Aria had taken a break from school, so she was starting this year as a Freshman at the university she'd chosen. The year before, she'd avoided trying to attend school because she'd been a little upset about having to break up with Mikey when she moved away for family reasons. She hadn't wanted to hold Mikey back and she knew that it was likely he'd find somebody else at whatever university he decided to attend, so she'd broken up with him to give him that opportunity. She'd never explained it to him, of course, because she knew he would have tried to talk her out of it. Sighing, she pushed the thought aside and began grabbing her things out of the trunk of the car so that she could take them to her new dorm.
Luke adored his girlfriend, Aspen. Everything about her just brightened up his world, like his music did. As he finished unpacking his things, he looked to Calum, who was still unpacking, and laughed lightly. "Did you over pack movies and games again?" he asked with a shake of his head. Pulling out his phone, he looked down at the screen, which had Aspen as his wallpaper, and smiled before he pulled up her contact to call her. He mostly wanted to see if she was done, so they could meet up, or if she needed help with anything, so he could go help her. With that thought in mind, he went ahead to press the call and put his phone to his ear.
"Maybe," Calum said with a small grin, though he couldn't exactly help it. He knew they both needed things to entertain them when they weren't in class or when they weren't doing homework - or when Luke wasn't hanging out with Aspen. He tried not to think about that, because, really, he was a little jealous. Aspen was a wonderful girl and he felt a draw to her that he knew he shouldn't feel. It was one of the main reasons he'd brought the movies and games, if he was being honest. This way, if Luke asked him to join them for something, he could just make up an excuse that he was going to play a game or watch a movie.

Aspen practically dove across her room to grab her phone before it stopped ringing, even though she already knew it was Luke. She didn't want him to worry if she didn't answer. "You know life would be so much easier if we could just stay in the same room, or if you and Calum would move over to my dorm since it's coed over here and not where you guys stay," She answered the phone knowing there wasn't much that could be done about either of them moving dorms now, but it was always something they could keep in mind for the future.
Mikey wasn't new to the whole university scene. Just like he wasn't new to the whole living with Ashton thing, so it wasn't really unexpected when Ashton seemed like he was in a hurry to unpack his things probably so he could run off and scope out girls or maybe he finally had a girl and was trying to work on a relationship, who knew. Mikey didn't mind, though because he got it, scoping out girls was fine especially if you weren't in a relationship, or if you were trying to get over one that you'd been in. Hell once he was done unpacking his things he was almost thinking of giving it a try himself. Because he knew that he needed to get over this funk he was in regarding Aria. He just wasn't quite himself since the break up, and knew that if he ever really wanted to be him full self again he just needed to get back out there.
Ashton had shared a room with Mikey since the year before at UNI. That was when they'd met, became friends, and somehow both wound up discovering and deciding to join a couple of other guys they'd met and form a band together. And so far everything with the band was going really well. They'd actually put forth the effort to meet up over breaks and practice and with the new year starting he was pretty excited because they already had a couple of parties booked. Being in the band though and practicing over the summer before they'd all come back to uni had been the awesome though because it meant things were serious and he liked that because being in a band was something he'd wanted to do. However all Ashton wanted right now was to unpack his things and then head out and do what he could to scope out the girls around them because well it had been a while.

Aria found herself glancing around as she wandered the campus in search of her dorm building. The uni was a little overwhelming, but that's what she liked about it; it would distract her from everything she'd been dealing with. At least, that was what she was hoping for. She bumped into a few people by accident and apologized, but they didn't seem to entirely mind. At least that made things easier for her. She wouldn't want to make enemies on her first day on campus. Breathing out a sigh, she looked ahead, spotting the different dorms up ahead and making her way towards them.
Luke chuckled quietly to her words and rubbed the back of his neck. "I know, I know," he mentioned, though he smiled slightly. "Maybe we can try moving over to that dorm next year?" he offered up, figuring that it was the least he could do for her, if that was what she really wanted. He didn't mind; he would have moved over there this year, but Calum seemed oddly uncomfortable with the idea. Maybe he could talk Calum into it, though. "Anyways, are you done unpacking? If not, I could come over and help but, if you are, we could just meet up somewhere?" he suggested, figuring that it didn't matter either way to him.
Calum watched his friend for a moment, but he didn't get involved in the conversation like he would have before. In the past, he would crack jokes, such as Tell Aspen I said this or that, but... Well, ever since he started to realize his own feelings for Aspen, it didn't feel right. He didn't want to intrude on Luke's relationship and he didn't want to make his friend uncomfortable or ruin things for the pair. They were happy together and, in his opinion, they deserved each other and that happiness. He didn't want to mess it up.

