Tempted

Matt ran out of the bank with Rebecca, laughing as he held his gun in one hand and had a sack of money hooked around his free arm. He winked over at her as he opened the door to the getaway car and threw the money in the back before he got inside the drivers side of the car. He glanced down to make sure it was still running as he waited for Rebecca.

Matt had gotten into this business long before he had met Rebecca and when they found each other, they just became partners in crime. Quite literally. He had stolen her a diamond ring one day because she wanted it more than anything else and he had pretty much gotten her anything else she wanted no matter how expensive it was. She was his world and he would do anything for her.

Rebecca flashed the large man a grin, a laugh escaping her lips as she jumped into the waiting car. Tossing the bag in her hand into the back seat, she nodded at Matt to drive. Of course they had to get out of there. Not that they would actually be caught. They were a well-oiled machine, knowing what the other was thinking without anyone having had to say anything out loud. The ring Matt had gotten her when they had first met hung safely around her neck and, as she usually did once they had made a successful bust, she raised it up to her lips to give it a kiss.
