Office Romance

I hope we can still roleplay this. I was really enjoying it!

Gibbs ended the call with Ellie. He put his phone back into his pocket and made his way back to the scene. "Anything yet?" He asked the two men working on this.

He saw them goofing off like normal and sighed. Some days he just wanted to bump their heads together. He knew that his niece that he'd raised since birth, that was practically like his daughter. "Alright guys let's wrap this up." Gibbs told them.

Johanna took and walked into the building glancing around. She didn't see anyone as she removed her sunglasses sighing. She looked at her Uncle's desk not seeing him there. She was with the FBI and loved her career that she had succeeded in. She went looking around to see if sh could find anyone. She knew his whole entire team. She stopped seeing Abby and giggled. "Abs!" She smiled hugging her tightly and laughing with her a little.

Ellie told Abby that she was going to go talk with Ducky before heading back to her desk. When she saw Johanna enter into Abby's labs. She just gave her a small smile and a wave before going to see Ducky. Once Ellie was done talking with Ducky over some things, she walked back to her desk and sat down. Looking at the time, Ellie just knew that Gibbs, Tony, and Tim would be back soon. She was almost dying to see and talk with Gibbs. She didn't know if it was because Gibbs was the one person to figure it out, but she felt closer to him.

Tim looked at Gibbs and nodded, wrapping up their job. When they were done, Tim looked at the time and smiled. "A perfect time to get back to the lab, do some things, and then go to that family dinner that Abby has been wanting the team to do." He said with a smirk. Tony nodded in agreement with Tim. "I like that idea...don't you boss?" He asked as the three of them walked back to the charger. "So, boss, how long is Bishop stuck with Desk work?" Tim then asked, out of curiosity.

Gibbs smiled at them, "For a while." Gibbs alerted them. "And don't question it anymore." Gibbs told them as he took and let a sigh out of his lips. They headed for the department to get some more leads going on this case.

Johanna smiled talking with Abby. She sat down listing to Abby talk about a family dinner. Johanna smiled at how excited Abby was about it.

Ellie waited patiently for Gibbs and the boys to return. Knowing that she needed and wanted to see Gibbs made her question herself. She couldn't figure out where this feeling was coming from and what was causing it.

Tony and Tim dropped the question about Ellie as they got into the Chargwr. When they got back to NCIS Headquarters, they both got out of the car and headed inside after Gibbs. Exiting the elevator onto their floor, they walked over to their area smiling at Ellie.

"Hey Tony...Tim." She said with a small smile. "Got anything for me?" She asked. When Gibbs walked up to her desk, a shy smile crept its way onto Ellie's lips. She could feel her cheeks turning a slight pink shade as she couldn't looked her boss in the eyes at the moment.

Not noticing this, Tim got up and picked up the things that neeed to be taken to Abby. Feeling that, he and Tony needed to step away for a minute, Tim motioned for Tony to follow. "Well Boss we're going to go give this evidence to Abby and see how things are going." He then walked down to Abby's lab. When they walked in, Tim noticed a young woman talking with Abby. Tony grinned his big cheesy grin. "Well look who it is...Johanna...it's so good to see you." Tony said with a smile. Tim smiled at the young girl, remembering who she was. "It's good to see you." He said.

After Tony and Tim left to go to Abby, Ellie looked to Gibbs finally. She didn't know what to say though. She took one small deep breath, then spoke. "I'm glad you're back in the office..." She almost felt foolish for saying that to him, and thought that she might upset Gibbs; however at this point she didn't care. She was already an emotional wreck so what could be worse.

Gibbs smiled at her and grinned lightly, "I am glad to be back." He chuckled. He looked around seeing the remainder of his team gone. "Ellie, would you like to go out tonight? To dinner and talk." Gibbs offered.

He was unsure of his feelings. But he was feeling something for her, and he couldn't place it. But he knew that he wasn't going to back down from this.

Johanna smiled at Tony, "Good to see you too, Tony." She hugged him patting his back. She smiled watching them give the information to Abby and saw her grin at her. She pointed a few things out and told the guys.

"When did you become some smart?" Tony questioned laughing.