"Of course, I'm not done unpacking yet," Aspen responded to Luke actually wondering why he'd even thought she'd be done packing yet. They'd literally just arrived back on campus an hour and a half ago and she a lot of things. "So it would be wonderful of you to come and help me. You should see if Cal wants to come help too because I've hardly seen him all summer. He's not mad at me is he?" She asked Luke as she walked around her room attempting to work on unpacking still so there'd be a little bit less when Luke did arrive.
Ashton being the friendly person that he was always seemed to do really well at scoping out girls at the first of the year. Maybe it had to do with his ability to flirt as well, he didn't really know. But he was sticking to it again this year so after he'd unpacked he'd headed out in hopes of bumping into someone. And after he'd walked around for a good twenty minutes and had no luck he was about ready to give up. That's when he saw someone who looked rather lost, so he went up to her in hopes he could help. "Hey you look lost, is there something I can help you with?" He asked with a smile.
Michael kind of took his time to unpack his things this time around. Probably because as much as he wanted to go out into the world and try to scope out a girl he was still heartbroken and wasn't even sure he'd still be any good at flirting or anything along those lines. Which he also knew he needed to get over himself and just do it. But honestly, it was kind of hard.

Aria was mildly surprised when somebody approached her and her attention went to the guy. "Oh, um, maybe?" she muttered, though she wasn't entirely sure. She wasn't sure if this guy was used to the campus himself, but... It was possible that he wouldn't have offered his help unless he was sure he could help. Turning her attention back to the dorms, she sighed quietly. "It's just... I didn't know there were this many dorm buildings here." It wasn't many, really, but it was enough to confuse her and make her unsure of where she should go. "I'm not sure which one I'm supposed to be staying in."
Luke smiled slightly to her words, though he was fairly amused with her reaction. "Okay, I'll come help you," he assured her, figuring that he'd get to spend time with his girlfriend either way and he preferred that over everything else. "Mad at you? I doubt he's mad at you. I'm sure he's just... Consumed with his video games," he mentioned as he glanced over at Calum, though he wasn't really sure what was going on with Calum, either. Something was definitely off, but he wasn't sure how to approach it, and he hoped it wasn't that Calum was mad at Aspen, because he couldn't think of anything Aspen could have done to upset Calum. "I'll ask him to come along."
Calum pretended that he couldn't hear Luke talking about him. Although Luke hadn't outright mentioned him, he could feel Luke's glance on him and he didn't want to really have to talk about the situation because he'd have to come up with some stupid lie. It did bother him that Aspen thought he was mad at her, though, from Luke's words. He didn't want Aspen to think that; she'd done absolutely nothing wrong. Calum was in the wrong, completely, though, because he liked Aspen and he knew he couldn't and shouldn't.

Aspen smiled to herself and tucked her hair behind her ear as she started to rummage around her dorm just trying to sort through everything. "I'll see you in a bit then, and make sure Cal comes even if you have to drag him here yourself. I've missed him. And I'd really like to see you both," she said even though she'd spent the majority of the summer with Luke and the guys she'd felt like Calum had been ignoring her all summer and she hadn't really seen him, which was a little upsetting given how well they'd always gotten along. "I mean it, bribe him however you need to," she added truly wondering what had been up with him all summer. Because it wasn't like chatty ole' Calum to suddenly not be so chatty, and she couldn't for the life of herself think of any reason he might be upset with her. So maybe if he just came over they could end up putting everything back to normal.
Ashton sent the girl his best signature smile, "Which dorm are you looking for exactly? There's a couple different ones here and I wouldn't want to point you in the wrong direction," he told her liking this feeling. He knew where things were so he could use that to his advantage. Not in a weird creepy way of course, Ashton did have a boy's mind and like most boys he did think about sex a lot. However he thought about other things too and didn't let his urges control his every thought and action all the time. "I'm assuming this is your first year?" He asked her wanting to verify that she was indeed a freshman rather than just someone who had no sense of direction. Though he did suppose the second option was a possibility.
As Michael unpacked he found himself still trying to figure out all the shit with Aria. After all, it still literally made no sense to him whatsoever. One minute she's claiming they'll be together through it all, and the next she's just dumping him without any real reason. He really just didn't understand. There was a part of him that really wanted to reach out to her and see if maybe she's sit down with him and talk him through everything. Maybe they could figure out what happened and fix things. He was still pretty hung up on her after all. At the same time though, Michael wasn't even sure if he still trusted her after all this. She had just left him out of the blue and that'd really hurt him so did he really want to let her back into his life so she could do it again? These were the hard questions he'd found himself asking himself when he was alone usually.
