    (I hope this is okay)
Pheobe was driving through Forest Hills, Queens. She had music blaring out her car stereo to keep herself awake, she had never meant to have a late night last night but it had been her last night with her sister and she wanted to enjoy it as much as she could. Considering she wasn't sure when she would see her again. Since the loss of their parents Phoebe and Fay had moved from California all the way down to New York. Faye had found a job in New York City, an office job, whereas Phoebe had been given the option to stay with May in Forest Hills.

May and Ben had been close friends with her and Faye's parents and when the accident happened May had been the first one to fly over and be with the girls, she had told them that she would do anything she possibly do to help them. May had been in a similar situation when Ben had been killed in cold blood.

The sisters came to the agreement that they had to get out of California. Now here they were. Faye in New York City working and Phoebe on her way to start at a new school and try fit in again.

Minutes passed and the brunette pulled into the driveway of May's house, taking a deep breathe she got out of her car checking her phone for any messages, hoping that there would be one from Faye. There wasn't, she was probably busy. Walking around to the book she grabbed out her suitcase and made her way to the door. She was a few feet from the door when it burst open and May Parker stood before her a wide smile spread across her face.

"Phoebe!" she cried hurrying over to her and wrapping her arms around her in a tight hug.

"Hey May," she smiled hugging the woman back just as tightly.

"Come in, come in," she gushed ushering her into the building a giggle left her lips as she followed her into the building. "PETER!" May kicked the door closed with her foot. "Here let me take your bag, I will put it in your room... PETER GET DOWN HERE!" Phoebe laughed as she handed over her bag and followed May further into the house.
Steve walked into the home base of S.H.I.E.L.D, everything had been quiet, there had been no real disturbances so for the most of the time he had been keeping to himself and coming into S.H.I.E.L.D as often as he could to find out if there was anything more he needed to know about. So far there hadn't been anything new.

As he walked into the building he was greeted by the staff, he also didn't miss the looks he got from several of the female staff members, he averted his eyes and walked deeper into the building. He scanned the building when he spied someone he hadn't seen before. She was seated at a desk, her mousey brown hair was pulled back into a neat pony tail and she looked engaged on her work.

Walking over he decided to introduce himself.

"Hello there, I haven't seen you around here, I'm Steve Rogers," he shot her a smile as she looked away from her computer screen, she had bright blue eyes and a sweet smile.

(sorry I wasn't sure where to start with Steve)

Peter grumbled under his breathe when he heard his name being called from downstairs, he knew that Phoebe was coming to stay for a while. May had roped him into building some furniture for the spare bedroom, as May wanted to make the room as homely as possible. He understood why, he knew what happened to Mr and Mrs Allan. So he did what Aunt May asked of him, or rather what she ordered him to do in the days leading up to today.

But he was busy researching, he was trying to find any crime that he could do something about. Things had quietened down lately, which was good in a way. He was able to actually finish his homework and it meant that people weren’t being hurt by someone else, turning off his laptop he drug himself out of his bedroom and down the stairs. “No, need to yell. I can always hear you, Aunt May.” A cheeky grin appeared on his face, his dark orbs moved around the room until his eyes landed on Phoebe.

It had been a few years since he last saw her and she had certainly grown up, her wavy hair was longer now and although her stunning smile hadn’t changed. The playful spark in her pretty blue eyes wasn’t really there anymore, which he could understand but it was something he noticed about her nearly straight away.

“Hey Phoebe… how was the drive here?” Could he be anymore awkward? Peter wanted to kick himself right now, he knew her so well. So why was he suddenly feeling nervous now that she was standing there in front of him? If he could, he’d dig himself a hole and hide in it.
All Faye wanted to do was bury herself in work, which she was succeeding in. She hated knowing that once she went home to her new apartment in New York City, her little sister wouldn’t be there waiting for her. Checking the time on her watch, she realised Phoebe would have arrived in Queens and was probably at May’s. Which only hurt her heart more, she appreciated what May was doing and couldn’t thank the woman enough.

But she still missed her sister, they were still dealing with losing their parents in an accident that shouldn’t have happened. Faye knew that Phoebe would be better living with May for the time being, as Faye was busy with work and it was safer for Phoebe to be in Queens. She still didn’t know who Faye worked for and it would stay that way for as long as Faye could manage.

She was suddenly brought out of her own little world by a voice, looking away from her work her eyes landed on a man who she had heard all about. She hadn’t been working in the New York SHIELD base for long, but she had overheard other female agents talking about this very man and she would only admit to herself that he was everything she had heard and more.

“Hi, Faye Allan. Is it that obvious that I’m the new girl?” She looked at him with a small smile on her face, she could now see why he was talked about so often. He was extremely handsome, but Faye could tell already that there was more to him then his appearance and one was how nice he seemed to be.

Faye had been worked in a smaller SHIELD camp in California for the past two years, but she was able to transfer when her parents died. She couldn’t stand to be in California any longer, so she decided to move her and Phoebe away from their home and friends. She had promised her sister that the move would be good for them, she hoped she could keep that promise as Phoebe had gone through too much.

Steve watched the woman as she spoke, she had a beautiful voice. He noticed the way her cheeks reddened when she asked if she was obvious that she was the new girl. The truth was it wasn't obvious she looked right at home at her desk tapping away on the computer in front of her, the only reason he assumed she was new was because he had been coming in and out of this establishment for years and today was the first day he had ever seen her before.

"Well it is a pleasure to meet you Miss Allan. No it isn't obvious at all you look right at home at your desk. It is simply because I have been in and out of this building more than I care to admit and today is the first day I have seen you before. Are you enjoying your first day?" Steve was genuinely interested in finding out more about the new Faye Allan he took a seat in front of her desk and waiting for her answer.