"After Uncle Gibbs sent me off to college." She laughed. "I studied forensics. I am Abby's assistant." She smirked. "Uncle Gibbs talked to her and she said she could use help so she could get some time off when she needed. Here I am." She laughed lightly smiling.

Ellie was a little shocked when she heard Gibbs ask her out to dinner so that they could talk. She couldn't say a single word as she sat there for a moment, looking down at her desk. She could feel her heart pounding as she thought about it. Going to dinner with Gibbs had been something Ellie had secretly thought about, however, she never thought it would actually happen. Finally getting her internal self to calm down, Ellie looked up at Gibbs, giving him a sweet smile.

"I would love to go to dinner with you...Jethro." She said, actually calling him by his first name. "You tell me when and where." She said softly as she looked into his gorgeous rich deep blue colored eyes.

Tim just watched the young woman, intrigued by the things she had pointed out to them. He had only met Johanna once, so he didn't have much connection with her like Tony did. When she told them that she was Abby's Assistant, Tim looked up to Abby for a moment. She hadn't said anything about getting an lab assistant, let alone that lab assistant being Gibbs' niece. "Well...welcome to the team" Tim spoke with a warm smile. "I don't know if you remember me, but I'm Special Agent Timothy McGee." He gave her a warm smile as he stuck his hand out to shake hers.

Gibbs smiled at her, "Tonight? If so I'll take you to my favorite diner in town." He told her smiling. He stared down at her petite form and admired her. She was something and he couldn't shake the feeling about her.

Johanna smiled, "I remember, you. Agent McGee." She smiled at him. "Thank you. Abby wanted to surprise Tony here." She laughed and smiled at Tim. She'd always liked him but Tony and Abby both said he was with another female now.

Ellie smiled even more as he smiled to her. "Tonight, would be perfect!" She exclaimed with a sweet smile. She watched Gibbs as she followed his eyes while he stared down at her. "Sir, you've got my curious side starting up...but I'm not complaining." She smiled as she played with a small piece of her hair. Glancing at the time on her computer, Ellie wished for the rest of this day to hurry up so that she and Gibbs could go to dinner and talk.

Tim smiled at her when she said she remembered him. He just nodded and looked to Tony and Abby. "Well now that we have an idea of what were working with, we should probably let Gibbs know." He said with a smirk. "And then we could possible start to discuss an idea for the team dinner tonight." He said. He then looked to Johanna. "And Johanna, you are more than welcomed to join us tonight...a matter of fact, please join us." He said with a sincere smile.

"Curious huh?" Gibbs smiled at her as he crossed his arms over his chest. "Curious about what, Bishop?" He questioned her smiling. "The fact that I just stared you up and down? Or the fact I want to take you out? Or the fact that I have liked you since you walked through them elevator doors your first day here. So eager to begin working and making things better after Ziva had left." Gibbs smiled at her.

Johanna smiled, "Sure." She told him blushing lightly. "Yeah you better let that old man up there know what's going." She laughed lightly slipping off the stool and helping Abby some more with the work that they had in front of them to deal with. "Good seeing you again, McGee." She smiled at him before returning her full attention back to the work.

Ellie was almost floored when Gibbs laid on this on her. She had never known Gibbs to be so straightforward with his emotions and how he was feeling about something or someone...especially someone. A small blush appeared on her face as she let all of that sink in. She looked back up to him and then looked around for a moment before looking to him once more. She carefully stood from her desk and moved around on the other side of her desk. "You've got me curious about all of that." She said, placing a hand on his forearm. She looked around once more then looked at him. "I've liked you for quite some time." She whispered before kissing his cheek. "How much longer do we have till dinner...I'm really looking forward to dinner." She then stepped back from him in case someone walked in.

Tim and Tony chuckled a little at Johanna's comment, calling Gibbs an old man. "Yeah...you know how he can get when he is waiting on evidence updates...very impatient." Tony said with a chuckle. Tim looked at Tony and just shook his head. "And with that, we should get up to him and give him what he's waiting for." With that, Tim walked to the elevator then took it to their floor. When he stepped out of the elevator, he looked to see Gibbs and Ellie were talking. Walking up to them, Tim gave Gibbs a report on what Abby and Johanna found. He then sat down at his desk and continued working.

