Butch frowned and slapped her again. "You ever run again and I will cut your hand off." He said. He shoved her into a guy, "Take care of her." He said. He smirked as he watched the guy slap her.

Makenna looked at her, "You guys do that all the time?" She asked. She bit her bottom lip lightly, "So where am I sleeping?" She asked. She really didn't feel like watching the girl get the shit beat out of her. She finished her drink, "Lead the way." She said.

Claire heard his words and frowned when she was shoved into someone. Feeling him slap her, she tasted blood in her mouth and turned around spitting in his face. She was then slammed into the wall, her head making a sickening hit when it hit the concrete. She winced feeling everything go blurry and then dark as she slowly passed out.

Raine watched the scene before turning away knowing what was going to come. "Not normally." He told her. "Usually it's other guys." He told her before standing up. "Alright. Thanks Marge." He gave her a sweet smile before grabbing his jacket. He lead the way up the stairs all the way up four flights of stairs. He laughed hearing her puffing. "It's on this floor." He assured her.

Butch left Claire lay there and went back to his room. He was never going to let her escape. He had the guys tie her up, so she wouldnt escape when she woke up.

Makenna smiled at him once they got to the floor. "next time remind me not to drink so much before this walk." She said. She watched as he opened the door. She was surprised that he was actually letting her stay. Makenna looked at him, "Oh by the way here's your watch." She said, tossing it to him. She laughed softly as he looked at his bare wrist.

Claire awoke in the middle of the night a small groan coming out. Her lips were chapped, and her bottom lip was busted with dried blood on her chin. She looked around and frowned wincing at her cheek knowing she had a bruise there. She sighed still tasting blood. She was sure there was dried blood on her head. She sniffled looking around seeing no one and felt the tears fall finally.

Raine laughed and said, "You'll get used to it i'm sure." He told her. He opened his guest room, which was extremely well kept, with new curtains a lovely comforter on a queen sized bed along with new looking furniture. He kept this room well managed since he didn't know who or if he'd ever let someone stay here. Hearing her, he tossed it back. "Keep it. You can get a lot of money for it. I stole it from someone else." He told her shrugged before turning and going straight across from her and opened his own room. "This is my room." He told her. "If you need or want something just knock I guess. I might wake up." He gave a grin before going inside.

Alex walked out the next morning, seeing Claire sitting in her chair. "Heard you tried to run away?" He said, chuckling. He looked her over, "Butch really kicked your ass." He said.

Makenna held the watch, "No problem." She said. Makenna walked into the guest room, sitting on the bed. She knew she couldnt stay long. She really had to make some money.

Once Claire was finished she popped her neck and back gently. She heard Alex and just rolled her eyes. "Yeah. He did. So what?" She asked turning her blazing eyes to Alex. The last thing she needed or wanted right now was someone telling her how bad she looked. Her beautiful silver hair hung around her shoulders flowing with the wind lightly.

Raine waved. He stripped as soon as he was in his room. He sighed stretching before getting into the shower. He had his hands on either side of the wall as he let the water run over his back. He finished up and laid down in his bed looking at the ceiling. He could already tell it was going to be a sleepless night.

Alex slammed his hands on the chair, chuckling as she flinched. "You should really drop this whole badass attitude. It's not working for you." He said, stepping back. He walked back to the kitchen to grab food.

The next morning Makenna walked out of the room quietly and stopped when she seen the girl from.the night before. She walked over to her when the girl asked her to untie her. "Sorry I am not getting on their bad side." She said, taking the girls diamond bracelet and rings. "Sorry." She said before walking off and out the door.

Alex laughed as he as he walked out after seeing the girl take Claires stuff. He looked over as Raine walked out, "Yo your girl just swiped all her jewelry." He said laughing.

