Brian grinned to himself as he tipped his head back, emptying the beer he had been nursing for the past 45 minutes. He and the rest of the guys were taking a small break in their never ending writing session, though when he rose to get another beer he realizes they were out. Turning to Matt, he nodded towards his car. "Hey, I'm gonna go into town and make a beer run. Want me to grab anything else?" He questioned.

They had rented a cabin so far from civilization one might think it was still the stone age. Luckily, there was a small Georgia town with a population of less than 3000 a few miles down the road, so they didn't have to go too far when they ran out of food, or in the case... beer.
Arielle's eyes scanned the barren store, bored from the lack of business. They already lived in a small town and that was bad enough, but being that it was summer most families Traveled out of town and that left her small town an empty.

Realizing for the millionth time she probably wasn't going to get any business she pulled out her phone to call the owner about the possibility of closing early. Maybe shed still be able to make it to the drive in with her friends if her let her close up shop.

Kara sighed gently, pulling her phone out of her pocket to check and see what time it was. It was 6:30, so she had about an hour and a half to get to the liquor store until it closed. She wasn't hosting a party or anything, just in desperate need of a bottle of wine for her fun filled night of watching Netflix on the couch. Ever since she and Jacob had split (good riddance to that cheating asswipe, but more on that later), going out for Kara was few and far between. She much preferred the company of her dog, Muffin over going out with people anyway.

"Alright, I'll be back in a few minutes. Be good." She bent down to scratch the golden doodle's ears before grabbing her keys from the little hook on the door and heading outside.

    --

Matt looked up from the book he was reading when Brian spoke, nodding when he mentioned going to get more beer. "Get more then a twenty four pack, would ya? And don't get Budweiser. That's piss water." He joked, tossing Brian some money before turning his attention back to the book. Matt and the guys decided to go on a bro vacation, to just get away from the hustle and bustle that was their lives in Huntington Beach and see what song ideas they could come up with.

To be honest, Matt was desperate to get away from his house. Now that Val had left, it was much too big for one person. His footsteps echoed, showing how empty it really was. Every day he woke up in his California king sized bed alone-- and he needed to get away from that.

Brian rolled his eyes, taking the money from his friend, and walking away, getting in his car. Lucky for them there was a small store not too far away in a small town. Heading in that direction he let his thoughts roam. Matt and Val had split and their separation had put a strain on his own with Michelle. The two had decided to split after three weeks of back and forth between Matt and Val.

He sighed, he truly did miss her but she had a point. There was no way the two of them would last when her sister and his best friend had split… and it wasn’t amicably. He’d always love her but it was time to move on. Pulling into the parking lot, his headlights landed on a small blonde, her back turned to him, in the process of locking the door.
Arielle walked around the store, making sure all the lights were off and doors were locked. After closing out the till and turning the main light off, she walked out the door and closed it, pulling out her keys to lock up for the night. After hours of no business she was glad they let her close a bit early.

Though of course, with her luck, just as she locked the door two cars pulled in behind her. Turning around with a sigh, she looked out at both cars, waiting for the occupants to get out and express their need for whatever it was they came for

Kara pulled into the liquor store parking lot just as the lights flicked off, and she pouted slightly. "God dammit," she frowned, gently banging her head against the steering wheel in frustration at her own shitty timing. The petite brunette hoped against hope that if she got out of the car and asked politely, maybe she'd be able to get her shitty wine and head back home.

She got out of the car and slung her purse over her shoulder, not even noticing the (much) nicer car that had rolled up next to her.

    --

Matt sighed softly, putting his book down. He felt bad for Brian, and guilty in a way. The death of his relationship spelled the end for Brian and Michelle, which sucked. He knew how much his friend still loved his ex wife. The nagging little voice in the back of his head kept telling him that he was a shitty person and it was all his fault, no matter how much Brian assured him that it was okay.

The singer got up and sighed, deciding to stretch his legs in the yard. The other guys were off on skype calls with their girls or doing god knows what, and Matt really couldn't be around all that happy bullshit right now. Relationships were fake to him.

Brian hit the wheel in frustration, deciding to put the car in park. With any luck hed be able to charm the small girl into letting him get some beer. It would be quick and he knew people in small towns were always much nicer than people in big cities.

He climbed out the the car, approaching the young girl along with whomever had pulled in beside him. His best guess was that they hadn't had any business so they closed early... maybe with two customers shed open back up.
Arielle sighed, mostly to herself, as her shoulders dropped. One of the people was Kara Seward, who had been one grade above her in school. The other, a man than looked to be about 30, was clearly a visitor. He had to be from that private party that rented her parents cabin for the summer.

