Jimmy slowly moved off of Fae, panting softly as he removed the condom and tied the end. “Let me get rid of this,” he mumbled. He got up and tossed it on the trashcan in the room before he laid down besides the blonde in bed. He gave her a genuine smile, pecking her lips again before he rested his head on the pillow besides her. “I’m glad you bumped into us,” he stated. “You aren’t like everyone else.”

“I think I suck ass but Apollo always told me I was good and only kept getting better with practice.” The brunette began tracing the lines on Johnny’s palm let out a humorless laugh when she did. “He’d be so pissed if he knew I haven’t picked it up in weeks but it hurts to play without him.” She knew she was being overly emotional and she was sure even Jimmy would find a way to shut her up at this point. Artemis was just grateful she could talk to someone besides Jimmy now. She felt like she always unloaded all of her problems on him.

Johnny nodded his head. “I understand,” he said. He could only imagine how hard it was to have someone you love out there, missing. Death was one thing, but it was absolute. Not knowing where someone was, and if they were okay or not, was worse, in his opinion. “Well, if you ever do feel like playing, I wouldn’t mind helping you out. I mean, I’m not the best, obviously, but Brian tells me I’m pretty good. And he’s amazing at guitar, so I usually take his word for it.”

Fae smiled at Jimmy’s words, rolling onto her side and gently resting her head on his chest. She wrapped her arm around his middle, getting comfortable against his side. “I’m glad I bumped into you too,” she murmured. “I wish this had been my first time. You were really amazing, Jimmy.” She pressed a soft kiss to his chest, gently tracing her fingers in little patterns over his side.

Jimmy smiled as he ran his fingers through Fae’s hair, finding himself comfortable and content in a way he hadn’t been in a long time. Maybe all he had needed was Fae. Of course Artemis would always be important to him but maybe his fear of losing her because she was human had been weighing on him more then he had originally thought. “If I ever meet your ex I’m kicking his ass,” Jimmy stated.

“Guitar players are so overrated,” Artemis replied. “They always get so cocky.” She gave Johnny a small smile as she pecked his lips again, blushing as she pulled away. “I like kissing you a lot,” she admitted. “It makes me feel calm and happy.”

Johnny chuckled. “Tell that to Brian, he’ll be offended as hell,” he joked. But she was right, though. Brian was cocky and thought he was hot shit. He would say all the girls at school wanted him. And to be honest, he was probably right. He smiled, being pulled from his thoughts when Artemis kissed him again. He kissed her back, looking at her and nodding in agreement. “Kissing is nice. I thought it would be gross, but it’s not that bad.”

Fae bit her lip softly. She hadn’t told anybody about what she had experienced, but she felt like she could trust Jimmy. And honestly, she wanted to get it off her chest. “I thought he was amazing at first,” she admitted. “He seemed so kind and so genuine. But after we had sex, things started to change. He became more distant, but also more controlling at the same time. He didn’t want me doing certain things or talking to certain people. I asked him what was going on, and he said he would show me. He took me to this abandoned house where a huge group of people were dressed in black robes. They were standing around this girl, who was laying naked on a table. She was crying and begging for help. I thought maybe it was some kind of prank or show or something. But then one of the guys got on the table and started raping her. I tried to stop it, but he grabbed me and forced me to watch. Whenever I closed my eyes, he would twist my arm until it nearly broke. It was some kind of cult. He wanted me to join, but I wanted no part of it. After that, I broke up with him. He told me if I ever told anyone else, he’d have me killed.”

Jimmy frowned as he listened to Fae talk. He definitely wanted to rip her ex apart and beat him with the limbs after he ripped them off. That was of course until she mentioned what sounded like some sort of cult. Now he definitely knew he needed he not only needed to kill the guy but keep her safe at all costs. “Was he a fairy too,” he asked.

“Can we go back to my place and kiss more,” Artemis asked. She knew it was a big step to ask Johnny that. Especially since she was partly expecting them kissing in her bedroom to possibly lead to more. “I mean if you’re okay with that.”

Johnny chuckled, biting his lip and nodding his head. “Yeah,” he said. “I’d like that.” He smiled and stood up, reaching for her hand and helping her up. He began walking back towards her house with her, thinking to himself. “Should we maybe call Zack and tell him we’re not going to be at the park anymore?”

