[I figured the girls could be best friends/cousins?]

Alexis

I rolled out of bed and sighed as my alarm went off. It was my first day at a new high school and I wasn't prepared. It wouldn't be so bad if it wasn't the middle of the school year and I wasn't full of anxiety but here I was, panicking about what to wear the first day of school, well for me at least.

I showered and then decided on a pair of black skinny jeans, a grey tank top and a black cardigan to go over that. I pulled on my black VANs and started doing my hair and makeup. I sighed as I looked in the mirror. "Breathe, it'll be okay." I told myself, even though I couldn't believe it.

[Sure we can have them be cousins!]

Athena

I sighed as i heard my mom yell for me about getting up for school. I had been awake for the last five minutes, but i did not want to go to that new school. At least i would have Alexis there to talk to. Our parents decided to move closer to one another so that was a the best part of all of this. I got out of bed, beginning to look for something to wear. I wanted to look decent for today. A part of me wanting to throw on some sweatpants and make my way through the day. I didn't want to be know as the sweatpants girl on my first day though. I finally found something and got dressed before I want downstairs. "Bye mom!" I called as i made my way out the door. I smiled as i walked towards Alexis's house. A good thing about this town was that i could actually walk places.

I knocked on my cousin's front door and smiled as she opened it, "Hey you ready?" I asked her. I always gave the outwards appearance that I was confident, but on the inside i was freaking out about our first day. "Let's get going so that we aren't late." I said as I walked off the porch with her. I walked down the street with her, "You think there will be any hot guys at this school? Or do you think they will be lame." I asked, laughing softly.

Ryan

I walked into the school and made my way to my locker. I had heard rumors that there was some new girls that were coming to school today. It was all the Chris had been talking about lately. I smirked when i seen Ricky come up to me, "Hey, so have you seen the new girls yet?" I asked. It wasn't often that we had new students come here. It was a good thing though. I looked over as Chris moved over to us, my eyes watching as people moved through the hallway. I noticed as two girls i had never seen before walked in, "Well I found them." I said, interrupting Chris.

Chris looked over at them, "Oh sweet they are hot." He said, as he shoved Ricky playfully. "They are fucking preppy bitches either. This is awesome." He said, laughing.

Alexis

"I hope there is and I hope they're not." I answered my cousin as we started heading for school. I spaced out during the drive and before I knew it, we were walking into the school.

Apparently it was a small town and people knew when there were new students cause as soon as Athena and I walked in, people were staring at us and whispering. I wrapped my arms around my body, keeping my head down as I followed Athena to the main office so we could get our schedules. I wasn't as outgoing as my cousin, I was quite the opposite, actually. "People are staring.." I said to her.

I looked up as Ryan said he spotted the new girls. Chris was right, they were hot and definitely not preppy. "They must be related...they look it." I said, as the two girls passed by us. I looked at Chris and Ryan. "I'm glad they're not preppy or into sports and shit." I said, opening my locker finally.

"Just because they dress like us on the outside doesn't mean they're not into sports or something." Devin said, coming up to join us. "Dev's right but I have a feeling they're not." Chris said.

Athena

I turned to Alexis, "Everything is going to be fine. They are just curious." I said, laughing softly. I got my class list then looked over Alexis's as well. "Well looks like we go our separate ways first then i will see you afterwards." I said as i walked out of the office with her. I handed her her schedule then went to my locker, opening it. I threw my stuff in it, before i grabbed a notebook for my first class. "You think you will be okay?" I asked, knowing that my cousin was paranoid about being around new people. I smiled at her, "I will talk to you later." I said walking away from her once i got to my class. I handed my paper to the teacher then sat down in an empty desk. I was surprised as a man with dark hair sat near me, "Hey i'm Chris." He said, introducing himself. "This is Ricky." He said, pointing to his smaller friend. I gave them a small wave, "I'm Athena." I said, looked around the room for a moment, "So anything fun to do around this place?" I asked them. I could tell from the sly grin on Chris's face that i asked the right question.

Ryan

I nodded as i listened to the guys, watching as the girls went to their lockers. "Well i'm going to class." I said, walking away with Devin. I walked in, seeing the new girl. Instantly Devin introduced himself. I sat down with them and smiled, "I'm Ryan."I said. I could tell she was kind of nervous and it was cute. "Don't worry about all these people. They will be nosy for like the first three day and then they go back to their boring repetitive lives." I said, chuckling. I pulled out my books, "What's your name?" I asked her. I was glad that Devin as sat with her so we could meet her. It was probably best that we met her before anyone else. Half of this school was assholes.

Alexis

I nodded, watching my cousin walk off. I threw my stuff in my locker and grabbed a notebook and shut my locker. I went to my first class and the teacher let me take a seat in the back so I picked the first empty one I saw. Two boys walked in and I had remembered them staring at me in the hallway.

They introduced themselves as Devin and Ryan. "Alexis." I said, when Ryan asked me my name. I guess he could see that I was nervous so he reassured me that people would be curious for about three days then go back to their boring lives. I nodded, hoping he was right. "The other girl you were with, are you two related?" Devin asked me. "She's my cousin." I said.

Ricky

I smiled as I watched Chris introduce us to Athena. That was such a pretty name for a beautiful girl, of course, I wouldn't admit that yet. "There's some stuff to do, depending on what you're into." I answered her question before Chris could.

The bell rang a moment later for us to take our seats as our teacher walked in.

