(Since they're heading to school, I think I'll leave Derek out until maybe after school?)

Kaycee and Beth had spent the last month running and hiding from their former Alpha. The man had taken them in, told them they'd all be a family, and then turned them into werewolves. That in itself wouldn't have been all that bad, but some kids didn't survive the bite. The only thing they could really do was run and, somehow, they had ended up in Beacon Hills. Kaycee wasn't really sure what had brought them there; she'd never even heard of the place until she was the Welcome to Beacon Hills sign when they were entering the town. They'd hidden out in a motel, using money they'd stolen from their alpha, and Kaycee was set on trying to be normal, which was why she'd found somebody to forge documents so they could go to school. It was where they were heading now and Kaycee took a deep breath as they arrived and she looked to Beth. "Are you ready for this?" she asked quietly.
Things weren't really all that great. The Alpha pack had made its presence in Beacon Hills known and Stiles worried about his friends. It didn't help that two members of the Alpha pack were attending their school now and they had to be even more on guard than usual, because they definitely did not play fair. Rubbing at the back of his head, he made his way to his locker, though his eyes searched for his friends. It wasn't usually such a good idea to be alone lately, after all, even at school, and that frustrated him. It left everybody on edge, but there wasn't much that any of them could do about it right now. They'd have to figure out at way to get the Alpha pack to leave or to take down the pack in general, but he wasn't sure if either options was exactly realistic. It was the most that he could hope for in the situation that they were all in, though, and he couldn't really just give up on making sure that they all stayed safe, could he?

    [That's fine Cute]

"Am I ready to be gawked at for being the new kid? Not in the slightest." Beth told her as she got out of the car that they totally hadn't stolen. She liked to think that they had a pass considering the circumstances though. It wasn't every day that you get taken in by someone, told that you're going to be a family and then get turned into a werewolf all in the matter of a few short days. Despite how crazy that seemed, that wasn't what bothered Beth though. It was the fact that their former Alpha hadn't bothered telling any of them that there was a chance that they wouldn't survive the bite in the first place. Beth lost all respect for him then, and she and Kaycee hightailed it out of there like a bat out of Hell after that. Things were looking up a little bit now though. She wasn't as dead-set on being normal as her friend was, but started fresh did sound like a good idea. Being the new kid was going to suck, but she'd suck it up and deal with it.
Scott didn't really understand why Beacon Hills seemed like it was a magnet for all things supernatural. He wouldn't have a problem with it if the things that it attracted didn't mean something bad for him and his friends, and he'd thought that things could only go up after everything that had gone down with Jackson, but when the Alpha pack showed up in town he knew that he couldn't be more wrong. School normally would have been a slight safe haven for him and his friends, but now they had the twins to deal with. With everything that had gone down between Isaac and the twins, he knew that he was going to have to keep an eye on his friend now more than ever before. Despite this, he was going to try to go to school and be as normal as he possibly could with the current situation at hand. That's all he could really do right now. That and make sure that none of his friends got hurt.
Isaac paused briefly as he walked across the parking lot to school. He had caught a new scent, a distinct werewolf scent, and his eyes flashed gold for a moment as he glanced around the outside perimeter of the school. It wasn't the twins, and it wasn't one of the other members of the Alpha pack, so who the hell was it? When he couldn't quite pinpoint where the scent was coming from, he continued across the parking lot and into the school. He knew two things: there were two of them and that he needed to tell Scott straight away. Which is precisely why he headed straight to Scott's locker instead of going to his own first. "Are you alright, man?" Scott asked when he saw the expression on Isaac's face. Isaac knew that he probably automatically assumed that he was on edge because of the twins, but that wasn't the case. Not right now anyway. "No, I think we have company. And they aren't from the Alpha pack either."

Kaycee offered a small smile and nudged her friend gently once she got close. "If we survive the first day, we're golden," she assured quietly. That was her hope, anyways. As long as they could avoid attracting attention to themselves, they could just relax a bit, pretend that their Alpha didn't exist and that they had never been bitten and turned - at least until the full moon, anyways. Letting out a breath, she looked ahead. "Come on, let's go." She nodded once before she led the way inside, though she could smell werewolves the moment they got close to the doors. She tensed slightly but tried to ignore it. It wasn't like she expected their pack to be the only one to exist, after all, so she tried to remind herself that running into others was likely.
The moment Stiles spotted his friends, he rushed over, though he caught the tail end of what Isaac had said. "What? What are you talking about?" he asked before he looked to Scott. "Scott, what is he talking about? There's no way more werewolves are around, right? He's just imagining things. He's got to be imagining things." He wasn't sure if this was good or bad news, but it made him tense and worried nonetheless. They couldn't afford to have more trouble brewing for them. He hadn't even thought that there could possibly be any way that this year could get any worse. "I'd like to survive this school year, thanks. Can we hurry up and find out what's going on?" he asked quickly as he looked between the pair. "Use your wolf senses or something."

