“I miss my body,” Artemis mumbled.

Brian pulled two fake IDs out of his pocket and handed one to Fae. “It’s enchanted so we’ll be fine.”

“I know, baby,” Zack said. “We’ll get it back.”

Fae smiled at him. She showed the bartender her ID before looking at Brian, her cheeks flushing. “I don’t know what to order,” she mumbled, slightly embarrassed. “I’ve never drank before.”

“I never thought I’d miss having boobs,” Artemis mumbled.

“Lets start her off with a vodka rebull with grenadine,” Brian stated. “I’ll have a rum and coke.”

“Really?” Zack questioned. “If it makes you feel any better, I think I miss them more than you do.”

Fae had no idea what any of that was, but she trusted Brian. He wouldn’t give her anything she couldn’t handle.

Artemis couldn’t help but laugh. She knew Zack hated her as a boy but him admitting it outloud the way he had was kind of funny to her.

Brian paid for their drinks, quietly beginning to drink his before he looked at Fae to see if she liked hers.

Zack smiled and kissed her lips softly. “What if we can’t get your body back?” he asked curiously, wanting to know what her thoughts were.

Fae sipped her drink, coughing and making a face. “Whoa, that’s different,” she mumbled. She cleared her throat and took a quick swig, ignoring the burn in her throat.

“Then you need to find someone else,” Artemis stated. “I’m not going to force you to fuck me when you like women.”

“Do you like it?”

“I’m not finding anyone else,” Zack said. “You’re my soulmate.”

“It burns,” Fae said. “If it makes me forget everything for a while, then I love it.” She drank more, not taking long to get tipsy.

“You need someone with tits and a vagina not a dick,” Artemis argued.

Brian chuckled when he realized how much of a light weight Fae was.

Zack shook his head. “We can make it work,” he said.

Fae looked at Brian before she burst into a fit of giggles. “What is that look for?” she asked.

“Quit lying to yourself Zack,” Artemis snapped. “You’ve left before so why wouldn’t you if we couldn’t get my body back?”

“You’re really a lightweight,” he chuckled.

“Because I’m not making that mistake again,” Zack insisted.

“Hey, I’ve never drank before,” Fae said. “This is my first time.”

Artemis pressed her lips to Zack’s, hoping he was right and that he wouldn’t abandon her.

“How is that possible,” Brian asked. “You’re dating a jock.”

Zack kissed her back, reaching up and running his fingers through her hair. “What if we found you another female body? As a backup plan?” he asked.

“Was dating a jock,” Fae said. “And just because he was on the football team doesn’t mean he was a stereotypical jock.” She took another sip of her drink, unable to stop herself before letting out a loud burp. She quickly covered her mouth, her cheeks turning bright red as she giggled softly.

“It’s not fair to this body I’m doing this,” Artemis stated. “It wouldn’t be fair to anyone else’s either.”

“He was a drinker,” Brian stated. “It was the one stereotype he followed.”

“Even if they were dead?” Zack asked.

“He didn’t drink much around me,” Fae said. “Probably thought I was too innocent for it.” She scoffed, rolling her eyes before she started chugging the drink in front of her, until she finished it. She slammed the glass down, looking at the bartender. “Give me another.”

“You’d be fucking a dead girl’s body,” Artemis frowned.

“No because he’s always been an angry drunk,” Brian stated. “I was shocked he hadn’t ever hit a woman when he was drunk. A few of them liked to push his buttons.”

Zack frowned. “I guess you’re right,” he said. “I wouldn’t want to do that.” He shook his head. “But it doesn’t matter, okay? We’re going to get your body back.”

Fae raised an eyebrow. She had no idea about any of that. She looked up when a song came on through the speakers that was familiar. “Oh my god, I love this song!” she chirped. She stood up and grabbed his hand. “Dance with me.”

“Okay,” Artemis mumbled. She really hoped they could get her body back.

Brian couldn’t help but laugh but shook his head. “No,” he stated. “I don’t dance not after prom.”

Zack smiled softly at her, kissing her lips again. He reached between them, gently brushing his fingers over the crotch of her jeans.

“Oh, come on,” Fae pouted. “For me?”