Claire felt him slam his hands on her chair and flinched at the suddeness. She looked up at him and said, "It's not an act. You do know who my father was right?" She asked him feeling a pang in her chest missing him. She shook her head and sighed and said, "Just leave me alone." She looked at the ceiling. "Your smart ass comments aren't going to help me, so just leave them." She saw Makenna and asked her for help. She took her jewelry. She saw her take the necklace her father had given her. "GIVE IT BACK." She said unable to control the anger. "Take the rest, I don't care, bring that one back." She said her voice in a deadpan. It was a locket and had a picture of her and her father in it.

Raine came downstairs and blinked hearing Alex. He saw Claire and raised an eyebrow almost surprised by the commanding voice she had when he saw Makenna take her necklace. He was more surprised by the murderous look on her face, than anything else. He glanced at Alex and said, "What happened? Why is she so pissed?" he didn't care, but more than anything he was curious.

Makenna stared at the girl for a moment before she walked out anyway. She was gone before anyone could catch her. The first place she headed to was the pawn shop. She needed some cash so she could get the hell out of the town. Makenna looked at the jewelry in her hands, smirking as she walked inside of the pawn shop.

Alex looked at her, "Your girl stole her shit." He said, laughing. He sat in the chair, "By they way she left, i'm guessing you pissed her off?" He asked. It wasn't uncommon for Raine to have girls leave in a rage. Though Makenna didn't seem mad. She seemed like she was on a mission. Alex rolled his eyes as Claire kept complaining, "Oh get over it. It's just a dumb necklace." He said.

Raine blinked raising an eyebrow. "She's not my girl, and I haven't spoken to her. What she does is her business." He replied before going into the kitchen. He paused hearing Claire, but simply shook his head knowing that it was none of his business. He got some food before heading out knowing he had a job to do.

Claire watched her walk out and frowned before hearing Alex. She turned her head to him seething. "Shut up! It's not just a necklace dick face!" She shook her head and nearly spat the words to him the amount of venom in her words matched her face. "You don't know anything about the necklace. So don't tell it's fucking stupid." Her dad had given her that necklace, saying it had been his mothers and it was his most precious item besides his family. She shook her head once more feeling like throwing something. She looked at the ground her hands gripping the chair handles tightly, turning her knuckles white as she felt the tears start to come into her eyes again. It was the last thing her father had ever given her.

Makenna walked back to her car, thinking about Raine. She had enjoyed her time with him and if she wasn't one that feared commitments she would have been all over him. She bit her bottom lip lightly as she unlocked her car. Makenna got in, starting it up. She rolled her eyes when she seen a familiar motorcycle pull up behind her. She sighed, leaning back against her seat.

Alex looked at her, seeing her get all teary eyed, "Why the fuck are you crying?" He asked. He walked over to her, smacking her in the head, but not to hard, "Stop it." He said. He didn't like emotions, they freaked him out. Alex stared at her, not sure what to say to her. "Just stop crying it's weird." He said before walking to get a beer.

Raine got onto his bike thinking about things. He popped his neck before starting his cycle, smirking when he heard his beauty roar to life. He nodded happily. He clicked the kickstand back and revved it before pulling off. He ended up behind Makenna and smirked seeing that she hadn't left yet. He revved his engine in greeting knowing he had work to do, but she interested him.

Claire heard her and shook her head before feeling him smack her in the head. "Bite me!" She said fiercy swiveling her head to look at him tears streaming down her face. "You have no idea the importance of that necklace or what it means!" She frowned looking at the floor. "It was the last thing my dad gave me before he died." She bit down on her lip shaking her head. "It was the only thing I had left." She sniffed before shaking her head. "It's not weird to be upset about something like that." She snapped unable to control herself.

Makenna sighed and got out of the car, walking over to him, "What do you want?" She asked as he turned his engine off. She crossed her arms, rolling her eyes when he mentioned the necklace. "Oh yea here it is." She said, holding up a hundred dollar bill, "It takes up less room this way don't you think?" She said, laughing softly. "Are we done here?" She asked. Makenna was sadly soulless like Rain and all the guys he knew. The streets had not been kind to her.

