Fae flew into town, shifting back and walking into a drug store. When Fae got back to the cabin, she walked in the front door, shutting it behind her and locking it. She heard Brian in the kitchen, walking in and smiling when she saw him. Brian nodded, giving Fae a small smile so she wouldn’t worry. “I’m fine,” he insisted. “I made us a salad if you’re hungry.” He grabbed his bowl of salad putting some blue cheese dressing on it and quietly began eating it.

Zack smiled as he let her stand under the water, watching it cascade over her body. "Like candy," he said. "Sugary. If I didn't know any better, I'd say you were a diabetic."

Fae set the bag on the counter and made herself a salad, watching him while she ate. "I've never seen Brian Haner speechless," she said. "You always have something to say."

“Diabetics taste sugary,” Artemis asked. She figured that would make sense but at the same time it confused her. Of course she wasn’t a vampire and she had never tasted anything beside cooper when she had accidentally bit her lip before.

Brian rolled his eyes at Fae, knowing she was just trying to keep things light but it was kind of pissing him off. He had fucked up and she was acting like it was no big deal. The demon finished his salad and washed his bowl, quickly moving to watch tv in the living room.

Zack chuckled. "I don't know, your blood is the only human blood I've ever tasted," he said, running his hands down her arms and grabbing her hands. He pulled her towards him, sliding his arms around her waist and smirking as he grabbed her bottom.

Fae frowned and followed Brian. "Brian, what's wrong?" she asked. "You have nothing to worry about." She walked over and moved to straddle his lap, placing her hands on his chest and looking into his eyes. "You didn't do anything wrong. I promised you that you could trust me and I messed up. It wasn't your fault."

“Just drop it,” Brian snapped. “I don’t want to talk about. Just take the pill so we can let it go.” The demon moved away from Fae, hating that he was upset with her because he knew he had no right to snap at her when it was all his fault.

Zack chuckled. "I like all of you," he said. "But yes, I am particularly fond of your butt." He grinned at her, raising his hand and gently smacking her bottom. He used his free hand to move down between her thighs, running his fingertips over her slit. "So wet already."

Brian ran his hands through his hair, cursing under his breath before he finally lost his temper with himself and threw a nearby chair against the wall. He watched the chair shatter into pieces before he wrote Fae a quick note saying he was going for a walk and left the cabin.
