we all need some time, on our own...

Anna walked into the bar as she looked around. She was late yet again for her shift. She knew if she kept it up her boss would fire her. She quickly made her way to the back getting her apron and going about waiting on customers. She saw unfamiliar face and walked towards him. "I'm Anna. What can I get you?" She asked smiling at him. She couldn't help but to think how gorgeous and sexy he was.

Corey had lost the love of his love a week ago and the pain was still strong. He finally got out of the house and made his way over to a bar. He sat down at a table, looking around. His eyes wondered around the bar until he heard footsteps making their way over to him. He smiled a tiny bit when he saw a waitress approach him. "I would like a jack and coke please" he said kindly. He might have been miserable but he didn't want to take it on the waitress or make her listen to his sad story.

Anna nodded her head, "Coming right up." Anna said as she took and walked towards the bar filling his order. She walked over sitting it down in front of him. "That's an awful strong drink, you ok?" Anna asked him.

Corey sighed when the waitress walked away. It was still hard for him and it was still fresh in his mind, having nightmares every night since it happened. "Thank you" he said when the waitress sat it down in front him. "Not really but I don't want to burden anyone with my story" he said softly before he took a drink of his drink.

Anna looked at him a second, "It's just us here. So if you wanna talk I am a great listener." Anna said to him. Anna smiled lightly as she took and walked over to the bar wiping it off. She took and sighed a little bit as she took and did what she had to do while he drank on his drink.

Corey nodded when she said that she was there if he needed to talk.
"Thanks" he said to her. He then watched her walk away. It was hard for him to talk about what happened but he needed to. He got up and made his way over to the bar with his drink. "Its still hard to talk about but I lost my wife" he said with a sigh.

Anna looked at Corey and frowned, "I am so sorry to hear that." Anna whispered to him. "I am sorry that you lost your wife." She frowned leaning into the bar and getting him another drink. "I know that must be hard." She told him and frowned.

Corey looked at Anna. "Thanks" he said softly before taking a sip of his drink. "It is. I don't know how I will ever get over this pain" he said softly. He told himself that he wouldn't unload his problems but yet here he was. There was something about this girl.

Anna frowned at him seeing how broken he was. "This." She pointed at the booze. "Really won't help." She told him frowning.

Corey nodded. "I know but I don't know what else to do so I try and numb the pain" he admitted as he took another drink.

Anna frowned at him, "Maybe talk to someone. It'd help in the long run.' She told him.

Corey finished his drink before looking at her. He knew she was right. “You’re right I need to talk to someone” he said. It was just hard for him to. To be honest, she was the first person he talked to about it. “Do you think I could talk to you?” He then asked, knowing it was probably stupid.

Nodding her head, "My shift is over. Come on over to a booth and we'll talk." Anna smiled lightly at Corey.

Corey smiled weakly and nodded. He made his way over to the booth. This was unsual but he was willing to give it a try. This woman seemed like she would be understanding tho. “I’m really not sure where to start” he admitted. It was hard for him to talk about his feelings.

"How about wherever you feel like you should start?" Anna smiled.

Corey nodded. “It’s just she died and it’s all my fault. I loved her so much, now she is gone” he said. Unsure what to do now, just drinking helped but he was willing to try anything. “Without her I’m nothing. Just a shell” he added.