Alex looked at her, "You been before he was killed by my boss?" He asked, chuckling. "Your dad was a lying asshole. He lied about everything he did that is why my boss quit being his business partner." He said, staring at her. He was surprised that she was shocked at what he said.

Raine smirked seeing her get out of the car as he let the engine stop. He asked about the necklace and raised an eyebrow and shrugged and said, "I suppose so." He told her. "You ran off without saying bye. I'm a little hurt." He teased giving her puppy dog eyes before raising an eyebrow at her. He leaned back on his bike tilting his head as he watched her. "I guess. Your choice." He shrugged putting his sunglasses on and started his engine again. He wasn't going to fight someone that clearly didn't want anything to do with him.

Claire looked up at him and said, "He wasn't perfect." She was surprised but shook her head. "It doesn't really matter what he did now, does it? Despite what the fuck you've heard or whatever, he was still my dad and he took care of family. Family matters. It may of been the only thing he did well in life, but he did right by his children." She spat at him. She shook her head wishing she could just wipe away the tears, but they were still falling at the memory of her father's necklace gone forever. She glared up at him the bruises on her eyes shimmering from her tears.

Makenna smiled when he mentioned being hurt by her not saying goodbye. "Well you were sleeping and I didn't want to be rude." She said, looking up at him. She watched as he put his sunglasses on, thinking about what he said. If he left then she would probably never see him again. She knew it was for the best, but she also was curious about him. "Wait." She said, touching his arm. She watched as he looked at her, "You never took me for a ride on your bike." She said, seeing the smirk creep onto his lips.

Alex rolled his eyes, "If he did right by you then you wouldn't be here right now." He said as he moved over to her. "If he did things right your idiot brother wouldn't be leading a gang. He had no idea what he is doing and he is going to be the next one dead in your family. Unless you beat him to it of course." He said, smirking as he looked down at her.

Raine laughed hearing her and shrugged. "I don't sleep well. I was probably just watching movies or some shit." He was about to rev his engine when he heard her and raised an eyebrow turning to look at her. Feeling her touch his arm he laughed shaking his head. "I never said I would." He thought about it and said, "I've got to do some business at the docks, but i'll give you a ride there and then after I'll just drive you around a bit. Hop on." He said nodding his head towards behind him a smirk growing onto his lips.

Claire rolled her own eyes and said, "Of course he doesn't." She shook her head before looking at him. "If I beat it to him, then shit happens. But don't talk shit about my dad. Ben is an idiot, I'll give him that." She told him. She shook her head once more laughing. "Just leave me alone. You have no right to judge him or me." She looked at her feet feeling more tears come down. It hadn't even been six months and all of her emotions were coming back to her feeling her grief. "Just leave me alone." She whispered a little defeated. Glancing up, her eyes were electric blue pools of tears. She shook her head before turning her face away.

Makenna smirked, "I never said you asked. I'm saying I wanted to." She said, laughing softly. She got on his bike with him, her hands moving around his waist. She bit her bottom lip lightly, feeling his muscles under his shirt. Makenna relaxed as she felt him take off. She hadn't been on a bike in so long. Once they got to the docks she got up, watching as he got off. "I guess I will wait here." She said, watching him.

Alex frowned as she looked at him. He knew that he should be feeling some kind of sympathy but he couldn't muster it up. He glared at her, "I said quit crying." He snapped at her. Alex wasn't even sure if he had ever cried. Well there was that one time when his mom just left him sitting on a some random person's doorstep. That was the day that Alex decided he would never a shed a tear for anyone again.

Raine raised an eyebrow and said, "I see." He shrugged feeling her get on. Making sure she was good, he took off weaving in and out of cars laughing when they honked at him giving him the bird. He simply kept going until he made it to the docks. He was well aware of her arms around his toned body. He smirked slighlty before getting off of the bike after her. He looked around, seeing barely any activity. "No." He told her. "Come with me. Something's not right." He told her. "Well, come with me if you want to live. Your choice." He told her as he started towards the end of the pier.

