw the gorgon chasing Clara. Something about it instilled panic inside of him. "Hey ugly!" he yelled and ran after then. He smirked as the thing turned but by this time it had already cornered Clara and he had no time to get her out just this moment. He charged the woman having to bounce back as she snapped at him with her fanged mouth. Mitch flipped forward using his sword to block the claws she was trying to use to grab at him. He was under her and then sprang up and thrust the sword into her stomach. He then pulled it out as it started to burn her flesh and he chopped off her head watching as it rolled away from her body as it fell and then incinerated. He walked over to the head and pushed his sword into the middle watching it dissolve around his sword. He swirled the sword and the light that had been the weapon part disappeared. He was only thankful that gorgons traveled alone and not in packs like some other monsters.
Mitch turned to Clara and sighed. "Well I guess it's time to tell you." he said and ran a hand through his hair. "Come with me." he said and paused a moment thinking about offering her his hand but then thought better of it and walked towards the gym. He knew it would be empty for now. He walked in and pulled out a few rows of the bleachers. "Have a seat." he said looking at her legs unsure if they were stable enough to support her anymore. He was sure this all must feel like some bad dream. Mitch sat beside her. "Clara you're not human." he said and looked at her probably guessing the words she was about to say to that. "Hold on let me get through this." he said and rubbed the top of his head. "You're only part human. You're father isn't human, your father is a god on Mt. Olympus. His name is Hephaestus the god of fire though he is more communally thought of as the blacksmith of the gods." he said and smiled at her. "You ever wonder why you're so good at making anything? Why it is never a challenge to learn how to make something new and you have all those ideas running around in your head? I know it's probably hard to believe and you're probably thinking I'm a little crazy but your not quiet sure that your not crazy too after seeing that gorgon but you're gonna have to trust me. That's not the last monster that will come after you and we need to get to camp halfblood." he said and looked at her. "It's the only place you will be safe to learn your trade and how to fight. Mitch rubbed the back of his neck and looked at her. "We need to leave now. I have a go bag in my locker so we'll grab that then we'll be on our way." he said.
Leena was in shock and as he pressed the flask to her lips she drank then pushed his hand away coughing. "Oh god what is that?" she asked and coughed again. It burned going down but at least it helped the pain in her arm. She looked at her arm and watched it heal. "What the..." she looked over at who had given her the drink and her eyes widened. "Ethan!" she ran her hands through her hair and the water around them fell soaking them both. "What the hell is going on!" she asked as she stood and then instantly regretted it as she reached out and grabbed onto Ethan to help steady her because she felt like she might fall down. Leena looked at Ethan again fear and shock in her eyes. She looked unsteady but the fact was that those half lizard half bird monsters traveled in packs, large ones and they didn't have time to go over everything now. "Where the hell did you get a bow and were did you learn to use it?" she asked though it wasn't the most important question she should ask it was fight there in front of her and so she asked. Really Leena was just too shocked to ask what that creature had been and were it came from but more than anything she was afraid to ask why she could see it and why it had only come after her. Leena was grateful Ethan was holding her up though because she needed his strength because all of hers had been unknowingly channeled into the water she had broken out of the pipes and had frozen in the air.

Everything Mitch was saying was sailing over the brunette's head all she could do was stare dumbfounded at the guy. What did he mean her dad was a god, how is that even possible. Hephaestus she knew that name. He was a Greek God. Wait was this guy trying to tell her that her father was a Greek God. Everything was trying to process in her mind everything she had ever done, the tinkering with bits of things, the ability to pull something apart and turn it into something new. She thought she was just good. Now this blonde haired guy, who she still didn't know the name of, was telling her that she was... a Demi-god? And this Camp Half-Blood. What was that? What did he mean learn her trade and learn to fight. Reaching out she pinched her arm to make sure she wasn't dreaming. When the pinch hurt she knew this was real and she had just about been killed by a... Gorgon. Whatever that was.
"Who are you?" she asked, "how do you know all this about me? Am I being pranked?" the questions spitballed out of her lips as her mind continued to try and process everything. It didn't seem to be computing.
"It's Nectar, the drink of the gods. It helps wounded demi-gods," Ethan watched as Leena ran her fingers through her hair and he felt the water crash down on them, shaking his head the water flicked off him. Ethan rose to his feet grabbing hold of Leena's arms when she reached out to him. "This is going to sound strange, but you are in danger. We need to get out of here, there is a camp, for people like us. Camp Half-Blood." He paused. "Leena you aren't normal. The blood of Poseidon runs through your veins. You are half human, half god. A Demi-god. There is a reason that water affects you, why you can control it. Your father is one of the three mighty gods, he is the ruler of the seas. Therefore you have a strong connection to it. It's how you can control it, how you can hear it from miles away." Ethan paused to take a breath and see if Leena was registering anything he was saying. "Come on, we gotta get out of here," with that he grabbed her wrist and began to run out of the school and toward his car. He had to get her out of here.
Ethan prayed that they didn't come face to face with any other creatures, he wanted to get to camp safely, once there Leena could be told everything she needed to be told and perhaps get a sign from her Godly parent indicating that she is in fact a demi-god.

