Untamed

Illiana stood up from the receptionist desk she was sitting at and walked into the office of her boss that was a few feet away. She walked over and sat a paper on the desk with a phone number and message for him. She stood there for a moment when he held up his finger to her to wait and sighed softly.

Illiana had gotten the job a few years back when she had literally had nothing but the clothes on her back and $100 to her name. Her ex fiance had kicked her out on her ass and left her with absolutely nothing. She had been inside of a Starbucks and he had walked in in his fancy suit and expensive jacket. He had automatically asked her if she was okay because she was literally a mess and it was from then on that she had been working for him. He had taken her to the store and bought her new clothes for the job and had even assisted her in buying her own place once she had enough money. But before that he had paid for her to stay in a hotel.

Illiana sighed softly as she looked around the room, biting down on her bottom lip gently. Her and Brian had been flirting for months and she was wondering if he was ever going to at least ask her on a date instead of just leading her on. She was half tempted to ask him on a date herself.

Brian finally put the phone in his hand down and turned his attention to Illiana. His gaze dropped to the papers she had just placed on his table and he quickly glanced through them. Once he was satisfied, he looked up to talk but, before the words left him, his phone rang again. A frustrated sigh left his lips as he reached for the phone, mouthing a sorry before speaking into the phone.
