All we've talked about so far was the children of these gods and goddesses having to track down the son of Hades who they believe will become an indefensible threat in the future.

Plot twist: Mohammed is the son of Hades. Only Hades and Aphrodite know this part of his heritage.

Tbh, aside from what I told you guys via PM, I didn't really think too much on it as I wanted us to develop it's details together. Did you have any ideas?
    @ Lover of Polka Dots
I filled her in via PM already tehe And I shall go change Hector's FC shortly. I never heard of Prince Royce until now but In Love Happy face And did you have any ideas also?
@ aubs @ Lover of Polka Dots
For the descriptions, I was thinking they could be like character history which I will put a link in the story's summary page, which would bring us to this page. And then for the actual information part on the characters page, I was gonna say we can put like six traits that best describe our characters (3 good 3 bad) or a quote that best describes them. And if you could PM me the bios/descriptions when they are completed that will be greatly appreciated! Arms

Yeah, he's sooo dreamy... And then when he sings. Whew! I just melt.

As far as character history, has everyone grown up together? Since they're all children of gods and goddesses, they obviously know each other exists but we're they friends?
I assume the story itself is set on Earth but is that where they grew or did they spend some time in the heavens first?

Do you think that they could inherit some traits from their parents? Like maybe for Avi, because he is the son of Hephaestus, he could be a hot head or something like that?

I was thinking the same thing. Like, Hermes is so cunning and witty, Hector has got to be equally quick witted and sharp tongued.

Yeah we could do that, but we could also have their powers influence their personalities as well. Like I had planned for Avery's moods to be unpredictable like the sea and for Mohammed to be more mellow and kinda stay in the background untill a certain point in the story where Hades "prophecy " starts to come true.

Ooo, I like that. Great idea. So do you have any plans on what the setting and stuff is going to be? And the time period? Is it going to be modern or more in the past?

Forgot to say that yes they were born on earth, (they stayed with their human parents until their teen years where their powers manifested and then they discovered their true linage) but I was thinking that in our own chapters we could include back flashes saying how life was like before hand. That way we don't do a whole big build up to them heading to purgatory. (As I personally don't like to wait too long for the big quest when it comes to reading adventure type stories tehe ) Maybe we can start the story on their last day of training before they head into purgatory. Some other god, maybe Ares? As he is second "baddest " to Hades xD can open the gates of purgatory
    @ aubs
For the setting I was thinking gloomy because majority of it will be spent with them actually in purgatory and I'd prefer for it to be modern, as that's the only thing I've written x) but I'm open for it to be different as well.
@ aubs @ Lover of Polka Dots
Are you two comfortable in writing in third person? Cause I only know how to write in it xD Also, did you guys have any different ideas for setting? Or time period etc..?

Maybe for the first few chapters, the characters can reflect on how long they've been training (because I assume it's been a while) and what they went through. That can probably be a few chapters, maybe one chapter for each of us? And then we can get onto them going to purgatory.

I am totally fine with writing in third person. Is each character going to have a chapter?

Third person, limited to that specific character, I assume. Rather than third person omniscient? I like the idea of each character getting their own chapter, starting with some of their training and how their goal of capturing Hades' spawn might resonate differently with each person.

And I do like the modern setting. Considering purgatory might not exactly reflect modern settings, it still might make it easier or easier to read for our audience.

Hmm. I like the idea of them reflecting on their training and all they went through and I like the idea of each character getting their own chapter. But, if we do that first, it would be like six chapters before we get to the purgatory stuff. So how about we each do one chapter about life beforehand their training etc but we write for the opposing two powers in one chapter. So for example the chapter would be called Light and Dark. The first half of the chapter would focus on Bryan's POV the second half of the chapter would focus on Eva's and we continue that pattern for the first three chapters, kinda like a prologue if you wil. And then start on chapter four which would have a character's name as the title, example Mohammed and focus on that character individually. Then from there continue the format with the story being told from different point of views. (Hopefully this has made sense and doesn't seem like a bunch of rambling xD )

    @ Lover of Polka Dots
And exactly, that's why I wanted to make it modern, as I feel it's more relatable. Did you guys have any ideas about the length per chapter?

I like the idea for the first three chapters. I think in each chapter, all the characters could say something different about what they want, bringing some background information to the reader. Like maybe Avi could say something about who wants them to do this and someone else could reflect on why or something.

For the length, not too long like 5,000 words or anything because I feel like it would become boring for readers, especially if they are reading on the go. And besides, I've never written a chapter as long as that. XD We can see how long they are, and if we need to add something, then we can.

Yeah, for that bit whoever is writing their part first, send it to the other author (via pm) so they can add their piece and then the last writer posts it.

And I agree on the writing length, about people getting bored if it's too long but I don't think I'll have that issue as my writing experience is mostly role plays, and I've never gone pass the 700s in word count xD How about whoever writes the first solo chapter (chapter four) we try to match their length? Which leads me to my next question. What should the posting order be? xD

I also added in 'Timeline' for if we wanted to put in scheduled updates.

I don't really care about the posting order. You can write first if you want; it doesn't matter to me.