Mitch groaned. "My name is Mitch. I know all this because I was sent here to protect you from the very monster that tried to kill you just now. No you are not being pranked I can assure you this is very real and dangerous. I know all this because I am a demigod as well my father is Apollo hence the sword made of sunlight." he said and sighed. "Look I understand this is probably very hard to process right now but we need to get my bag and go. We have a very long way to get to camp and not a lot of time to get there before more monsters start to smell your blood. It seams you are more powerful then was guessed in the estimation but I knew it was to good to be true that we would have till you were 18. Now please I know you don't really know me but you have to trust me Clara. I have been watching out for you this entire time and now it is time for me to get you to were you belong." He said and hoped they wouldn't need another monster to convince her to follow him. "Tell me what is the worst that could happen in trusting me when all I have asked is for you to come on a road trip with me right now?" he asked hoping that anything she could think of would be minuscule to the proof of the monster that had attacked her just minutes ago.
Leena looked at him her mind somewhere starting to blur his words together at the blood of Poseidon. She gasped and he started to pull her out of the school and she stumbled behind him. "Out of here? What no." she pushed his hand away and stumbled back a little as she ran a hand through her now wet hair. "I can't leave and go to this... this camp half blood. What about my mother and school. I want to be a Marine Biologist. That takes a lot of dedication you know." she said and shook her head loosing sight of what had just happened." Leena gasped as he stepped close to her. She looked into his eyes, those impossibly deep beautiful eyes. "What was that creature?" she asked suddenly as she stood there shaking. This was all to much for her and she didn't understand how dangerous the situation was or that there were more things coming after her and her mother too since they tracked her by smell. Leena bit her lip as she looked at Ethan desperate for him to explain to her what was going on and in this moment she looked more fragile than she ever had before.

Clara listened to the male, she was hesitant, she didn't want to go with this guy but maybe, just maybe he was talking the truth and she was actually related to a Greek God and there were creatures after her.
"Okay, alright. I will go with you. I'll just assume everything your saying is true. I mean there is no denying what I saw. That creature was real. But I am going to need..." there was a banging sound and the two lifted their heads. This time the creatures were different. Half half something else but she didn't stay still to look. Instead she grabbed the blonde wrist and began to run. "Okay get your shit and we will get out of here." she called over her shoulder as they ran down the school hallway. "Also the worst that could happen if I was to go on a road trip with you is you could be a psycho path and kill me but I am hoping that I am making the right decision and you won't kill me."
Ethan had stopped running once they were outside and he stepped close to the female as she continued to spiel off about how she wants to be a marine biologist. When she asked what the creature was he drew a blank. He had no idea. He had never seen one or read about one.
"I honestly don't know. I have never seen one before. But Chiron may know. Now if you want to live get in the car!" he stated firmly before walking around and jumping into his car starting it and revving the engine. Ethan knew he had to get to Camp right away and he needed to find out what the new, strange, creature was that had just tried to kill Leena. Revving the engine again he indicated that Leena needed to get in, and get in now.