"Before y'all tell me how much you'd really appreciate it if I opened the doors... Are y'all gonna be quick? I don't mind if it's a quick in and out." She stated, hoping she didnt sound as tired as she was. "And if you pay with cards... cause I'd have to re balance the safe otherwise and that takes a super long time."

"Yeah, I just need a bottle of Rose. I'll be like two seconds." Kara spoke, waggling her debit card. She gave Arielle a grateful smile before jogging into the store and to the aisle where her wine was located, grabbing it. The brunette was back at the front of the store in two minutes tops, gently putting her bottle on the counter. "Thanks, Arielle. I owe you...it was an emergency." Kara laughed slightly before turning her attention to the man behind her, suddenly struck by how familiar he looked. "Don't I know you from somewhere?" She asked, raising a brow.

    --

Matt decided to take a jog on the little trail that was by their cabin that they'd rented. Hopefully nature would be able to clear his mind. It always worked wonders when he was a kid. Plugging in his headphones, the singer told the guys where he was going and headed out, ready for nothing but the trees and occasional bird to be his company. Almost as soon as he started jogging, the vocalist felt a little bit better. Maybe there is something to that bullshit about mountain air.. he thought to himself.

Arielle nodded as both parties pulled out their cards and she turned, unlocking the front door and flipping the lights back on. She let the two roam the store, both heading for a specific item and heading right back to the front. Naturally, Kara was the first to return to the register.

"Don't worry about it, Mr. Nesbitt would've killed me if I turned away the only two paying customers today." She smiled, glancing up at the tall man behind Kara. He did look somewhat familiar... like she had seen him in passing.
Brian put his hands together as he thanked the girl, apparently named Arielle, before dashing into the store. This was the only place for miles and the guys would kill him if he came home empty handed. He made his way to where the beer sign was, grabbing a few different cases for the guys before he grabbed his favorite and headed back to the front.

The brunette had beat him to the counter, though he wasn't surprised by that considering she had one bottle of Rosé and he had 6 cases of beer. As she turned, he cringed slightly, hoping she wouldn't place him. The last thing they needed was for anyone to find out where they were. "Nah, I don't think so. First time I've ever been through here."

Kara handed Arielle her card before turning her attention back to Brian. "I must be going crazy, then. I could have sworn that I've seen your face around somewhere." She was just being sarcastic at this point-- Kara knew that she'd seen this man before. What was driving her nuts was that she couldn't figure out where. Once her transaction had processed, Kara gratefully took her bottle of wine. "Thanks, it was about to be a level five emergency at my house." She gave Arielle a smile before turning her attention back to Brian, tipping her bottle in his direction and smiling at him as well. "See you around, mystery man."Kara teased. She then headed back out to her car, putting the wine in the passenger seat before buckling herself in.

    --

Matt eventually made his way back to the house, a lot sooner than expected. That was what happened when he forgot to charge his phone and it died halfway through his originally planned hike. He greeted the guys and told them he was gonna take a shower when he noticed Brian wasn't back with the beer yet. "What the hell's taking him so long?" Matt asked, mostly to himself as he headed down the hallway. He closed and locked the bathroom door behind him before stripping and hopping into the shower. Hopefully it would help him get rid of the stank ass mood he was in, but it wasn't likely.

"Not a problem Kara. Enjoy your night!" Arielle smiled, waving as the older girl left the store. She watched as Kara's mystery man piled six cases of beer onto the counter, her eyebrows raising in concern. "Throwing a wild rager?" She questioned, a light tone in her voice.

    -

Brian chuckled shaking his head. As he pulled the card from his wallet he began to explain. "Not a rager. Me and a few friends rented a cabin not far from here. We're here to work though so we want to make our trips into town few and far between. "

    -

Ariel nodded, ringing in each case as he explained. Her parents mentioned something about a group of men who wanted to keep things private, she assumed they were or actors. "Not a problem... just try not to destroy the cabin. It's my home away from home. " she started, ringing out the man and following him out the door. He got back in his car and, gratefully, Arielle was able to lock up.

Kara made it back to her place, flopping down on the couch once she locked the door. She sighed, twisting the cap off of her bottle of wine. "Jesus Christ, I'm pretty sure I'm an alcoholic, Muffs." Kara spoke to her dog before taking a sip of her wine. Her mind kept traveling back to the mystery stranger that she'd met back at the liquor store. Truth be told, she wouldn't mind if she ran into him again. He was pretty damn good looking. The brunette sighed before firing up her xbox, searching for something to watch on Netflix.

    --

Matt had just thrown on a fresh pair of clothes when Johnny knocked on his bedroom door, announcing that Brian was back with booze. "Took that asspipe long enough." He joked as he opened the door, heading to the kitchen. "Christ, I thought you went back to Huntington to get it." Matt greeted his ex brother in law before grabbing one of his beers and taking a sip. "Alright, now seriously though. What took you so long?" He asked curiously, running a hand through his freshly washed hair.

