When Earth had gone through the greatest transformation, were the oceans rose and the storms nearly devastated the planet, a tremendous evolution occurred in nearly half the population. Those with a particular genetic marker morphed into humans with abilities that had never been seen before. These people were called the Evos. Their abilities ranged from human qualities that were heightened and to those who had the ability to manipulate elements around them. This strange evolution frightened those that had become the Orthos, the humans without evo genetic markers. The Orthos rely on science and civilization, which they have learned to rebuild from scratch taking the old information passed on by those that survived the transformation of Earth. The Evos who have adapted take a holistic approach, believing in honoring the Earth with their presence and advances. These differences in opinions have always kept the towns across New Pangaea separated between Evos and Orthos, but neither can truly leave the other to their own devices. The Evos don't trust that the Orthos will won't ruin the Earth again and the Orthos knowing that their way of life threatened the beliefs of the Evos. This quarrel kept the the Evos and the Orthos separated not through the laws of the land, which the Evos fallow, and the laws of the Orthos but through the options of the masses and by those who's options matter in both groups.

Once a year in the spring time there is always a special events for the Evos and the Orthos when the two groups of people that inhabit Pangaea come together and mingle together. The spring solstice happened to fall on this very special day and the Orthos often join in the Evos celebrations as well as buying from their merchants. The week before the solstice always has the Evos town brimming with people of all kinds, moving about trading and selling merchandise to give to those they cared about on the day they all celebrate the end of the winter.
It is on such a day that Athena happened to be working at a one of the merchant booths on the street. She was nearing the end of her shift her eyes shifting over the crowded streets for potential customers when her eyes meet those of a man across the street. She could tell immediately that he was Orthos. It was his look, how he walked, how he held himself, it was his presence in the space he was in. Still when her eyes met his it didn't mater because of that was goofy grin plastered across his face. She couldn't tell if he was really seeing her or if he just happened to be looking her way but she could tell in his eyes when he realized she was looking back at him. Athena smiled softly and tucked her hair behind her ear. She looked down at her cloths running a hand over her shirt before she turned back to the items on her cart helping a nice young girl who asked about one of their many products on the booth table top. Athena tried not to think about the man who's eyes had captured her own so easily.
Cyrus walked through the town of the Ethos close to his home town. The two often were much closer then either side spoke of a short walk through a nice wooden area separating the two. It was odd walking into the Evo's town. They had such organic looking houses and an older style of doing things. Everything looked as if it predated to the times were there was no civilization. Even after the transformation there had been civilization and ways to bring back the ways of old. Sure it took more time and they had done away with many things had had been of no use such as much of the technology of old like cars, phones and other things the Evos considers things that would pollute the land. Still they had their taller buildings but nothing like it use to be. The Orthos towns were more like the old upscale neighborhoods with their fancy store but nothing so crazy. The were allowed limited mining abilities for building and technology but their scientific and medical advances were many. They were a much smarter civilization then the civilization from before the transformation. Cyrus was already amazed to see how they had adapted many of the old folk tales of old and made them a reality with their genetic abilities. Cyrus looked around and smiled softly stopping here and there to see if he could find his sister something pretty.

Brayden had been asked to go to their town. He had family coming over from the other side, and his mother wanted to prepare a meal for them before attending the festivities. The way things worked were that if there was a family of four, a father, a mother, a son, and a, daughter ; the father and daughter would get separated, and vise versa. It was their means of keeping the population in control allowing the families to reunite during special occasions.

Brayden currently found himself waiting to cross the street. It didn't bother him, the separation. At least not that he'd let show. But, ever since the Evos became known, they've kept a close eye on everyone. Which is the main reason the families were split up. Some held the marker, others didn't.

You know how you get that feeling someone is watching you? Well, that was the feeling Brayden currently had, or something like it. He tried his best to ignore it, knowing that he was always being watched, but this time was different. Glancing over at the stands across the street, Brayden couldn't help but take notice of a female. He had never seen her before. Perhaps she was recently taken from her family? Yeah, that was it.

It was rude to stare, but Brayden couldn't tear his eyes away. His eyes then narrowed with intrigue, only for the male to jump slightly as someone pushed passed him. The light had changed. Looking back to the woman, they locked eyes. A sheepish grin came across his face as they did. He then broke contact as he remembered what his intent was. The male finally ventured across the street. Her booth was his first stop.

Freya sighed lightly as she placed her last box on the stand. It was her favorite time of the year. Where everyone came together, where everyone was normal. If one looked at her stand, they would see various hand crafted objects, mainly made out of stone, pretty much anything that had a rock like feel. She unloaded bracelets that varied in color with matching necklaces and stone plates. She figured the plates would be the highest sell as they are a necessity, she made a lot. If they didn't all sell, there was always next year.

Despite the joy of the solstice , Freya couldn't help but frown slightly as various people turned her items down. Them feeling they couldn't trust her kind. Perhaps if they got to learn about each other they wouldn't be as afraid? However the accords set for both sides wouldn't allow that.

With an elbow propped, Freya awaited either her next client, or the next being to turn away.