"Damn! Were the hell are all these bloody monsters coming from?!" he yelled and stood taking her hand and running out of the gym with her and then towards his locker. He didn't even bother to open it but just melted the door off and grabbed out a big duffle bag and his coat. "A psychopath really?" he laughed. "You'll just have to take my word that I am also here to protect you." he said and then shouldered his bag and ran down the hall just as the monster broke through the doors of the gym. "Damn that thing isn't smart but it's faster than it looks." he said and looked over seeing a fire alarm and he reached over pulling it. Students filled the halls and he ran out with Clara as the monster looked around in confusion. "See dumb as an Ox." he said and smirked as they ran out into he parking lot. He unlocked his car and tossed the things in the back. "We're in luck." he said and got in. "The car's not compromised." he said and chuckled as she got it. "And please it's Mitch. I don't want you accidentally calling me Psychopath." He said as he pulled out of the parking lot haling ass down the road.
Leena stood there looking at him get in his car. She bit her lip. If she wanted to live? What kind of a threat was that? Leena looked around and opened the car door. "On two conditions." she said looking in at him. "Swear your not a psychopath and that you will answer all my questions." she said softly. Leena looked up as she heard a screeching and she looked over and saw another of those creature flying down from the sky towards her. She got in the car and closed the door. "Go!" she said pulling on her seat belt. Leena pushed her head against her head rest and looked over at Ethan. "You really have never seen one of those before?" she asked and sighed. Leena bit her lip. "Will my mother be alright?" she asked and pulled out her cell phone with miraculously turned on despite having been wet. Leena sent a quick text to her mom. Don't go home. I love you and I'm going on a trip. Things are crazy I will explain later... swear. Leena set her phone down and then rubber her legs glad that she was already drying off.

Clara couldn't help the laugh that broke from her lips as the two jumped into the car with Mitch. She didn't know whether it was from being nervous or perhaps it was the adrenalin running through her veins.
"Right Mitch, I will try to remember that," she nodded her head as the two got in the car and took off.
Clara was amazed at how fast he was with confusing the creature or the fact that he had melted his locker door. The car sped down the road and onto the highway, it wasn't until they were a long distance from the school that she shot her mother a text message. She began to compose the message and typed as quickly as her shaking fingers would allow.
Mum I am going on a road trip with a friend don't be mad... it's for something really important. I love you so much! with that she sent it and placed the phone on her lap as the car moved forward.
"Yes okay, just get in," he agreed and felt a little relieved when Leena got into the car, he sped off leaving black track marks in the car park, as they were driving along out the corner of his eyes he saw the female texting. Once she had finished he grabbed the device off her knee and threw it out the open car window
"Ah uh. No electronic devices. It is one way the creatures can track you and that is the last thing we want at the particular time." It was true every demigod he knew had been told that any electronic devices were to be disposed of for their own safety and that was what he was doing for Leena even if she didn't like it.

Mitch frowned. "Sorry dear but no cell phones. It's to dangerous to have one around. It could reveal everything about us and get us caught before we get to safety. Either you can toss it out or I will." he said and looked over at her sadly knowing it was the only link she had to her life as a human. Mitch rubbed the back of his neck one hand on the steering wheel. He wanted it gone before something found it's wavelength and followed them. Mitch didn't want to just take it though she was after all deserving of an explanation and the option to do it herself. He could only guess how difficult it could be to toss it so he had given her the option of letting him do it. It was also a bit of a threat. Either way he would have to get rid of it and that was the bottom line. "Clara I know this is hard and it will start to sink in at some point. I may not be someone you are familiar with yet but I am here for you and anything you need from me including a shoulder to cry on or a sparing partner if you rather hit something." he said because he doubted she was much of a cryer.
"Hey!" Leena said as she looked at her phone back on the road. "What did you do that for?!" she turned to him and frowned as he said it was for her safety. "Well you need to stop making decisions for me. I am not just a helpless little girl you can boss around!" she said and turned in her seat and crossed her arms as she looked out the window. Leena was defiantly feeling overwhelmed going over and over in her head the little information he had given her. What was at this camp that would help her at all? The roaring of the ocean had lessened at least and she sighed stooping in her chair still looking angry though but also tired. Leena closed her eyes thinking about the ocean and the smell of it. Her mother had taken her when she was a small child and other then the trips she went on with her friends she hardly ever got to the ocean but she had always felt like it was calling her into it like it was welcoming her home. Leena sighed and shook her head. She wondered why the ocean was roaring now when it never had before. Was there something Poseidon... her father, was trying to tell her. Was it because there was danger and he was trying to warn her? Ethan had said that Poseidon was one of the three major gods? She was trying to think back to mythology class and was coming up pretty blank on anything out of the norm about Poseidon.

