It had been a busy morning for everyone at Seattle Grace. It seemed every OR had been crazy booked that morning between scheduled and non-scheduled surgeries. But the surgical floor wasn't the only place busy. The ER was busy as well, being filled with broken bones, vomiting patients, and emergency surgeries. This was the life of any doctor or nurse and when days like this took place, each and every one of these doctors or nurses, or hospital staff was reminded of why they do what they do.
On a slow day, Dr. Mark Sloan had his days booked and filled with woman wanting to look younger, or young girls wanting certain areas of their body to be bigger. However, on days like this he focus was different. With there being a horrible fire, today's focus for the Plastic Surgeon was going to be on the Burn Victims. Some victims not as bad as others, however, they still had wounds to attend to. Once the hospital staff that he assigned help him get all the burn victims tended to, Mark knew that this day was not over. Even though he had seen the all the victims, it was now time to see how many of these victims needed surgery. Realizing he was going to need to see which Surgical Residents were available to help him, or better yet, which ones hadn't been snagged yet for the day. When Mark got to where the lounge where the Residents where that morning, He nodded to each of them, carefully studying their faces. "Before I pick, is there anyone in particular who would like to work with me today in Plastics? As you knew, you have some several burn patients and it looks like we're going to be in surgery with a couple of these patents today. It really depends how things go." He said as he eyed each of the residents, already having his mind made up on who he wanted.
When Gabby got paged that early morning to come in, she knew something was up. She had got out of bed, quickly getting ready and without any hesitation, she slipped into a pair of scrubs. After she was completely ready, which only took her 15 minutes, she rushed to Seattle Grace. As she walked through the door, she could already tell that it was going to be a crazy day. Walking into the Surgical Resident Lounge, Gabby gave a sweet good morning to everyone before putting her things into her cubby. Knowing who she was going to be with today, Gabby smiled at her friends, wishing them each a good day before making her way down to the Cafeteria. She got herself two cups of coffee before making her way to a certain doctor's office space. When she got there, Gabby gently tapped on the door and smiled when she heard someone tell her to come in. "Good Morning." She said with a bright smile. "I have your usual, Doctor." She said, placing it on his desk, then waited to see what he was going to tell her.