“If you say so, Kay.” Beth said, mustering a small smile. Her friend was always the more optimistic one of the two of them. Beth wasn’t a major pessimist or debbie-downer, though she did like to consider herself a realist. And right now she knew, realistically, that today was likely going to suck. She was just going to try to take things in stride and hope for the best. It sucked being the new kid, and that was kind of inevitable. With a quiet sigh, she followed her friend towards the front doors of the school. As they neared the doors, she couldn’t help smelling other werewolves too. She knew that there were others out there, so she wasn’t too surprised by the scent. “Wanna take bets on how long it takes someone to approach us because we’re new?” She asked her friend as they walked through the doors. “I’m giving it five minutes tops.”
“I know what I smelt, Stiles.” Isaac said, shooting a pointed look the lanky teen’s way. He knew that there were other werewolves here. His nose wasn’t playing tricks on him or anything like that. “They were still outside when I came in, they should be coming in soon.” He told them both, glancing back towards the doors. He wasn’t sure if whoever he had smelt was an immediate threat to all of them, but with the Alpha pack in town, until he was proved otherwise, he was going to consider any new werewolves that showed up in Beacon Hills a threat. He resisted the urge to roll his eyes as Stiles continued to run his mouth, yammering on about how he wanted to survive the school year and that they should use their wolf senses to figure out who the new werewolves were.
“Just calm down for a second, Stiles.” Scott told his best friend. He understood why his friend was kind of freaking out. It was understandable considering the fact that the other newcomers happened to be the Alpha pack. He wanted to think that it was some strange coincidence that they would show up and not long after other werewolves would show up too, but he couldn’t be sure. Like Isaac, he was going to consider them a threaten until it was proven otherwise. He followed Isaac’s gaze towards the door, moments later two girls walked in and he picked up on the scent almost immediately. “It’s them.” He said, both his and Isaac’s eyes flashing gold for a couple of seconds. He was quiet after that and tried to hone in on the conversation they were having. It seemed fairly normal, though he still wasn’t going to let his guard down just yet. “Go talk to them, Stiles.” He told his friend.

"Five minutes?" Kaycee repeated as she thought over it for a moment before she shook her head. "Definitely less than five minutes. This school looks small, so we'd be noticed a lot faster than we would if we went to a bigger school. Why'd we stop here again?" She knew it was a question neither of them could answer; when they came upon the town of Beacon Hills, they just couldn't really bring themselves to leave, it seemed. But, really... As long as Kaycee had her friend, she didn't really care about where they were.
Stiles looked towards the girls before his eyes went back to Scott and Isaac. "What? Me? You're just going to send me off to the slaughter like that?" he asked quickly, though it was clear he was overthinking. It wasn't really anything new; it never had been. Regardless, his eyes went back to the girls and he sighed quietly. "If they tear me apart, make sure to avenge me," he muttered quietly before he rushed over to the girls. He forced on his best grin and offered a wave. "Hey there! You two are clearly new. I'm Stiles. Welcome to Beacon Hills High School."

“Maybe you’re right.” Beth said, shrugging her shoulders. She was certain that someone would approach them sooner or later, regardless of the size of the school. Her friend was probably right though, it did seem like a pretty small school. It was probably one of those ones where everyone knew everyone which also meant it was probably extremely cliquey too. Wonderful. Just what she wanted to deal with today. “I’m not really sure actually. It seemed pretty low-key, I guess.” She told her friend moments before someone approached them. Clearly Kaycee had won the bet. He was cute in that sort of I’m socially awkward kind of way. She sent a small smile his way. “That we are. I’m Beth, this is Kaycee.”
“You’ll be fine, Stiles.” Scott assured his friend. He highly doubted that either of the girls was going to try something in the middle of a crowded hallway. It was just his best friend being overly dramatic like always. “Do you think they’re here because of the Alpha pack?” Isaac murmured to Scott. “I don’t know, we’ll find out soon enough though.” He responded, his gaze never once leaving Stiles who had approached them. The girl with the reddish brown hair had just smiled and introduced herself and her friend to him. “They don’t seem too threatening.” He said. “The twins don’t seem too threatening in a school setting either.” Isaac reminded him.

