Another long tour season was swiftly approaching the band members. Jimmy Sullivan, a particular drummer who went by 'The Rev', wasn't too fond of the idea. He loved his brothers dearly, but he always dreaded the moment of walking onto a stage before the faces of many human beings. Jimmy contemplated if he was intimidated by social interaction in large amounts, but it truly wouldn't make sense if he was the 'life of the party', and had been drumming for years as it was.

Packing for the bus became a chore for him, as he could've sworn he had put everything he needed together - yet kept finding things that he would need. Entirely frustrated, the blue-eyed male plopped down on his living room love-seat, sliding a hand into his shorts pocket to grab his cellular device. He didn't use it much, but he knew his parents suggested he got one for a reason...to communicate with people and get in touch with them. Navigating through the possible contacts, he found one he felt comfortable with at this exact time.

'Syn, tell me you're awake. I'm going crazy from packing shit, and I need out.'

As quick as he thought of the text message, he sent it without giving any second thought. Hopefully his best friend answered.

Brian sat on his couch, staring at the TV as he wasted time before he had to go to bed. He looked over as his cell phone lit up, but he was more surprised by the fact that it was Jimmy. He smirked when he looked at his friend's text, glancing up at the leftover Chinese food that was sitting on his coffee table. Brian hadn't really be doing much lately ever since he broke up with his girlfriend. There was something that he just felt was missing from that relationship.

"Yea man i'm awake. You wanna hit the bars?"

The text sent and Brian leaned back against his couch. Sure going out and drinking before they left the next morning for a tour might not have been the best idea, but hey they were rockstars. That was what they were suppose to do right? He got up, grabbing the chinese container before he walked to his kitchen. He tossed it in the trash and leaned against the couch. Brian stared at his phone, anxiously awaiting Jimmy's response. The two of them always had a pretty good time when they went out to the clubs or bars. Hell, Jimmy was one of his favorite people to party with.

'I'm more than willing to hit the bars, man. Come swing by my place? We could check out some of the places near here.'

Jimmy didn't hesitate in the slightest when it came to sending that text. He really wanted to see Brian, and it had been some time since he had seen him. They truly had a lot of catching up to do. Whether it was for a few minutes, or a whole night...it mattered to the drummer. So what, they'd be drinking before tour season officially started? It was their choice. They were grown men, and were plenty capable of making their own decisions.

Thinking ahead, he searched through his contacts once again, speed-dialing the number for his current significant other, Leana MacFadden. The oddest part was that he was immediately sent to her voicemail. That never happened. She always answered his calls. There probably wasn't a time where she didn't from the beginning of their relationship, onward.

    "That's...not right. What the hell?"

Brian looked at the text message, before he got up and went up to his bedroom to find something to wear. He settled for a pair of dark denim jeans and a black t-shirt. He pulled on his shoes, then grabbed his phone and send a text

    "I'm headed your way now."

He grabbed his keys on his way out the door, locking it behind him. Brian walked to his blacked out SUV, climbing inside. He started the car up and headed over to Jimmy's house. Brian got out of the car and walked up to his friend's house, walking inside. It really was rare for the guys to actually knock at each others house, "Hey asshole I'm here!" He called. He walked into the living room, seeing his friend looking at his phone confused. "What's wrong?" He asked, standing there with his keys in his hand. He was hoping that their night was going to be effected by this. He was really needed a night to blow off steam. Brian sat down on the couch next to Jimmy, "You ready?" He asked, smiling as his friend looked over.

To accompany his shorts, the drummer had grabbed an Iron Maiden sleeveless shirt that was laying over the back of his recliner chair, throwing it on nonchalantly. It truly made a great combination with the black shorts he already had on. In the corner of his eye, he could see Brian approaching him, and he knew he had to explain himself somehow.

"Oh, uh- Leana isn't answering my calls. It's unlike her, dude. Guess I was just baffled by it, y'know?"

Watching the lead guitarist sit down on the couch next to him, it gave him the automatic notion to put his phone away, smiling as big as he possibly could. No way, was he going to let some small ordeal ruin their night. She'd become something in the back of his mind.

    "I'm more than ready, Gates!"

Brian frowned when he heard Jimmy mention that Leana wasn't answering his phone calls. At first his mind drifted to his past issue with his ex-girlfriend. He shook his head, hoping to get rid of those thoughts. It just made him bitter and angry.

"I wouldn't worry about it." He said.

Brian got up from the couch when Jimmy said he was ready and walked out of the house with his friend. He climbed into his SUV, the he headed towards they club. He liked being able to spend time with his friend. The tour was going to be awesome and this was just a great way to start it out.

"Alright so I figured we would stop that the usual spot first."

The two of them liked to check out the club down town that had bands that played. It was something different and it gave them a chance to listen to some decent rock music. Brian parked the vehicle, then got out of the car. As they walked into the club he glanced around.