Clara looked at her phone on her thigh, she didn't want to throw it but if it would stop any other creature coming after her and trying to kill her she knew she had to. Rolling down her window she ditched her phone out the window. To anyone driving behind them they probably thought she was a weirdo for throwing out her phone into the busy highway but oh well. She just hoped there was a way for her to contact her mother. She couldn't just send her a text and then leave it. She knew at one stage she was going to have to contact her and tell her what has actually happened to her.
"So what is this Camp Half-Blood?" she asked turning her head and looking at the male. His eyes were on the road but she kept her eyes trained on him as she waited for an explanation. "And you said I was a daughter of Hephaestus. How is that possible? Surely I would know if my father was a god of Mount Olympus... speaking of which... isn't Mount Olympus just a myth?" her thoughts were buzzing as she tried to piece everything together. She wished she had something that could keep her hands busy. It would calm her down. She always found tinkering with things calming.
A scoff left Ethan's lips, "Listen Princess I am trying to keep you safe. Unless you want to go back and fight those creatures yourself your going to have to trust me with everything I do and know that there is a reason for it." he snapped hotly as he hit the accelerator pedal to the floor causing the speedometer to climb drastically. He knew he had to get to camp and he had to get there soon because creatures would start appearing soon. He hoped he had bought them sometime when he got rid of her phone. "Listen Leena you might think I am being an ass but I am just doing what I have been told and trained to do and that is to protect you and any other demigod that I come across." he turned his head to look at her briefly but with a speedometer hitting nearly one hundred and eighty kilometres an hour he knew he should keep his eyes on the road, a small slip up could kill.

"Thank you." Mitch said as she made the right choice. He drove a long looking in his mirrors for anything that might be trying to follow them or stop them. He glanced at Clara as she asked about the camp before looking back at the road. "Camp Half Blood is for Demi-Gods and the offspring of the gods on Olympus. It is a real mountain and many people have climbed in until they hit what they call the delusion range were a spell has been set that any mortal that goes above a particular altitude goes under the spell and they finish their journey in their mind before they start back down the mountain." he said and smiled at her. "It's interesting really." he said and smiled as she started to talk about her father. "Well I am not sure what your mother told you about him." He looked down at her twiddling her thumbs and he reached into the go pack and pulled out some clay and put it in her hands. He knew it would help when he packed it. He had actually got the suggestion from her father via messenger. "Anyways, you never met your father or heard from him because he wasn't allowed to contact you until your god blood started to form. Which is now by the way and is the reason the monsters are coming after you. Right now you are the sweetest and easiest prey. Demigods are born human and develop their god powers right before adulthood most the time or in early adulthood. It ranges sometimes to puberty too. This is to protect the child from the monsters and the life they can't handle until then. But that's off track. Really I don't know how to prove to you that your father is who I say he is but hopefully when we get to Camp Half Blood you will have your answers." Mitch said and looked at her. "I'm really surprised you're taking this so well. I mean it's hard to take this perspective on but I guess the monsters really are hard to dispute."
"Well you could do it without treating me like an ignorant child! This is a lot for me to take in you know! Or do you? Have you ever been in my shoes cause if you had been then I don't think you would be acting like this and would find some sympathy for me. It's easy just to talk to me and believe I will make the right decision. Sure I get we're in like a dangerous situation say you will explain later damn learn how to talk to people!" she said and shook her head and pulled her legs into her seat. "Watch the road! You're gonna get us pulled over for speeding!" Leena hugged her knees to her chest and she put her face in them not wanting to talk to him anymore. She wanted to curl up and cry but she wasn't about to shed a tear for Ethan to watch and tell her to suck it up.