Brian shrugged, placing the beer in the fridge and pulling one out for himself. "The store closed just as I got there." He explained, taking a seat on the couch. "Luckily the girl opened up for a few minutes so the other girl and I could get what we needed." He stated "I think her parents are the ones we rent the cabin from cause she seemed to know where we were staying and seemed to care about us wrecking the place."

Looking around, his mind landed back of the girl who had recognized him. She clearly didn't know the band, that much was obvious, but she had seen him before and that could be dangerous if she figured out who he was... though she seemed pretty trustworthy.

Matt nodded his head, sitting on the couch opposite Brian before sipping his beer again. "Might've been-- I remember the old guy saying something about having a daughter who worked in town, or something like that." He shrugged gently, scooting over so Zack could sit down. "I don't know about you guys, but I think we should call it quits with working today and start up tomorrow-- let's just have a chill day." The guys looked around at each other for a minute before agreeing. "You alright, Bri?" Matt asked when his brother-in-law didn't echo everyone's sentiments. "You look a million miles away."

Brian looked up at Matt, startled sightly by the direct question "Hmm?" He muttered, taking the moment to get back in his head, and to get that Kara girl out of it. "What? Yea, no I'm fine. There was another girl at the store when I got there and she recognized me... not enough to place who I was but she knew I looked familiar. Just thinking about if she really knew who I was. She seemed to know the Arielle girl running the counter, so if she figures me out i'm sure they'll be knocking down the door." He explained. "What were you guys saying?"

"I really don't think so, dude. Everyone around here is pretty chill-- we asked for privacy, so I'd hope that we get it." Matt sipped his beer again, dismissing Brian's concerns about the girl from the liquor store. "I mean, you do have a familiar face." He joked before setting his can down on the coffee table. Saving him from repeating himself again, Zack told Brian that they were calling it quits with music for the day, and that they were gonna relax. "At least someone pays attention to me here." Matt joked, giving Zack a friendly shove.

"Sounds good to me. There's a drive in not too far from here, saw it on my way into town. Wanna go over there?" Brian asked, shaking the girl from his mind. It had been a long time since he had seen a drive in and the thought of going to one again was exciting.
"Okay that is so not true! I am too bold." Arielle exclaimed as her friends dragged on her for being so quiet. To tell you the truth she was a pansy when it came to most things, especially guys, but she didn't her friend to prove her wrong again.

"Fine, if you're so bold then you wouldn't have a problem going up to any guy in here and kissing him. Full on - making out." Chrissie, her best friend who always meant well, stated, a smirk on her face.

"Sure, why not?" Matt spoke, standing up. It'd been forever since he'd been to a drive in, the last time being when he was a kid. "It could be fun-- I haven't seen a drive in in at LEAST twenty years.... How long would it take you asswipes to be ready?"

"I'm ready now. " Brian stated, looking around his friends. Most of them needed at least 15 minutes so he nodded, stating they'd head out in 20 minutes. He stood, taking his beer along with him, and walked out to the porch waiting for his friends to finish getting ready. His mind wondered if again to Kara - wondering what she was doing.
"Chrissy you can't be serious..." Arielle muttered. Chrissy shrugged, followed by a nod.The blood drained from Arielle's face as she stared at her best friend. The thought of doing anything even similar to that made her stomach flip but, not wanting to seem like a chicken, Arielle nodded. "Sure, why not."

Kara had been home for all of half an hour when she realized that she'd secluded herself long enough. She needed to go out, socialize, hell-- even flirt with dudes. The brunette had mourned her previous relationship long enough. She threw on an outfit that wasn't sweats and did her makeup, deciding to head out to the drive in. If she didn't want to watch the movie, all she had to do was hang out at the bar located on site.

    --

"Just let me go throw on something that isn't pajamas." Matt spoke, getting up from his position. He headed to his room and threw on one of his basketball jerseys, a flannel, jeans, and a pair of Jordans. The vocalist then grabbed his hat and his sunglasses. "Let me know when the rest of y'all are ready!" Matt called out.

Brian grinned as the others filed out onto the porch one by one until finally, 20 minutes later, Jimmy strolled out."Really?" Brian asked, staring at his best friend. Jimmy shrugged, glancing at the clock. "You said 20 minutes!"

Brian rolled his eyes at his friend before heading down to his car, letting the grop pile in before he started the car and pulled out of the driveway for the second time tonight. They had decided to just take the one car so as to not raise suspicion. It didnt take long for the group to reach the drive-in and Brian quickly realized that this was the place to be.
