Treading The Unknown

After she had grabbed a few other items, namely clothes blankets and sheets for the crib she followed him to the check out then sighed as she pulled out her card to pay for everything, "I know, I kind of pulled you into this - sorry, I just.. she left her and I've never even held a baby before today," she murmured softly as she bounced Jenny in her arms.

He nodded,"Mhm, shes a art major," he said as he looked at her, "she's a great drawer actually," he admitted as he'd seen some of her work.

She nodded a little. She knew it was no ones fault but her owns and now she regretted it. How did she tell him she wished she hadn't said what she did and just told him yes, especially now that he had a date. "That's pretty cool," She said, nodding a little. "Is she pretty?" She asked curiously. It was a stupid question, she knew but she couldn't help but ask.

He rolled his eyes and leaned down, pecking her lips quickly to shut her up and shaking his head. "Don't worry about it, I'm here aren't I?" He asked her, looking at Jenny. "Plus I know what I'm doing, I won't just leave you. I just was expecting to wake up to a round two, not an infant." He laughed. "I mean I wore a condom specifically to prevent this, and look." He joked.

He nodded,"Yeah she is," he said smiling a little as he wrote down a few things into his journal before sighing he hated math but his degree called for it. A part of him felt bad for teasing her this way with little details, he didn't know the girl well but he knew his plan would work - it already was.

She snorted a little as she looked at him, "I know, and I'm very thankful you're here," she said to him lightly as she smiled a bit then walked with him to the car, "Alright lets set up the carseat,"

She set her bowl down and got up, going to his room for clothes. She wore his clothes so often, she didn't think twice about it. But she was jealous, and in a way she wanted to get back at him. She put on his favorite shirt on her, knowing that while it probably wouldn't do anything it would make her feel better about it.

He pulled the box out and ripped off the tape, setting it up easily and putting the extra pieces back into the box. "You're definitely going to need space. All of these boxes... you could build a hallway."

"I can throw most of the boxes away and I have a walk in closet so some of her stuff can go in there too," she murmured softly, "I'll have to manage for now but hopefully within the next two weeks I can get a new place, it'll get crowded if I start buying her toys,"

"Did anyone bother you at the party?" he asked as he looked at her then closed this book done taking notes for the night.

"A few guys wanted to hook up, but I told them no," She said, walking back into the room and putting her dishes into the sink.

"My apartment is bigger if you need the space, I don't mind letting you use it. I have a spare bedroom, I use it for my film stuff but its okay, it has a bed in it and everything." He offered, making sure the chair was secure.

He was surprised and looked at her with a furrowed brow, "Why?" he asked as he sipped his sweet tea then pushed a hand through his hair.

"I don't know," she murmured softly, "It won't be long till I can get my own place and I don't want you to not have some where to escape to if you needi t," she told him with a small sigh.

She laughed sarcastically. "I told them I had someone better to go home to," She shook her head, rinsing the dishes off and putting them into the machine. "They left me alone a little after that."

"Its there if you need it," He said to her. "Plus, I'll have my own room." He added. "You dont have to act on it, its just if you want."

A week later Lyanna sighed as she got the last of her boxes packed up, she had guilted her parents into buying her a three bedroom house - it was perfect, she sent them all the information and required it be in her name. She told the movers where everything needed to go then picked up Jenny who was whining, "Hey princess calm the heck down," she murmured as she held her and smiled kissing her head affectionately.

She stumbled up the stairs to Jaehyuns apartment, not even drunk but very close to downing the entire bottle of vodka she had in her hand. She hadn't even gone there the night he had his date, she stayed away, not being able to keep a straight face when all she wanted to do was scream. She knocked on the door, her eyes determined, she had everything she planned on saying on the tip of her tongue, she just wanted to tell him so she could get it out of her system.

He carried in a box and set it down, opening it up and setting up the swing. He turned to Lyanna and looked around. "Your parents would rather buy you a house and car than help take car of their grandchild," He said in astonishment. "So what do you need me to do?"