Kaycee could smell werewolf on the guy, but he definitely wasn't a werewolf himself. That meant he probably hung out with werewolves. Did he even know that he did? She almost felt bad for the kid, but she pushed the thought aside. "Thanks for welcoming us to the school," she said with a small smile. "We're hoping that this year will be a good one for us. We don't usually get to enjoy school." For the most part, with their Alpha, they'd been homeschooled.
"Beth and Kaycee, got it," Stiles said with a small grin, mentally debating on saying the names around the twins to see if the twins reacted at all. At least, then, they could figure out if they were there with the Alpha pack or on their own. From there, they could work on figuring out if they were a threat or not. "Well, would you like for me to show you both around? Do you have your class schedules already?"

Beth noticed the stench of werewolf on the guy too, but he seemed relatively harmless and very human. She too wondered if he knew that werewolves existed or not, though it was something that only crossed her mind briefly. “Yeah, this is all pretty new for us.” She admitted with a slight laugh. It was weird being in a public school after getting used to being homeschooled by their Alpha. It was a small school though, as Kaycee had pointed out, so it wasn’t really all that overwhelming for her. She glanced over to her friend for a moment when Stiles offered to show them around before looking back to him. “That would be great actually, we haven’t gotten our schedules yet, no. We have to go to the main office for that I think?”
“Should we go over there?” Isaac asked as he and Scott watched the exchange between Stiles and the two girls. Beth and Kaycee as they had been introduced moments before. Stiles had just offered to show both girls around the school, neither of them seemed all that threatening right now, though Scott couldn’t be too sure just yet. “Yeah, lets go.” He nodded and started towards where Stiles, Beth and Kaycee were in the hallway. “Stiles!” He called out to his friend, making it seem like he and Isaac had only just spotted him moments before.

(since they're all together, I'm gonna combine the parts.)

Stiles wondered what was so different about school for them. They said it was new, but what exactly did that mean? Maybe they'd been in private schools or home school or maybe no school at all? He offered a smile, though, and nodded. "Yeah, I don't mind showing you to the main office first. Follow me," he told them.

Kaycee was relieved that the guy seemed nice enough. Moreover, it helped to know that somebody was willing to show them around. "Thanks, it's a real help," she mentioned. She, however, blinked when somebody called the guy's name and she followed the sound of the voice but tensed when the scents made it to her and Beth.

"Oh, hey!" Stiles said with a grin as he waved at Scott and Isaac. "Scott, Isaac, this is Beth and Kaycee. They're new here, but I'm sure that's obvious."

At this point, Kaycee was sure they were set up. Stiles' heartbeat was quick and irregular, reminiscent of lying. Still, she didn't want to call them out on it and nodded. "It's nice to meet you two."

[I'm going to do the same Cute]

Stiles definitely seemed nice enough, and Beth still thought he was pretty cute. No one else had offered to show them around school, so she was glad that Kaycee thought it was a good idea too. Now they'd have someone to show them around, and Beth got to see more of the cute boy. "Seriously, you have no idea." She added with a smile after Kaycee thanked him and told him his help was appreciated. Shortly after though, she heard someone call his name out and followed Kaycee's gaze, tensing up as well when their scents hit her. Werewolves. Two of them. They definitely had been set up, there was no doubt about it.

"Yeah, really nice to meet you two." Beth said, offering a small smile to the two guys who had just approached them and Stiles.

"I think this is the most new people we've gotten in a while, right, Scott?" The one guy, Isaac, said to the other.

"Really? I'm assuming you don't get a lot of new kids here." Beth commented. It seemed like a small school, so she was kind of surprised that she and Kaycee weren't the only new kids at school. She wondered who else was new.

"Yeah, we don't see many new faces here." Scott said. "Where are you two from?"

Kaycee eyed the trio for a moment, though the smile remained on her features. "Do you normally greet new students with 21 Questions?" she asked with an arched brow, though her smile dropped. "How about you ask us whatever it is you want to ask? Sending over your friend to get us in a state of security before you come over to interrogate us 'discreetly' is foul play."

Stiles blinked, unsure of how to respond. They were clearly caught, but these two weren't acting hostile or anything. He wasn't sure what to think about that. His only real option was to play dumb. "Wait, I'm confused. What are you talking about?" he asked.

"Do you think we're idiots?" Kaycee asked before she sighed. "That's insulting."

Stiles paused and rubbed at his head before he looked to Scott and Isaac. He wasn't sure how to deal with the situation now.