"Let's get some beers." He said, as he walked with Jimmy to the bar. He ordered himself a beer and a shot of whiskey. He looked over at Jimmy as he waited for him to get his drink. Brian took a swig of his beer. Brian threw back his shot, then set the glass down, watching as the bartender filled it again. He was trying to get a good buzz going at least.

Jimmy wasn't about to dwell on something that had nothing to do with his current plans. Leana was always decent to him, so as much as it was throwing him in a loop...the best he could do was brush it off, and wait for something else to occur. Besides, Brian was with him now.

"Exactly. No sense worrying. She wants to be that way, fine."

Leaving his condo to hit up the bars sounded like a real treat, and it led to Jimmy bouncing about in his seat. Whether it was because of the alcohol he was about to consume, or the nightlife he enjoyed being within, he could never get enough of it. Tour brought much more of it to the table, and he was ready to take it on.

"Sounds perfect, man! We'll stop at the spot, and keep moving on!"

All the drummer could hope was that decent bands were playing that night, but he knew better than to diss any band that had the guts to perform in front of a crowd. It took a lot of commitment to do it all, and being in that place before, left him zero room to be judging anyone else. The bar was ample when it came to the noise, but it wasn't overbearing. With a tap on the counter, Jimmy ordered a beer - and a shot of tequila to go with it. Figured he'd start the night off strong, and continue to make his way up. What did he have to lose? The shot went down quick, and the beer was guzzled a good amount.

"Dude, I feel like a dumbass. Here you are, lookin' pristine and dressed to impress...and then there's me. I look like I rolled out of bed and gave five percent of a damn." He roared, having to speak over other close conversations.

Brian looked at him, laughing, "Man, all these people came here to get fucked up. I doubt they care what you are wearing." He said. He took a sip of his beer, before throwing back another shot. Brian looked over as the band began to play his eyes focusing on them as they moved around the stage. They were actually pretty good. He finished up his beer, setting it on the bar. Brian took the beer from the girl behind the bar, ignoring her looking him over like he was sex on a stick. He looked at Jimmy, "So what bar do you want to hit up after this?" He asked him over the music.

The band finished part of their set and stepped off the stage. Brian finished his beer, "Alright you ready to roll onto the next one Rev?" He asked, paying his tab. He could tell his friend was already feeling it, but he was also pretty buzzed himself. They would no doubt be taking a taxi home by the end of the night. Brian walked out of the bar with his friend, climbing into his car. Sure he knew that drinking in driving wasn't the best idea, but he was confident that he would be okay to get to the next place. Brian turned on the radio, turning the volume up as they cruised along.

He parked in the parking lot of the next bar, "Alright let's go get fucked up." He said, chuckling as he got out. He locked his doors, walking beside of Jimmy. He was glad they were getting this time together. Though they would be spending a lot of time together on the tour.

"It's more so in the sense of being with you, dude. I'm very lax, compared to what you've got on. Then again, you can always manage to look good, regardless of what you wear."

Jimmy brought his beer to his lips once again, following suit of his best friend. His beer was gone faster than he could comprehend, and that only meant that he was supposed to get another one - which was easy to accomplish with girls walking around, booze on platters...ready to go around. He ignored their glances, and quickly grabbed what he needed, before returning to Brian.

"I don't care, Gates. Quite frankly, I'm fine leaving this one and heading elsewhere."

He heard something about wanting to go to the next location, and it led the drummer to nod. His eyelids were getting a little heavy, and he already knew it was the alcohol's doing. He wasn't complaining, however. Sliding in the car with the lead guitarist, he buckled his seat belt, just for safety reasons. If they managed to get pulled over, or in an accident...at least he'd be alive.

The next bar came to view, and Jimmy could feel himself growing excited about it. If it was one thing he knew, it was that he truly knew how to have a good time in the nightlife. Having his best friend by his side, made it so much more enjoyable and worthwhile.

"Let's get hammered, dude! I can just taste the hard liquor in this place, and I haven't even entered yet!"

Brian laughed as he got out of the car, "Hell yea man!" He exclaimed as they got out. He walked with Jimmy into the bar, finding and open place at the bar so they could order their drinks. He ordered them beers and two shots of tequila. Brian held his shot glass up, "To my best friend." He toasted, smirking at Jimmy. He stared at him for a few seconds, taking in how attractive his friend really was. He took the shot trying to get that thought out of his head. Jimmy was his best friend and band mate, and he couldn't be thinking of him that way. Plus, Jimmy was in a relationship which made it even worse. Brian didn't know why that thought even came into his mind. He took a swig of his beer, ordering another round of shots.

After a few more shots and a ton of beer Brian could see that Jimmy was just as fucked up as he was. "You alright Rev?" He asked, patting his friend on the back. "We can head back to my place if you want." He slurred. "I will call a taxi." He said. He knew he was in no shape to drive and he wasn't going to risk it. Brian called them a cab then staggered out of the bar with Jimmy, laughing all the way. Brian got in the cab with Jimmy, feeling his leg brush against his friends. He stared at his friend for a moment before looking out the window. That tequila was really messing with his head.