As his blue eyes moved over her face he couldn't deny that she was beautiful in a classic kind of way. She had a beautiful smile and button nose and her eyes, her eyes were the main thing that caught his attention, they were bright but he also noticed that they held no spark. Almost as if this woman had lost something important in her life. He wanted to know what but he also knew that he would be pushing it considering the two had only just met.
Phoebe turned her body at the sound of Peter's voice a wide smile spreading across her face when she saw her friend, it had been a few years and he had definitely grown into the beginnings of a man, his once spindly body had filled out and there was most certainly more definition in his face. His eyes were still bright playful and his smile was still cheeky. The two things she remembers most about him. As well as his personality.

"Peter Parker!" she exclaimed before running over and giving him a hug, it had honestly been too long, she was excited to see him again and she could feel her emotions swirling, she had had a crush on Peter since they were ten years old, she had never said anything to him, she hadn't even told her parents. The only person she had told was Faye. Now seeing him there fifteen and fine she felt like she was ten all over again and her little crush was most certainly still there.

"Oh..." she quickly let go of him, "My drive was okay... I mean I had to have my music blasting because I am so tired. I stayed up until three with Faye last night just talking and being stupid," that was the truth her and her sister had stayed up doing nothing important but they had played games of never have I ever, they talked about their crushes and she most certainly brought up Peter and how it was going to be now that she was going to be living with him. She looked at Peter and she noticed he had become rather nervous which was exactly what she was feeling as well but she was trying hard to hide it. Hence why she was babbling a little more than usual. "How has everything been with you? It has been so long? How is school? I want to know everything... well not like everything but everything you want to tell me...." quickly she pressed her lips together and stepped away from him her cheeks were on fire and she wanted the ground to open up and swallow her whole.

Peter chuckled softly as he wrapped his arms around her body, but for the first time ever he didn’t hug her as tightly as he normally would have. It was obvious she had blossomed into a woman, just the thought caused his face to warm up with a flush.

“Oh yeah? You still listening to all those awful pop songs, the ones that make my ears bleed?” He teased her which hadn’t seemed to change, “Aunt May told me that Faye was offered a great job in New York City? That’s pretty cool,” He grinned knowing how much it would hurt for the sisters to be apart, they had always been super close.

“School is school, nothing much to report there. It’s pretty boring but there are a few teachers that you’ll like,” He told her as he stepped over to the living room and sat down on the couch, he patted the spot on the couch beside him. “Everything else hasn’t been too exciting,” He shrugged his shoulders, even if he was bursting to tell her what had happened to him but he sadly couldn’t.

She wouldn’t believe him anyway. “Tell me what you’ve gotten up to,” He asked keeping all subjects away from her parents, if she wanted to talk to him about her parents then he would wait until she was ready. The nerves were still racking his body, this always happened when she was around. He knew why, he wouldn’t tell anyone but he had the biggest crush on Phoebe. Always had and apparently always will, because seeing her now only made the butterflies erupt inside his stomach.
Faye was glad she didn’t seem like the typical girl new at work, she looked at him as she thought about her answer. “My first day has been pretty good so far, everyone is lovely but having my little sister here would have made it better.” She oddly felt rather comfortable about this man who she just met, she wasn’t going to tell him everything. She didn’t want his pity or for him to treat him differently, because she had lost her parents.

“So, have you found any fun things to do in the city? Any wonderful places to eat or grab a coffee?” She asked as she did already know what occurred with Steve, how he was found and thawed out into a completely different century. This was Faye’s first time in New York City, she hadn’t explored the city yet and she would have explored with Phoebe but they didn’t get time.

Suddenly her work was forgotten about, she turned in her chair so she was facing Steve more. Faye knew that Steve worked out of the SHIELD base in New York City, but she still didn’t think she’d met him this easily. Not that it was something she thought about, she couldn’t really care less about if she met the Avengers or not. She wasn’t there for them, she was there to protect innocent people and keep the world safe.

"Oh your sister?" he noticed the way she deflated a little, naturally Steve assumed that her sister didn't live with her. "I take it she doesn't live with you? Sorry that is probably a privet matter, I shouldn't be prying into it." he quickly corrected himself clearing his throat awkwardly. He wasn't making a very good first impression that was for sure.

"Oh I know a great place that sells... Uh... Shawarma, Tony Stark took us all there after... uh..." he stammered should he say that he and the Avengers had all gone there after the world was nearly destroyed by Loki. Not that it hadn't been on the news and in the papers. "But if you get a break we could try and find somewhere else that sells other food... or coffee? If you want that is?"

Steve watched the female waiting for her answer hoping that she would like to grab coffee or a bite to eat with him. He would like to learn a little more about Faye, she seemed like a great girl. "If it is your first time in the Big Apple we could always check out the nightlife... that is as long as you don't have any other plans," it had been a while since Steve had asked a girl out and he wasn't sure if he was doing it right, for today's standards that is.
"You better believe it," she giggled when he mentioned her taste in music, she noticed the slight tinge in his cheeks. Was he nervous? she thought to herself. She wondered what he would have to be nervous about. "And we all know Peter that secretly you like all those awful pop songs." she teased playfully. "Yeah Faye got an office job in New York, she is pretty excited about it. "She's probably just excited that she is living close to the action with all the Avengers, lucky woman,"

"I am sure there are," she walked over and took a seat next Peter on the couch as her mind began to wander to the new school that she would be attending, she was both excited and nervous.