Beth was glad that Kaycee had said something because she was about five seconds away from saying something herself. She eyed the three guys, wondering if they really thought that it wasn’t obvious what they were all up to. “Look, I don’t know what you three seem to think, but we’re just here for a fresh start. That’s it.” She told them. It was the truth, part of it anyway. She wasn’t about to give them hers and Kaycee’s life stories in the middle of the hallway though.

“Alright, we’re sorry. You two just chose a really convenient time to show up here.” Scott told them, causing Beth to raise an eyebrow. “What’s so convenient about it?” She asked.

“A pack of Alphas showed up a few weeks ago. They’ve already killed two of our friends.” Isaac said, not about to sugarcoat any of it for either of them.

"Alphas?" Kaycee asked, though she looked pretty tense with the thought. She looked to Beth, mentally hoping that it didn't involve their former Alpha. Shaking the thought away, she frowned at the mention of deaths. She and Beth had seen several deaths, so they could relate. "We're sorry to hear that, but we're not involved with any of that. We're really just... Trying to survive, that's all."

The way these two worded everything made Stiles' brows furrowed slightly. They were there for a fresh start? Trying to survive? Something about it put Stiles on edge - not in the sense that he thought they were up to no good, but that maybe they were running from something in their pasts or something. "Okay," he said with a nod, "I actually believe them." He looked to Isaac and Scott, wondering if they'd agree or not.

Beth couldn't help tensing up a bit when Isaac mentioned a pack of Alphas being in town. Just by looking over to Kaycee she could tell that the same thought had crossed her friend's mind. Was their Alpha part of that pack? Could he have come here tracking them down? Had they already let their guard down too much?

"We have nothing to do with them at all." Beth said, reiterating what Kaycee had just said. Maybe it was a little bit redundant, but it was the truth.

Scott noticed that both girls seemed to tense up at the mention of the Alpha pack. That proved that they weren't with them, but he didn't know if it meant that they knew them or not. "I believe them too." He said a few moments after Stiles said that he did.

"So they have nothing to do with them, that still doesn't explain what they're doing here." Isaac said, not fully convinced that they could trust either of the girls. "We shouldn't have that conversation here, Isaac." Scott said.

Kaycee's jaw clenched when she heard Isaac's words and she settled a glare on him. She was good at controlling her anger as a werewolf, since they'd been wolves for a while now, but that didn't mean she wasn't irritated. Eventually, she forced a smile to her lips and moved over to him, pressing a hand to his chest before she pushed him up to the nearest locker. "You think we're here to cause trouble, is that it?" she asked, tilting her head slightly. "Here's the thing, we don't give a crap about you and your friends and the only reason we'd give a crap about the Alpha pack is if a specific Alpha who turns little kids is with them. We're not here for trouble, we're running from it. Got it?"

Stiles watched with surprise and, for a moment, he thought claws were going to be drawn and digging into Isaac's chest at any moment, but that didn't seem to be the case. Maybe that girl thought the only way to get a point through to Isaac was to give herself an opportunity to hurt him, but to refrain from doing so? Or by making physical contact? Oh, that could be it, Stiles realized. He wasn't sure, but maybe the girl was trying to make it easier to hear a pulse so that Isaac could hear whether she was lying or not. Or maybe it really was the other reason, but who knew? For all he knew, the girl could just be irritated and making a point in her own way. But, as he processed her words, he blinked. "Wait. An Alpha that turns kids?" he repeated with surprise.

This caught Kaycee's attention and she looked over at him. "Yeah. But, you know, some kids don't survive the turn. Plenty of them die and we're trying to avoid running into him again," she said simply before she backed away from Isaac and returned to her friend's side. "Have you heard about somebody like that in that Alpha pack?"

Stiles shook his head slightly. "No, not at all," he told them before he shrugged. "There's the Alpha of the Alphas, who's blind. Um... This woman who walks around barefoot. Twins, who go to this school now. And some buff guy. To join the pack, though, they have to kill their original pack members." They'd forced Derek to kill one of his, even though Derek wanted nothing to do with the Alpha pack.

Beth wasn't at all surprised when Kaycee sort of went off on Isaac in the calmest way she possibly could. Her friend was smart, and she knew that she wouldn't cause too much of a scene in the middle of a crowded hallway on their first day at the school, so she knew that claws weren't about to come out. It was clear that Isaac's words had pissed the brunette off though, and Beth didn't exactly blame her. He was kind of being a dick for no reason at all. She understood keeping his guard up, but he didn't know them, so he really shouldn't have been making any assumptions about them whatsoever. At least Stiles and Scott seemed to trust them enough.