Fae shook her head. “No, he’s a shape shifter,” she said. “He already has another girlfriend. I thought about warning her, but I was afraid she’d tell him, and then he’d come after me. If I died, my parents would be completely devastated, and I can’t risk my life like that.” She sighed, gently tracing her finger over his stomach. “You won’t tell anyone, right? I don’t want you to get hurt.”

“I’ll be fine,” Jimmy insisted. “I’m more worried about you.” He knew some shapeshifters and demons were parts of dark cults like what Fae had described but he never expected he’d meet someone who experienced and suffered because of one first hand. “If we tell the cops they can make them suffer and punish them,” he stated. “But if you don’t want to I won’t force you to.”

Artemis nodded. She pulled her phone out of her pocket and text Zack they were heading back to her place. Once she did she shoved her phone back into her pocket and held Johnny’s hand. “Do you think Brian would hate me if we kept this up,” she asked. “I don’t want your friend upset with me because I like you.”

Johnny shook his head. “He’s protective of me, but honestly, I think he’s been waiting for the day when a girl finally likes me,” he joked, but was also kind of serious at the same time. “I think he’d be a bit wary, but he wouldn’t hate you. He’s kind of protective of me like Jimmy is of you. But maybe only like, two-thirds as much.”

Fae bit her lip. “If the cops weren’t even concerned about Apollo disappearing, I doubt they’d be concerned about a cult,” she mumbled. “I mean, we could try. But if they didn’t do anything about it and word got out, I’d be afraid Trevor would come after me, or you.” She sat up, looking down at him. “You don’t need to get involved in something like that. I’d be afraid you’d end up dead. Artemis doesn’t need that right now.” She reached up and gently brushed her fingers through his hair.

“A cult with shapeshifters is different than a lost human,” Jimmy argued . He knew it was a messed up point to being up but what Artemis said was true. The police didn’t care about humans. They considered them less than even the animals they are for food. “I promise I can keep us both safe,” he stated. “But if you decided not to say anything no one would blame you.”

“Jimmy is just Jimmy,” Artemis replied. “I don’t honestly know why he’s so protective. He just is.” She bit down on her bottom lip, giving his hand a light squeeze as she began to think about just how protective Jimmy was of her. “Maybe it’s because I’m a girl.” She was used to people human and supernatural beings alike assuming because she was a girl she was weak.

Johnny shook his head. “I think it’s just because like Apollo was to you, you are to Jimmy,” he said. “If that makes any sense. Imagine how hurt you are that you lost your brother. Jimmy would feel the same way if he lost you. I mean, he’s the only merman at school. He doesn’t really have anyone else. But you’re there for him and you love him like a brother. You’re like family to him. It makes sense.” When they approached her house, he stepped in front of her and opened the front door, smiling softly.

Fae thought about it for a few more minutes before slowly nodding her head. “Okay,” she mumbled. “I’ll tell the police. Just promise me you’ll be careful.” She would feel insanely guilty if Jimmy ended up hurt because of her. She knew he said he could protect them both, and she believed him, but nothing was more dangerous than a group of angry cult members. She took his hand in hers, squeezing it and bringing it up to her lips, kissing each of his knuckles.

“I promise,” Jimmy stated. He pecked her lips, happy she was going to go to the police. He meant what he said about respecting her choice but he would have secretly bugged her until she went to the police. “Do you want to tell anyone else in the group,” he asked. “Or keep the cult thing between us.” He knew if they went to cops the cult may go after more than just him and her if they cult knew but he also didn’t want to say anything and have it spread like wildfire. He didn’t know Matt, Brian, Zack or Johnny well enough to know if they’d keep quiet like he knew Artemis would.

Artemis nodded. “We kind of became like the three musketeers for a while,” she smiled. “It was really fun.” Of course she and Jimmy tended to be more quiet while her brother somehow seemed to always get them in some sort of trouble and she never understood how he did. “Apollo would always get us into trouble and I’d always have to talk us out of it,” she laughed.

Johnny smiled. “That sounds like you guys had a lot of fun,” he said, shutting the front door behind her once she walked in. “Did it affect Jimmy as much as it did you?” Maybe that wasn’t a nice question to ask, but he was just genuinely curious. He wondered if Jimmy had been as close with Apollo as he had been with Artemis.

Fae shook her head. “Unless things get out of hand, I think we should keep it to ourselves,” she said. “I don’t want anyone else to get involved.” She jumped slightly when she heard the front door open. “Oh crap. We should get dressed.” She quickly moved off the bed and started to dress herself, afraid Artemis would catch them and be upset.