Brian climbed out of the cab and walked up to his house, unlocking the door. He staggered inside, throwing his keys on the table. "Dude I could eat pizza." He slurred. "You want me to make one?" He asked. Brian always had frozen pizzas in his freezer so that he could make them when he needed them. He walked to the kitchen, pulling a pizza out of the freezer. He got it ready then shoved it in the oven. "Fuck cook faster." He said, laughing as he looked at the stove. He looked over at Jimmy, before leaning against the counter next to him. "That was so much fun." He said.

It was almost like the entire rest of the time at the bar was a blur. Jimmy briskly remembered having a few more drinks, something along the lines of singing obnoxious karaoke, and dancing among random strangers. The alcohol had surely taken full effect, as his vision was trying to do more than just double. He hadn't been this drunk in a LONG time, and quite honestly - he was enjoying the feeling.

He was practically leaning against his best friend for support, as his legs felt heavier than lead at this point. It would probably be wise to get some water or food in his system, or else he would be sicker than a dog in the hours to follow, which wouldn't be a good combination for tour season. Thankfully, there was a cab for the both of them to relax in, up until they would arrive at Brian's abode, but in the back of his mind...he was wondering about how Brian would get his own car back.

Upon arriving at the Haner residence, the drummer leaned against the counter, using it for a form of support. Pizza sounded absolutely wonderful, and he was more than glad to hear Brian saying something about making one. He was ready to dig in, no holds barred.

"Goddamn dude, that was a blast. I don't think I can stand on my own, but fuck...is it ever worth it." Jimmy spoke, a loud hiccup eliciting from him, leading him to cover his mouth.

Brian looked at him, laughing, "Yea It was really fun." He said. His eyes moved over Jimmy's body. He wasn't sure why he felt a sudden attraction to his friend. He had never felt like that about him or any other guy. Brian waited for Jimmy to look at him, then leaned in kissing him. He placed his hand on his friend's cheek, kissing him deeply. He pulled away slowly, staring at Jimmy for a moment. Brian looked over as the timer for the pizza went off. He moved over to the oven and got the pizza out. He could feel Jimmy's eyes on him, but he wasn't sure what to say.

He set the pizza on the counter, cutting it into slices. "How many pieces of pizza would you like?" He asked. He began to eat his slice of pizza, looking at him. "I'm sorry about that." He finally spoke. He knew that he wasn't sorry, but he was sure Jimmy wasn't ready for that at all.

"Hell yeah, dude. We need to keep doing things like that, again. Tour is going to make it hard, but I think we'll have a good time!"

The drummer looked at Brian, and gave his entire body a quick scan. How was it that he never noticed how his best friend looked? He looked, so good - wait, what was his thinking? Jimmy never thought this way, did he? Confusion officially set in at this point, and it all came to a point when his phone vibrated.

It was a text message. Something from Leana. His girlfriend that he had seemed to forget about, during his time out. All he could make out were words talking about being 'done', a 'break-up', and wanting to 'stop dating'. As much as he wanted to unleash anger, he just couldn't bring himself to. He had a feeling that things were strange in their relationship, so why complain?

Jimmy grabbed a piece of pizza, shoving a good amount of it into his mouth.

    "Well, guess I'm single now!"

    [That's okay! No worries!]

Brian frowned as he looked at Jimmy, "What do you mean?" He asked as he took a bite of his pizza. He was surprised when he heard him saying that Leana dumped him. "Man what a bitch." He said. He finished his pizza then once they were done he put the leftovers away. "You going to crash here tonight?" He asked as he sat on the couch in the living room. He wouldn't mind if his friend stayed over. Brian did tend to get lonely sometimes when he was at home too long. Brian smiled at Jimmy as he joined him on the couch, "You are good company." He said as he put his arm around his shoulders. Brian turned on the tv, feeling the alcohol taking over him. As much as he wanted to go to his room and pass out , he wanted to spend more time with Jimmy.

Jimmy truly didn't even care at this point. If Leana truly wanted to be that way, then what choice did he have? She made her decision, and he wasn't going to be the type to protest about it. Clearly she had her reasons (though probably invalid), and their relationship was probably better off broken.

Before Brian had fully put the leftovers away, the drummer stole another piece of pizza for himself, shoving it into his mouth again. Alcohol always managed to make him extremely hungry after drinking an excessive amount. His eyes locked onto his best friend's for a moment, before swallowing his chewed bit.

"Of course I'm crashin' here! No way I'm going to be able to make it home, dude."

The drummer had plopped down on the couch next to Brian, getting comfortable as he removed his slip-on shoes. Upon feeling an arm go around him, he snuggled into the embrace, appreciating the positive attention he was getting from someone.

The effects of the booze were setting in full stage, and he was growing incredibly dizzy. Jimmy looked up at Brian once more, a quirky smile spreading across his face.

"Thanks buddy, you're a great person to spend time with."
