it had been a whole year since Charlie had set foot in Mystic Falls, both her and her sister Letha had been away with her family training and hunting the supernatural, and now she was home. The blonde was happy to be home, happy to back somewhere familiar and happier still to be back to her own bed. She pulled up in front of the Grill, she needed something to eat before heading back home and collapsing on her bed. For the past twelve months her father had had her on a strict diet and a sleeping regime that consisted of 3-5 hours sleep. Now that she was back she planned to change that at least the sleeping. Even though it had been a whole year her body still yearned for a luxurious nine hour sleep.

Charlie closed her door and walked into the bar, instantly the smell of greasy food and alcohol hit her sense of smell. Happily almost giddily she walked over to the bar where she was greeted by a blonde haired, blue eyed male with a beautiful smile.

"Hey there, what can I get you?"

"Hello. Can I get a burger with fries and a pint of whatever beer you have," she knew her father would be against her choice of food but she was desperate. Once she had placed her order she walked over and found a booth seat.
Klaus had spent the last three days in Mystic Falls, there had been talk of a new group of hunters have been making their way around, seeing as Mystic was one town filled with vampires and other supernatural beings he thought it best to return. He knew it would only be a matter of time before they showed up and he wanted to be here when they did and get rid of them before they made their way to New Orleans.

That and there was always Caroline. Of course he would keep her distance from her but he wanted to make sure that she was kept safe, she was one of the only people he really cared about. However he wasn't here alone, his brother had come along with him for reasons he didn't know.

  • Elijah would much prefer to be in New Orleans right now. They were finally returning to building a life there. Their family was finding a home once more. But, for some reason, his brother had decided to return to Mystic Falls. It made no sense to Elijah and his brother refused to explain the situation. Regardless, Elijah had no choice but to follow Niklaus here. His brother tended to be self-destructive and Elijah needed to keep an eye on him.

For now, Niklaus seemed to be on good behavior, so Elijah was mostly relaxing while he could, before the storm that inevitably came with his brother's presence began to brew. It was why he found himself at The Grill, enjoying a drink, though his eyes wandered to a girl who walked in, one who he didn't recognize.

"Are you perhaps new to Mystic Falls?" he asked from the table he was at, near the booth she was at.
Letha had grown to detest this life. It was bad enough that she'd had to leave Mystic Falls last year, during her last year of high school, but everything changed along the way. Hers and her sister's diets were adjusted to a more healthy standard. They barely got any sleep, since their days consisted of constant training and their nights consisted of hunting. Moreover, they'd had to witness thing that she never wanted to see again.

But, they were back in Mystic Falls now and she hoped for nothing more than for her life to return to normal. She wanted that, needed normalcy, craved it. Of course, she was doubtful she'd get it, but she tried not to think about it too much. Instead, she focused on wandering around Mystic Falls in hopes of getting used to her hometown again.

They'd only been gone a year, but it felt like so much longer had passed. Luckily, it didn't seem like much in Mystic Falls had changed, though.

Charlie turned her attention to the male that had just spoken to her, he was a rather handsome male so she couldn't stop the blush that flushed her cheeks when he spoke to her. He had a British accent that made it even harder for her to control her heartbeat. He couldn't have been any older then twenty-five and there was an allure about him.

"I... uh... I guess you could say. I've been away for a year..." she said as her eyes gazed over his profile. Strong features, hard jawline and dark endless eyes. "I take it you are a local?" she questioned turning slightly in her seat so that her body was facing him a little more. For a local she had never seen him before, when she had been living here, she was certain she would have remembered someone like him. A gentleman with a gorgeous smile and heart melting accent.
Klaus had been walking down the street toward the Grill where he knew Elijah would be waiting for him. That was until he ran into someone. He was about to shout at them for being so careless however the words silenced when he looked down at who he had run into. A young woman. Blonde haired and blue eyed.

"Oh, I am terribly sorry," he apologised, "I was not watching where I was going." his hands were grasping her forearms to stop the two of them from being knocked off balance, quickly he let go of her when he knew they were both safe from falling. "You're new to town," it was more of a statement then a question, he had never seen her before and he had been in Mystic Falls for a while.

  • Elijah smiled slightly as he listened to her speak and he easily took notice of the red tinting her cheeks and the way her heart beat picked up. He was quite used to how women reacted to him, but it was nice to see such a reaction from somebody who so easily caught his attention. He idly wondered what it was about her that made him come over so quickly, but he dismissed the thought; he was here now and they were talking - and she didn't seem averse to his company.