"Honestly, nothing much, getting organised for the move from Cali and coming to terms with everything that has happened in the last few months. Spending as much time with Faye as I can... what about yourself? how is Ned going, you and him still best buds?"

"Okay so everything is in your room," Aunt May appeared in the doorway of the lounge room her eyes scanning between the two of them, "So I was thinking we could order in takeout for tea? How do you guys feel about Pizza?"

"Sounds great May," Phoebe smiled. She was honestly down for anything she had never been a picky eater.

Peter scoffed as he shook his head, “I have no idea what you’re talking about. I will never ever, enjoy pop songs. Which is sound the same, it’s horrible.” He looked at her when she mentioned the Avengers, he wanted to blurt out his biggest secret because he trusted Phoebe. He knew she wouldn’t tell anyone, but if she did know then it could be the reason she was put into danger and that was the last thing he wanted.

“You’re a fan of the Avengers? New York is a pretty huge city, she’d have to be lucky to even see any of them.” He could have been considered part of the Avengers, well he had helped them out once but Tony Stark had come to his home to meet him. That should have meant something, or at least Peter thought.

Peter nodded his head lightly when she told him what she had been up to, he moved his hand over to cover hers. He gave her hand a gentle reassuring squeeze, “Well this move will be totally worth it. I mean you get to see my face every single day,” A cheeky grin appeared on his face as he hoped to lighten Phoebe’s mood, he didn’t want to upset her.

“We are, he’s the best… you’re the best too.” He quickly added on the last part of his sentence, she truly was. Peter’s hand instantly left hers when he heard Aunt May’s voice, he prayed that she hadn’t seen anything. Not that holding hands was bad, and they hadn’t been holding hands. He was just comforting her.

“As long as you don’t force me to eat the veggie pizza,” Peter made a face as his Aunt May had tricked him into eating a slice of the vegetarian pizza, although he would eat most things and the pizza hadn’t been horrible. He would much rather have a meat lovers pizza, which was his favourite.
“No, it’s fine. She used to live with me, but I didn’t want her around this.” Faye using her index finger to let Steve know that she meant SHIELD, she hadn’t exactly told Phoebe what her job was. “She’s in Queens now, living with a close family friend.” She told him as much as she was comfortable with, she hadn’t told many people what happened to her parents.

She still struggled to think about it, because she worked for SHIELD and protected people every day. And yet she still couldn’t protect her family, which is why she hadn’t told Phoebe about her job.

“After Loki tried to destroy the world?” Faye looked at Steve as she knew all about what happened in the city, “It sounds great though. Any place that you like, I’m sure I’ll like too.” How had she managed this? Not only was Captain America talking to her, but was he asking her out on a date?

Faye wasn’t completely sure if he was or if he was just being nice to her, either way it was still occurring when apparently this wasn’t like Steve. From what she overheard from other female agents, Steve hadn’t given any of them much attention let alone ask them out.

“My sister is in Queens, I’m new here so I don’t have friends. I don’t have any plans, Steve.” She smiled as she looked at him, it was adorable that he clearly didn’t ask many girls out. She had heard stories of how Steve had been before he was injected with the serum, that he hadn’t been good with women. He didn’t seem to have gotten any better, which Faye found very cute.

“I do have a break coming up in a few minutes,” Faye put the hint out there, which she hoped Steve would catch. All Faye wanted to do was call Phoebe and tell her all about Steve, but she couldn’t. She couldn’t tell her sister exactly who had asked her out, that would have to stay a secret but she still wanted to gush all about him to her sister.

Steve almost breathed a sigh of relief when she mentioned Loki on her own, he couldn't help but smile at her. She was making this so much easier for him considering she had just told him when she was free.

"Sounds perfect. I have to check on something quickly and then I will be back. Then we can go," he looked at the female shooting her a smile before rising to his feet. He walked away heading toward the man he was after, he needed to see if any new missions had arisen however he couldn't stop his mind from wandering back to the brunette sitting behind the desk.

"Mister Rogers?" it was Maria who was walking toward him.

    "Agent Hill,"

"What are you doing here?" she asked as she came to a stop in front of him.

"Checking to make sure the streets are safe from any danger."

"Nothing has risen, Steve go home. Please, you will be the first to know if anything happens." Maria stated a smile spreading across her face. Steve nodded his head, he couldn't help it, he always wanted to be in the know if anything was going on.

"Alright." he nodded his head smiling before turning and walking back to where Faye. He watched her for a little while sitting behind her desk busy with her work. He almost didn't want to disturb her but he also wanted to take her to lunch.

"I'm back, it was quicker than I thought it would be. Are you ready to go now or do you want to wait a little while longer?" he asked as he took a seat again and waited for her reply.
"I am a fan of The Avengers... if anyone is going to run into one of the Avengers it will be her believe me, no matter how big New York is she will be sure to meet one," she admitted, Faye had always been one for that kind of thing.

As she spoke about the events that had occurred she felt Peter's hand on hers and the butterflies turned into birds flapping in her chest, her heart was racing, it was a small comforting gesture but it caused her body to react fiercely.

"Of course, just what I always wanted to do. See your face everyday," she kept her tone light but the truth was she had always wanted to see his face everyday and now that she was older she wanted to wake up to his face, his smile, his laugh. "Oh, I want to see him again it has most certainly been way too long," she wrapped her fingers around his hand and squeezed it in return. As soon as May's voice came through the doorway both of them pulled their hands apart.

"I will have whatever May, I am not fussy unlike Peter here," she teased sticking her tongue out playfully. "Do you want me to call up?"