Athena smiled as the man who had been looking at her approached. She could tell he didn't yet classify her in his mind as Evos even though she obviously was because she was here working. "Hello." she said knowing as soon as she spoke it would register and he would back away. The schools between the Evos and the Orthos were different in many ways but the way the Orthos forced their children to learn everything they wanted was very different from the laid back approach of the Evos. Athena smiled brightly surprised the man didn't seem to step back as if he might accidentally catch being an Evo like most other men that realized she was a beautiful Evo. "What can I help you with?" she asked and looked at him thinking about what his life must be like. The Evos had been fighting for their freedom from Orthos rules and were slowly breaking down their walls. She was actually in the first generation that were they were allowing family to stay together no matter the children they had. It wasn't common for Evo's to have huge families either. They understood how they freaked out the Orthos and many of the Evos didn't want to bring children into that but others simply didn't want that many children because they understood the capacity of the earth. Athena smiled as she helped the man pick out some fresh fruits and vegetables that would go well with what his mother was planning o make for the festive dinner but it made her sad more and more Orthos seemed to be doing that instead of joining in the Evos feast they threw for all to join in welcoming the new season.
Cyrus had been to several different booths not finding something that he thought his sister would like. He sighed as he rubbed the back of his neck. The Evos had been very distrusting of him so far seeming to be waiting for him to judge them and disrespect them. He didn't think this entire separation thing was working. He walked trough the street until he came upon a booth and stopped seeing a stone catch his eyes. He smiled as he stepped closer. Cyrus looked up at the woman in the booth and froze. she was stunning and he felt his mind go blank even as she said hello. It took him a while, so long she started to look at him funny and he shook his head. "Hi. Uhh sorry I was just umm zoning out yeah that's it." he lied and chuckled before picking up a necklace and looking at the stone pendant. "This is stunning were did you find this stone?" he asked. He knew the Evos got their records from the land close to them and some Evos even had a connection to the earth but he didn't know to much about that. Cyrus looked back at the girl and smiled feeling more comfortable as she started to talk.

Brayden knew what the woman was. But that didn't elicit fear within him. His sister was one. And because of that, he was more so curious about them. They couldn't all be as bad as they make them seem, right? Besides, this was a rare opportunity for Brayden. The male was going to take advantage of the situation if he ever planned on finding a solution for his family.

"My mother is in need of ingredients for a special dinner. " The male explained.

If Brayden were to express his true thoughts on the Evos, he would be considered an outcast. See, Brayden was one of the first to have built a bond with his sister, them both being teenagers when they were separated, when the Evos were discovered. One could say his parents were ahead of the trend.

Grasping an apple in his hand, Brayden couldn't help but to stare at the woman before him. Despite them just meeting, she managed to captive the male with just few spoken words.

"What's it like? " He then asked, breaking his stare before placing the apple in the grocery bag. He assumed she would know that he had meant what was it like to have powers. Brayden didn't receive powers, unlike his sister. Perhaps one would guess it also fed into his intrigue.

A male approached her stand. His stance was relaxed, something Freya was not used to seeing amongst his kind. He was different. "Hello. " She said in a cheerful manner as she straightened up her posture. For a moment, the other didn't say anything, he just stood there frozen with an amusing expression plastered on his face, causing Freya to laugh softly.

Her head then tilted to the side some as she continued to look at the male, waiting for his speech. Then he did it, he spoke. "Right. " She said with a large grin and a nod as he explained his reasoning. As he began to look at the various objects on the stand, Freya watched. She observed the specific necklaces the male picked, then she picked up another necklace of similar form to make as a suggestion.

Upon his question, Freya couldn't help but smile. It amazed her how the Orthos seemed to be robotic in a way, they didn't seem to take pleasure in their surroundings. Perhaps it was due to the different ways of how each side lived. "If you take the time and look, you can find beauty anywhere. " She answered as she looked at the stone in the necklace before looking up to him.

Freya then picked up the bracelet that matched the necklace he held. "Here, they come in a set. That way, your lucky lady will be covered for next year. Unless you're getting them for yourself. " She then teased.

Athena tilted her head to the side and smiled softly. "That is a very personal question for not even knowing my name." she said and looked him over. "But it is different for everyone." she said and smiled. "But that is a conversation for a much longer amount of time." she said and looked back to the cart of things on it and food. "Here take some of these too and shred them over the top of the main dish." she said and placed them in a special bag and handed the truffles over. "Just a little will go a long way." she said. Athena liked how his energy felt. She could feel his presence like the ocean it surrounded her senses and drew her in wanting more. She smiled softly and tucked a piece of her hair behind her ear. Kellen walked over and put a hand on her back. He was about her age and taller then any man she knew. He looked down at the Ortho with suspicion. She sighed and shook her head knowing Kellen would understand the man in front of them was nothing but kind. He seemed to relax a little a smile touching his lips. He was like a bear but he had a soft side too. She grinned. "Well this is Kellen and he can help you with any other needs you have I'm off." she said and smiled passing by the man and placing her delicate hand on his arm. "It was nice to meet you regardless." she said and smiled her eyes lighting up with a hidden emotion and a dare. Athena smiled her hand slipping away and she started to walk away. "Maybe I'll see you around city boy." she said using one of the nicer names for an Ortho. Athena smiled as she walked through the crowd wondering if he would watch her walk away or follow her.
Cyrus smiled as she basically insulted his lack of sight. "Right probably is, guess I'm pretty blind maybe I need someone to teach me to see." he said and smiled before looking at the bracelet and he nodded. His sister did like symmetry. He looked back at the woman and chuckled as she suggested it was for his girlfriend. When she suggested it was for him his ears turned red. "Umm actually it's just for my sister but she will like these both." he said and nodded like he had made a firm decision. "So you working the entire day?" he asked intrigued by the woman and reluctant to leave her cart but he couldn't very well just buy her out just because he wanted to know her name and what her life was like. He was trying to think of an excuse to get to stay just a little longer or come back later. Cyrus pulled out some currency that the Ethos and Orthos shared. It was the only way the Orthos could interact with Ethos and vice versa. They actually got lot more items from the Ethos then they realized most the time but it was kept more confidential the reliance on the Ethos. There were reasons after all why the Orthos that were scared of the Ethos didn't just act violently towards them. Cyrus liked to believe it was because it was unethical but knew better then that.
