For the past few years, we've had Mibba Halloween on the site, and it's come to be known simply as Mibbaween! The rules are easy to follow, everyone can do it, and participating is a way to make Mibba alive again while getting into the Halloween spirit! For the duration of Mibbaween, you're able to dress up, hand out candy and other treats, and even play some tricks on your fellow Mibbians, so feel free to do so throughout the entire month!
You can participate in Mibbaween through the following ways:
Probably the funnest thing a Mibbian can do while participating is dressing up (besides getting treats, of course)! You can "dress up" a number of different ways and be whoever you want to be! You can change your avatar, username, signature, and custom profile to fit the image of who you'll be dressing up as. There's even the possibility to dress up as another Mibbian!
There are some rules that need to be followed if you dress as another user and here they are (taken from last year's thread):
- You must ask the user if they will let you go as them.
- Direct them to this thread.
- If they say yes, make sure you thank them!
- If they say no, don't be offended, be respectful, and try to come up with another idea!
"Hey, Katie! Mibbaween's coming up and I was wondering if you might allow me to dress up as you this year? If you don't know what I'm talking about, check out this thread!"I'd then link her to this thread and await her reply. It's that simple!However, make sure to give back their username when Mibbaween is over!
What would any Halloween be without the distribution of candy?
Needless to say, Mibbians can't give each other actual candy via the internet (it might not taste too good), so we have something to make up for that! Instead, we give out gifts. Users pass these out through the use of the blog section and throughout the entire month you can find that "Candy Bowls" are usually in abundance.
If you don't know what you could possibly hand out, here are some sweet ideas:
- Story/Poem comments and/or recommendations
- User recommendations
- A recommendation blog
- Friend requests
- Personalized blog/story layouts
- Story banners
- Writing poems or one-shots
- Profile picture comments

If you decide to be delightfully evil and would care to play a "trick" on other Mibbians, you can do so by TP'ing, egging, whatever your devious heart desires to the blogs you read! There really isn't much to playing a trick on a Mibbian, and I suppose you could just comment, "-throws eggs-" or maybe even find a .gif to do the job for you. However, don't be rude. Only egg or TP a blog once. You can still have fun with it and not be rude.

As I was reading this post, I got sad because I had been the one to post this for the past few years, and when I got to the bottom I was dying laughing because it was recycled!