"No I can do it, how is your sister by the way I haven't asked."

"She is good, I think she is busy with her job but she loves it," May nodded her head her smile widening.

"That is good to hear.. right I had better order this food otherwise we won't be eating," with that she disappeared.

"So Peter... any girls? I bet you have had a flock of them coming to your house begging to take you out? How right am I?" Phoebe would be surprised if he wasn't interested in a girl, nor if she had any girls chasing after him. Sure he was nerdy but there was more to him then that. Unless she was the only one who knew that.

Phoebe liked The Avengers, Peter felt relief wash over him. Maybe she wouldn’t judge him or think he was crazy if he did ever tell her what he could do, what he was when he wasn’t at home or at school. “That’s true, she does always seem to have a lot of luck. Maybe if she does, then you can meet one too. Any favourites?” Peter was curious, he could probably try to set up a time and day if she wanted to meet Tony Stark.

Although he wasn’t sure if Tony would agree to it, it’s not like Peter sees him all that often. “Exactly, who wouldn’t want to see this face every day.” He chuckled softly as he smiled at her, she really was beautiful. She had the beauty that came from within, she had always been the nicest person anyone could meet. Her heart was so big and she had this way of brightening Peter’s day, just being in her presence was enough to make him forget any shitty day that he had.

“I know Ned is looking forward to seeing you again, he mentions you all the time.” He grinned as Ned was just as excited to see Phoebe again, as Peter was. He listened to Phoebe and Aunt May speak before he stuck his tongue out at Phoebe for calling him a fussy eater, he wasn’t… it was just vegetables weren’t his favourite things to eat.

“Girls? Oh no… I don’t think they see how awesome I am, most of them probably just think I’m this weird geek boy.” Peter told Phoebe honestly, of course he was interested in girls. Most teenage boys were, but Peter was truly only interested in one and she so happened to be sitting right beside him now.

Plus he was too busy trying to keep criminals off the streets, he wasn’t sure how well he could juggle school, Ned, saving the world and a girlfriend who didn’t know who he was in the Spider Man suit. “What about you? I bet you had a boyfriend or will have a boyfriend by the end of the week,” Any guy at his school would be blind if they didn’t see how perfect Phoebe was, not just in how she looked.

She was also incredibly smart, Peter still pinched himself because he had no idea how she was still even his friend. Hopefully that won’t change when they go to school, kids can often be mean and Peter did get bullied by some of the jocks.

It didn’t really bother Peter much, but he hoped that Phoebe wouldn’t see him differently. He was sure she wouldn’t as she wasn’t that kind of person, but he was nervous a jock would take her away from him.
Faye nodded her head lightly as she watched Steve walk away from her desk, her eyes took in his appearance from behind. He surely was fit, he was wearing a jacket but she could still see how defined his arms were. Clearing her throat, she quickly turned back to her work, she wanted to finish what she had to before Steve got back.

So she went back to focusing on the work she had to get done that day, surprisingly Faye got through her work and sent it off to the right person just as Steve arrived back at her desk.

Smiling at him Faye shook her head, “I’m all done. We can go now,” She looked at him, “Did you check to see if you were needed? Agent Hill told me that you tend to pop by every few days,” She smiled at him, it just showed to Faye how loyal he was to the job he had.

Not many people would still head into where they worked on their day off, even if something was to happen. Steve would be the first person someone would contact, Faye knew it showed the kind of man Steve was.

Picking up her desk and shutting her computer off, she grabbed her own jacket and her handbag. Standing up she pushed in her chair, making sure her desk was neat and tidy for when she returned.

“Have you done much exploring of the city? I heard there are some amazing markets on the weekends,” Faye mentioned as she liked to ask the locals what is on or what she should go to, she had already met a few of her neighbours in the apartment complex she lives in and they all gave her tips on where she should go.

Following Steve out of the building, she smiled each time he opened a door and let her step through before him. It was an action that Faye wasn’t used to, the guys she dated in the past were never a gentleman like Steve was.

Steve nodded his head when Faye asked if he had checked to see if he was needed today, "Yes that is correct. Truth is I get a little bored doing nothing. I don't feel like I am being helpful. I am sure there is so much going on but it is probably nothing big enough to report to the SHIELD base," it was true Steve did feel a little useless when there was nothing for him to do. However he had to keep himself entertained while he waited for something to arise.

"Truthfully, not really. Oh they sound interesting, are you interested in markets? What kind of things are you interested in?" he asked, he wanted to know a little more about her like the things she was interested in doing with her spare time, by the sounds of it attending markets was one of them. The male wondered what else. Perhaps he could take her somewhere one night, the movies? He couldn't take her to a dance because the clubs these days really weren't his thing.

The two left the building and he made his way toward his bike, he had decided to ride his bike in today rather than take a car, he hoped that Faye was okay with it, he only had one helmet so grabbing it he turned and held it out for her. "Are you a fan of bikes?" he asked shooting her a smile.
"Hmm," Phoebe thought to herself, she had always been a Thor fan with his bulging muscles, gorgeous smile and accent however she had heard rumour of a new Avenger, one that had only recently come on the scene and she had seen photographs, she had never seen his face but the stories she had heard about him had instantly captured her attention. "Well I was a Thor fan... but... well there is this new Avenger, Spiderman... I mean I have only ever seen photographs, and heard things about him, I don't think anyone has ever seen his face but to be honest he has really captured my attention. I mean he can climb walls and he shoots webs... Maybe I am too much of a spider fan but there is something about him that I like... However it would be nice to see his face too." she stated with a shrug of her shoulders.

