Nothing In This World Compares To You.

Sylvia let out a soft sigh as she made her way into work. The babysitter was late and her 2 year daughter was upset about her leaving so she ended up being late to work. She has worked at the same bar for about 4 years now. It wasn’t best job in the world but she made good money at it plus it was something she was good at. It was also a job for a single mother. Willow’s father wasn’t in the picture due to the fact he was a hunter and she didn’t know how to tell him. Guilt would fill her from time to time but at the end of the day she knew she was doing what was best for her daughter She went to the front once her bag was put in her locker and started to bartend. After a few minutes, she saw someone she recognized as she made her way down the bar. It was Sam Winchester which meant that Dean, Willow’s father, was around here somewhere.

Dean sighed driving his baby around the town that he knew was familiar to him and knew that the girl he had almost fallen for was here as well. He hadn't stayed long enough to let himself fall completely considering he was a hunter and would leave a lot whenever he had to and knew for a fact that that wasn't a good life for anyone and didn't want anyone to suffer through him because that was his work and he couldn't provide for someone else. He frowned at the mirror before letting his features soften as he made it to the bar where he was meeting Sam. He got out and was almost dizzy with nostalgia from when he had been here 3 years ago. He wondered where Sylvia. She had always spoke about getting out of town and going somewhere else. He walked into the bar and was stunned to see her bartending. He couldn't believe it. After all these years? God, she looked beautiful. He didn't understand it. It was like she hadn't aged at all. He walked up and said, "Sylvia?" He gave her a gentle smile but his eyes were full of adoration and also pain considering he knew he put her through quite a bit of that.

Sylvia stopped in her tracks when she heard his voice. She then looked up, meeting his green eyes with blue ones. “Hey Dean” She said softly with a smile. Butterflies began to take over my stomach. Along with the butterflies was guilt though, guilt about what she was keeping from him. “What can I get you?” She then asked as he sat down next to Sam. It was great to see them even though it would most likely end in heartbreak again. She was deeply in love with him and that was never going to change.

Dean was stunned. She was so damn gorgeous and he couldn't believe he was seeing her again. "Uh the usual." He smiled softly at her staring into her beautiful blue eyes and looking away to see Sam excuse himself to allow them to have some alone time. "Hey, Sylvia, when do you get off? I'd like to catch up, if you don't hate me." He told her frowning knowing he had hurt her by leaving. He wanted to take her with him, but he couldn't drag her into this lifestyle knowing that she wouldn't be safe and far from evil. It seemed, though, her town was cursed since him and Sam were back once again.

Sylvia smiled softly and then nodded when he said he wanted the usual. It had been 3 years but she remembered what he drank. “I don’t hate you and I get off at 11” she said as she fixed his drink. She then placed it front of him. “Of course I want to catch up” she added as she looked into his eyes once more. She decided that she had to tell him about his daughter and soon even though there was a part of her that was scared of how he would react.

Dean heard her say that she got off at 11 and smiled. He took the glass she made for him and sipped on it, knowing he wanted to be mostly sober while talking with her. She always made him feel like he didn't need to be drunk. Hearing her words, he smiled once more his green eyes shining as they always did. "Alright, sounds good. Until then I will keep you company." He told her giving a grin before looking over as some dude started to flirt with her but just kept his cool, knowing she could take care of herself.

Sylvia smiled as she watched him. “Glad to hear it” she said when he said he would keep her company. Her attention turned to the guy who started to flirt with her. She walked over to him as she slipped on a ring on her let finger. “Well what can I get you?” She then asked sweetly, making sure her hand was noticeable. The flirting stopped and he answered her. She made the drink and gave it to him before making her way back over to Dean. “Gotta love fake costume jewelry” she whispered to Dean with a smile on her face as she leaned against the bar.

Dean nodded in agreement, "Always." He said already being sucked by in by her and he didn't know how she did it. He could just feel himself falling back into what he had already done. He contained his laughter until the guy left. "Same old same old. Though, I don't recall you using that on me." He teased a smile on his face as he talked with Sylvia. "Still as beautiful as always." He told her laughing. "And as badass." He told her sipping on his drink not being able to wait until after she got off so they could catch up. She was one of the things he regretted leaving behind. He hated leaving, but he was making the world safer and he knew she understood that.

Sylvia smiled at him, letting out a soft laugh when he said that she didn’t use the ring on him. “Well that’s because I liked you.” She said with a flirty smile. Her mind wandering back to the the last time he was in the bar. She had a baby which she made her a bit insecure. “Thanks handsome. You are not bad yourself” she said as she took a sip of her drink as her blue eyes watched him. They weren’t really busy tonight surprisingly with just one waitress along with maybe 8 customers. Dean was the only at the bar. He was still handsome and she could feel herself falling for him already. She was trying to figure out how she was going to tell him about Willow. There were so many times but she wanted to call but stopped herself. “So what’s new with you?” She asked as she started to make drinks for he waitress.

He wasn't going to tell her about hell or all of that drama shit. She didn't need that, especially since he didn't want her to worry or ask if he was okay. He wasn't. He didn't think he ever would be, but he didn't want her to know that and didn't want another Sam. He didn't want to talk about his feelings or about what he had done. He shook it from his mind and laughed, "I like you too." He said smiling. "Good to know!" He said raising his beer up to her before taking another sip. He looked around and said, "Still making great tips? Last time I was here, everyone said you were the best bartender." He told her smiling. He hadn't aged so much. His eyes were the only thing that had changed, and that's because they had turned a little more serious like he was constantly waiting for something to happen. When he heard her question he chuckled, "If I tell you you're gonna freak the fuck out." He said knowing he rarely said the word fuck. "What about you?" He asked her.