"Not exactly," he told her with a small shrug. "My family and I were here for a little while, then we left. My brother recently came back, though, and because he tends to get into troublesome situations more often than not, it is my duty to ensure he doesn't do anything irrational." He stared at her for a moment before he offered his hand. "Forgive my rudeness, I haven't introduced myself. I'm Elijah Mikaelson."
Letha knew the look in the man's eyes when they'd run into each other. She was certain he was going to snap at her, yell that she should be watching where she's going because entitled guys tended to think that nothing was their fault. But, the look had faded from his eyes and she wanted to roll her own, because she knew that look, too. How a pretty face could calm anger that quickly baffled her.

Once she had found her balance, thanks to the man's help, she straightened her clothes a bit and arched a brow. "New?" she repeated before she shook her head. "No, not really. I lived her up until a year ago. We just came back recently. So, really... It seems like you're new to town, not me." She eyed him for a moment, taking him in. How was it fair that a man could be this attractive? Ah, but he clearly had a temper, even if he had disguised it fairly quickly. What a shame.

"Well aren't you a good brother." she smiled. "Oh yeah of course, hi, I'm Charlie Gibbs. Nice to meet you," she took his hand there was something about his touch that was different, his hands seemed colder than normal. God now she was becoming her father, instantly assuming every person with a cold touch was a vampire. Charlie looked around spying an empty booth. "are you here with anyone?" she asked turning her attention back to him, "if you're not you are more than welcome to join me. Stop me from looking like Nigel no friends."

Charlie must admit it was a little strange asking a random stranger to sit with her but he seemed genuine and if anything happened she knew how to defend herself in fifty different ways. Plus he had been the one who had spoken to her first. She had no idea where Letha was and she couldn't help but wonder if she should go find her, however when her stomach growled she knew the answer was no, plus she had just ordered, Letha would have to find her. Plus she had to remind herself she hadn't come back home to babysit or coddle her sister. Letha was old enough and trained enough to protect herself.
"Ah yes well, I lived here for a little while before moving, however as you can see I am back in town... personal reasons you see," he paused looking at the female. "What brings you back?" he was genuinely curious as to what had bought this lovely lady back to Mystic Falls, he also wanted to know why she had left.

"How rude of me, I haven't even introduced myself, Klaus Mikaelson. How do you do?" he extended his hand waiting for her to return the gesture, he knew he probably should have been getting on to Elijah but his attention had been drawn elsewhere. That and the blonde vampire knew that his brother would wait for him as there was nothing of importance for him to do.
    March 28th, 2017 at 02:49pm
  • "It's nice to meet you as well," Elijah said with a small smile and nodded as he slipped his hand into his pocket. His eyes followed hers when she looked around and his gaze settled on the empty booth once he noticed that was what she had looked at. "Not currently, no. I'm waiting for my brother to meet me here, so I certainly do not mind joining you until his arrival." He nodded once more before he held his hand out to help her get up, as he was nothing if not a gentleman.

For the most part, he was sure that Klaus would either take his time arriving at The Grill or he would just avoid showing up entirely. It was up to his brother in the end, though, and although he could try to steer his brother's mind into avoiding causing trouble, he was certain that Klaus may very well be doing that at the moment. "Though, I am curious, do you really not have any friends? If this is your home, I would assume you had friends before you left or that you would, at the very least, know a few acquaintances?"
Letha arched a brow as she listened to him. Personal reasons was definitely a vague answer, but it wasn't as though she expected a detailed explanation, considering they'd only just met. In a town like Mystic Falls, it was usually best to keep everything to yourself before it came back to bite you. "How long do you plan to stay in town?" she asked with mild curiosity. She wasn't aware of how long he'd lived there before, after all, considering he'd only said that he'd lived there for a little while. "Oh, family matters. I'd explain, but it's really boring." And anything she'd tell him would be a lie, but she couldn't exactly say that.

When he introduced himself, she hesitated only for a moment before she placed her hand in his and shook it while answering, "Letha Gibbs. It's nice to meet you, Klaus." She offered a smile and dropped her hand, but she tried not to really pay attention to the difference of temperature or the fact that his eyes reflected too many years of mischief and behavior to be normal for a guy his age; he wasn't like the guys from Mystic Falls, after all, so she couldn't just assume that he should be like every partying moronic guy there. Maybe he really was just wise beyond his years and she shouldn't let suspicion cloud her judgment.