She smiled at the mention of Ned, she missed him, he was always such a great guy. A massive nerd but he was so sweet and kind to her and she could see why both he and Peter became friends.

"I honestly can't wait to see him again either..." she listened as Peter said that he didn't have a girlfriend her heart did a flip. "Peter you are a weird geek boy, but that is why we are friends! And let's be real some girls are really stupid when it comes to guys. They always go for the loud mouthed douches and not the quiet and smart wise boys." she stated truthfully.

"Oh god no, no boys, I am happily single, considering most of the guys at my school were ridiculous and so full of themselves, no, they had plenty of adoring fans. If I have a boyfriend by the end of the week it will be amazing," she laughed knowing full well that she wouldn't. It's not like she was picky she just hadn't found the right one, she had dated a few times and every time it had never lasted more than a month. "And I am so not into the jock type either, urgh, give me a break. Before you argue Thor is a God there is a difference, plus like I said I am kinda falling into the team Spiderman category."

"Right dinner is ordered, now what do you want to do? We could put a movie on." May appeared in the lounge room running her fingers through her hair.

"Oh yes! We should put the Breakfast Club on!" she exclaimed happily shooting a teasing look at Peter.

"I knew there was a reason I liked you," May laughed before bending down and beginning to rummage through their dvd collection.

Peter listened to Phoebe, he was about to roll his eyes when she mentioned that she was a Thor fan. But he understood why she would, although he hadn’t met Thor. He had been pictures of him and he was one hell of a man. But then shock ran through his body when Phoebe mentioned him, technically she mentioned SpiderMan but what she didn’t know was he was SpiderMan.

He didn’t know what he should do, he could agree with her or he could disagree with her in hopes it would stop her from getting too close to the danger that now followed Peter. “Oh yeah… I haven’t taken much notice of him, I guess he’s doing a good job.” Peter spoke as it was the only thing that came to his mind, he couldn’t stop thinking about what she just told him.

He had captured her attention, he had been trying to capture her attention for years. “I think if people knew who he was, it would change everything for him.” He shrugged his shoulders lightly, he had to keep his identity a secret to protect the people he cared about. If anything happened to his Aunt May or Ned or Phoebe, he wouldn’t ever forgive himself.

Peter’s eyes moved over to the brunette beauty, he could tell that she didn’t realise how stunning she was. She had this light about her, that brightened every room she stepped in to and that was something Peter adored about her. “So, you think I’m smart? I remember you used to call me dumb and say that I had cooties,” He chuckled softly at what Phoebe used to say to him when they were much younger.

He couldn’t help but smile when Phoebe mentioned that she was single and wasn’t going to date a jock, “I wouldn’t be surprised.” He lowered his voice, Peter wouldn’t be surprised if Phoebe met a guy at the high school she would now be attending. Glancing over he looked at his Aunt, “Can’t we watch something that we haven’t seen a billion times?” He groaned softly as he rolled his eyes, he could nearly remember every word of the movie because Phoebe made him re-watch the movie over and over again.
“Do you have any hobbies?” Faye asked as he had to enjoy doing something in his spare time, but maybe his hobbies couldn’t be enjoyed in this time period of the world. “Just because you aren’t working on a mission, doesn’t mean that you’re helpless.” Faye looked at him, she knew that Steve wasn’t a God like Thor was but he certainly did look like one.

She nodded her head lightly, “I do. I always used to take my sister, Phoebe, to markets whenever I wasn’t working. I like looking at what people are selling,” She enjoyed going to markets as it was a nice day out that she didn’t have to rush around doing errands, “I’ll have to take you to one.” She smiled as she looked away from him, she knew she would start to blush if she continued to look at him.

“I like going on road trips, I do enjoy cooking and running. Not that I have much time now, I work every chance I get.” Faye told Steve honestly, she mostly threw herself into work as she thought it would keep her mind off of her parents’ death. It also helped slightly with Faye missing her sister, if she focused on her work then she didn’t have time to think about anything else.

Faye stared at the motorbike that Steve walked over to, her eyes moved over to him when he handed her the helmet. “I’ve never been on one before…” She was a little unsure about getting on his bike, simply because it was new to her. But she put the helmet on and made sure it was secure, she watched as Steve climbed onto his bike and let it roar to life.

Faye swallowed the lump in her throat before she climbed onto the bike behind him, her hands finding his sides as she felt like she needed to hold onto something. But she had to admit that he handled the bike perfectly, it was still a strange feeling being on two wheels. Her heart was racing in her chest, if only Phoebe saw her now.

Steve didn't really have any hobbies other than working out, he was a simple guy but most of the trash they had on television never excited him or was enough to capture his attention so her rarely watched it. Every now and again he would listen to music from his time, naturally, but he spent a lot of his time working out.

"Not really, I mean I ride my bike a lot and spend a lot of time attacking a punching bag, but other than that no." Steve listened as she spoke about the days she would spend at the markets with her sister. He could tell the two of them had a strong relationship. It was sweet, he grew up as an only child so he never had that kind of kinship, except with his best friend Bucky. "I would like that," he nodded his head, and he wasn't lying either he genuinely wanted to go to the markets with her.

"Maybe one day the two of us could go for a run, I'll go easy on you. I promise," he joked shooting her a playful wink. He saw how cautious she was about the bike, "It will be fine I promise, if you want I can go slow," he knew how intimidating motorbikes can be so he thought it only fair that if he was taking her for a ride he do it at a speed she was comfortable at. Swinging his leg over the vehicle he looked over his shoulder watching as Faye climbed on, he felt her hands grab his sides and he smiled. It had been a while since a woman had touched him and he had to admit he sure did miss it.

