Coming Home

Makenna sighed when she felt her phone going off in her pocket. She stood near the stage at a concert she was at taking pictures. Makenna finally answered her phone, "Yea!" She yelled over the music. She was surprised to hear her friend Emily on the other line talking about a job she had for her that involved her traveling and taking pictures of some band. "Who!? " She asked. She was surprised to hear her friend said it was Avenged Sevenfold. "No fucking way! I'm on my way!" She said as she hung up. Her friend had explained that they were waiting with their manager to meet her. Makenna got out of the concert then took off through the city, walking through everyone quickly.

Makenna walked across the street frowning when a taxi almost hit her. She glared at the guy, "Hey! I'm walking here!" She yelled as she kicked his bumper. Makenna was a little firecracker as her friends liked to call her. She was only 4'11 but she could hold her own. Makenna walked onto the side walk, smiling when she seen a girl standing out in the hallway with Emily. "Hi. You must be Ellie." She said, shaking the other girls hand. "I'm Roxie. Emily told me you were looking for a photographer." She said.

Makenna walked in, smiling when she saw that the band was actually there. She looked over as their manager introduced them too her. "Hi." She said, giving them a small wave. She knew they had already looked over her pictures so clearly they liked her work. She looked at the guys, amazed that she was actually even being considered for helping their band. She looked over as their manager spoke.

John looked at the guys, "Alright so El's friend Emily was nice enough to find us a good photographer so everyone this is Makenna. Makenna these are the guys." He said, introducing them.

Brian sighed as he sat there with the guys, listening to Emily talk to this girl on the phone. He watched as she hung up, then looked at his manager, "John, seems like this girl is busy." He chuckled. He looked at the girl when she said that this girl Roxie was on her way. Brian walked over to the window, looking out it as he waited for her to get there. His eyes looked over at El and then he looked out the window. He watched as John walked out with El to meet this girl.

Zacky sighed, "Dude this chick better be hot." He said, chuckling as he punched Matt playfully in the arm. "You know you will like that Sanders." He teased his friend.

Brian smirked, "Hey guys i found her." He said, feeling the band move around him, watching the girl kick the car. "Oh wonderful she has Matt's attitude." He said, rolling his eyes. Brian moved away from the window and sat down with the rest of them. He looked at El as she walked in with the new girl and John.

Ellie had always wanted a job with a band. The fact that she had gotten a job with Avenged Sevenfold, her favourite band, was just an added bonus. Though she was only an assistant to the manager, she still got to hang out with the band, she got to go on tour and, her favourite of it all, she got to watch all shows from backstage.

Today, after a very long search, they had finally found a new band photographer. Since she was suggested by Emily, El figured she'd be bloody good at her job. It didn't take too long for her to figure out that her and the new photographer who had just arrived, Makenna, would be good friends. She didn't need to see her pictures, that was Emily's job. For El, it was all about making sure Makenna was well settled in and had access to wherever she wanted or needed access to. "We should head back to work." She murmured to everyone who had gathered and then, turning to Makenna with a grin, she nodded. "Come on. I'll show you around. It's really nice having another girl around. There's way too much testosterone going around here." The laugh that followed was a soft one and, with one glance at the guys who were, obviously, watching, she turned back to the blonde. "I'll take you around first and then introduce you to the guys. They're supposed to be prepping for the show right now."

Matt had heard rumours of the new photographer long before anyone else had heard of her. Being Matt, he'd gone online, looked her up and, he had to admit, he was impressed. When Makenna had actually arrived, and everyone was buzzing about her, Matt had just looked on, ignoring the guys and the banter and teasing that was going on. He figured they'd get to meet her eventually. He knew Ellie would bring her around to meet the guys. Not because it was more of a necessity but because, everyone knew, she had a thing for Brian and, as the boys knew, Brian had a thing for the brunette.

"Let's just get back to work, yeah?"

Makenna smiled at the brunette, "Sure sounds like a plan." She said as she walked off with her. There was a lot to take in. "Um do you mind if i see the stage?" She asked. She knew they had a bit til they started letting people in. She walked to where she would be standing and taking pictures and began to looked at the stage from her view. Makenna knew from seeing the guys that they were high energy and she wanted to get them at their best moments. She looked over at Ellie, "Anything else you need to show me?" She asked her.

Brian smiled at Matt, "Yea yea." He said, waving Matt off. He went back to helping get things ready before he stood with Zacky and joked around. He looked at Matt, "So you did the most research on our new photographer. What did you learn?" He asked, smirking. He knew that Matt had been looking up the girl for awhile. Brian was sure she had to be pretty good if Matt approved of her for the band.

With a shrug of her shoulders, El smiled. "There's really not too much to show around here. I've already shown you the green rooms, the meet-and-greet area, the stage. All that's left is the area where the guys are prepping." The smile on her face grew as soon as she remembered that that meant being there when Matt met the new kid. He had done a lot of research on her, seeing that Emily had first talked to him about reeling Makenna in as their photographer. "I think they should be just about getting done now. We could go there next, if you'd like?"

With a shrug of his shoulders, Matt started to help around with whatever he could. "She's done some good work. I've seen a lot of her photographs. Well, whatever I could find online, that is. I didn't get around to reading much about her, but her work speaks enough. I think she'd fit in perfectly with everyone here." Another shrug accompanied the end of that sentence as Matt turned to look at his brothers. "Looks like we're done here."

Makenna walked with Ellie to the guys and smiled at them. Zacky looked at Makenna, “So have you been taking pictures long?” He asked. Makenna nodded, “Yes for about four years now.” She answered. She looked at Matt who was busy helping set up. She could help but think about how cute he was. She was crazy for even thinking he would be interested in a girl like her. Makenna looked at her camera, hearing John say that they were letting people in.