Charlie nodded her head smiling at the male who was rising to his feet, she headed over to the booth slipping into a seat and waiting, she didn't really know what to talk about but her light eyes scanned over the male. He was dressed in a finely pressed suit, he had an aura of authority.

"So... tell me a little bit about yourself Elijah... what are you interested in? What do you do for a living? Small talk works wonders to pass time," she smiled looking up when a waiter arrived with her food. He placed it down, it was a different person to the one that had taken her order. Instantly her mouth began to water at the smell off deep fried chips and sizzling meat. "I hope you don't mind I am starving," she grabbed a chip and began to eat.
"Pleasure's all mine," he smiled pressing his lips to the back of her hand. Family matters sounds like something he would like a little more about, however he seemed he would be a little rude if he tried to pry. "Where are you heading, perhaps I could walk you there?" he asked looking around the streets. He wasn't quite ready to say goodbye to Letha yet. There was something about her that made him want to stay, to get to know her a little bit more. So he was trying to come up with any excuse to enjoy her company for a little longer.
    April 26th, 2017 at 09:59am
  • Elijah chuckled quietly to her questions but offered a small nod in response as he allowed himself to relax in his seat. "My interests vary. For the most part, though, I usually have to concentrate on keeping my family out of trouble," he answered, figuring that was his main interest. "As for what I do for a living... I suppose you could assume I'm a freelancer or an entrepreneur." Because, really, he didn't have a job or a career. He didn't need money to get what he wanted, but he couldn't tell her that. "No, go ahead and enjoy your meal."
Letha tried not to look too amused by his actions, but she couldn't help but to let out a short laugh before she shook her head. "I don't think many guys kiss the backs of stranger's hands," she mentioned almost jokingly, though she didn't bother thinking about it too much.

She blinked, though, to his question, and she rubbed the back of her neck, uncertain of how she should answer. While she wouldn't mind the company, she worried she'd get lectured by Charlie for spending any amount of time with a man she'd only just met. "I'm heading to the Mystic Grill," she answered with a small shrug. "I'm supposed to meet my sister there. If you're sure you want to come along, you can, I guess. I can't guarantee that my sister won't be suspicious of you, though."

(I am going to skip Charlie because I am having a blank so I will start with her again when we get to the Grill)

"I am old fashioned," Klaus simply replied, that was putting it mildly. The blonde haired original watched a look of uncertainty came over her but she soon relented and told him her final destination.

"Well, Love, it seems were are heading to the same destination and for similar reasons, I too am meeting my brother. So why not walk together," he smile before beginning to walk toward their destination. The conversation between him and Letha was small nothing of importance and within minutes they had reached The Grill and were inside where they saw the two funnily enough seated together.

  • (No worries!)

Letha offered a small smile and a nod in response, but she was soon focused on heading to the Grill. Upon arrival, her eyes scanned around, though it wasn't difficult to spot Charlie with a man Letha didn't recognize. Heading over, she offered a smile to her sister. "Decided to eat without me?" she asked, tilting her head, "Looks like you even got company." Her tone was teasing, then, and she nudged her older sister slightly.

Elijah peered up when he heard the door open, though he had caught sight of Niklaus and the girl he'd come in with, though the girl had all but made a beeline to Charlie. This brought out Elijah's curiosity, as he wondered if this was coincidence - how odd. Regardless, he looked back to Charlie. "It seems my brother, Niklaus, has arrived," he mentioned after a moment, though he glanced to Letha and offered a polite nod in acknowledgment.

Regardless, his eyes went back to Niklaus and he hoped that his brother hadn't caused any trouble. A part of him worried that Niklaus was using the girl as well; it wouldn't be outside Niklaus's character, after all, and it wouldn't surprise him if Niklaus compelled the girl to provide himself some entertainment. That in itself gave him a reason to stick around. "Will you be joining us over here, Niklaus?"

It took a moment for Letha to realize that Niklaus was the Klaus she'd been with. Glancing over, she eyed Klaus for a moment before she settled her gaze back on Charlie. "I feel like the possibility of us sisters running into a pair of brothers without each other around is a little weird," she joked lightly.

Charlie turned to her sister a smile spreading across her face before a blush bloomed across her cheeks at the mention of her company.

"Well sis, you were taking forever and I was starving for something deep fried and I just couldn't wait. But it seems you found someone that pointed you in the right direction. I thought you were lost," she replied in a light playful tone. At the mention of Elijah's brother the woman turned her head and saw the blonde haired male standing at the doorway. Looking vastly different to his brother. Blonde hair and blue eyed where as Elijah was dark haired and dark eyed. The certainly didn't look like brothers.