Starting the bike up he gave it a few revs before rolling out of the space and hewing into the centre of town where he would take Faye for a bite to eat. Slowly he built up the speed waiting to see if she reacted, if she clung to him tightly he would know to ease of the speed.
Phoebe rolled her eyes at his comment, of course he would say that, but she kept her lips sealed. When he said about his identity being found out everything would change for him she nodded her head.

"Oh of course it would, but it would be nice to know the face behind the mask," she said with a simple shrug of her shoulders. Phoebe was positive she wasn't the only one who thought that, she was certain there were probably thousands of people out there wanting to know who this new Avenger was. Was he an Avenger?

"Oh Peter, don't you remember if someone picks on you it means they like you," she laughed. Should she have just said that? Instantly she wanted to take that back but she knew it was too late, "Plus maybe I did that because I was insanely jealous of you... did you ever think about that?"

She looked at Peter long and hard, "Believe me Parker there is no way I will be dating anyone by the end of the week," why would she date anyone when she is so head over heels for the boy sitting in front of her?

When Peter wined about the movie choice she looked up at May giving her a knowing look. The brown haired woman sighed.

"Very well Peter what would you like to watch?"

Peter wasn’t sure he heard Phoebe right or if his ears were playing tricks on him, did she say that she picked on him because she liked him? She had said that, but she couldn’t possibly mean it in that way. She most likely meant she liked him as a friend and that was all, that was all they could be because Peter was certain that is the only way Phoebe saw him.

“Why would you have been jealous of me?” He asked as he looked at her, there was no reason for her to be jealous. He had been this scrawny, clumsy kid when they had been younger. If anyone should have been jealous, it would have been Peter of Phoebe.

Peter just smiled at Phoebe when she rejected the idea of her finding a guy to date by the end of the week, she may not want to date anyone but that didn’t mean she wasn’t going to be asked out, like a million times.

“Well… I haven’t watched Jurassic…” Peter trailed off before he was cut off by his Aunt, “No way Peter. You watched all the Jurassic Park movies last week, we aren’t watching them again.” May spoke up before smiling over at Phoebe, “You’re our guest. So, Phoebe can pick the movie tonight,” May glanced over to Peter who just huffed a little and leaned back into the couch, “What will it be, sweetheart?” She asked Phoebe.
Faye rolled her eyes when he made the comment about going for a run together, she knew he would undoubtedly run laps around her but she had always been good at running. She knew she could impress him if they ever got the chance.

Feeling the bike roar to life and start moving, she kept her hands on his sides as she strangely felt comfortable. She wasn’t comfortable being on a motorbike, but it was because Steve was there and she just knew deep down that he wouldn’t let anything happen to her. He was that kind of guy who put himself last.

As they drove through the city, Faye took the chance to look around. She watched as the tall buildings past them by, she listened to cars horns blaring, people were going about their day and hurrying from place to place. But one thing she couldn’t stop thinking about was the playful wink Steve had given her, it caused her to smile just thinking about it. She hadn’t dated many guys, especially since she took her job with SHIELD. She just hadn’t met anyone and now she was the sole guardian of Phoebe, so dating a guy wasn’t much of an option.

Once Steve found a park, Faye took her hands away even though it felt nice to touch him. She waited until he climbed off, before she followed and took the helmet off. “That was different,” She looked at him but she hadn’t actually hated being on a motorbike, she’d never ride one herself but it wasn’t as bad as she always imagined.

“Have you always ridden one?” She asked as she didn’t know much about Steve’s life before he was thawed out, she knew bits and pieces but she hadn’t read up on him like other agents did.

Steve nodded his head when Faye asked him about bike riding, "Yes, I rode a bike before I got a car. When I was unfrozen it was the first thing I asked for. I like the feeling of riding a bike to be honest, when it is wet weather it can get a little less enjoyable but you get over it after a while." it was true riding a bike in wet or rough weather can be a nightmare but he enjoyed it either way.

The two walked toward a free bench, he had intended to take her to get food and a drink but he thought perhaps the two of them could talk. The seat was underneath the shade of a large oak tree. Taking a seat he waited for her to follow suit.

"So do you enjoy working at SHIELD?" he really wanted to know, SHIELD can be rather intense work and some people can't handle it. "I know it can be a rather intense job."
"Because you were so carefree, you were happy like all the time, every time I came over you were full of energy and exuded happiness and your smile, good god man I could have been in the worst mood and you changed that as soon as I saw you. Plus you had Ned and he is your best friend. I had like no real friends, everyone I hung around with were snakes," she admitted truthfully with a shrug if her shoulders.

With May looking at her she thought, "Harry Potter?" it was the first movie that always came to her mind it was a favourite of hers, she always had good memories connected to the movies. Every movie night with her and Faye they would pick one at random and snuggle under blankets with heaps of ice cream and chocolate.

"Sounds perfect," May smiled before she dug out the movie. "Do you want to wait until the Pizza gets here or?" just then the doorbell rang, "Forget that, Peter be a sweetie and get some rugs for us." May called over her shoulder as she walked toward the front door to get the pizza

Peter had no idea Phoebe felt that way and saw him in that way, he had always thought of her in that light. He wasn’t sure what to say to her and he knew his Aunt was in the room, he didn’t want to say or do anything that would embarrass them.

“But you always had me and Faye, what other friends do you honestly need?” He smiled as he tried to lighten their conversation and not give May another reason to tease him about his feelings for Phoebe, she had apparently seen the way he acted around Phoebe and put it all together.