Sylvia could tell his eyes had changed. She figured that he gone through a lot the past three years. A smile appeared on her face when he raised his beer up, laughing softly. "Yeah thats the only reason I am still here to be honest" she admitted as she placed the drinks on the tray. She listened to him and nodded. "I bet" she said as she walked back over to him. "Well I had planned on leaving but things changed. I became a single mother" she said as she took another sip of her drink. A lot more happened after that but she really didn't want to get into details. Her blue eyes traced his face as she waited for a reaction. There was a huge part of her that was scared that he would run out of the bar.

Dean laughed hearing her, "Well you are one hell of a woman, so I'm sure you could do amazing in any job you wanted." He told her being sweet. He was only sweet with select people and she was one of those. He nodded, "Just know i'll fix it." He laughed smiling knowing she had faith in him and what he did to keep communities safe. He was in the middle of taking a drink when she said she had become a single mother. He coughed but managed to swallow the rest of it. "That's cool. Um. Who's is it?" He asked her his eyes staying on her focused and he let his hand wiped his mouth like he normally did when he was nervous and just watched her making sure she was going to answer him honestly. He wanted to run, but knew if it was his, then he would take care of it. He wasn't going to leave like a piece of shit. He would take responsibility.

Sylvia watched his face as she felt her heart began to beat fast. She was scared that he would run out and she would never see him again but she knew she had to be honest with him. After a moment of silence, she looked into his eyes as tears began to form. "Her name is Willow and she is your daughter" she said softly, not moving from his gaze. She loved Dean and she could never lie to him. It pained her to keep this big of a secret from him but she was only doing what she thought was right for their daughter.

Dean stared at her waiting for a response. When she finally gave one, his heart stopped for a second or at least it felt like it. He took a breath and he shook his head and stared at his beer and then looked back up at her seeing the tears and frowned, "Hey, don't cry Sylvia." he murmured taking her hand. "It's just a shock." he choked out. He rubbed her hand in his own and sighed. "Why didn't you tell me before? She's got to be 2 by now." He murmured. "Wait, hold on. You didn't tell me for 2 years? Why?" He asked her frowning as he looked back up at her. He knew she had a good reason and he wasn't going to be angry he was mostly just confused and stunned at the moment. He had to tell Sam. Sam was an uncle. He was a dad. He felt lightheaded at that moment.

Dean stared at her waiting for a response. When she finally gave one, his heart stopped for a second or at least it felt like it. He took a breath and he shook his head and stared at his beer and then looked back up at her seeing the tears and frowned, "Hey, don't cry Sylvia." he murmured taking her hand. "It's just a shock." he choked out. He rubbed her hand in his own and sighed. "Why didn't you tell me before? She's got to be 2 by now." He murmured. "Wait, hold on. You didn't tell me for 2 years? Why?" He asked her frowning as he looked back up at her. He knew she had a good reason and he wasn't going to be angry he was mostly just confused and stunned at the moment. He had to tell Sam. Sam was an uncle. He was a dad. He felt lightheaded at that moment.

Sylvia watched him. A weight had been lifted off her a little bit but there was still guilt from keeping it from him. She looked at their hands for a moment before looking back up at him. “I understand” she said softly. She knew she should have told him but she would back out. “I wanted to but I didn’t know how. Hunting is your life and I know how important it is to you” She said softly as she gently squeezed his hand. “I have almost called you a lot of times during the past two years especially about a month ago” she added as she looked into his eyes once more.

Dean shook his head watching her and said, "So I have a daughter." He looked off in the distance finding all of this surreal. He looked back at her and sighed, "I gave you my number, my real number, in case of an emergency. This is kind of an emergency. You went through your pregnancy alone?" He shook his head. "I'm not mad, but i'm just dumbfounded on why you didn't call me." He told her gently and sighed, "Yeah, well, I think having a family is pretty important to. " He told her. "Now I don't know what to do. I have to keep hunting because of the apocalypse bullshit and. " He cut himself off and looked at her. "I want to be here for you, and for her. It's not fair to either one of you. If ever there were a reason to give up hunting, I think this would be it. Or at least tone it down and do local ones or some shit." He told her/

Sylvia watched him, understanding where he was coming from. “I know and I’m sorry” she said softly as she watched him trying to make sense of all of this. “I get it I really do” she said softly as she felt tears fall. The guilt of keeping him away from their daughter and their daughter from him. She nodded and wiped away her tears as the waitress showed up for Sylvia’s break. “Thank you Beth” she said to the girl before walking out from behind the bar. She walked over to Dean and sat next to him. “I’m sorry I didn’t tell you. It was selfish of me” she said softly. Willow knew some stories of her father and what he looked like. “She knows a little about you” She added as she pulled out her phone. She then showed him a picture of a beautiful little girl that had his eyes.

"I'm not pissed, but Sam might get pissed because he likes kids and Ya know he is her uncle." Dean told her and sighed as he heard her and shook his head running a hand throughout his hair biting down on his lip and saw the tears falling and frowned before wiping them away. When she was beside him he pulled her into his arms and rubbed her back. "Don't cry. You did what was best or what you thought was best and I can't be mad at that." He told her running his hand through her hair before pulling away to look at her. "How in the world was that selfish?" He questioned her touching her cheek gently before blinking hearing her say she knew somewhat about him. "What's her name?" He asked before looking at the beautiful little baby girl staring at the camera. He smiled seeing that she had his eyes and said, "God, she looks like my mom.." He bit down on his lip again and ran a hand over his face. "When can I meet her?" he questioned.
