Give Me Love.

Kol watched her with mild surprise, though having her hands against his face felt so familiar and so welcomed and so right that he couldn’t deny it. For a moment, he leaned into her hand, accepting the feeling for a few moments while he could allow himself to enjoy it. “I wish we could have met again much sooner than now, love,” he admitted quietly as he watched her, “I missed you more than I could possibly put into words.” And, he had. She’d always been everything to him and he’d been so sure that she would just be gone from his life entirely, but she was there now - and at the worst timing.

Ashlyn smiled at his words, "I wish we could have too." She replied before dropping her hands, remembering a certain brunette in Kol's life that wasn't her, "But fate is a cruel mistress." She stated with a sigh before turning and going back to her glass, taking a long sip from it. Ashlyn was never one to disrespect someone else, and by letting her feelings be put out there, she was disrespecting Davina, and the girl had done nothing to deserve that from Ashlyn, "I'm just going to have to grin and bare it. I'll learn to live with it because I can see that Davina makes you happy." She explained.

Kol almost wished she hadn’t moved away from him, almost wished that neither of them were reminded of Davina, and he dropped his gaze for a long moment. He forced a nod, trying to put on a brave face as he offered a smile to her. “Right,” he agreed after a moment, “She makes me happy.” Or, she did. Now, he just felt like he was obligated to be with her - and he knew a huge reason he felt that way was because of his feelings for Ashlyn, but Davina did bring him back to life. He felt almost miserable with this knowledge. “Davina should be coming ‘round soon, if you want to see her,” he mentioned, hoping to steer the conversation in a different direction in hopes of ridding himself of the awful feelings he held.

Ashlyn could hear the different tone in Kol's voice, but didn't say anything about it. When he brought up how Davina would be coming around soon, she smiled slightly, "I'd love to." She stated. Ashlyn needed to get used to the girl being around a lot sooner rather than later, "Invite her over for lunch, I'll make something for the three of us." She suggested with a very small smile. Ashlyn felt guilty for the pit of jealousy in her stomach, but knew she couldn't control it seeing as she have loved Kol for her entire life, and it luck just never wanted to go in her favor for their relationship.

Kol nodded slightly in response. “Of course, love,” he decided easily, “I’ll go meet her at my place and bring her over.” Really, he didn’t want to risk Davina drawing any conclusions about what was going on - he recalled how she’d acted when she’d met Ashlyn and Kol didn’t quite want another interaction like that so soon. “I’ll see you in a bit, love.” He offered a weak smile, watching her for a moment before he turned to leave to go wait for Davina at the compound in hopes that she’d show soon - or, rather, that she wouldn’t show at all.

Ashlyn smiled and nodded before watching him leave her apartment. Ashlyn quickly picked up Thor when he bounded over to her feet, "What am I going to do, baby Thor? I can't break them up, but I love him so much." She stated as she petted behind the kitten's ear. He let out a meow before she put him back on the ground to start making lunch. Part of Ashlyn hoped that Davina wouldn't show up at all, but she knew it was very doubtful, and that Kol would more than likely be bringing the brunette over to Ashlyn's apartment soon.