He chuckled softly when Phoebe picked the movie she wanted to watch, “If you start drooling over the guys then I’m bouncing.” He grinned before he stood up and walked into the kitchen, he grabbed some napkins as he knew if they used plates then he would have to wash up.

He also grabbed them each a can of soda, knowing which flavour Phoebe always went for. Walking back over to the couch, he saw both May and Phoebe already eating a slice as the movie started. “How dare you! How could you both betray me like this?” He rushed over setting the napkins and drinks on the coffee table, before he plopped down onto the couch. He instantly took a slice of pizza into his hands as he wasn’t going to miss out.
Faye followed him over to a free bench under a large tree, sitting down she looked over at him. “I do, I wouldn’t change what we do for anything. I’ve always wanted to help people, so I joined the army as soon as I graduated high school.” She told him as she felt at ease around him, she felt like she could tell him anything and he wouldn’t judge her.

“My parents weren’t overly pleased about that, but I think they just worried about me.” She glanced away from Steve when she mentioned her parents, she still couldn’t talk about them. “And I went through all the training and I was prepared to go to war, I never got the chance because Fury found me and offered me a job with SHIELD. I just want to help people and be there for them when we are attacked.” Faye explained to him, she agreed that it was an intense job but she loved it non-the less.

“Do you still enjoy it?” Faye asked as her eyes found his light ones, “I know a lot of agents are glad that you were found. Especially the female agents, honestly, it’s a little annoying how often they talk about you. No offense to you, of course.” Did she just insult Captain America? She hadn’t meant to, but she wasn’t in SHIELD to gossip or drool over any of the other agents or the Avengers.

Steve nodded his head as he listened to Faye, he was surprised to hear she had joined the army, he honestly never would have thought she would have been the kind of girl for that thing but she seemed to be full of surprises. She seemed like a genuine person, a woman with kindness in her heart yet at the same time he was positive she could be firm if she needed to be.

In a way she kind of reminded her of his late girl Peggy Carter. Faye knew what she wanted and she was going to stand for what she believed in which was what he loved in a woman. Most of the women in SHIELD he knew fawned over him but he didn't see anything in them. However with Faye there was certainly something there. A small spark but perhaps it would blossom into something bigger.

"I do enjoy it, to an extent. I like the fact that I am helping protect people from things bigger than they could ever imagine. However sometimes I do wish I was just an ordinary guy. A guy that was able to have a normal life after the war, a family, kids, you know things that most guys get." and that was the truth Steve did love what he did but he also wished he could have a normal life. However with what he did there was no way that was possible. He was surprised how Clint, Hawkeye, could do it. "Anyway lets not talk about work, let's talk about something else. Anything else."
"Well we were hungry and you were taking forever," Phoebe sighed before biting into her slice of pizza and watching as the male set the items down on the table and plopped down beside her." Reaching over she grabbed a coke and sat back as the movie started enjoying the food and the company even though she wanted to call Faye very much.

Once the movie was finished May got to her feet and began to tidy away the mess on the coffee table. Phoebe quickly got up to help her carrying the pizza boxes into the kitchen and placing them in the recycle bin.

"How are you feeling?" May asked turning to look at her. Phoebe nodded her head.

"I'm alright, I suppose." May looked at her before wrapping her arms around her in a tight hug.

"If you need anything I am always here to talk." Phoebe nodded her head thankful for that. She knew there would come a time when she most certainly would have to talk to May about things especially since Faye wasn't there with her.

"Thanks May... anyways I suppose I should go back out there and see what Peter is doing," she giggled before turning and leaving the kitchen walking back out into the lounge room.

Peter was lounging on the couch as his stomach was so full, he wasn’t sure if he would be able to move. His eyes moved over onto Phoebe when she walked back out from the kitchen, “I think I ate too much pizza… why didn’t you stop me?” Peter looked at her as he stretched his body out, he hadn’t even thought about going to his room and changing into his Spiderman suit.

All he wanted to do was spend time with Phoebe, he wanted to make sure she was okay but he also just missed having her around. They used to spend so much time together when they were kids, but as they got older that slowly changed with everything that happened in their lives.

“I’ve missed this though,” He smiled as he looked at her, everything was better when Phoebe was around. She made everything better for him, he hoped that he could do the same for her. “Did May tell you that we’re having our Homecoming dance next month?” He asked Phoebe, he wanted to ask her if she would go with him.

But he couldn’t bring himself to, he was scared if he did then it would ruin their friendship. And it would make things awkward between them if she refused him, also he didn’t want to stop her from going with someone else that she liked more.
Faye smiled softly when she saw the surprise flash across Steve’s stunning blue eyes, not many people weren’t surprised to find out that she had served in the army. But she had enjoyed everything she learnt during that time, however she was now in the position where she saw things that not many people could imagine.

She listened to what he was saying and she could only imagine how hard it must get for him, it was something she admired about him. “Maybe one day you can, you can’t always be Captain America and people shouldn’t expect you to always be there. Besides in a few years, we’ll be pushed aside by younger agents and younger Avengers.” She looked at him as she had seen what Spiderman could do, she knew Tony Stark was helping the young kid.

Smiling Faye looked at him, she could see that one day Steve would make a woman very happy. “Have you actually tried to meet people outside of work?” She asked as she hadn’t, she was never comfortable doing to clubs like people her age were. She knew people she worked with, she knew Phoebe and that was enough for Faye for right now. “I haven’t, I really only have my sister. Which sounds really sad now that I’m saying it out aloud… you’d like her, big fan of Thor.” She chuckled softly.