Jimmy scrambled to pull his clothes on, knowing Artemis would be pissed if she ever found out he and Fae had sex in her brother’s room. He quickly got his clothes on and made the bed once Fae was out of it and completely dressed. He pecked her lips, giving her a small smile before he began pretending to be looking through Apollo’s stuff.

“He never really talks about it,” Artemis mumbled. “But he doesn’t really like talking about his emotions with me.” She walked upstairs, glancing into her brither’s took to see Jimmy and Fae still looking through her brother’s things. “If you guys haven’t found anything yet you can stop,” she mumbled. “Johnny and I are going to go talk in my room.” She grabbed Johnny’s hand and quickly lead him to her room and closed the door before Jimmy could say anything.

Johnny followed Artemis into her room, looking around. "Your room is really nice," he said. He sat down on the edge of her bed, watching her. He felt kind of awkward. This was the first time he'd ever been in a girl's room before.

Fae blushed slightly and smiled, going over to look in the closet. She looked through some of the things, glancing over when she heard Artemis's voice. "Alright," she mumbled. She took Jimmy's hand and led him downstairs, letting out a breath. "That was close."

Jimmy nodded in agreement when Fae said it was close. He knew Artemis would have been pissed of she had caught them. He followed her downstairs, noticing the brunette had closed her door before he followed Fae. “Do you think she’s actually going to sleep with him,” he asked. He didn’t mean to sound so jealous because he wasn’t. He had a feeling of she slept with Johnny he would leave her hurt and upset.

Artemis smiled when Johnny complimented her room. She sat down besides him on her bed and pecked his lips. “Thank you.” The brunette moved one of her hands to cup Johnny’s face in her hands and pressed her lips to his. She didn’t know of things would escalate but if she was being honest with herself she wouldn’t mind if they did. She trusted Johnny.

Johnny kissed her back gently, just deciding to let her lead the situation. He didn’t want to do something to upset her, so he just thought it was best if she was in control.

Fae looked up at Jimmy and bit her lip hard. “Do you care if she does?” she asked softly. “I don’t think Johnny is the type to love ‘em and leave ‘em.” She sat down on the couch, reaching up and attempting to fix her hair so it didn’t look like she’d just had sex. “I mean, it’s her decision. And you can’t really knock her for having sex since you just did.”

“She’s a virgin,” Jimmy replied. “I don’t want her doing something she’ll regret especially when his friend is the one night stand type.” Of course the merman didn’t know for sure if Johnny was the same way he but he definitely didn’t trust him. He could only give Johnny a slight benefit of the doubt since his only friend up until Artemis has decided they were all going to be friends was a demon.

Artemis hesitated a few moments before she moved her body so she was straddling his waist. She deepened the kiss, moaning out softly as she did. She was enjoying what she was doing so far and she honestly hoped Hohnny could say the same. She didn’t want him uncomfortable with anything they did especially if this was a brand new experience for them both.

Johnny let out a soft noise of approval when she moved to straddle him, gently reaching up to place his hands on her hips. He kissed her passionately, his hands slowly moving up until his fingertips were grazing over the skin just under the hem of her shirt.

Fae frowned, but didn't say anything, not wanting to argue with him. She thought it was sweet that he cared so much for Artemis, but at the same time it came off as kind of jealous. It made her feel like what they had just done together meant nothing.

“I know I seem to be way too protective of her but I can’t help it,” Jimmy mumbled. “Something inside me just wants to make sure she stays innocent for a long time.” He didn’t know why he felt the way he did and a part of him felt silly for it but his gut feelings had never been wrong before.

Artemis moaned out slightly louder, blushing as she did. She moved her lips away from Johnny’s and began pressing kisses all over his neck before she began nipping and sucking on the skin near his adam’s Apple. The brunette honestly didn’t know what she was doing and hoped what she was doing was right because she was beyond clueless on anything that really involved sexual or anything similar to sex like making out.

Johnny moaned softly, biting his lip hard. “I-I’m afraid things will go too far,” he admitted after a moment, his cheeks burning dark pink. “I don’t want things to go too far, you know.”

Fae looked up at him and frowned. “Innocence isn’t always a good thing,” she said. “You keep her innocent for so long, when she gets exposed to the real world, it’ll be too overwhelming for her. Besides, she’s lost her brother. All innocence she had is gone now.”