Clara listened to Mitch as he told her about Mount Olympus and how her Father hadn't contacted her and her Gods blood how it makes her sweet and easy prey this is all so positive. He may have thought she was taking this well but inside she was freaking out she didn't know what she was going to do. She was never a fighter she was always a tinkerer, she liked to make weapons out of things but she never used them. How was she supposed to fight off creatures when she had zero knowledge of how the hell to do it. She was suddenly hit with a memory. A story she had been told when she was younger. A Greek Myth, as she believed, about her father.
"My father..." it felt weird coming off her lips considering she had never really said the words, "My father he crafted Zeus's lightning bolts? and..." she scratched her mind, "and the arrows for both Apollo and Artemis." it was probably a useless fact but at least she knew something about her 'father' and she now definitely knew where she got her ability to craft and make things from.
"My father made he crafted your fathers arrows... that probably is nothing important... but it's kinda cool. So how did you get your sword? I mean did your dad bestow it on you or did you make it yourself? How is it made of sunlight?" the questions spit-fired off her tongue she was suddenly very interested in the mechanics of his weapon. "As for everything else... calm is not the word I would use to describe how I am feeling... and the monsters... could anyone else see that they were monsters or is it just a demi-god thing?"
Ethan sighed and turned his attention back onto the road, Leena was right it was a lot for her to take in and he wasn't exactly being the best about it. She probably had heaps going through her head with what was going on.
"Okay, listen I am sorry. I have heard too many horror stories about things like this going wrong. I have witnessed one even. I just... I want to get you to camp... because unfortunately with what is going on, the creatures, the things changing with you this makes you a easy target for monsters. I don't want you to end up dead or seriously injured so I am trying my best to get you to safety. I have seen one too many demigods dead before they are able to make it to safely. I am not trying to scare you anymore than you probably are but I am just giving you the facts."
Ethan paused and took a breath. "I have been in this exact situation only I was about thirteen when I came across my first monster. Lucky for me I had a satyr watching out for me. He got me to Camp unscathed unfortunately before I could enter the gates the creature caught up and just about ripped me limb for limb. Had it not been for Dean I wouldn't be here. I was unconscious when he pulled me through the protective barrier. I was out for three days before they could bring me around. So I know how you are feeling and I know how important it is to get as far away from here as possible."

Mitch smiled as she talked about her father. "I am glad you remembered something about your father. It's always nice to have a ground base to hold onto when starting out. Mitch chuckled as she started to ramble on. "No your father made it and it was given to me by my father who explained how to use it. I use my ability to take light and use it's heat to harden a sword out of it. So you could say it would only work with me or my father." he said and smiled. He frowned when she said she wasn't calm and he watched her hands move over the clay. "Yeah well still you are remarkable in your ability to not lash out." he said and smiled. "No the normal mortals could not see the monsters. They see the mess the monster makes but not the monster itself which is both good and bad." he said and shrugged. "Did you study mythology?" he asked. Mitch reached into his bag again and pulled out a book. He had dog eared some pieces about her father. He handed the book to her. "If you would like to read more about him these stories are pretty good." he said and smiled.
Leena looked back at him as he apologized and she listened to him talk. "Thanks Ethan." she said as he said he just wanted to get her to safety. He then admitted he had been in this situation before. She frowned as she listened to his story. It made sense now why he was so strict. She sighed and nodded. "Alright I get it you're my guardian and it's a big job but let me help them. You don't need to protect me from everything you can share with me." she said and smiled softly at him. "Besides you are already getting us far away. So tell me how else can they track us?" she asked him and bit her lip turning to him. Leena could be rational but she demanded to be respected anyways.

Clara listened as the blonde haired male explained to her that his weapon had been forged by her father and gifted to him by his father. She was fascinated at how it worked turning in her seat to look at him fully as he spieled off about his weapon. She was also astounded at the fact that no one could see the creatures, she wondered what they thought when they saw all the destruction that was left behind them.Clara shook her head when he asked her about studying mythology.
"No, but I do remember my mother occasionally telling me the myths, mainly about my father... who at the time I didn't realise was my father, obviously." she dropped the piece of clay from her hand when Mitch handed her a book. She began to read it amazed that it was easier for her to read. The words swirled before her eyes but instead of not making sense like they normally did they formed words that she could read and understand.
"Thank you," she smiled before beginning to read as they made their way to the camp. She read about Apollo, Aphrodite, Hades, Zeus all the gods and their stories as well as the heroes.
Ethan allowed himself to smile at the female, "Some of the other ways they can track you depending on the creature is your scent. Demi-gods as you know smell different. They are sweeter whereas a normal human has no scent to a monster."
Ethan made a turn relieved that they had finally turned onto the road that would lead them to camp, it was less than a five minute drive and he felt so relieved; they hadn't come across another monster and it seems that they had lost the last one that had been at the school.
"We're nearly there then you can ask Chiron anything you want to know about. He could tell you more than I can." the male turned to look at the female shooting her another smile and pulling into the camp through the protective border. They were safe now. No creature could cross the border.