Steve nodded his head as he listened to her talk about a younger generation of Avengers, instantly the image of Spiderman flashed in his mind, he had never actually seen the Avengers face but from the tone of his voice and body structure he knew he was young. Fifteen maybe sixteen. He also knew that Tony was helping the boy so he was going to be one of the best. Even after everything that happened between Tony and himself he still respected the guy, even if sometimes he wanted to punch the arrogantness out of him.

"That is true, before long I will be out of business and no longer required," he joked playfully shooting Faye a wink. "No not really..." it was the truth he hadn't gone out and looked because he was still pining over Peggy Carter, the woman he had fallen in love with all those years ago.

"No not at all, I think it is sweet, I always wanted a brother or sister however I was an only child and I must say it was a lonely childhood to be honest. I was a thin sick kid but then the war came and well everyone knows what happened next. Now here I am. How old is your sister? Where is she living while you are here?" he questioned wanting to know more about Faye's family.
Phoebe laughed as she looked at Peter who was lounged out on the three seater clutching his stomach and complaining that he ate too much pizza.

"Who am I to stop you from eating Pizza, I am pretty sure if I tried you would have bitten my hand off. Up" she watched as the male lifted himself slightly and she sat down before grabbing him before he fully sat up, "You're right, better to be horizontal so your food can digest properly." that was a load of bullshit but she didn't want the guy to sit up plus she knew he liked it when someone played with his hair.

"I have missed this too Peter, it has been way too long. I am so glad I am back," when Peter mentioned homecoming she perked up. "No she didn't... are you excited?" Phoebe honestly began to feel a little excited. She was looking forward to her homecoming however when everything happened it went to the back of her mind and she didn't think about it much.

"Have you got a date in mind? Maybe I could help you set it up?"

“No, I wouldn’t.” Peter grinned when Phoebe explained why she didn’t stop him, he grunted as he went to sit up on the couch but felt her hand stop him. Laying back down he rested his head on her lap, “I swear you can read my mind sometimes.” He chuckled but it did give him an excuse to continue laying on the couch, but he also got the chance to be close to Phoebe and he would always enjoy those chance he got.

He shrugged his shoulders lightly when she asked if he was excited about the Homecoming dance, he wasn’t even sure if he would go or not. He knew Aunt May would push him and Ned to go, but if they did he knew they would just stick together and talk for the entire night. Which they could do at home, but at home they could get takeout food and play video games.

“I don’t know if I’m going, so I don’t need a date.” Unless he could ask Phoebe to be his date, but that could make things weird between them. Unless he made it seem like they could go as friends, even though Peter didn’t want to go to the dance with Phoebe as just friends.

“You have to go though, maybe Faye can take you shopping for a dress.” Peter suggested knowing that she would enjoy the dance, she wasn’t as awkward around people as what he could be.
“I’m sure you’ll be required in a different way,” Faye smiled at Steve, even if he wasn’t fighting to save the world. He could still help train the new Avengers or he would have a wife and a family of his own, that would need him. She felt a flutter in her stomach when Steve sent her a playful wink, she knew it was stupid of her to feel that way. He was completely out of her league.

“You should, there are some nice people out there.” She knew she shouldn’t be telling him that, because she wouldn’t be taking her own advice. But she thought it would be good for him to get out more, “Maybe we can explore the city together. Make us feel less alone and awkward,” She glanced over at Steve, hoping she hadn’t over stepped a line or make a fool out of herself.

She knew about Agent Carter, Faye admired the woman for every single thing she did as an agent and as a woman. There was no way Faye could imagine living up to someone like Peggy.

Listening to him, Faye smiled. “And then you ate your vegetables and grew,” She joked as she knew what happened, every SHIELD agent knew. “She’s sixteen, she’s so amazing though. Very mature for her age, she has her head screwed on right.” She smiled fondly as she couldn’t have wished for a better younger sister, “She’s living in Queens with a family friend right now.” She sighed softly as she hated that she was apart from Phoebe, but it was better off this way, at least for now.

Steve chuckled at Faye, she had a sense of humour which was something refreshing, as she spoke about her sister he saw the way she lit up, the smile that spread across her face. When she mentioned Queens he was reminded of the new Avenger he had briefly met earlier this year.

    Spiderman.

He had only briefly spoken to the kid, and he was a kid Steve assumed no older then sixteen. He had his whole life ahead of him and already he had battled some of the strongest people he had ever met. Himself included.

"Oh will you go and see her much? Or do they have you busy at base? Also in regard to exploring the city together I would enjoy that very much. We should probably go and get something to eat before your lunch break ends," getting up from the bench he had been sitting he scanned his surroundings when he spied a sandwich shop. "Come on, there is a sandwich shop just up ahead, if we hurry you will be able finish something before you have to go back," he smiled before extending his arm out for her to grab as he lead her toward the destination.
"Peter if I am going to Home-coming you are as well, there is no way in hell I am going by myself, so you're coming you and Ned can be my dates for the night," she stated as she began to run her fingers through his dark curls, she couldn't get over how soft they were. "If I am wearing a dress you are wearing a suit!" she pointed out smiling down at him. "And you can't say no!" she spitfired before he even thought about refusing. There was no way she was going to miss out on spending one of the biggest nights in her schooling years with her best friends.

"Don't forget Peter I know your weaknesses," she pointed out gently tugging his hair, "and I plan to play dirty to make sure you come." Phoebe hoped like hell that May didn't walk back in because she was certain that she would have questions about the two of them, or maybe May would be cool with it, Phoebe really hoped it was the latter and that if May did walk back in she wouldn't say anything much to make anything awkward.