--A COUPLE OF HOURS LATER--

"Well I think that's all we can do today." Ellie said with a small smile, glancing over at the time. It was time to go home...well dinner time anyway. Making a small glance over at Gibbs, Ellie did all she could to hide her smile. She was very excited about dinner with Gibbs - just the two of them.

Tim smiled and nodded in agreement with Ellie. "Bishop's right." He said as he looked to Ellie and Gibbs. "Well I have made reservations for the whole team at one of our favorite spots...so I figured we could all start heading there." He said. "It's only 5 pm, and I have it made for 5:30 pm, so we have enough time. Boss...Ellie...you guys are going to join us right?" He then asked, realizing that he hadn't really talked to either of them much about it.

"Actually Tim, I kind of have my own thing tonight..." Ellie said, not giving any details. "But if I hadn't had anything planned already I would have totally been there." She said with a smile as she gathered up her belongings.

"Oh...okay." Tim said. "Is everything okay?" He asked.

She nodded with a sincere smile. "Yeah, I'm just working on some extra work things and have dinner with someone that I need to caught up with."

Gibbs looked at Tim and smiled, "I already had plans. Maybe next time, McGee." He told him before walking to the elevator and getting on. He couldn't believe that he'd been so forward with Ellie. Something about her made him do that a lot. He cleared his throat knowing his niece would be staying with him till she got her place ready. And he knew he'd have to be careful about Ellie coming to his house and all that. If anything became of this.

Johanna laughed walking off the elevator with Abby. She walked with her to Tim and Tony, "Where's Gibbs and Ellie?" Johanna asked staring at them. "I thought this was a team dinner?" She smiled at the two hugging Tony and smiling at Tim feeling her cheeks redden once more.

Ellie finished putting her things away then carefully stood up, still being cautious of letting the team notice her baby bump. "Well everyone have a good night." She said before following Gibbs to the elevator. She knew that they wouldn't think twice about her and Gibbs leaving at the same time, so they were still in the safe. When the both of them got in the elevator and the door closed, Ellie just looked at Gibbs and smiled. "Well I don't think they suspect anything." She smirked as she put a hand on her expanding baby bump, feeling a little fate fluttering feelings. "So, are we going to drive together or separate?"

Tim looked to Ellie and Gibbs. "See you guys later then." He said with a slightly curious look on his face. He looked to Johanna and nodded. "It was a team dinner, but if they can't make it...that's okay. This is the first time they have ever missed a team dinner,,,but everyone is entailed to missing a team dinner here and there." He said with a small smile. He then looked down at his phone and sighed. Delilah wasn't going to be able to make it...again. "And well there's another one off our list. Delilah just text me...she can't make it." He sighed, feeling like this has been a constant thing lately. "Well looks like it's just us..." He said looking to Tony, Abby, and Johanna. "But that's okay." He reassured them with a smirk.

Gibbs smiled at her, "I don't think they do either." Gibbs saw the doors open up. "We should do it separate. If they see one of our cars here. It could give them a reason to question." Gibbs told her smiling. He walked with her to her car and opened the door smiling at her. "Just follow me." He told her smiling.

Johanna noticed Tim's frown before smirking. She giggled, "Guess it can be." She smiled at the three of them. She took and walked with them. "I need a ride. Tony can I ride with you?" She asked Tony. "I had the cab drop me off of here, and Gibbs was my ride." She laughed forgetting.

"Timmy-boy here can take you. I rode with Abby." Tony grinned leaving quickly with Abby. "See you two there." They said as the doors shut.

Johanna looked at Tim, "What the hell was that?" She asked Tim laughing lightly as they got on the elevator. "If you don't care about me riding with you. Or I can get a cab." She smiled at him.