"Her crib is being delivered soon, I'll need help with that - the movers are bringing the furniture I ordered," she said as she looked at him then sighed, "My parents are shitty, always have been," she muttered quietly then put Jenny in the swing once it was built

Jaehyun opened the door, "Hey, haven't seen you in a while figured you got bored of my cooking," he laughed a little he was happy to see she was okay but he didn't know what to say. The date hadn't gone wellm in fact it was a disaster - she was crazy he was sure of it.

She walked in and sighed, crossing her arms. "I don't want you going on dates with other people," She said to him. "I'm really not the girlfriend type, and the thought of dating someone exclusively makes me itch, but the thought of you with someone else makes me want to scream and I hate it. I'm not even the jealous type and I spent almost all of yesterday night wondering where you were or where you took her and why I was so stupid and if you would ever take me out," She continued, not even stopping to breathe.

"I know I can't tell you what to do but I would really really like it if you would cut her loose and take me instead, I didn't even drink so that I would be able to remember all of this and I just really don't want to share you with anyone else." She said, exhaling at the end.

He sighed, sitting on the floor and turning the swing on. "Did you ask your friend if he could watch Jenny? You are entitled to breaks you know," He said, raising an eyebrow and laying onto the carpet.

"I did, he said he could watch her for me all day tomorrow so I can get the house set up," she said smiling a little, "I figure I'll pack the portable crib, her carseat and baby wrap, to take over to his whike he watches her," she said to him as she rubbed her face then sat down next to him and grabbed his hand in hers. "I can't thank you enough,"

To say he was shocked would be an understatement, he hadn't expected this from her she had been so sure that dating wasn't for her he was positive this would never happen. "I guess it's lucky for you she was crazy then," he murmured as he looked at her.

She sighed. "I really hate the idea of dating, but seeing as you won't have me any other way, and I can't stand the thought of you with someone else, I'll have to compromise and deal." She said to him. "I'm not good at it, but I guess somethings got to give."

He laid down and closed his eyes, smiling a bit. "You can make it up to me somehow I'm sure you'll think of something. But it's not a problem, Jenny is a sweet baby, if she was difficult then yeah, I probably would have ran a bit faster." He joked.

Lyanna rolled her eyes a little and she smoothed a hand through his hair, "I'll cook something good for us tonight - the groceries were ordered and will be here soon too - I didn't feel like going to get them so I ordered enough to get me through two weeks and to keep the pantry stocked - thank you dads credit card," she grinned a little as she sighed.

He grabbed her and pulled her into his arms then sighed, "I can make you happy," he murmured softlt as he held her.

She sighed, wrapping her arms around his neck and burying her face into his chest. "You'd better," She mumbled. "I wouldn't have agreed for anyone else," She said, shaking her head. "You said she was crazy?"

"What can you make?" He asked curiously. "I'd really like some fish," He said, nodding a little. "That would be really good right now."

"I can do that, I ordered some salmon steaks," she said as she looked at him, "Salt pepper some lemon juice should be just fine," she said as she thought about it, "And maybe some pilaf with it and roasted potatos?" she asked as she looked at him admiring his features.

He held her close and closed his eyes then sighed, "Mhm, she had paintings of me in her journal from like six months ago," he said with a sigh, "it was creepy some of them looked like there was blood on them?" he said with an alarmed tone.

"That sounds good, what time should I be over?" He joked, knowing he wasn't leaving any time soon. "You know, Jenny is asleep, we have some time before she wakes back up."

She looked at him, shaking her head. "You do seem to attract the crazy ones." She said, going into his room. She looked for some clothes and sighed, changing and tossing her clothes onto the chair. "So are you going tto call the cops?"

She nodded,"We do have time, and the rest of the stuff wont be here for the next two hours," she murmured as she chewed on the inside of her cheek unsure of what he was suggesting but she really hoped it wasn't a nap.

He smirked a little then shook his head,"Nah, not till she does something I dont feel threatened by her just weirded out, and it might not be blooed it could be paint,"

"If it was from six months ago isn't that stalking?" She asked him, going to sit on his bed and sighing. "Also can I start bringing my cat here, I miss him and I'm here more than I am at home." She said, crossing her legs.

He stood and pulled her up. "We should go test out your new bed," He said, pulling her up toward the bedroom. He lifted her into his arms, burying his face into her chest.
