Smiling as Gabby got into the back seat with Derek, she slowly laid down. Watching as Derek slowly laid onto of her, she began to kiss him deeply, her hands began to fumble with the buttons his shirt. Smiling at her, Derek slid the ring on her finger. He leaned in kissing her lips deeply and holding her closely. He pulled back smiling at her, "You had me scared for a minute." Derek smiled cupping her cheeks. "I love you so much, too Gabby." He whispered smiling at her admiring her.

"I have one more surprise." He got up and helped her up smiling. "This spot is where our dream home is going to be built. I have contractors coming in tomorrow morning to begin." Derek smiled at her.

Emily smiled at Mark, "I know she'll say yes." Emily giggled. "They love each other like we do." Emily smiled kissing his lips lightly. She heard her phone go off and saw it was the hospital calling the interns in they needed extra help. "I have to go to the hospital." She told him getting up and kissing his lips. She got dressed quickly and pulled her hair into a pony tail. "I'll talk to you later." She kissed Mark one more time disappearing and heading for the hospital.

Gabby kissed Derek once again. She was truly excited about this and really couldn't believe that this had happened. When Derek told her that he had another surprise for her, Gabby got up and couldn't help but smile when Derek smiled. She could feel his excitement and joy over this next surprise practically bouncing off of him, so she knew that this had to be a good one. Hearing the words that Derek next said almost made Gabby want to faint. She felt like she was dreaming and that she would be waking up at any moment. "Oh Derek." She said as she held back tears.

Moving herself a little closer to him once again, she wrapped her petite arms around his neck, pulling their bodies closer together. "How did I get so lucky?" She whispered before kissing him deeply on the lips. "Thank you for all of this." She said, still kissing him.

Mark looked to Emily and nodded, "I'm hoping that she will." He looked to her and then her phone when he heard it go off. Without even having to ask, he knew that meant that she had to go to the hospital. Frowning a little on the inside, Mark kept a small smile on his face He knew that he was just being selfish right now, and that she had a job to do. However, he felt like they could have asked for another intern and just let Emily be at home to celebrate more with him...however, this was all a part of the job - the job that he knew so well. "Alright baby." He said as he reached up and kissed her once more before letting her leave. "Please text me when you get to the hospital, and if you're having to stay all night, please let me know that as well." He said.

Smiling he held her close. "I ask myself how I got so lucky with you." He smiled kissing her lips lightly. He kept her close and smiled admiring her. "Let's head home and get some rest before tomorrow." Derek smiled to her.

Emily smiled at him nodding her head, "I promise, I will." Emily told him disappearing and going to the hospital to do her job.

Gabby smiled sweetly as she nodded about going home to get some rest. "That sounds like a wonderful idea." She leaned in and kissed him softly on the lips. 'Lets go home." She said as she walked back to the car. When she got into the car, Gabby looked down at the ring and just smiled. She was really in love with Derek and couldn't believe that he actually proposed.

Mark sat in the bed, grabbing his phone off the dresser next to him. He decided to text Derek and see how things went. Well...did she say yes??. He text him before getting out of the bed. He slipped out of bed, putting on his pants and moving his way into the kitchen to get a drink, still waiting for Derek to text him back

Once they were home Derek walked with Gabby upstairs. He slipped out of the suit and tossed it into the dirty laundry bin. He took and smiled at her. He got into his tee and pajama pants. He walked out seeing his phone light up. He saw the message from Mark and chuckled. Yes, I did. She said yes. Everything is finally falling into place. So when are you going to ask Em? Derek laid his phone on the nightstand laying in the bed and pulling a book out and began reading it.

Once she was at the hospital. She took and went to do what she had to do helping out. She took and began working forgetting to text Mark. She helped to save a child's leg as she rushed them into the OR with Callie so they could begin working on the child to save it.

When they got home, Gabby went into the bathroom to take a shower. She stripped out of her clothing before stepping into the warm shower. She looked down at her hand and smiled as she stared at the ring. She truly couldn’t believe that Derek had proposed, and she was truly not expecting it, but was so thrilled that it happened. She quickly showered and then stepped out, wrapping a towel around her petite towel before putting her hair up in a towel as well. She then stepped out of the bathroom. She smiled as she found Derek sitting on the bed reading. “What a sight to walk in on.” She giggled.