Brian smiled at Ellie when they stood by themselves, “Good job picking the photographer El.” He said, smiling. Brian looked at John as he spoke, “I can’t wait.” He said, getting excited. He always got excited about the shows. He grabbed a beer, opening it and taking a swig of it. He looked at Ellie and smirked.

Ellie, who had moved to one side of the room after introducing Makenna to the guys, let out a chuckle at Brian's words. "I didn't pick her though. Matt did. And Emily did. I'm just showing her around." Shrugging her shoulders, she turned her attention back to the blonde, who was surrounded by the people El had started to consider her family. "She seems nice enough though. And she definitely seems to have it all together, work wise." As she spoke, El moved to stand beside Brian, a smile playing on her lips. Of all the guys, she had always felt closest to Brian, mostly because she found him easiest to talk to.

Matt, who had grabbed a beer for himself as well, leaned against a wall, watching all the interaction. For once, he didn't feel like talking too much. With his eyes following the blonde, Matt took a swig of his beer. He'd noticed how El had slunk off to stand with Brian, how Zacky and Johnny were busy chatting up Makenna, the newest chick on the block, and he wondered, for a brief moment, what the rest of the tour would be like, what with another spitfire like himself joining the tour group, and he couldn't help but chuckle. It was going to be fun.

Brian nodded, "Yea well let's hope that everyone else likes her as much as we do." He said, smirking. He looked at her, "So are you excited about the next city we go to?" He asked. He really would like to spend some time alone with Ellie, but it didn't seem to be happening any time soon. He sighed as he looked around the area, then turned his attention back to Ellie.

Makenna looked over as the John came out and told the guys they were up in three minutes. She looked at Zacky as he kept talking, trying not to let her eyes drift to Matt while she listened. She stepped back from Zacky when it was time for them to go on stage. "Wish me luck." She said to Ellie before leaving the girl and going to take pictures. Makenna was amazed at how many good shots she was getting of the guys during the show. It was nice to see the passion they had on stage.

El shrugged her shoulders. "With you guys around, it honestly doesn't matter where we head to next. The excitement levels are at a constant high." A soft laugh leaves her as she cocks a brow at Brian's sigh. "Stressed about something, are we?" She asked, wondering if Brian's ex-wife, Michelle, was back to calling him constantly. She had been stalking him across cities that she could reach easily and they had done their best to keep her away but there was only so much that the crew could do.

Matt had tried to keep his gaze off of the blonde but he couldn't quite keep away for long. Glad that it was time to head onto the stage, he started walking towards the stage, a smirk forming on his lips as he walked past Brian and Ellie. "Come on, man. Time to go make a few hundred people really happy."

Brian looked at her, "Yea just a little. I got like ten missed calls from Michelle, but i don't think i should call her back." He said. HE looked over when he heard Matt talked to them. "Alright let's do this." He said. He gave Ellie one last smile before he headed out on stage. Brian smirked as they began to perform. He loved how excited their fans got. It was an incredible feeling to know that you touched so many lives at once.

Makenna smiled as she walked to wear she could get some good pictures. She took some pretty awesome pictures, making sure that every one of them shows the guys personalities. After the show she walked backstage and smiled as the guys came off the stage. "Good job guys that was an amazing show." She said, smiling at all of them.

The show was over and it was time to help the guys relax while the crew packed up. Ellie walked to the green room, a six pack in tow. It was one of her rituals. After every show, she'd take a six pack to the guys to celebrate a successful show. When she walked in, she saw Makenna talking to the guys. So, instead of interrupting, she made her way to the mini fridge and sat the six pack down. She knew she needed to talk to Brian, especially after they left their conversation hanging, but he looked exhausted so the conversation could wait, for sure.

Matt had flopped down onto one of the bean bags but he'd jumped right back up onto his feet when Makenna walked in. Moving over to her with the rest of the band, he cocked his brow. "So? Did you get any good pictures?"

Brian smiled as he looked over as Ellie brought beer towards them. "Thanks." He said as he took the beer from her, popping the top. He took a few good swigs of it before looking over at Makenna who was showing the guys some pictures from the show. He looked at Ellie, "Enjoy the show?" He asked with a smile.

Makenna nodded as she pulled her camera out, "Yea i got some good ones. They will be better once i edit and all that." She said as she showed them some of the pictures. She was glad that they were actually impressed by the pictures. She relaxed as they finished looking at them then sat down in one of the chairs.

"Always do." She murmured, popping open a bottle for herself. A smile formed on her face as she turned her head to look at Brian. "You doing okay?" She knew the answer, of course. The conversation they had started before the gig was enough to throw anyone off their game. Even so, Brian had been his amazing self. He'd played through the stress and he'd kicked ass at it.

Matt walked over to Ellie and Brian to grab a beer. He didn't say much, mostly because he didn't want to interrupt Brian and El. Instead, he just grabbed a bottle and made his way back to the rest of the group. "Great images, Mak." He murmured as he passed the female.

Brian looked at her, "I'm okay." He said, shrugging, "Just trying to relax on this trip." He said. He took a swig of his beer. He was glad that Ellie cared so much about him. "My plan is to ignore Michelle's calls and maybe she will leave me alone." He said, chuckling.

Makenna smiled, "Thanks." She said to him. She sat with the guys as they sat there talking about the show. She was pretty excited to go on this tour with them. Makenna looked at her phone and then looked up when they mentioned getting on the bus and getting ready to head out.
