Scarlett blushed even more, unsure of how to answer the robot. "A kiss on the cheek can be a sign of affection or as a thank you," she finally answered. "I just wanted to thank you." She opened her mouth to try and explain her actions more when Brian walked in and wasted no time in pressing his lips to hers in a kiss. He pulled away after a few moments and smiled at her. "Let's go out," he stated. "You, me, wherever you want."
Scarlett pecked Brian's lips one last time before they both agreed they needed to get to work. She bit down on her bottom lip, watching as he left, wondering if she could be happy with Brian or if them spending time together would help both of them move on.
Scarlett kept busy, answering emails and doing her job, wishing it was already time for the day to end. It was Friday and that meant once she clocked out she didn't have to come back in until Tuesday since Monday was a federal holiday. The brunette definitely needed a three day weekend away from her job.
Scarlett got up from her desk and walked out of her office to Grant's. She walked into his office, a look of sheer annoyance on her face. "Why is the robot babysitting me?"
Grant looked up from his computer. He thought quickly before smiling at her. "Brian came in and told me you seemed stressed," he said. "I thought maybe if you had the robot at your side, he would be able to help with some of your tasks. If you don't want him there, you can tell him to leave."
Scarlett rolled her eyes, knowing from the way Grant was smiling he was lying through his teeth. "I know you're lying and you know how I feel about that," she stated. "But I'll take the robot's help anyways."
Grant chuckled. "Okay," he said. "Oh, here. I have some paperwork for you." He stood from his desk and carried a folder to her. "You can give it back Tuesday."
Scarlett took the paperwork and walked back into her office, putting on some music before she went straight back to work. She zoned out and focused on her work, singing along with the 90's grunge she was listening to as she read over the paperwork Grant had given her.
Scarlett managed to finish a majority of her work, happy that she only had a few emails to answer when she looked down at her clock and saw she had twenty minutes left of work. "Zack you can go now if you'd like," she stated. "I don't need anymore help today."