Mark read the text and just shook his head. He knew he had to figure that out, when to propose to Emily. He wasn’t going to text Derek back yet since he didn’t have an answer yet. He noticed that Emily hadn’t text him yet. Hey babe. Just wanting to check and make sure you’re doing good. he smiled and then sent another text, And I love you. Don’t work too hard. See you when you come home.

Derek laughed shaking his head, "You know me." Derek told her and smiled. "What a sight for me to look up from my book to you. Babe." Derek grinned laying his book down as he got up and walked over to her. Slipping his arm around her waist he grinned at her kissing her lips lightly.

Once she'd finished up. Emily took and grabbed her phone seeing the two text's from Mark. She frowned forgetting to text him. I'm ok. Just a very rough start coming in. I love you too. See you when I get home, if I get to get back before you leave for your shift baby.

Gabby laughed lightly as Derek moved closer to her before kissing her softly on the lips. She smiled a little into their kiss, slowly pushing him back towards their bed, not daring to break their passionate kiss. "Derek, you have made me the luckiest woman in the entire world." She whispered as she finally pulled away. "Thank you for that." She giggled before stepping away from him to go get dressed. Just staying in her towel a few extra minutes after getting out of the hot-steamy bathroom caused Gabby to get the goosebumps. As she stood there, wrapped tightly in the towel, Gabby started to pull out fresh pajamas from her drawer. She slipped on a light pink long-sleeved pajama set. Once she was slipped on a pair of white laced panties, Gabby stepped into the pink pajama bottoms then pulled on the stop, buttoning up the top's buttons.

She walked over to the bed, smiling at Derek once more. "Shall we go to bed?" She laughed lightly as she climbed onto Derek's lap.

Mark had been consumed into some TV show he was watching when he heard his phone go off. He knew right away that it had to be a text from Emily. Seeing that he was right, Mark picked up his phone, reading over the text that his darling girlfriend sent him. He couldn't help but frown a little when she told him that it was very rough starting in with her shift. That frown wiped of his face though as he continued to read the text. He truly did love her, and he was just so happy (and lucky) that he found someone like Emily who loved him back just as much. Looking over at the clock, He counted the hours till he would see her again then looked back to his phone to reply. I look forward to getting my morning kiss. Hope your shift gets better. He quickly typed across the phone before hitting the send button.

Derek smirked at Gabby, "I suppose you're right." He told her leaning over and turning his lamp off. He slipped back into the bed and covered up. He rolled over putting his arm around Gabby kissing her neck. "I love you, Gabby." He whispered against her neck before letting his eyes fall shut as he slipped into a peaceful sleep.

Emily smiled at the message. She heard another trauma coming in. She slipped her phone into her pocket and went to wait with Callie and the others. She took and saw the doors open to the ambulance as she helped them get the teenager off and into the ER. She took and began assisting in any way she could. She would be glad when her residency was over. She only had a few more months into the year, along with Gabby. Doing what she needed on her patient she got the nurse to do the IV line as she began checking over everything. "Prep me an OR now. He needs surgery. Collapsed lung, and broken knee. I need Callie on this." Emily told them.

Gabby smiled, slipping under the covers to get warm. When she felt Derek get back under the covers, she smiled, leaning closer up against him. "I love you, Derek." She whispered back as she closed her eyes, her skin covering with goosebumps as he kissed her neck. She turned her head to him for a quick minute, placed a kiss on his lips, then turned back to fall asleep. She had fallen into a peaceful sleep, really content about everything that happened that day.

Mark had managed to stay up a little bit longer before deciding to go to sleep. Curling up under the covers, Mark sighed softly as it hit him that he was going to bed for the first time, in a long time, alone. Yes, he knew with the jobs of being doctors, that he and Emily wouldn't always have the same schedule; however, it just made him think how it sucks. He slowly drifted to sleep. He ended up sleeping through the night until his alarm clock went off the next morning.

The next morning, Derek was up and had the coffee ready. He took and was dressed for the day as well. Getting him a cup of coffee poured. He took and walked into the den waiting on Gabby to come down so they could leave and head to work for their day. He took and stretched a little more as he drank the coffee, sighing to himself.

Yawning as she took the cup of coffee from Alex. She smiled at him sitting down in the on call room wore out. She was so ready for some sleep, knowing that she had to take and be up the rest of the day for her normal shift. She sat the coffee down, and curled up on the on call bed as she took and drifted off to sleep.