Isaac could tell he'd pissed the brunette off the moment he saw her clench her jaw. He hoped that she had enough control to not wolf out in the middle of the school, though he was a bit taken aback when she pushed him up against the lockers. He was silent as she spoke, and finally nodded once she had finished. "Got it." He breathed moments before Stiles spoke and voiced the exact question that had crossed through his mind as well. What kind of an Alpha turned little kids? "That's a little twisted." He said moments after Stiles had spoke.

"You think?" Beth frowned. Their Alpha seemed to feed off of the innocence of little kids. It was pretty damn twisted and a little sick too. He normally went after kids who had pretty sucky home-lives and made them think that what he had to offer them was a new family. What little kid really knew whether or not they wanted the bite though? She and Kaycee honestly hadn't really thought much of it until they realized that some people didn't survive the bite at all. They'd been the first two that their Alpha had ever turned, and for a while they'd been too young to really understand why some of the people turned after them suddenly disappeared. Their Alpha was good at hiding that. "That's even more twisted." She said when Stiles told them that Alphas could only join the Alpha pack if they killed one of their own pack members. "When did they show up here?"

"A couple of weeks ago." Scott said. "Two of our friends are dead because of them, and a bunch of other weird crap has been happening too." As if the Alpha pack wasn't bad enough, now there seemed be someone going around killing people too. He was really starting to wish that things could be like they used to be. Beacon Hills had always been a small, quiet town, but that didn't really seem to be the case anymore. "We should talk more about this later though. Wouldn't want you two to be late on your first day." He told them. "Derek's?" Isaac asked and Scott nodded. "That's what I was thinking."

"Oh! Right! I have to show you two to the office," Stiles said quickly as he looked to the pair. "I mean, like Scott said, we wouldn't want you two to be late on your first day. Especially if you're looking for a fresh start." That's what Beth had called it, right? "Oh, but... If you see a pair of twins, avoid them. I'm sure you'll be able to smell them before you see them, but, like I said, they're part of that pack, and they have this love of annoying people and causing trouble." They'd instigated Isaac on that run, after all, and it had ended with Isaac getting in trouble. They were constantly trying to cause problems, but at least the group tended to be able to react and get back at them. He didn't want to see these two get dragged into that, though.

"Right, okay," Kaycee said before she sighed and adjusted her bag. She looked to Stiles, eying him for a moment, though she eventually looked impatient. "Well? Are you going to show us to the office or not?"

Stiles blinked, eyes wide, though he nodded. "Right! Come on, then," he told them before he led the way.

Kaycee glanced to the other pair for a moment, arching a brow. "Make sure to fill us completely in later," she told them, assuming they would, since they had apparently agreed to going to Derek's - whoever or wherever that was. Regardless, she looked after Stiles and linked her arm through Beth's before she followed after the odd guy.

"We'll explain everything later." Scott told the girls. They'd sort of filled them in on as much as they could in a short amount of time, but there were other things that they'd probably still need to know. He figured Derek would want to meet them as well, make sure that they weren't any sort of a threat even though Scott had already pretty much decided that they weren't. He knew that Derek would want to make that decision himself though, that was just how he was.

"Dually noted." Beth said when Stiles told them to avoid a pair of twins. She couldn't help smiling when he sort of rambled for a little bit. It was cute. Of course, when he approached her and Kaycee earlier she'd already thought he was cute, but she was noticing other things about him that made him even cuter now. "I'm sure we'll see you two around." She said to Isaac and Scott before Kaycee looped her arm through hers and Stiles led them in the direction of the main office.

"Do you really think we can trust them?" Isaac asked Scott once the girls were out of earshot, even with wolf hearing. He wanted to trust them, but after everything that had happened already this year he wasn't sure if he could just yet. "They weren't lying about wanting a fresh start. I don't really think they're a threat to us." Scott told his friend as they headed down the hallway towards class. "How can you be so sure though?" Isaac asked. Scott shrugged his shoulders. "Instinct, I guess."

As they got to the office, Stiles turned to look at them with a smile. "Okay, so, here it is," he told them with a firm nod. "Once you two get your schedules, I'm sure they'll assign the principal or secretary to show you around, but I can at least look at your schedules and see if we have any classes together. At least, that way, if you two don't have all of your classes with each other, you'll at least know if you have classes with one of the three of us or something, so you won't totally be alone."

Kaycee stared at him for a moment before she exchanged an amused look at Beth. He was rambling and Kaycee knew Beth liked awkward, rambling guys. To tease her friend, she wiggled her brows but shrugged and looked to the office. "Alright, we'll be right back, then," she said before she moved to tug her friend inside. They were greeted by the secretary and, once Kaycee gave the woman their names, she began searching for the schedules she had printed out for them recently.