"Yes because I can just control my emotions!" Claire snapped at him. "I told you to leave me alone. Looks like we each can't have everything we want!" She shook her head before looking back down at her feet. She shook her head before looking at the ceiling figures her tears would dry up if she stared at the lights long enough. She closed her eyes knowing she hadn't slept all night really. She had been unconscious but hadn't slept. She sniffed trying to make sure her nose didn't run. She didn't care what he did to her for her saying how she felt.

Makenna frowned when he said something wasn't right. She watched as he walked away, quickly following him. "You know you really shouldn't just walk away like that." She said softly. Though she did get the same eerie feeling like he did. Makenna bit her bottom lip lightly as they walked towards the end of the pier. She frowned as a guy stepped out in front of him, "Who the fuck is the chick Deluca." The guy said, looking at Makenna. "Unless you are bargaining with her." He said, smirking. Makenna rolled her eyes at the guys words. She hated people like him. She crossed her arms, staring at the guy. Makenna listened to the guys talk, feeling like someone else was there. She frowned when someone came up behind her, grabbing her arm. Makenna pulled against his grip, "Get off asshole." She said, glaring at the guy. She frowned when she heard his annoying words. She narrowed her eyes when he called her a bitch. "Excuse me?" She said. Makenna slammed her elbow into his ribs, causing the air to escape him before she twisted his hand, and took his knife from him. She glared at the guy that was now on the ground, "Next time have some manners." She said. She looked over at the guy in front of them that Raine was speaking to. "What the fuck Deluca you bring some chick who fucking fights for you now." He said, looking over at his friend, "Get up jackass. You are pathetic, letting some little girl kick your ass." He said.

Alex stared at her, "Whatever cry useless tears. It's not like it will fix anything." He said before he walked out of the room. He sighed as he sat down in his room, knowing that the guys from the gang could be coming soon. He didn't like the idea of Claire being out their alone. Alex walked out then grabbed her chair, pulling it down the hallway to his bedroom. He shut his door before he laid on his bed. "Shut up." He said before he closed his eyes.

Raine frowned glancing around and said, "Hush." He meant it. He needed to hear. He walked over and looked at the guy. Rolling his eyes, he said, "Back off, Mike. Not a bargaining chip. You know me better than that." He told him. He heard Makenna and turned around seeing the guy splayed out on the ground. "Maybe you shouldn't have some shady ass motherfuckers in the shadows. Not my fault his pussy ass got beat up." He told him frowning. Hearing Mike call her a little girl, he put his arm in front of her shooting her a look that said to back off. He looked back at the guys before looking at the guy who grabbed Makenna. He then got up in his face and said, "You grab another one of my people again, I'm going to fucking gut you and toss you in the ocean with a concrete block on your ugly face. Understood?" His presence had gotten a whole lot scarier as well as the look on his face, his shoulder hunched a little. People knew not to fuck with him. Seeing the guy nod, he stepped back running a hand through his hair before speaking with Mike again ignoring the other guy that looked scared shitless. He nodded listening to him talk. "Same time tomorrow?" he questioned, knowing that that was when the shipment was coming in. Once the guy gave him a nod, he turned around and started to walk with Makenna.

Claire rolled her eyes hearing him. Soon enough, her tears stopped and she was just sniffling. She blinked feeling her chair picked up and looked down seeing Alex. She raised an eyebrow, but didn't say anything. She watched him lay down and rolled her eyes. "For me to shut up, I would've had to have said something." That was the only comment she made as she stared out the window sighing softly. She watched his face for a moment before looking away and popping her neck, hearing a very audible cracking noise as she did so. The chair was doing nothing for her sore muscles and joints. She looked at the ground to see that her drawing was still there.