Ellie walked with Gibbs to her car and couldn't help but smile. She nodded to him before hitting the key-remote to unlock her car. "Of course." She whispered with a sweet smile. "I'll follow...you lead." She smirked before putting her seatbelt on. She then watched Gibbs as he headed towards his car. She could feel her heart still racing as she watched his every step. She was really excited about this and couldn't believe that this was still happening. She then started her car, and waited to start to follow Gibbs to the dinner place of his choosing.

Tim smiled at Johanna and shook his head. "Who knows...you know how Tony is." He chuckled. "Getting a cab is totally unnecessary. You can ride with me...I'm absolutely fine with that." He said with a sincere smile. He double-checked his pockets, making sure he had everything that he needed before looking to the rest of the team. "Alright, Johanna and I will see you two at the restaurant then." He smirked as he started to walk to the elevator with her. "So, Johanna, where are you staying since you're back in D.C.?" He asked, making small talk between the two of them as he waited to get on the elevator.

Gibbs got in his car and started it up. He backed out and headed for the diner. He saw Ellie following close as he parked seeing her park right beside of him. Smiling he took and got out of the car and walked over helping her out, "Shall we?" He smiled offering his arm.

Once she accepted he walked inside and helped her into the booth sitting in front of her. He smiled at her, "Order whatever you want, it's on me." Gibbs smiled at her as he ordered his usual burger and fries with coffee.

Johanna smiled at Tim, "With Gibbs. Till my furniture arrives from California." She smiled at him. "Then i'll be living near Tony. In his building." She smiled. "That boy can get hookups fast, he got my apartment at a steal." She laughed lightly looking at Tim.

Ellie smiled at Gibbs as she browsed the menu, trying to figure out what she wanted to eat. She nodded when he told her to get whatever she wanted. "Thank you, Sir." She said as she wondered if she needed to call him Gibbs, Sir, or if she could even think about calling him Jethro. She finally settled on a Chicken Club Sandwich and Fries with a Strawberry Milkshake. After the waitress came by to take their orders, Ellie looked back to Gibbs once more. "So..you said you wanted to talk." She couldn't help but blush as she looked to him.

Tim nodded. "Well that's nice. Of course there would be no doubt that Gibbs wouldn't let you stay with him." He smirked, walking with her to his car. When he unlocked the doors, Tim walked Johanna to the passenger's side, opening the door for her. "Madam your carriage awaits you." HE said, cracking a smile. "Yeah...Tony has been known to be pretty good at that." He chuckled at her comment before closing her door once she was in. Not wasting anytime, he walked around to the driver's side and got in.

Gibbs smiled nodding his head, "That I do." He told her. "Look, earlier. I meant what I said. Since day one I have had a pull towards you. I have no idea why, but I have. Also I think you moving in with me is good, you'll need help with the baby. I want to be there for you, Ellie." Gibbs told her truthfully.

Johanna giggled, "You have been around Tony way too long." She smiled buckling up. "So Tony mentioned you have a girlfriend now. Do I get to meet her at the dinner?" She questioned Tim feeling the anger rising up in her for some reason as she bit her lip and smiled.

Ellie literally held back her tears as she looked to Gibbs as he spoke. "Jethro I don't think you know how much this means to me." She said, deciding that she was going to call him by his first name outside of work, especially if she was moving in with him. "I have had his feeling for you ever since I started but I knew I couldn't tell you:...but now things have obviously changed." She spoke with a soft voice. She couldn't help but think about Rule #12. She figured if things went further and got deeper then she would bring up the Rule #12 concern...not that she found it to be a concern. "Gibbs what about Johanna...if I move in with you...does that change anything of this?"

Tim nodded. "I do have a girlfriend, her name is Delilah. Unfortunately you will not get the chance to meet her tonight. Something came up so she can't join us." He explained with a soft sigh. "However I am sure you'll meet her soon." He gave a reassuring smile to her. "She's a really a sweet person...I think you and her will get along really well." He smirked. He then looked at his phone for a moment seeing if Delilah text him back.

Gibbs smiled at her, "I am glad to hear that." He smiled taking her hand into his and kissing it lightly. He felt such a pull towards her he couldn't explain it.

Johanna frowned, "I see." She smiled lightly at him before growing quiet. She took and looked at her phone scrolling through random things.