Mitch nodded and smiled as he glanced at her now and then watching her absorb the book. "You hungry?" he asked. They had a bout a days journey to camp if they kept driving through the night they could be there by this time tomorrow. Mitch was planning on it no matter what it took he was going to get Clara in safely to the camp. He smiled as he turned o the radio down low as to not otherwise disturb Clara. He wondered if she was going to be alright going into camp because he knew it was going to be a lot to take in. They might give her a few days but nothing more then that.
Leena looked at Ethan as he said they were here. "What really I lived this close to it? How come no one has ever found it?" she asked. Leena didn't think it would be this close to the suburbs. Leena bit her lip and looked around at the camp as they drove up. She bit her lip and shook her head. This was impossible. It had been so simple getting here after all that had happened earlier in the day it seemed almost anti climatic. "So what now? I meet with this Chiron person and..." she trailed off her eyes following a centaur. "Oh boy." she said and ran a hand through her hair feeling like she had stepped into a dream. "Alright I'm convinced I'm dreaming." she said and shook her head.

Clara had become absorbed in the book Mitch had handed her, she wasn't sure how long it would stay that way, she was easily bored with it but she knew she should try to get some of the book read even if it is only one or two pages she could always go back to it later. Looking up from her book she spoke.
"Yeah starving actually. That running away has me famished," she stated turning to look at the blonde briefly before turning her attention back to the book in her hand. She didn't have to see it but she heard a difference in the radio sound so she knew Mitch had kindly turned it down for her.
"Have you met your mother?" the brunette asked lifting her head from the book again. She had questions and she couldn't stay quiet.
A chuckle left the males lips, "Yes you did," he stated as he pulled up the car shutting off the engine just as a satyr ran up to the car. Ethan got out hi-fiving the creature, another demigod brought to camp safe and slightly unharmed.
"Lucas where is Chiron?" he asked the Satyr. The creature looked over at Leena smiling before walking over to her.
"You're not dreaming this is real. I am sure you have many questions follow me and I will show you to Chiron." Ethan followed the two knowing that it was going to be a shock to the female when she sees the camp leader. A centaur. Half man half horse. This was going to be good.
"Try not to act too surprised... or shocked when you see him," he told her as they entered one of the cabins.

Mitch nodded and took an exit to go grab some fast food. He relaxed as they drove. He was just glad that he had the car and they didn't have to do this the hard way and walk all the way to camp, or rather run because the monsters they could pass from here to there would not be fun. When she asked about his mother he smiled. "Not exactly. We've had contact but it's not exactly meeting like facebooked to face or anything. Maybe one day." he said and shrugged then looked at her. "I wouldn't expect to see your father Clara. But it is very common for parents to contact their child in someway. Usually it starts before you get to camp, something small, but if not then it nearly always happens at camp." he said and pulled up to a fast food place. "What sounds good?" he asked and pulled out his money out of the go bag as she looked over the menu.
Leena got out of the car and followed Ethan. She didn't know if she had questions right now. It just seemed she was trying to absorb everything. She knew the questions would come later. Leena was half thinking of running away from were ever Ethan was taking her. Not even an hour ago she was a normal kid with a problem sleeping but that was it. She swallowed and looked back at Lucas, or that was what she thought she caught his name being. Leena stepped up next to Ethan and tugged on his shirt. "Will I be able to find you later?" she asked afraid to loose the only connection she had to her old life.

When they walked into one of the cabins she looked around taking in the normal of the room until her eyes landed on Chiron and she bit her lip and looked down. She didn't know what to say. All she could think about was how much she just wanted to find a place to sit down alone and not think about how much everything changed but who she still was.
