This contest is now open until December 1st so you have until then to submit your entries and you can still enter the competition!
The Idea:
No offense to teenage characters, but I'm more interested in reading about adults. So the idea of this contest is to write a story where your protagonists are over the age of 23 and they're not in school/university/college anymore! The rest is up to you, as long as they're 23 or older and no longer students.
The Rules:
- Please follow Mibba's Guidelines;
- As I have stated, the protagonist/s of your story must be over 23 years old and out of school, but there can be children and teenagers in the plot as long as they're not the main characters;
- Any rating allowed, including NC-17; smut is permitted as well as violence and anything else you want to include, however make sure you use content warnings if your story includes abuse of any kind, rape, incest or extreme violence. Rate accordingly;
- Both fanfiction and original fiction are permitted;
- Pre-writes are allowed as long as they follow all these rules;
- I will not set a mandatory word count, however the story should be finished by the deadline;
- The layout must be readable. It's fine if you just use the default, but please don't use extravagant colours or tiny font.
The Brownie Points:
- diverse characters (people of colour, a story that takes place in a non-english speaking country, LGBT+ characters);
- one or more characters are older than 40;
- Interesting and unique title.
The Prizes:
- A lengthy comment on two stories of your choice;
- A blog interview;
- A review of one of your stories;
- A rec blog recommending your work.
1st place gets all, 2nd can pick two and 3rd can pick one. All entries will receive a comment.
The Deadline:
- to enter: none
- to submit your finished work: 13th of October, 20171st of December, 2017
Results will be revealed one week later.