Athena

I nodded when Ricky, mentioned some stuff to do. "What exactly do i have to like to have fun around here?" I asked, smiling at little. He was pretty cute so why not have fun with him. I looked up as the teacher started talking and relaxed in my seat. I figured i should at least pay attention for my first day. It felt like the class went on forever and I had so long to go this year. Once the bell ran i began to gather my things and got to my feet. I wanted to find Alexis and see how she was. I was hoping that she had met someone as nice as Ricky and Chris in her class. I walked out of the class, feeling Chris fall into step with me. "So are you friends with that other girl?" He asked. I looked at him, then looked at Ricky on the other side of me, "She's my cousin, Alexis." I explained as we walked. I smiled when i seen Alexis. She was ironically talking with some guys that apparently Ricky and Chris are friends with.

I smiled at her words, "You two look very similar." I said. I turned my attention back to the teacher, then once the class was over I walked out with Alexis and Devin, "What class do you have next?" I asked her as we walked. I looked up, seeing her cousin with Chris and Ricky, "Well there is no hope for her now, you will have to cut her loose." I teased her as we approached the guys. "I see you guys made a friend as well." I said, smirking. Chris smiled at the girls, "You two should stick with us. Everyone else in this school is fucking lame." He assured them, grinning.

Alexis

I smiled a little at Ryan's comment. I waved at my cousin before looking at my schedule. "I think...Psychology." I said. "Oh, which teacher?" The taller boy that was with my cousin asked. "Wilson." I said. "I have Psychology with Wilson next period too." He said. I smiled and looked at Ryan and Devin. "Don't worry, Chris is a big teddy bear, he just tries to come off all hard." Devin said, which made me giggle and Chris flipped him off but he had a smirk on his face.

Ricky

Once class was over, Chris and I walked out with Athena. She told us the other girl she was with, that we now saw with Ryan and Devin, was her cousin Alexis and it seemed Alexis and Chris had their next class together. I looked at Athena. "What's your next class?" I asked her.

Ryan

I shook my head, "Chris will make sure you two get there." I said to them. "I guess we will see you at lunch." I said to them. I knew that Chris would probably convince them to hang out with us or something crazy. I looked at them, "I have to get to class." I said, "It was nice meeting you." I said, looking at Alexis before I headed to class.

Athena

I looked at my classes, "I have Biology." I said. I was glad that Alexis had someone she now knew in her next class. So far this day was turning out great. I smiled when Ricky said he had the same class, "Well lead the way." I told him, giving Alexis a small wave before I walked off with Ricky. Chris looked at Alexis, "Alright let's go." He said, leading her. "So what was your old town like?" He asked her.

Alexis

"It was pretty boring. I'm from South Carolina and my family decided to move closer to Athena's. Our moms are sisters and our grandma, their mom, has been in and out of the hospital lately so my parents thought it was best we move closer just in case anything happens." I explained as I walked to class with Chris.

Ricky

"So have you always lived here?" I asked. That was a stupid question, if she did, I'm sure I would have spotted her; or maybe not...I did spend a lot of my days hanging with the guys or at the skate park. When we got to the class, I opened the door for her, letting her go in first. I followed behind her, glad we were two of the first people to enter the room. "You can sit by me if you want." I said, going to take my seat.

Athena

I smiled as i walked with him, "I'm actually from a few towns over. I grew up there, but my parents decided to move closer to my grandma and Alexis's parents thought it would be good to leave here too." I explained. I nodded when he talked about what all he did. "That sounds like fun." I said as i walked into the class. I sat down next to him at my desk. I was glad i was making friends.

Ryan

I sat in my class thinking about Alexis. She seemed really nice and part of me really hoped that Chris would invite her to hang out with us after class.

Chris smiled at her when she told him why she moved here, "Well i'm glad you moved here. You and your cousin should hang out with us after school." He suggested. "I think the other guys really like you." He told her.

Alexis

"Okay, yeah, I'm sure Athena would be okay with that." I said as we got to the classroom and Chris opened the door for me. I thanked him quietly before walking in. I immediately followed Chris, sitting down beside him. "What is there to do in this town?" I asked him.

Ricky

"Wow, well I'm glad you and your cousin started going here." I said, looking at you. You were so beautiful. "We don't get many new people here and when we do, they usually turn out to be preppy cheerleaders or something of the sort." I chuckled, watching as the class started filling up.

Athena

I smiled at him, "No danger there. I hate people like that." I said as i leaned against my chair. I looked up as the teacher started. Once class was over i walked out with Ricky. I was so ready for lunch.

Chris looked at her, "We mostly hang out and go to the skate park." He explained. He looked up as the teacher started. Once the class was over he walked out with Alexis. "I guess we should go find everyone." He said.

I walked out of my class, smiling when i seen Alexis and Chris walking toward Devin and I.

Alexis

Soon, class was over and I was walking out with Chris. We made it back to our lockers where we met up with Athena, Ricky, Devin and Ryan. I smiled when I saw my cousin and smiled once more when Ryan gave me a perfectly white smile. "Hey, ready for lunch?" Devin asked me. I wasn't hungry but I nodded anyways.

Ricky

I walked with Athena back to our lockers where we met her cousin and my friends. The girls went to putting their books and things in their lockers, as did my friends and I. "So, we don't eat in the lunch room with everyone else." I told the girls. "You don't?" Alexis asked.

I shook my head, "Ryan and I smoke so we usually go out to the courtyard and eat by the bleachers, that way we can smoke." I said. "Such rebels." She said, poking Ryan in the arm. I could see his cheeks getting red from blushing and I had to stifle my laughter.
