Truly & Only

She smiled sheepishly as she'd never actually been to one before, "I'll do my best, sir," she said to him then sighed a little before walking out of the office.

He smiled a little, "Its nice," he said to her as he looked at it.

She smiled a little. "Were you interested in buying?" She asked curiously. "Some of these aren't super ridiculous in price," She laughed a little as she lead him around.

He nodded and sighed, unbuttoning his jacket. "Also, for tomorrow. Take my car to the dealership for its monthly check up."'

He chuckled, "I don't know if I have the space for another piece," he admitted lightly, "but I'll think about it,"

"Yes sir," she said as she looked at him then walked out of the office and set her things on her desk before letting out a sigh.

She smiled a little. "Well, we're expecting an art show soon, maybe if you wanted you could come, and I can show you more pieces then?" She offered, smiling as they kept walking.

He nodded a little before looking at the clock and sighing. It was almost time to leave but he had a few things he wanted to finish. "When is that spreadsheet coming in?" He asked her, packing up his breifcase.

He nodded a little, "I'll come," he said to her, "Just tell me when," he said to her with a shrug then looked around.

She sighed looking at her watch ,"It should be in soon," she said lightly, " they told me it'd be in before hours end," she told him lightly hoping they wouldn't make her out to be a liar.

"This saturday," She smiled a little. "I can text you about it to remind you before hand," She smiled a little. "Then we can meet somewhere?"

He nodded. "Put pressure on if need be, I want this finished. It's gone on for too long."

She nodded ,"Yes sir, I'll do that now - do you need me to prepare anything for tomorrow before I leave tonight; I need to finish organizing some stuff anyway," she said to him as she went to the sink on the far side of the room to rinse the coffee pot and wash it.

He nodded a little, "You've got my number don;t you?" he asked as he reached into his pocket to fish his phone out.

She shook her head. "No, I don't." She smiled. "Must have forgotten to ask for it that day," She said, opening her phone and handing it to him. "You can call me though, before Saturday, I mean. If you want to."

"No, that is all for today. Just get that spreadsheet taken care of by today. I need it done by tonight." He said, picking up his breifcase. "Inform me when it's done."

She nodded, "Yes sir, I'll text you when its done," she said to him then set the coffee pot to the side for the next day. "

He nodded a little as he took it and entered his number into it, "There," he smiled a little. "We're all set then,"

She smiled a little, taking her phone back and putting it into her pocket. "Then I'll see you soon?" She asked, adding her number to his and handing it back.

He nodded a little. "Alright then, tomorrow. Have a good night." He said, walking out toward the elevator.

He nodded, "Soon, I'll try to get into contact sooner hopefully, what should I wear?" he asked her curiously.

"A suit, but nothing too fancy. I'll put your name on so you shouldn't have any issues getting in, just come find me when you do." She smiled a little.

Miri walked out of the gala, heading down the street for her lunch break. She smiled a little when she saw Joon over by the curb. "You have business on this side of town?" She asked curiously, walking over to him. "How has your day been?" She asked him, walking over to his car.

He looked over his shoulder at her then at his watch, "Yeah I'm waiting on someone," he said then wet his lips - this wasn't a good time but he didn't know how to say it, he could see the others coming and he looked to her, "I'll see you on saturday? right?"

Layla sighed as she walked into work a bit early she started the coffee and began to get his schedules ready for the day - she'd take his car to be inspected then come back before lunch once he got there. She set a file with some info in it on his desk, all the important parts highlighted and marked with post it notes.

She smiled a little, noticing he looked a little off. "Yeah, saturday. Everything alright?" She asked softly, noticing how fidgety he looked.

He dialed Layla, using his speakerphone as he rushed t get ready. "Layla, where are you? I'm sending a car to you immediately," He said, sliding on his shoes and heading out to his car. "Urgent shareholders meeting in London, and I want you on that plane as well."

She picked up the phone and gaped a little, "Oh... oh okay uhm I'll be there as soon as possible," she said as she turned off the coffee pot then chewed on her bottom lip, "I'll need to stop by my apartment first, to grab a few things,"

He nodded a little then smiled weakly,"I'm fine, I'll talk to you then I have to get to work," he said as he adjusted his jacket then walked over to the guys approaching them, "We're set? Did he get his notice?" he asked them.

"No need I'll send a car. The plane leaves in an hour, is it something you absolutely need? I can buy anything that's necessary," He sighed.

She watched as he walked away, as men in dark clothing approached him. She figured he was busy, but she'd see him later. She had a feeling of worry but decided she'd worry about it another time.

"I kind of need my passport," she said to him, "It will take me five seconds to grab it," she said as she took the stairs down to the parking lot and climbed into the car that was waiting for her.

He sighed. "Alright, I'll delay take off. Get there as soon as possible, Organize two rental when we arrive." He said, hanging up the phone as he drove to the airport.

Miri stood over by the portraits, greeting and answering any questions about the pictures. She looked up as she saw Joon walking over towards her, excusing herself, and meeting him halfway. "You came."

Layla got her passport and a hoodie, packing very minimal things in order to get there quickly. She ran to the car and hopped back in then sighed. Impromptu trips weren't something she expected, luckily she even had a passport.

He looked at her and smiled, "OF course I did," he chuckled, "I promised I would,"