"There's room for one more!" Charlie sung out shooting a smile at the male. When her sister mentioned it being a little weird that they had run into two brother she must admit it was a little strange but she kept her opinions to herself before passing her sister a menu. "The burger's pretty good... just letting you know," she pointed out before taking another bit of hers
Klaus smiled before walking over to the booth where the three now sat, "It seems I will be as there is room," he said shooting a smile at Letha's sister. "Hello there I'm Niklaus however everyone, other than my brother calls me Klaus and you are?" He watched as the blonde quickly swallowed her food extending his hand.

"Yes uh sorry, Charlie," the blonde reached out her hand and Klaus gently placed a kiss on the back of it, he must admit he liked to watch female's reactions. Her cheeks became an even darker shade of scarlet before she cleared her throat. He dropped down next to his brother his attention drawn back to Letha who was still scanning her menu.
    April 27th, 2017 at 03:58am
  • "We haven't been gone so long that I wouldn't remember how to get to The Grill," Letha assured with a small grin as her eyes began to scan through the menu. She so desperately wanted to have a burger when her sister mentioned it, but she worried that the diet their father had them on might make it difficult for their stomachs to handle it. "I think I'll just get a large order of extra salty fries."

Elijah's gaze settled on his brother, though he shook his head and looked to Charlie when he noticed the bright color on her cheeks. "You'll have to excuse my brother. He tends to go out of his way to charm any woman he happens to meet. I do hope you don't end up falling heavily for him," he mentioned a little jokingly, though he was also seriously. Partially, he worried that, if his brother got involved with either of the girls, it would just end with them getting hurt in the end.

"Is that so?" Letha asked, "His excuse was that he's old-fashioned." She offered an amused look over to Klaus but she lifted her hand to call for the waiter.

Charlie sat down and looked at Elijah before her eyes darted over to his brother who chuckled to himself.

"I will try not to," Charlie stated before taking a mouthful from her beer, the taste of it was almost enough to make her moan out loud but she kept it to herself as she looked at her sister who spoke up.

"Elijah my dear brother must you tell everyone my secret," Klaus asked turning to look at his brother before his attention turned back to Letha. Charlie grabbed her phone out of her pocket and checked the time. The two had to meet their father at their old house at two. It was already one. The blonde hoped her sisters food wouldn't be too long otherwise their father would be mad.

"So where have you two gentlemen blown in from?" Charlie asked genuinely interested in where the two brothers had come from.
    April 27th, 2017 at 01:54pm
  • "It's hardly a secret, Niklaus. I'd rather avoid letting these girls fall victim to your charms before they find out your charms aren't very selective," Elijah offered in response, though he looked fairly amused. Regardless, he turned his attention to Charlie, arching a brow when he noticed she seemed to be enjoying her beer. "At least you're enjoying your meal more than you're enjoying my brother's behavior."

Letha looked fairly amused herself, but she glanced to Klaus for a moment, tilting her head to the side. "It's a good thing your brother is here to protect our hearts, hm?" she joked lightly, though it took a few minutes before her fries came. Thanking the guy, she went ahead to douse her fries with ketchup and focused on eating.

"Oh, nowhere and everywhere," Elijah answered with a small shrug. "We tend to travel quite a bit."

"And yet you've both returned to Mystic Falls," Letha mentioned as she popped a fry into her mouth. "I can't imagine why. Mystic Falls isn't really all that intriguing."

"Oh yes, it has been a while since I could enjoy a cold beer and fried food. I think I have missed this more than I have missed sex to be honest," she stated as she took another fry and placed it into her mouth chewing. Her eyes zeroing in on her sisters food.

However the blonde looked up at Elijah when he answered her question, it was a rather vague answer that most certainly had her intrigued to learn more about the brown haired male. He was a man of the world and of culture. Charlie had always wanted to travel however with her father and his strict rules and their constant training it made it hard for her to catch up with anyone let alone even consider travelling.

"I have to agree with my sister on this one, there isn't much here,"

"On the contrary there is quite a lot in this town, if you know what to look for," Klaus answered his blue eyes darting to Letha who sat across from him. His lips curled into a half smile. "I would be more than willing to show you... if you so wish."
    May 8th, 2017 at 03:18pm
  • Letha looked faintly amused with her sister's words. When she noticed Charlie's attention on her fries, though, she snorted and pulled them more towards herself. "Don't even think about it," she mentioned before she popped another fry into her mouth.

"Why has it been so long since you could enjoy such simple things?" Elijah asked with mild curiosity, though he was possibly more than a little surprised that Charlie had mentioned sex at all. He supposed there wasn't much harm in the mention of it, though; it was still surprising to hear that she missed such simple enjoyments. What would cause anybody to miss out on such things?

Upon hearing Klaus's words, Letha turned her attention to him, blinking before she arched a brow. "Is that so?" she mentioned as she tilted her head slightly in curiosity. "I'd be more than willing to take you up on that offer, but Charlie and I have to meet with our father in about an hour. I don't think there's time to eat and follow you around, then get to where we're meant to meet him."

Charlie shot her sister a dirty look and she knew she wouldn't have enough time to order another round of food and eat it before the two had to meet her father so she simply looked at her sisters food to try and satisfy herself. It wasn't working at all.

"Dad has had us training. In order to get into peak position he kinda stopped all our intake of greasy fatty foods and alcohol so coming back home is refreshing and we were allowed a cheat day today." Charlie looked at Elijah before her eyes darted over to Klaus.

"Perhaps afterwards you and your sister could join my brother and I," Charlie turned and looked at Letha before shrugging her shoulders, she had nowhere else to be that day so why no enjoy the company of two men. It had been a while since she had been in the company of a guy.

"I am down for it, what do you say Letha?"
    May 18th, 2017 at 12:11pm
  • (Sorry for my long absence! I've been helping a family friend pack up her home and move and she's such a hoarder and had a huge house, so it took way too long. x.x)

Letha was a little surprised to find that the decision rested on her. For a moment, she wondered if they'd have time afterwards, since they weren't sure how long their father would have them train or if they'd have a hunt tonight as well. She popped the last fry into her mouth before she answered, "I guess we can do that, if it doesn't get too late."

Elijah, however, was mildly curious as to what sort of training their father had them doing if they were on such a strict diet. Perhaps they were into martial arts or something similar, but a part of him was a little wary and curious. He hoped his suspicions wouldn't have a need to grow but he nodded. "In that case, that will be fine with us," he decided.

Letha nodded slightly before she moved to grab a napkin, though she soon called over the waiter guy to borrow his pen, writing down her sister's and her numbers, along with their names beside each. Soon setting it on the table, she stood up. "Call us later and we'll let you know whether we're free yet. If we're not, at least we'll have your number or numbers to call back when we are," she mentioned.

Charlie didn't have to say much her sister had basically said it all. She bid both men goodbye smiling before getting to her feet and walking out with her sister leaving money on the table to cover her bill plus extra for a tip. Once they were outside of the bar she spoke.

"Where are we supposed to be meeting dad? Did he say the graveyard?" Charlie asked, she was certain that was where her father had said. As to why they were meeting in the graveyard Charlie had no idea considering they normally trained in a closed spaced building like a hall or a gym. Then again Mystic Falls was surrounded by hundreds of trees so perhaps that was where her father would continue their training as much as she would rather spend the day sitting and enjoying being home for a while she knew that wasn't on the cards.

"Also that blonde one in there most definitely had a thing for you, he couldn't keep his eyes off you," she teased playfully bumping her sisters hip with hers. It was true she was sure everyone in that bar could see Klaus had a thing for her sister, his eyes never left her and he seemed somewhat infatuated... was that word? Regardless the vibe she got from him was strong. "Are you excited to be seeing him again?" she hoped she was was because Charlie was most certainly excited to be seeing Elijah again. He most certainly had her attention.
Klaus watched as the two sisters left eyeing Letha rather closely as she left the building before grabbing the napkin memorising her number which wasn't hard to do it was a considerably easy one to remember. He was rather excited to be seeing her again later. He had come back to town for Caroline but he had stumbled across another beautiful blonde.

"So sorry brother for being late but..." he turned to look at his brother a wide smile spread across his face, "I had an issue that had to be dealt with." as Klaus had been walking to meet his brother Letha wasn't the first person he had ran into. No he was so unfortunate as to run into none other than Tyler Lockwood. The hybrid was always hell bent on causing a scene so naturally Klaus had to deal with that and send the child running with a hurt pride and his tail between his legs. The blonde had managed to see Caroline, she was happy he could see that in her eyes as she laughed and joked with her closest friends. He had decided to leave her and let her enjoy her day. By the time he had dealt with Tyler he was running late anyway.
